Daffy Killed

End to the search for the elusive Colonel “call me Waldo” Khadafy/Gaddafi, networth $1 Billion.
Reuters is reporting that rebels had captured and killed the SOB. Like that other Arab dictator, Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi was also found hiding in a hole.

Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi died of wounds suffered on Thursday as fighters battling to complete an eight-month-old uprising against his rule overran his hometown Sirte, Libya’s interim rulers said.
His killing, which came swiftly after his capture near Sirte, is the most dramatic single development in the Arab Spring revolts that have unseated rulers in Egypt and Tunisia and threatened the grip on power of the leaders of Syria and Yemen.
“He (Gaddafi) was also hit in his head,” National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid Mlegta told Reuters. “There was a lot of firing against his group and he died.”
Mlegta told Reuters earlier that Gaddafi, who was in his late 60s, was captured and wounded in both legs at dawn on Thursday as he tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked. He said he had been taken away by an ambulance.
There was no independent confirmation of his remarks.
An anti-Gaddafi fighter said Gaddafi had been found hiding in a hole in the ground and had said “Don’t shoot, don’t shoot” to the men who grabbed him.

  1. this must have been the reason Hillary stopped there to give them a bunch of money. This dishing out money like it grows on trees has to stop. No foreign aid except to Israel. Get the United States out of Libya.

  2. He’s looked better.
I just wonder how much worse (particularly from the perspective of the Israelis) whichever goon(s) winds up replacing him is(are) going to be.
    “Arab Spring” my big toe.
This is Arab Winter setting in, and I bet an ill wind will soon be blowing through Israel.

  3. yuck that photo….good riddance.

  4. Oddly enough, the Libyan people had pretty much the highest standard of living on the continent.
Col. Daffy was a jerk, for sure, but we have seen worse.
The underpinnings of this revolt might be legitimate, but what is going to happen if/when the Libyan people figure out, much like the Egyptians are now finding, that they may have traded the frying pan for the fire?
That would lead to even more unrest, and chaos often springs into tyranny.
I think what we are seeing a systematic and region-wide purge of the more moderate Arab leaders that will ultimately be replaced by hard-core Islamic true-believers.
Islam’s ultimate goal hasn’t changed – world domination, but their near-term goal is to wipe Israel out as a nation, and getting rid of the Arab leaders that weren’t exactly all that hot about the idea is another step in that direction.
I hope Netanyahu is the man I think he is.

  5. Sob, sob sob; not uncle Momar, they killed Qadafi,.
What is Louis FariKhan going to do?
    SOB means your next Louie.
You can join all the other good Muslims.
Say hello to Osama Bin Laden, if you can between screams.

  6. I don’t like this, at all.
I guess trials are so George Bush or something….and these people are our new BFFs…what a crock.
The entire thing stinks to heaven…Hillary’s sudden first trip there and then coincidentally, the next day, Khadaffi, is dead.
Yes, he was a dictator and not a friend to his people and had involvement in bringing down the PanAm flight…so then…if the “rebels” are more enlightened and a better alternative, their action certainly don’t show it here, they don’t dill me with anything remotely resembling confidence.
Also, if showing the dead body of Osama was going to inflame the Muslim world why are we able to see Khadaffi and son beaten to death and killed? This was disgusting. To me this is proof positive that the rumor of Osama already being dead is highly likely…..that Obama trotted him out and the whole Navy Seals attack bla bla bla was an Obama PR campaign…..
and now the Fraud is going to come on TV and take some sort of credit for his prolonged “not war” and another dead person of his choosing.
The whole business by this “Nobel Peace Prize” winner is a farce.
He is inept and incompetent when it come to the affairs of America so tries to bolster his manhood by killing despots.
Live by the sword, die by the sword.
I read last night that CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood are behind “Occupy Orlando” and Samatha Powers/Soros are behind the bs in Uganda…….
Obama cannot be evicted soon enough…..he/his administration is so morally bankrupt that it hurts my soul, disgusts me.
Next we will kill Kony (sp?) in Uganda.
Where is Code Pink? Where is the peaceful Left?
    The whole think is rotten

  8. g,
The short answer to your question “What right did/does NATO have” to overthrow Daffy is United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973, on the situation in Libya, proposed by France, Lebanon, and the United Kingdom, and adopted on 17 March 2011. Ten Security Council members voted in the affirmative (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Gabon, Lebanon, Nigeria, Portugal, South Africa, and permanent members France, the United Kingdom, and the United States). Five (Brazil, Germany, and India, and permanent members China and Russia) abstained, with none opposed. The resolution formed the legal basis for military intervention in the Libyan civil war, demanding “an immediate ceasefire” and authorizing the international community to establish a no-fly zone and to use all means necessary short of foreign occupation to protect civilians.

Since the start of the campaign, there have been allegations of violating the limits imposed upon the intervention by Resolution 1973 and by US law. At the end of May 2011, Western troops were captured on film in Libya, despite Resolution 1973 specifically forbidding “a foreign occupation force of any form on any part of Libyan territory”.[463] In the article however, it reports that armed Westerners but not Western troops were on the ground.
On 10 June, US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates criticized some of the NATO member nations for their efforts, or lack thereof, to participate in the intervention in Libya. Gates singled out Germany, Poland, Spain, Turkey, and the Netherlands for criticism. He praised Canada, Norway and Denmark, saying that although those three countries had only provided twelve percent of the aircraft to the operation, their aircraft had conducted one-third of the strikes.

This is not to say that I agree or disagree with the justification.
