This has been revamped from last year’s version.  I love this story.  A text version is here.

  1. Grannie, in all sincerity, that was nothing short of incredible. Thank you for using your talent to glorify Him.

    • I’m so glad you like it, Sage! When Roger heard I was revamping it, he offered to redo his reading. I told him I just felt the urge to add the scripture. John 1:1-14 says it all.

      • John 1:1-14 was the perfect choice. So many post moderns are attempting to discredit it, as well as portions of Mark. I’m beyond grateful you used it. Thank you. 🙂

  2. Oh Grannie, thank you. We don’t do much for the holidays, the kids have drifted off and our parents are dead. I didn’t know what this was until it just started w/ the beggar and I knew then what it was! I heard it last year too, or read it, I don’t know. Maybe it’s God’s way of giving me a new tradition and a new story to lift our spirits in this season. The only other thing that makes me feel like it’s Christmas is “It’s A Wonderful Life” and yes, I cry at the end every time! May God bless you too, Grannie, I really needed that tonight. {{{LTG}}} Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you, as well. *curtsies*

    • Dear Christine, I’m so happy to hear it has such meaning for you! I had really compelling feeling to go back and tweak it and add that scripture yesterday morning. There must have been an angel on my shoulder urging me to make the change and post it for you!

      • Well, you go ahead and keep listening to that angel, it really made my day and my season – God Bless You Grannie, you are one of God’s angels! Merry Christmas!

  3. Thank you Granny, even my kid was asking me to pass the tissues.
    Awesome. And away it goes.

  4. Simply fabulous!
