- Scroll down to “Check the Status of Your Economic Impact Payments
- Click “Get My Payment”
- You’ll be asked to enter your name, Social Security number, birth date, and address.
UPDATE (Jan. 7, 2021):
If you get the message “Payment Status #2 – Not Available”, that means you will not receive a second stimulus check automatically. You’ll have to wait until you file your 2020 taxes to get the second stimulus payment, even if you had received the first stimulus check with no issues.
An IRS spokesman said: “The IRS advises people that if they don’t receive their Economic Impact Payment, they should file their 2020 tax return electronically and claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their tax return to get their payment and any refund as quickly as possible.”
