Chicago church joins the Trayvon race-baiters

Reacting to last Saturday’s Zimmerman jury verdict of “not guilty,” this is the sign put out by the First Baptist Church of University Park, a suburb of Chicago:

CBS Chicago reports, July 16, 2013, that the sign has generated much controversy among University Park residents.

Several comments on the church’s Facebook page took issue with the reference to the Ku Klux Klan in the word Amerikkka, with many saying the church’s sign is hateful and divisive and implies that all white Americans are racist.

University Park resident Darnell Crawford said, “We know as black Americans what’s going on in our society. It doesn’t need to be exploited on a sign.”

Others, like Bettie Wayne, agree with the sign. Wayne said, “I think he is right. A black man is still not safe in the United States.”

The church responded by saying: “The message on the sign is not a message of hate. It is a message of awakening and call to action. It is a message not intended to divide, but to cause honest reflection in order to make this country a better place for ALL.” The pastor, Reginald Williams, also says he hopes the criticism he has received can be channeled to attack institutional racism in America.

The church has since changed the wording into a question: “Is It Safe To Kill Black People In America?”

“It Is Safe To Kill Black People In Amerikkka”

Really?

Why don’t you ask Blacks that question?

Why don’t you ask Blacks in Chicago that question?

There have been 20 homicides in the first week of July 2013 in Chicago. The victims are (source: RedEye Chicago):

  1. July 10: Marlon Young, a 39 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Auburn Gresham.
  2. July 8: Ed Cooper, a 15 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Humboldt Park.
  3. July 8: Georgina Randell, a 30 year old black female, caused by a gunshot in North Lawndale.

  14. July 4: Theodis Young, a 36 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Greater Grand Crossing.
  15. July 3: Ernest McMullen, a 26 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Woodlawn.
  16. July 3: Rayford Brown, a 24 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in South Shore.
  17. July 3: William Jones, a 26 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Auburn Gresham.
  18. July 3: Damani Henard, a 14 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Austin.
  19. July 2: Ashley Hardmon, a 19 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Austin.
  20. July 2: Terrence Graves, a 23 year old black male, caused by a gunshot in Washington Heights.

Notice a pattern? Um?

In fact, the death toll by murder in Chicago over the past decade is greater than the number of American forces who have died in Afghanistan since the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom, according to a police analysis. Read more here.

Chicago vs. Afghan war death rates

In fact, the Department of Justice’s own statistics say that not only are Blacks disproportionately victims of homicides, almost all of them are black-on-black killings. In 2005, Blacks accounted for 49% of all homicide victims in the United States — 93% of which were committed by their fellow Blacks.

So when race-baiters like “Rev.” Reginald Williams of the First Baptist Church of University Park put up a public sign that says “It Is Safe To Kill Black People In Amerikkka,” he really should point his finger back at his own “people.”

  1. They should know, blacks have been killing blacks in Chicàgo for years.

  2. I guess teaching love and Jesus is not what some churches are about. Especially not that one.

  3. How does a sign like that do anything good? If it’s a call to action, then what action are we talking about? (rhetorical question, we already know the answer)

  4. When you walk into a church and sit down to listen to the preacher then make sure the preacher represents the love of Jesus. Today we have to many preachers that have forgotten what love is and what Jesus was teaching. Some churches have preachers in them that are teaching all kinds of things to stir people up. But the love of Jesus is not one of them. If you find that problem then don’t make a donation until the church elders replace that preacher with one who has a passion for the love of Jesus Christ.

  5. I’m a white Czechoslavalian, my partners daughter is a white Cuban, my President is a white black man (he speaks black english on Tuesdays) The white Hispanic caught up in this mess, speaks white hispanic, (mostly on Thursdays). Our Justice Dept speaks communist American. My Vice President speaks, dumb white english…all the time…It sounds like the church listed above speaks with forked tongue… I really can’t keep up with all these new changes in my country.

  6. But it’s ok that they can kill each other- but God forbid a white person kills a black, then hold on there! Why don’t we have publicized trials of anyone black accused of murdering a caucasian? The racism in the U.S. will never go away as long you keep passing it on to your children…Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson need to just go away.

  7. Heck, with left/liberals, it’s not safe for anyone.

  8. What would the reaction be if the sign said ‘It Is Safe to Kill White People in America’? Or ‘It Is Safe to Kill Hispanic People in America’?

  9. Considering this pastor is affliated with Rev. Jeremiah Wright, I can honestly say I’m not surprised.

  10. Shameful…

  11. The educational system in the US is turning out students who can’t think like a human being is created by God to think. We humans are created in God’s image, and God is a spirit, and our minds are capable of spiritual activity, such as becoming wise, starting with fearing God. However well the brain functions, if we are not meditating on God’s word all the time, if you lose focus so to speak, look what a muddle people get into.

  12. Church leadership is supposed to preach, Love thy neighbor as thyself. Promoting color prejudice isn’t godly so why not tune into Emmanuel TV and get a load of Prophet TB Joshua, he will certainly put a song in your heart, a holy song, and deliverance is the thrust of his ministry so it is much more encouraging than these other dismal places would appear to be. He is located at the Synagogye Chhurch of all Nations in Lagos Migeria.

  13. Correction, Synagogue Church of all Nations, Lagos, Nigeria. SCOAN is the abbreviation of this title. Sorry everyone, it’s getting late. Sweet dreams……….

  14. I have to wonder just how many funerals for young black teens killed by other black teens this so-called “Reverend” has presided over?

This POS “reverend” is every bit as fraudulent as Jessie and Al.

    Screw him.

    -Dave

  15. This is common knowledge but Georhe Zinmerman is a Hispanic. The “KKK” is a white supremacy group.
Also, God teaches us to love. ” Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Any church that spreads this hate message should be eradicated.
