Congress releases classified 28 pages of 9/11 Report: It's Saudi Arabia

eowyn2

Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee released the long-awaited and much-speculated-about 28 pages from the report by the congressional Joint Inquiry Into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001. 9/11 was the worst attack on U.S. soil in U.S. history, second only to the 1941 Imperial Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Until yesterday, those 28 pages had been classified and, we were told, withheld from the American people by both the George W. Bush and Obama Administrations. But it turns out all along it was within the power of Congress to make public those 28 pages! No wonder politicians are held in such low regard by the American people.

The released 28 pages still contain a number of redactions, that appear to be the names of individuals and of Saudi businesses. The pages also make clear that they are based on FBI and CIA documents that the Joint Inquiry had not itself investigated, using the lame excuse that it did not have the resources to conduct such an investigation, which of course is horse manure.

As rumored, the 28 pages indeed implicate Saudi Arabia in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, but not of other rumored countries/governments, such as Israel. The Saudi government has issued a denial, but the 28 pages again and again point to Saudi government officials as being associated and met with, and financially supporting the 9/11 hijackers, including:

  • Former Saudi ambassador to the U.S. Prince Bandar and his wife; “blind” Shaykh al-Thumairy; and Abdullah Bin Laden, brother of Osama Bin Laden.
  • Saudi intelligence officers Omar al-Bayoumi and Osama Bassnan.
  • Saudi companies and mosques in the U.S. with connections to the Saudi government,

The 28 pages are in PDF format that does not enable copy-and-paste. I have therefore painstakingly transcribed the bulk of the pages into text (see below). I emboldened and colored red certain words, for emphasis. To read the 28 pages in PDF, go here.

From the formerly-classified 28 pages:

PART FOUR–FINDING, DISCUSSION AND NARRATIVE REGARDING CERTAIN SENSITIVE NATIONAL SECURITY MATTERS

Finding: While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support or assistance from, individuals who may be connected with the Saudi Government. There is information, primarily from FBI sources, that at least two of those individuals were alleged by some to be Saudi intelligence officers. The Joint Inquiry’s review confirmed that the Intelligence Community also has information, much of which has yet to be independently verified, indicating that individuals associated with the Saudi Government in the United States may have other ties to al-Qa’ida and other terrorist groups. The FBI and CIA have informed the Joint Inquiry that, since the September 11 attacks, they are treating the Saudi issue seriously, but both still have only a limited understanding of the Saudi Government’s ties to terrorist elements. In their testimony, neither CIA nor FBI witnesses were able to identify definitely the extent of Saudi support for terrorist activity globally or within the United States and the extent to which such support, if it exists, is knowing or inadvertent in nature. The FBI’s Washington Field Office created a squad devoted to [redacted]. Only recently and at least in part due to the Joint Inquiry’s focus on this issue, did the FBI and CIA establish a working group to address the Saudi issue. In the view of the Joint Inquiry, this gap in U.S. intelligence coverage is unacceptable, given the magnitude and immediacy of the potential risk to U.S. national security. The Intelligence Community needs to address this area of concern as aggressively and quickly as possible.

Discussion: One reason for the limited understanding is that it was only after September 11 that the U.S. Government began to aggressively investigate this issue. Prior to September 11, the FBI apparently did not focus investigative resources on [redacted] Saudi nationals in the United States due to Saudi Arabia’s status as an American “ally.” A representative of the FBI [redacted] testified that, prior to September 11, 2001, the FBI received “no reporting from any member of the Intelligence Community” that there was a [redacted] presence in the United States.

According to various FBI documents and at least one CIA memorandum, some of the September 11 hijackers, while in the United States, apparently had contacts with individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government. While the Joint Inquiry uncovered this material during the course of its review of FBI and CIA documents, it did not attempt to investigate and assess the accuracy and significance of this information independently, recognizing that such a task would be beyond the scope of this Joint Inquiry. Instead, the Joint Inquiry referred a detailed compilation of information uncovered by the Inquiry in documents and interviews to the FBI and CIA for further investigation by the Intelligence Community and, if appropriate, law enforcement agencies. A brief summary of the available information regarding some of these individuals is illustrative for purposes of this report:

  • Omar al-Bayoumi. The FBI has received numerous reports from individuals in the Muslim community, dating back to 1999, alleging that al-Bayoumi may be a Saudi intelligence officer. FBI files suggest that al-Bayoumi provided substantial assistance to hijackers Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi after they arrived in San Deigo in February 2000. Al-Bayoumi met the hijackers in a public place shorting after his meeting with an individual at the Saudi consulate and there are indications in the files that his encounter with the hijackers may not have been accidental. During this same time-frame, al-Bayoumi had extensive contact with Saudi Government establishments in the United States and received financial support from a Saudi company affiliated with the Saudi Ministry of Defense. According to the FBI files, [redacted] at the company said that al-Bayoumi received a monthly salary even though he had been there on only one occasion. This support increased substantially in April 2000, two months after the hijackers arrived in San Diego, decreased slightly in December 2000, and stayed at the same level until August 2001. That company reportedly had ties with Usami Bin Laden and al-Qa’ida. In addition, the FBI determined that al-Bayoumi was in contact with several individuals under FBI investigation and with the Holy Land Foundation, which has been under investigation as a fundraising front for Hamas.
  • Osama Bassnan. Bassnan may have been in contact with al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi during their time in San Diego. Bassnan was a close associate of al-Bayoumi and Omar Bakarbashat, another one of the hijackers’ close associates. He also lived across the street from the hijackers, and made a comment to an FBI asset that he did more than al-Bayoumi did for the hijackers. According to an FBI document, Bassnan told another individual that he met al-Hazmi through al-Bayoumi and later that he met two of the hijackers through al-Bayoumi. He also told the asset that al-Bayoumi was arrested because he knew al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi very well. The document goes on to state that Bassnan and al-Bayoumi have been “close to each other for a long time.” Bassnan has many ties to the Saudi Government, including past employment by the Saudi Arabian Education Mission, referred to in FBI documents as [redacted]. The FBI also received reports from individuals in the Muslim community alleging that Bassnan may be a Saudi intelligence officer. According to a CIA memo, Bassnan reportedly received funding and possibly a fake passport from Saudi Government officials. He and his wife have received financial support from the Saudi Ambassador to the United States and his wife. A CIA report also indicates that Bassnan traveled to Houston in 2002 and met with an individual who was [redacted]. The report states that during that trip a member of the Saudi Royal Family provided Bassnan with a significant amount of cash. FBI information indicates that Bassnan is an extremist and supporter of Usama Bin Laden, and has been connected to the Eritrean Islamic Jihad and the Blind Shaykh;
  • Shaykh al-Thumairy. According to FBI documents and a CIA memorandum, al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar may have been in contact with Shaykh al-Thumairy, an accredited diplomat in the Saudi Consulate in Los Angeles and one of the “imams” at the King Fahad mosque in Culver City, California. Also according to FBI documents, the mosque was built in 1998 from funding provided by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Abdulaziz. The mosque is reportedly attended by members of the Saudi Consulate in Los Angeles and is widely recognized for its anti-Western views;
  • Saleb al-Hussayen. In September 2001, Saleb al-Hussayen, reportedly a Saudi Interior Ministry official stayed in the same hotel in Herndon, Virginia where al-Hazmi was staying. While al-Hussayen claimed after September 11 not to know the hijackers, FBI agents believed he was being deceptive. He was able to depart the United States despite FBI efforts to locate and re-interview him; and
  • Abdullah Bin Laden. Abdullah Bin Laden claims to work for the Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C. as an administrative officer. He is identified by the FBI as Usama Bin Laden’s half brother. He is a close friend of Mohammed Quadir-Harunani, a possible associate of [9/11 hijackers] Mohammed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi prior to September 11, 2001.

The Joint Inquiry also found other indications that individuals connected to the Saudi Government have ties to terrorist networks, including:

  • The CIA and FBI have identifed the Ton Tamiyah Mosque in Culver City as a site of extremist-related activity. Several subjects of FBI investigation prior to September 11 had close connections to the mosque and are believed to have laundered money through this mosque to non-profit organizations overseas affiliated with Usama Bin Laden. In an interview, an FBI agent said he believed that Saudi Government money was being laundered through the mosque;
  • Another Saudi national with close ties to the Saudi Royal Family, [redacted], is the subject of FBI counterterrorism investigations and reportedly was checking security at the United States’ southwest border in 1999 and discussing the possibility of infiltrating individuals into the United States;
  • According to FBI documents, several of the phone numbers found in the phone book of Abu Zubaida, a senior al-Qa’ida operative captured in Pakistan in March 2002, could be linked, at least indirectly, to the telephone numbers in the United States. One of those U.S. numbers is subscribed to by the ASPCOL Corporation, which is located in Aspen, Colorado, and manages the affairs of the Colorado residence of the Saudi Ambassador Bandar. The FBI noted that ASPCOL has an unlisted telephone number. A November 18, 2002 FBI response to the Joint Inquiry states that “CIA traces have revealed no direct links between numbers found in Zubaida’s phone book and numbers in the United States.”
  • According to an FBI document, the telephone number of a body guard at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, DC, who some have alleged may be a [redacted] — was also found in Abu Zabaida’s possessions; and
  • According to an FBI agent in Phoenix, the FBI suspects Mohammed al-Qudhaeein of being [redacted]. Al-Qudhaeein was involved in a 1999 incident aboard an American West flight, which the FBI’s Phoenix office now suspects may have been a “dry run” to test airline security. During the flight, al-Qudhaeein and his associate asked the flight attendants a variety of suspicious questions; al-Qudhaeein then attempted to enter the cockpit on two occasions. Al-Qudhaeein and his associate were flying to Washington, D.C. to attend a party at the Saudi Embassy, and both claimed their tickets were paid for by the Saudi Embassy. During the course of its investigations, the FBI has discovered that both al-Qudhaeein and the other individual involved in this incident had connections to terrorism.

Finally, the Committees are particularly concerned about the serious nature of allegations contained in a CIA memorandum found by the Joint Inquiry Staff in the files of the FBI’s San Diego Field Office. That memorandum, which discusses alleged financial connections between the September 11 hijackers, Saudi Government officials, and members of the Saudi Royal Family, was drafted by a CIA officer [redacted], relying primarily on information from FI files. The CIA officer sent it to the CTC to determine whether CIA had additional information. He also provided a copy to the FBI agent responsible for the investigation of one of the individuals discussed in the memorandum. Despite the clear national implications of the memorandum, the FBI agent included the memoradum in an individual case file and did not forward it to FBI Headquarters. FBI Headquarters, therefore, was unaware of statements in the memorandum until the Joint Inquiry brought the memorandum’s implications to the Bureau’s attention. [redacted]

Possible Saudi Government Connections to Terrorists and Terrorist Groups

While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support or assistance from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government. There is information, from FBI sources, that at least two of these individuals were alleged to be Saudi intelligence officers. The Joint Inquiry’s review confirmed that the Intelligence Community also has information, much of which remains speculative and yet to be independently verified, indicating that Saudi Government officials in the United States may have other ties to al-Qa’ida and other terrorist groups. […]

In their testimony before the Joint Inquiry, neither the CIA nor the FBI was able to definitively identify for these Committees the extent of Saudi support for terrorist activity globally or within the United States and the extent to which such support, if it exists, is intentional or innocent in nature. Both the FBI and CIA have indicated to the Committees that they are now aggressively pursuing Saudi-related terrorism issues. […]

It should be clear that this Joint Inquiry has made no final determination as to the reliability or sufficiency of the information regarding these issues that we found contained in FBI and CIA documents. It was not the task of this Joint Inquiry to conduct the kind of extensive investigation that would be required to determined [sic] the true significance of any such alleged connections to the Saudi Government. On the one hand, it is possible that these kinds of connections could suggest, as indicated in a [redacted] dated July 2, 2002, “incontrovertible evidence that there is support for these terrorists within the Saudi Government.” On the other hand, it is also possible that further investigation of these allegations could reveal legitimate, and innocent, explanations for these associations.

Given the serious national security implications of this information, however, the leadership of the Joint Inquiry is referring the staff’s compilation of relevant information to both the FBI and the CIA for investigative review and appropriate investigative and intelligence action.

GOP platform nixes declassifying secret 28 pages of 9/11 report

Wed, 13 Jul 2016 12:12:57 +0000

eowyn2

Here’s more evidence that the Republican Party is rotten to its core.

Remember those 28 pages in the Congressional report on 9/11 which both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations have kept “classified,” i.e., secret from the American people?

Conducted by the House and Senate intelligence committees, the 838-page report was published in December 2002. The redacted 28 pages, titled “Part 4: Finding, Discussion and Narrative Regarding Certain Sensitive National Security Matters,” begins on Page 395 of the report.

Why are those pages important? Because former Sen. Bob Graham (D-Fla.), who was chairman of the congressional Joint Inquiry Into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001 that issued the 9/11 report, said “there is compelling evidence in the 28 pages that one or more foreign governments was involved in assisting some of the hijackers in their preparation for 9/11.” Graham later indicated that by “foreign governments” he was referring to Saudi Arabia. (15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis.)

Though classified, members of Congress can read the mysterious 28 pages in a special secure room on Capitol Hill if they get prior permission from the House or Senate Intelligence Committee. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky), one of 18 co-sponsors of a 2013 House resolution introduced by Congressman Walter Jones (R-NC) to declassify the pages, is one of a few to have read the classified 28 pages. Massie was shocked by what the pages reveal. He said:

“I had to stop every couple of pages and just sort of absorb and try to rearrange my understanding of history for the past 13 years and the years leading up to that. It challenges you to rethink everything.

Yesterday, July 12, however, the Republican platform committee voted down a plank introduced by Sen. Eric Brakey (R-Maine) calling for the declassification of those 28 pages.

9-11 devil face1

Jerome Corsi reports for WND that in drafting the platform plank, Brakey pointed out that Obama had twice promised 9/11 family members he would release the pages, which could be invaluable in any lawsuit. However, the administration has refused to declassify the pages, even in the face of bipartisan support for their release from former 9/11 commission members and 73 current representatives and senators.

Disappointed by the GOP platform committee’s decision, Brakey said:

“The public has a right to know. It saddens me that, here we are, 15 years later and it sounds like there’s key pieces of information to our understanding of what happened on that day, and the government has been keeping that information from us.”

Donald Trump has pushed for declassifying the 28 pages. He said on Fox News on April 19: “I think I know what it’s going to say. It’s going to be very profound, having to do with Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia’s role on the World Trade Center and the attack. That’s very serious stuff. It’s sort of nice to know who your friends are and perhaps who your enemies are. You’re going to see some very revealing things in those papers.”

In 2014, McDonnell and his wife were convicted by a federal jury of corruption charges for receiving improper gifts and loans from a Virginia businessman. In 2015, they were sentenced to two years in prison, followed by two years of supervised release. On June 27, 2016, Supreme Court unanimously vacated McDonnell’s conviction and remanded the case back to a lower court.

Orlando terrorist-killer Omar Mateen worked for a security firm with DHS contract to identify suspected terrorists

This would be funny if it weren’t so outrageous.
The private security firm that had employed Orlando gay club shooter Omar Mateen since 2007, is an outfit called G4S Security Solutions USA, which claims to be the world’s leading security contractor with operations in more than 100 countries and 610,000 employees, including 50,000 Americans.
It turns out D4S has a $234 million contract with the Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to, among other things, identify suspected terrorists trying to enter the U.S. — all while Mateen, a Muslim terrorist who killed 50 and wounded another 53 at the Pulse gay club in Orlando, Florida, was right under their nose.
Talk about a case of fox guarding the hen house!
To top it off, the clueless G4S also provides security for 90% of America’s nuclear facilities!
G4S Secure Solutions USA - fox guarding hen house
Paul Sperry, New York Post columnist and author of INFILTRATION: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington, writes for Counter Jihad, June 13, 2016, that “The Orlando nightclub terrorist who pledged allegiance to ISIS worked almost a decade for a major Department of Homeland Security contractor, raising alarms that ISIS sympathizers and agents have infiltrated the federal agency set up after 9/11 to combat terrorists.”
Orlando shooter Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, an Afghan-American who held two firearms licenses and a security officer license, was employed by the security firm G4S Secure Solutions USA Inc. since Sept. 10, 2007.
After 9/11, G4S, based in Jupiter, Florida, merged with the Wackenhut Corp. and became the first contract security company to received designation and certification by DHS.
Through the U.S. General Services Administration, the company supplies federal agencies with guards, detention officers, court security officers, baggage handlers, security clerks, and prisoner bus and van drivers in contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The security company’s contract with DHS alone amounts to more than $234 million. In addition to the DHS, G4S has contracts with the Departments of State, Interior, Labor, Justice, and Energy; the IRS; Drug Enforcement Administration; U.S. Army; U.S. Air Force; and NASA.
G4S’s contracted tasks for the federal government include:

  1. Identify “suspected terrorists” trying to enter the U.S.
  2. Provide “support” to DHS and Customs and Border Protection (CPB) with their operations at the U.S.-Mexican border.
  3. Work with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to transport illegal immigrants in fortified buses from city to city and from cities to the US-Mexican border. (Source: G4S’s “Providing Manpower Solutions for Government Services” brochure.) Judicial Watch, however, discovered that G4S has been quietly moving and releasing van loads of illegal aliens away from the border to interior American cities. The illegals were mostly Central Americans but possibly also from the Middle East and Pakistan.
  4. Provide security guards and other security services for 90 percent of U.S. nuclear facilities.
  5. Help the federal government with emergency security responses to “terror threats.”

It’s not clear if Omar Mateen worked on any federal contracts or dealt with federal inmates. It’s also not immediately known if he had federal security clearances, or what kind of security background check G4S administered before hiring Mateen. Company brochure says security officers “are subjected to a stringent background investigation” that includes psychological, background and criminal screening.” However, one of Mateen’s jobs was to help transport and guard state and local prisoner youths in Florida, despite reports he openly praised ISIS in conversations with co-workers, and even though he had been under federal investigation for terrorism ties since at least 2013.
In a 2012 company newsletter, G4S congratulated Mateen for five years of service. Attempts to reach G4S representatives Sunday were unsuccessful.
It’s not the first time a federal contractor has employed a major Islamic terrorist.
In 2008, Charlotte, N.C.-based Convergys Corp. came under fire for employing 22-year-old Sami Khan, a Muslim computer operator who openly maintained a jihadist website featuring grisly images of American soldiers blown up by al-Qaida terrorists overseas which he said “bring great happiness to me.” Convergys at the time had landed a $2.5 billion federal contract to set up emergency communications centers in the event to terrorist attacks and other disasters. Khan turned out to be an al-Qaida operative. He was killed in 2011 in a U.S. drone strike in Yemen.

Why did Jewish senator Schumer sabotage Senate bill to hold Saudi Arabia accountable for 9/11?

28 pages of the Senate’s 9/11 report are still classified, kept a secret from the American people because, continuing what the Bush administration had done, the Obama administration refuses to declassify them.

9-11 devil face1

Authentic, undoctored photo taken by AP photog Mark D. Phillips on 9/11.

In 2013, conservative Congressman Walter Jones (R-N.C.) revived the push to declassify the 28 pages by sponsoring a House resolution because, as he put it, “the American people deserve the truth. Releasing these pages will enhance our national security, not harm it.” Jones has since become one of the most outspoken opponents of reckless U.S. intervention abroad.
Last May, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) joined the 28-page fight by introducing the Transparency for the Families of 9/11 Victims and Survivors Act, which was opposed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie who instead urged deference to Obama’s judgment on the issue.
Members of Congress can read the still-classified 28 pages in a special secure room on Capitol Hill if they get prior permission from the House or Senate Intelligence Committee. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), one of 18 co-sponsors of Jones’ resolution, is one of a few to have read the classified 28 pages. Massie was shocked: “I had to stop every couple of pages and just sort of absorb and try to rearrange my understanding of history for the past 13 years and the years leading up to that. It challenges you to rethink everything.
Said to have bankrolled the 9/11 attacks that launched the United States on its War on Terror which has cost thousands of American lives and more than $1.6 trillion, Saudi Arabia is widely reported to be bankrolling Islamic State terrorists throughout the Middle East. None other than Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told a Senate committee last September that “I know major Arab allies who fund [ISIS].”
In response to the Congressional investigation into Saudi Arabia’s role in 9/11, the Saudi government first threatened to dump its U.S. treasury holdings of $750 billion, then pointed the finger at the U.S. government being responsible for carrying out the 9/11 attack in order to create the War on Terror.
Writing in the London-based Al Hayat newspaper, Saudi legal scholar Katib al Shammari, who is believed to represent the view of the Saudi government,   called 9/11 an inside job — “a purely American action, planned and carried out within the U.S.” Al Shammari cites as proof “the sequence of continuous explosions that dramatically ripped through both buildings… Expert structural engineers demolished them with explosives, while the planes crashing only gave the green light for the detonation – they were not the reason for the collapse. But the U.S. still spreads blame in all directions.”
9-11 jumper

Remember the 9/11 jumpers

On May 17, 2016, the Senate passed S. 2040: Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act to enable 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia. As S. 2040 puts it:

Section 2(a)(6): Persons, entities, or countries that knowingly or recklessly contribute material support or resources, directly or indirectly, to persons or organizations that pose a significant risk of committing acts of terrorism that threaten the security of nationals of the United States or the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States, necessarily direct their conduct at the United States, and should reasonably anticipate being brought to court in the United States to answer for such activities.
Section 2(b): Purpose- The purpose of this Act is to provide civil litigants with the broadest possible basis, consistent with the Constitution of the United States, to seek relief against persons, entities, and foreign countries, wherever acting and wherever they may be found, that have provided material support, directly or indirectly, to foreign organizations or persons that engage in terrorist activities against the United States.
Section 3(b): Responsibility of Foreign States- A foreign state shall not be immune from the jurisdiction of the courts of the United States in any case in which money damages are sought against a foreign state for physical injury to person or property or death occurring in the United States and caused by–(1) an act of international terrorism in the United States.
Section 3(c): Claims by Nationals of the United States- Notwithstanding section 2337(2) of title 18, a national of the United States may bring a claim against a foreign state in accordance with section 2333 of that title if the foreign state would not be immune under subsection (b).

That’s all well and good.
What you don’t know is that the final version of S. 2040: Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act — the one that was passed by the Senate on May 17, 2016, contains an amendment (Senate Amendment 3945: Section 5 of S. 2040) that wasn’t in the original draft of the bill, and that the amendment effectively neuters the bill by allowing the State and Justice Departments to seek from the court continual 180-day stays, thus killing any lawsuits indefinitely.
Below are the relevant portions of S. 2040’s Section 5:

Section 5(b): Intervention- The Attorney General may intervene in any action in which a foreign state is subject to the jurisdiction of a court of the United States under section 1605B of title 28, United States Code, as added by section 3(a) of this Act, for the purpose of seeking a stay of the civil action, in whole or in part.
Section 5 (c) Stay-(1) IN GENERAL- A court of the United States may stay a proceeding against a foreign state if the Secretary of State certifies that the United States is engaged in good faith discussions with the foreign state defendant concerning the resolution of the claims against the foreign state, or any other parties as to whom a stay of claims is sought. (2) DURATION- (A) IN GENERAL- A stay under this section may be granted for not more than 180 days. (B) EXTENSION-(i) IN GENERAL- The Attorney General may petition the court for an extension of the stay for additional 180-day periods. (ii) RECERTIFICATION- A court shall grant an extension under clause (i) if the Secretary of State recertifies that the United States remains engaged in good faith discussions with the foreign state defendant concerning the resolution of the claims against the foreign state, or any other parties as to whom a stay of claims is sought.

In law, the noun “stay” means “a suspension or postponement of judicial proceedings.”
In other words, Section 5 of S. 2040, which was added to the bill via an amendment, enables the permanent suspension (“extension of the stay for additional 180-day periods“) of any lawsuits against Saudi Arabia for its role in 9/11.
The amendment that neutered S. 2040: Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, was introduced and co-sponsored by a Jewish senator, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who is one of the 24 original co-sponsors of S. 2040 in the first place.

Sen. Chuck SchumerNow ask yourself these questions:

  1. Why would a Jewish U.S. senator help to shield Saudi Arabia, a Muslim country, from lawsuits brought by American victims of 9/11? Aren’t Jews and Muslims supposed to be enemies?
  2. Why would Schumer sponsor S. 2040: Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, then sabotage it with an amendment that defangs the Act?
  3. And why would the Senate approve of Schumer’s amendment by unanimous consent, thereby rendering toothless and really quite pointless the entire Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act? Unless, of course, S. 2040 is all just “smoke and mirror” for show?

In a for-subscribers-only article on May 26, 2016, investigative independent journalist Wayne Madsen not only identifies Saudi Arabia as the country that provided the manpower, finances, and hijacker personnel for 9/11’s cover story that “Al Qaeda did it,” he maintains that Schumer’s amendment was prompted by Israel.
Referring to Saudi Arabia now accusing the U.S. of instigating 9/11, Madsen writes:

Alarmed by the willingness of its regional ally Saudi Arabia to question the official version of 9/11, Israel weighed in with New York Democratic Senator Charles Schumer to place a “poison pill” in the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism (JASTA) bill that cleared the Senate in a unanimous vote. The bill would allow the families of the victims of foreign government-sponsored terrorism to sue the governments involved for damages. The law [S. 2040], which President Obama indicated he would veto, would lift “sovereign immunity” on countries like Saudi Arabia, thus making them liable for civil law suits. Schumer placed an amendment inside the JASTA bill that would allow Saudi Arabia to avoid law suits so long as the U.S. State and Justice Departments certified to the trial judge hearing any JASTA case that the two departments were making good faith efforts with the defendant country to resolve any issues bilaterally. Schumer’s amendment — the Stay of Actions Pending State Negotiations — would also allow the State and Justice Departments to seek from the court continual 180-day stays, thus killing any lawsuits indefinitely.
Israel is also concerned that it, too, could face lawsuits under the provisions of JASTA. WMR has previously reported that some of the footnotes in the classified 28 pages provide links that lead to Israeli involvement in 9/11. It is noteworthy that the Saudis are blaming the George W. Bush administration for carrying out 9/11 and are leaving Israel out of the equation. Schumer’s actions on behalf of the Saudis are a clear indication that the Saudi-Israeli alliance remains intact.
Coupled with House Speaker Paul Ryan’s decision, after his recent trip to Saudi Arabia, to not allow JASTA to come before a full House vote and Obama’s promise to veto the bill, it is all but dead. Meanwhile, Congress has been inundated with Saudi lobbyists who now appear to have been successful in killing off JASTA. However, the damage to the troika of conspirators may have already been done.
Schumer, a virtual agent for the government of Israel, has killed JASTA to protect two of the conspirators — Israel and Saudi Arabia. That leaves only the U.S. neoconservatives who were involved in facilitating 9/11 without protection. And with Donald Trump already giving muted signals that 9/11 was an inside job, the neocons have only Hillary Clinton to provide them protection. If Trump wins the White House, the neocons will be left as the exposed third leg of the 9/11 troika.

Saudi Arabia threatens to dump $750 billion in U.S. treasury securities if Congress investigates Saudi role in 9/11

Do you remember my post of January 2, 2015, on how the Obama administration refused to declassify 28 pages of the 9/11 report on foreign governments’ involvement?
In so doing, Obama was continuing what the George W. Bush administration had done, despite the fact that former Sen. Bob Graham (D-Fla.) — chairman of the congressional Joint Inquiry Into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001, which had issued the 9/11 report — declared that “there is compelling evidence in the 28 pages that one or more foreign governments was involved in assisting some of the hijackers in their preparation for 9/11.” Graham later indicated that by “foreign governments” he was referring to Saudi Arabia. (15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis.)
As recently reported by ZeroHedge, in 2013, conservative Congressman Walter Jones (R-N.C.) revived the push to declassify the 28 pages by sponsoring a House resolution because, as he put it, “the American people deserve the truth. Releasing these pages will enhance our national security, not harm it.” Jones has since become one of the most outspoken opponents of reckless U.S. intervention abroad.
Last May, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) joined the 28-page fight by introducing the Transparency for the Families of 9/11 Victims and Survivors Act, co-sponsored by Sens. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), but opposed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie who instead urged deference to Obama’s judgment on the issue.
Members of Congress can read the still-classified pages in a special secure room on Capitol Hill if they get prior permission from the House or Senate Intelligence Committee. It challenges you to rethink everything.”
Now that the heat is building for the Obama administration to declassify those mysterious 28 pages in the 9/11 report, the Saudi regime is resorting to outright threat and intimidation.

Obama bows to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, April 2009.

Obama bows to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, April 2009.

Mark Mazzetti reports for The New York Times, April 15, 2016, that Saudi Arabia told the Obama administration and members of Congress that it will sell off hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of American assets held by the Saudis if Congress passes a bill that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible in U.S. courts for any role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi foreign minister, delivered his government’s message personally last month during a trip to Washington, telling lawmakers that Saudi Arabia would sell up to $750 billion in treasury securities and other assets in the United States before they could be in danger of being frozen by American courts.
Saudi officials have long denied that the kingdom had any role in the Sept. 11 plot, and the 9/11 Commission found “no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded the organization.” But critics have noted that the commission’s narrow wording left open the possibility that less senior officials or parts of the Saudi government could have played a role. Suspicions have lingered, partly because of the conclusions of a 2002 congressional inquiry into the attacks that cited some evidence that Saudi officials living in the United States at the time had a hand in the plot. Those conclusions are contained in 28 suppressed pages of the 9/11 report.
Families of the Sept. 11 victims have used the courts to try to hold members of the Saudi royal family, Saudi banks and charities liable because of what the plaintiffs charged was Saudi financial support for terrorism. But the families’ efforts have largely been stymied, in part because of a 1976 law that gives foreign nations some immunity from lawsuits in American courts.
The bi-partisan Senate bill, which passed through the Judiciary Committee in January without dissent, would make clear that the immunity given to foreign nations under the law should not apply in cases where nations are found culpable for terrorist attacks that kill Americans on United States soil. If the bill were to pass both houses of Congress and be signed by the president, it could clear a path for the role of the Saudi government to be examined in the Sept. 11 lawsuits.
Claiming that weakening the sovereign immunity provisions would put the American government, along with its citizens and corporations, in legal risk abroad because other nations might retaliate with their own legislation, the Obama administration has lobbied Congress to block the bill’s passage, and the Saudi threats have been the subject of intense discussions in recent weeks between lawmakers and officials from the State Department and the Pentagon.
Mindy Kleinberg, whose husband died in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11 and who is part of a group of victims’ family members pushing for the bill, said, “It’s stunning to think that our government would back the Saudis over its own citizens.”
Outside economists, however, are skeptical that the Saudis will follow through on their threats, saying that such a sell-off would be difficult to execute and would end up crippling the kingdom’s economy.
The dispute comes as bipartisan criticism is growing in Congress about Washington’s alliance with Saudi Arabia, for decades a crucial American ally in the Middle East and half of a partnership that once received little scrutiny from lawmakers. But that alliance has frayed in recent years as the White House has tried to thaw ties with Iran — Saudi Arabia’s bitter enemy— in the midst of recriminations between American and Saudi officials about the role that both countries should play in the stability of the Middle East. Last week, two senators introduced a resolution that would put restrictions on U.S. arms sales to Saudi Arabia, which have expanded during the Obama administration.

Officials say Guantanamo transfers have killed Americans

Shocker, not.
you don't say
Via Fox News: Americans have been killed by prisoners released from the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a senior Defense Department official told lawmakers Wednesday, triggering sharp criticism from Republicans opposed to shuttering the facility in the wake of deadly attacks by the Islamic State group in Brussels and Paris.
Paul Lewis, the Pentagon’s special envoy for Guantanamo detention closure, declined to provide the GOP-led House Foreign Affairs Committee with details. He would not say whether the incidents occurred before or after President Barack Obama took office in January 2009.
“What I can tell you is unfortunately there have been Americans that have died because of (Guantanamo) detainees,” Lewis said during an exchange with Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif. “When anybody dies, it is a tragedy and we don’t want anybody to die because we transfer detainees,” Lewis said.
An Obama administration official said Lewis was referring to an incident that involved an Afghan prisoner released from Guantanamo while George W. Bush was president. The official was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity. During the Bush administration, 532 prisoners were released from Guantanamo, often in large groups to Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia — the two nationalities that made up the greatest number of prisoners.
The Obama administration has released 144 detainees after a screening process that involves representatives from six government agencies and departments who must make a unanimous decision to release.
Lewis testified before the committee along with Lee Wolosky, the State Department’s special envoy for Guantanamo closure. They argued the prison is a powerful propaganda tool for the Islamic State group and keeping it open damages U.S. national security.
Republicans and a few Democrats in Congress have repeatedly thwarted Obama’s effort to close the prison and blocked any attempt to move detainees to U.S. prisons in legislation the president has signed into law.
The committee’s hearing marked the first open exchange between the Obama administration and Congress over the utility and future of the prison since Obama sent his plan for shutting it down to Capitol Hill last month. The proposal was greeted with firm opposition from Republicans, who declared his proposal to deliver an unfulfilled campaign promise a non-starter.
Republicans see the prison at Guantanamo as more essential than ever. With the Islamic State group carrying out deadly assaults in Europe and expanding its base in Libya, they said, there needs to be a place to hold terrorist suspects. Republicans have refused Obama’s request that Congress change the law that prohibits moving detainees accused of violent extremist acts to U.S. soil.
The committee’s chairman, Rep. Ed Royce of California, and other GOP lawmakers have also criticized the Obama administration for moving detainees to countries that are probably unable to ensure they don’t resume the behaviors that got them locked up in the first place. “Countries like Ghana and Uruguay aren’t typical security and intelligence partners, but they are being asked to shoulder a heavy burden and responsibility,” Royce said.
There are 91 men held at Guantanamo, down from nearly 250 when Obama assumed the presidency. Those left include 36 who are cleared for release if security conditions can be met in the countries where they will settle. Seven face trial by military commission, including five charged with planning and supporting the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001. Three others have been convicted.
The Director of National Intelligence reported this month that 5 percent of Guantanamo prisoners released since January 2009, when the U.S. began using the multi-agency screening process, have re-engaged in terrorism and 8 percent are suspected of it. That compares to 21 percent confirmed and 14 percent suspected under the earlier system.

TV show 'Simpsons' predicted Trump & Hillary presidencies

There are some who maintain that our puppeteers, aka The Powers That Be (TPTB), engage in “predictive programming” of the masses. According to one definition:

Predictive programming is a subtle form of psychological conditioning provided by the media to acquaint the public with planned societal changes to be implemented by TPTB.
If and when these changes are put through, the public will already be familiarized with them and will accept them as ‘natural progressions’, as Alan Watt (*) calls it; thus lessening any possible public resistance and commotion.
Predictive programming therefore may be considered as a veiled form of preemptive mass manipulation or mind control, courtesy of our puppet masters.

If you go to this link, you’ll find some examples of predictive programming in movies.
Television especially is a medium for predictive programming, notably two adult animation shows The Simpsons and Family Guy which foreshadowed 9/11, the 2005 London bombing, the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing, actor Robin Williams’ 2014 suicide, the Ebola epidemic, Bruce Jenner going “transgender,” and the recent death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. See:

The latest discovery of “predictive programming” is an episode of “The Simpsons” that was first aired on May 9, 2011, which foreshadowed the current Democratic and Republican presidential front runners Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
The episode showed a blonde woman Lisa Simpson (Hillary is blonde) as the first woman president who succeeds a Donald Trump presidency that had plummeted the United States into debt.

Are these just coincidences or something more sinister? You decide!

Scriptures that seem eerily close to our experience

My humble insights with no pretense to sound doctrine

Scripture #1

About-Twin-Towers-collapse

“In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill.”
– Isaiah 30:25

As an American of this day, I can’t read this verse without seeing 9-11-2001.
I claim no special revelation, but did notice the promise that these horrors come as a precursor to a time of great spiritual blessing! The streams of water seem to mean the water of life in Revelation and Psalm 46. And this section of Isaiah is speaking of the period of time when the scattered Jews are finally back in their homeland. That time is right now. So it may not be too far fetched to think the verse is actually predicting what happened in NYC in 2001.

Scripture #2

ISIS-the-disease-of-humanity

Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.
– Deuteronomy 28:65-67

And this is like an encapsulation of how I personally feel when I keep the news on all day. I am filled with anxiety, searching for and not seeing good news.
It should be noted that this chapter of Deuteronomy describes the curses that will come upon a disobedient nation. Interestingly, if I focus my eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, His peace floods me, very much like the waters flowing in the Isaiah verse above.

Scripture #3

In these times of cataclysm we need to know Psalm 46,

“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her. She will not fall. He will help her at break of day.”

If you are a follower of Jesus, that verse refers to you. We, the Church, are the city of God. Later in the same psalm (psalm 46), the Lord says,

“Be still, and know the I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

Newly-declassified report shows U.S. invaded Iraq with no hard evidence of WMDs

The Iraq War was a protracted armed conflict that began with the invasion of Iraq on March 20, 2003, 1½ years after the traumatic 9/11 attacks, by a U.S.-led coalition.
The invasion began with a “shock and awe” bombing campaign. Iraqi forces were quickly overwhelmed as U.S. forces swept through the country. The invasion led to the collapse of the Ba’athist government of Saddam Hussein, who was captured in December 2003 and executed by a military court three years later.
But the war continued for much of the next decade as an insurgency emerged to oppose the occupying forces and the post-invasion Iraqi government. Worse still, Saddam’s former military officers morphed into ISIS, which became the Islamic State. (See Blowback: ISIS leaders are former officers of Saddam Hussein’s army”) Although the United States officially withdrew from Iraq in 2011, we became re-involved in 2014 as the Iraqi government proved itself unable to cope with ISIS.
Altogether, the Iraq War exacted a toll of hundreds of thousands in casualties:

  • An estimated 151,000 to 600,000 Iraqis were killed in the first 3–4 years of conflict.
  • 6,045 Americans were killed: 4,491 soldiers; 1,554 contractors. Additionally, 76,106 Americans were wounded: 32,226 soldiers; 43,880 contractors.

The Iraq War cost the U.S. government more than $845 billion — $720 million a day, if one takes into account the long-term health care for veterans, interest on debt and replacement of military hardware, according to Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph E. Stiglitz and Harvard public finance professor Linda Bilmes.
The George W. Bush administration based its rationale for war principally on the assertion that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) — yellow-cake uranium poison gas, biological weapons — and that Saddam’s government posed an immediate threat to the United States and its coalition allies. Saddam was also accused of of harboring and supporting al-Qaeda, the terrorist group identified as the instigator of 9/11.
The rationale for the Iraq War has since been discredited. But a newly-declassified report to the then-Joint Chiefs of Staff provides even more evidence that the Bush administration went to war with, at best, flimsy evidence of Iraq’s WMDs — a war in which 6,045 Americans lost their lives.
Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense 2001-2006
John Walcott, adjunct professor in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, reports for Politico, Jan. 24, 2016, that on September 9, 2002, as the Bush administration began its public-opinion campaign for an invasion of Iraq, a classified report from Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld landed on the desk of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), Air Force General Richard Myers.
The report began with these words:

“Please take a look at this material as to what we don’t know about WMD. It is big.”

The report was an inventory of what U.S. intelligence didn’t know about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. The report admitted that what the U.S. didn’t know about Iraq’s WMD program ranged from 0% to about 75%While the threat posed by a nuclear-armed Iraq was at the heart of the administration’s case for war, the JCS report conceded that:

“Our knowledge of the Iraqi (nuclear) weapons program is based largely—perhaps 90%—on analysis of imprecise intelligence.”

Myers already knew about the report because the Joint Staff’s director for intelligence had prepared it. Clearly, Rumsfeld’s urgent tone conveyed how seriously he viewed the report’s potential to undermine the Bush administration’s case for war.
But neither Rumsfeld nor Myers shared the 8-page report with key members of the administration such as then-Secretary of State Colin Powell or top officials at the CIA, according to multiple sources at the State Department, White House and CIA who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity. Instead, the report disappeared, and with it a potentially powerful counter-narrative to the administration’s argument that Saddam Hussein’s nuclear, chemical and biological weapons posed a grave threat to the U.S. and its allies, which was beginning to gain traction in major news outlets, led by the New York Times.
A month after Rumsfeld’s note to Myers, on October 7, 2002, Bush appeared at a VFW hall in Cincinnati, where he declared without reservation: Iraq “possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons.” In February 2003, Powell appeared before the UN General Assembly to make the administration’s case, with CIA Director George Tenet sitting behind him:

“My colleagues, every statement I make today is backed up by sources, solid sources. These are not assertions. What were giving you are facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence.

Below are screenshots of the 8-page report, preceded by Rumsfeld’s memo to Myers, and Director for Intelligence Major Gen. Glen Shaffer’s memo to the JCS (source: Politico). I supplied the red-color emphasis.
Iraq report Rumsfeld memo to MyersIraq report Rumsfeld memo to Myers1Iraq WMD1Iraq WMD2Iraq WMD3Iraq WMD4Iraq WMD5Iraq WMD6Iraq WMD7Iraq WMD8
The Bush administration invaded Iraq — a war that cost the lives of 6,045 Americans and over $845 billion — with the justification that Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction and was an imminent threat to U.S. security, although both the U.S. Defense Secretary and the Joint Chiefs of Staff knew we had only flimsy hard evidence — that U.S. intelligence depended “heavily on analytic assumptions and judgment rather than hard evidence” and that “We don’t know with any precision how much we don’t know.”
Let that thought sink in . . . .
Meanwhile, the Neo-con warmongers in Congress are fast-tracking a resolution to give Obama unlimited war-making powers — unrestricted in time or geography.

Video of missile (?) hitting Pentagon on 9/11

American Airlines (AA) Flight 77 was a scheduled AA domestic transcontinental passenger flight from Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia, to Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, California.
We are told that on September 11, 2001, AA Flight 77 was hijacked by five men affiliated with al-Qaeda, as part of the September 11 attacks. They deliberately crashed the plane, flying at 530 mph, into the western side of the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, near Washington, D.C., killing all 64 people on board, including the five hijackers and six crew, as well as 125 people in the building. (Wikipedia)
That’s the official story.
Below is a GIF generated from a video that reportedly was “leaked” in 2011, ten years after 9/11.
missile hit Pentagon on 9-11
The GIF and the video show what appears to be a missile, not a plane, traveling low to the ground, hitting the side of the Pentagon building.
American Airline Boeing 757 is a mid-size, narrow-body twin-engine jet airliner manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Its dimensions are:

  • Wing span: 124 ft 10 in
  • Length: 155 ft 3 in
  • Height: 44 ft 6 in

The video below, uploaded to YouTube by The Reformist Club on Sept. 2, 2011, shows the hole made by the alleged Boeing 757, which appears too small to have been made by a jet liner.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cFewUG3rSY]
It is asserted that what struck the Pentagon was a Cruise type missile, either a Tomahawk or Russian/Soviet Granit, according to former officer of the Soviet nuclear intelligence Dimitri Khalezov.
Veterans Today describes Dimitri Khalezov as:

former Soviet citizen, a former commissioned officer of the so-called ‘military unit 46179’, otherwise known as ‘the Special Control Service’ of the 12th Chief Directorate of the Defense Ministry of the USSR. The Special Control Service, also known as the Soviet atomic (later ‘nuclear’) intelligence was a secret military unit responsible for detecting of nuclear explosions (including underground nuclear tests) of various adversaries of the former USSR as well as responsible for controlling of observance of various international treaties related to nuclear testing and to peaceful nuclear explosions. After September the 11th Khalezov undertook some extensive 9/11 research and proved that the Twin Towers of World Trade Center as well as its building 7 were demolished by three underground thermo-nuclear explosions – which earned the very name ‘ground zero’ to the demolition site. Moreover, he testifies that he knew about the in-built so-called ’emergency nuclear demolitions scheme’ of the Twin Towers as long ago as back in the ‘80s – while being a serviceman in the Soviet Special Control Service.

After 9/11, Khalezov undertook extensive research on the collapse of the three World Trade Center Towers. He claims that his research demonstrates that the three towers were demolished by three underground thermo-nuclear explosions.
He also claims that he had known about the nuclear demolitions scheme for the Twin Towers in the 1980s, while a serviceman in the Soviet Special Control Service.
Does it look to you that the Pentagon was struck by a missile, not a Boeing 757?
