OAOA.com: A Kermit (Texas) parent said his fourth-grade student was suspended Friday for allegedly making a terroristic threat.

His father, Jason Steward, said the family had been to see “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” last weekend. His son brought a ring to his class at Kermit Elementary School and told another boy his magic ring could make the boy disappear.

Steward said the principal said threats to another child’s safety would not be tolerated – whether magical or not. Principal Roxanne Greer declined to comment on the matter. “All student stuff is confidential,” Greer said. She referred a call from the Odessa American to Kermit ISD Superintendent Bill Boyd, who did not return a phone call.

Steward said he didn’t understand why his son was removed from school and why the district didn’t just send a letter home.

He said he requested that the school send him “something in writing” saying that the school suspended his son and why they suspended him. Steward was told the school would put the letter in the mail.

Steward said his son has attended Kermit Elementary since August. The 9-year-old has been in in-school suspension for referring to another student’s skin color and got in trouble for bringing a kids’ book about pregnancy to school.

  1. Careful Public Schools your ignorance and Progressive Globalist Elite Super-State Agenda is showing 🙂

    • The in-school suspension for referring to another child’s skin color was for “calling a black classmate black”; i.e., punishment for not saying “african american” instead.

      • Anonymous, you have brought to mind the question — what do you call a child who is of predominately western European ancestry? Do you call them “white?” Is this offensive? What do you call them??? What about the situation that a student is from Africa, having just immigrated–would the title “African American” be correct? I don’t think so, not if they were not born in America, or had not become a naturalized citizen. Would you call them an African? This is such gross lunacy, it’s unbelievable. Shame on the school administrators–people like this who made stupid decisions need to be kicked to the curb! I am so grateful that I don’t go to school in this day and age.

      • Anon, great link. In it the Father says
“”I assure you my son lacks the magical powers necessary to threaten his friend’s existence,” Steward told the News. “If he did, I’m sure he’d bring him right back.”” Now That is funny.
Bear with me folks this may be a bit long. So this kid gets suspended for calling a black kid black. Hmmm
True story that happened to my Son this year in some dumb class. The project was to take an egg home and care for it all weekend long and not break it. OK so teacher walks around and hands out the white eggs to the students. There is only one Black girl in class and teacher had colored it like brown. When the students saw that they went nuts screaming “That’s so racist” . Teacher froze for a moment. My son to his credit stood up and said NO IT IS NOT He looked at them and said you are all out of your mind. You see racism in everything. He said
Whatever her name is, is Black. ( He did not get suspended. LOL )
She would have a black child. So she should get a black egg. He was getting pissed and finished with
Where do you learn this stuff? Do your parents teach you this?
The teacher smiled at him, put her hand on his back and said ok pls sit, and thank you. After class he spoke to girl and asked was he wrong? Was he racist. She said no you are right. I’m black, I will have a black child. She was so happy the teacher included her with a colored egg and the kids who screamed racism ruined it.
The school my son goes to is good. Really they don’t play that pc BS.
So this behavior must be learned t home.

It seems the educators are the ones in need of an education in reality. They are acting more like children
I can only wonder why they seem to be determined to stifle a child’s normal and healthy imagination.

    • Maybe they’re upset because he used the magic to turn his teacher into a toad 🙂

    • “You can’t make Socialists out of individualists– children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming, where everyone is interdependent.” –John Dewey (educrats’ big hero)

  4. Isn’t this just ridiculous? The schools these days are making children’s brains disappear through all their Liberal lunacy. Children are being muffled by all this PC garbage and it’s difficult for them to be and act like real children. Unless of course the Libratards decide it’s sex education day and then all sorts of age unappropriate “stuff” comes flying out of the woodwork. If I had children I’d rather another child tell them they were going to make him/ her disappear than to have a supposed adult educator teach my second grader the fine art of condom application. 😳😳😳😳😳

  5. Wow–and he also got in trouble for bringing a KID’S pregnancy book to school? Guess they got bent out of shape because such a book would not be likely to destroy the child’s innocence or poison his attitude toward the miracle of birth.

  6. Damn, I should have robbed a bank so I could have finished my last year of college and gone on to law school.
LOL – I’d be retired and living in Aruba by now. 😀

  7. For one, the principle is crazy. Disappearance is NOT death, just invisibility. Second, suspensions beacuse of that are crazy, at some schools, a kid would have to beat up a kid about 50 times to get suspended! And a ring! I can see a wand or a sword, but a ring! People these days are so stupid, witch makes me wonder about the state of public education. And also, it has nothing to do with harm, or terrorism, so I hope the idiot who suspended him reads this, and i hope the kid comes back and sticks Frodo’s sword, sting, up his nose.
