Another NFL team goes “woke” as Seattle Seahawks get rid of Sea Gal cheerleaders & become Seahawk Dancers (with men)

What is it with these NFL teams? Are they purposely trying to decrease their ever-decreasing attendance/TV rating numbers?

Men at football games do not want to see men cheerleaders. They want to see cute girls in cute little outfits.

And for that matter, I don’t believe many women want to see gay men prancing around on the field. They’d rather watch the big, burly football players.

Yet in an ever-increasing progressive and “woke” atmosphere, the NFL must cater to the SJWs and have all inclusive cheerleading, I mean dance teams.

The Seattle Seahawks are not the first NFL team to fall into this trap. See the following:

Male dancing cheerleaders join NFL team, the LA Rams

New Orleans Saints first male cheerleader dances his way onto the field

This is stupid, even to this never-was-a-cheerleader-girl: NFL’s Colts cheerleaders succumb to the #MeToo movement

According to the SeahawksWire, the cheerleading team formerly known as the “Sea Gals” will add men to their squad and now be known as “Seahawk Dancers.”

Their reasoning? They “continually look for ways to evolve the gameday entertainment.”

Guess the SeaHawks can kiss the formerly-known as Sea Gals annual calendar revenue bye, bye.

US women’s soccer star won’t sing national anthem again as an “F you to Trump”

Butthurt is not an attractive look…

From Daily Mail: Women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe has revealed she will probably never sing or honor the national anthem again. Rapinoe proudly sang ‘Born in the USA’ into a microphone after scoring a decisive point in a 3-0 win vs. Colombia during a FIFA World Cup qualifying match in 2011.

Over the span of eight years, however, the outspoken athlete, part of the beloved 2015 women’s World Cup-winning team, has gone from patriotic national champion to US cultural critic, becoming as famous for her activism on and off the field as she is for her electrifying play and once-plentiful charismatic displays of love for her country.

The Redding, California native and American poster girl recently became the first openly-gay woman to pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and she’s set to help the US women’s team compete for another FIFA World Cup trophy this summer with a qualifying match against Thailand scheduled for June 11.

In a lengthy interview with Yahoo Sports, Rapinoe explains why she most likely won’t be singing or honoring the Star Spangled Banner the way she has in the past, not this summer, or anytime in the foreseeable future.

‘I’ll probably never put my hand over my heart. ‘I’ll probably never sing the national anthem again,’ she definitively stated during an interview published Monday.

‘I feel like it’s kind of defiance in and of itself to just be who I am and wear the jersey, and represent it. Because I’m as talented as I am, I get to be here, you don’t get to tell me if I can be here or not.’

She continued: ‘It’s kind of a good ‘F you’ to any sort of inequality or bad sentiments that the [Trump] administration might have towards people who don’t look exactly like him. Which, God help us if we all looked like him. Scary. Really scary. Ahh, disturbing.’

Rapinoe hasn’t turned her back on her country. She seems to feel it’s many from her country who have turned their backs on folks like her and others from marginalized groups.

In 2016, she took a knee during a pre-game National Anthem performance in solidarity with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who used the gesture as a means of silent protest against racism and police brutality after a string of high-profile fatal shootings of black Americans by law enforcement officers.

‘I know what it means to look at the flag and not have it protect all of your liberties,’ Rapinoe told reporters at the time.

CBS rejected this patriotic ad for 2019 Super Bowl

For the televised broadcast of the 2019 Super Bowl last Sunday, CBS rejected a  patriotic, anti-NFL-kneeling ad, featuring soldiers, first responders, and images of military graves decorated with American flags.

The ad is narrated by Benghazi survivor U.S. Marine Mark Geist:

“Some people think you’re crazy for being loyal, defending the Constitution, standing for the flag. Then I guess I’m crazy. For those who kneel, they fail to understand that they can kneel, that they can protest, that they can despise what I stand for, even hate the truth that I speak, but they can only do that because I am crazy enough. Don’t ask if your loyalty is crazy. Ask if it’s crazy enough.”

But CBS turned down the ad. Watch it, and tell me what’s so wrong about the ad.

The ad’s sponsor is Nine Line Apparel, a veteran-owned clothing company in Savannah, Georgia, with an annual revenue of $25 million. But CBS’s excuse for turning down their 45-second ad is that CBS thinks the company doesn’t have the money to pay for the ad, which is patently absurd.

Paul Bedard reports for the Washington Examiner that Nine Line Apparel CEO Tyler Merritt says CBS’s real reason for rejecting the ad is because CBS didn’t like the ad’s content:

“CBS’s purported reason for rejecting a Super Bowl commercial that extols patriotism is totally out of bounds. Let’s call this what it is: a blatant attempt to censor a message that their politically correct executives find offensive. We urge Americans who believe it’s important to show respect for our flag and national anthem to join us in calling out this offensive bias. It’s time to give a penalty flag to CBS.”

Indeed, Nine Line Apparel is unabashedly patriotic. The company’s “About Us” page reads:

RELENTLESSLY PATRIOTIC SINCE 2012

It’s much more than getting dressed everyday, it’s about being proud of who you are, what you wear, and how you walk through life. We are relentlessly patriotic. We hold no punches, we don’t apologize for our love of country. We are America’s next greatest generation.

In the military, a Nine Line is a medevac request for a soldier that is injured on the battlefield. To soldiers, a Nine Line symbolizes patriotism, hope, and trust in one’s countrymen.

As a life-style brand, Nine Line Apparel aims to reinvigorate the sense of patriotism and national pride that is disappearing daily from our society. Where politics and dissent divide our country, we hope to inspire unity and brotherhood among all Americans as patriots under our common flag.

At its core, Nine Line is a give-back organization, forever striving to be our brother’s keeper, and encouraging others to do the same. We support a multitude of initiatives beyond raising awareness, and financially back organizations that help those in need. From first responders to military charities to disaster relief initiatives, Nine Line is committed to ongoing support of charitable initiatives. No matter the circumstances, we’ve got your six. To learn more about our Foundation, please visit www.ninelinefoundation.org.

What you can do:

  1. Make this story go viral with hashtag #CBSCensorsPatriots.
  2. Patronize Nine Line Apparel. I went on its “On Sale” reduced-price page: The prices are very reasonable. There are jackets with an American flag patch, and t-shirts with the American flag and “Don’t Tread On Me” message.

Harry Potter actor slams Tom Brady for his support of President Trump

Only in La La Land does one believe their opinion is newsworthy and important.

From Fox News: Avid football fan Daniel Radcliffe is sick of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots’ constant victories, but even more sick of Brady’s support of President Donald Trump.

On Saturday, Radcliffe, 29, told Variety he’s supporting the Los Angeles Rams in this year’s Super Bowl, explaining, “The whole world is rooting against the Patriots … sorry.”

The “Harry Potter” star admitted he doesn’t think Brady, 41, should retire, but that “he should stop winning things.”

“Take that MAGA hat out of your locker! I feel like that was the moment when as a country we were all like, ‘Come on, dude! You’re awesome…Don’t put that in here,'” Radcliffe chuckled.

“So [I’m rooting for the] Rams. I don’t know if they’re going to win but I want them to.”

In 2015, a Make America Great Again hat was spotted in Brady’s locker during a televised interview.

Brady and Trump are friends and reportedly have played golf together in the past, but don’t see eye to eye on a key issue: Kneeling during the national anthem.

After Trump called the quiet protests against police brutality against people of color unpatriotic, Brady said in an interview, “I certainly disagree with what he said. I thought it was just divisive. Like I said, I just want to support my teammates.”

This is stupid, even to this never-was-a-cheerleader-girl: NFL’s Colts cheerleaders succumb to the #MeToo movement

Colts cheerleaders before the “makeover…”

Colts cheerleaders uniforms compliant with #MeToo PC movement…

I’m gonna admit it: I love watching “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC) Making the Team.”

I love the girly-girl outfits, makeovers, dancing, competition and the drive these girls have to be the best they can be in the dance/cheer field. Many of them have outstanding careers outside of cheer and are pretty smart.

But let’s face it: They are all pretty, feminine and have to MASTER the jump split. They got skillz…

But due to the progressive culture pervasive in today’s NFL, I was not surprised to see that the SJW agenda has taken over cheer.

What DID surprise me was the absolutely HIDEOUS uniforms they’ve now prescribed to succumb to the PC movement.

From IBJ: Nearly 65 years after introducing the NFL’s first pep squad, the Indianapolis Colts are making several changes to their cheerleading program amid the backdrop of the #MeToo movement.

The team this week announced its “Next Chapter” initiative for cheerleaders, which includes a more modest uniform, a new educational and professional development program, and an increase in community-service experiences.

The program, which will debut in the 2019 season, is intended to showcase “the athleticism, talent and character of the athlete-performers,” the team said.

Kelly Tilley, director of cheerleaders for the Colts, said the point of the changes is for fans to look at professional cheerleading “through a different lens” and to drop stereotypes.

“It goes beyond [uniforms], just in terms of being able to tell the cheerleaders’ stories in a new way and breaking down some of those traditional stereotypes that have been developed,” she said.

NFL teams have come under fire in recent years for the way they treat their cheerleaders. Some of the country’s largest media outlets have called for major reforms or the outright end to NFL cheerleader squads, which are used by 26 of the league’s 32 teams.

Several teams have been sued by their cheerleaders in recent years over issues including unfair pay, mistreatment, discrimination and sexual harassment. Teams including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New York Jets, Los Angeles Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills have settled such suits, and others are still facing them. The Colts are not among those teams.

While Tilley did not directly speak to what impact the #MeToo movement—or legal follies of other NFL cheer squads—had on the Colts’ decision to make changes, she said discussions with past cheerleaders did play a role.
“We think now is a good time to look to the future and what we can do to make the cheer program the best it can be, especially for future generations of cheerleaders and fans,” Tilley said.

The Colts cheerleaders’ new uniforms will have a more conservative and athletic look, with less emphasis on pushed-up cleavage and bare midriffs than the current attire. The new ensemble, which is mostly white, has a low collar covered in translucent material, as well as a high-cut skirt and boots that rise to the mid-calf.

The introduction of the Next Chapter initiative came Sunday during the Colts’ final regular-season home game of the season, the fourth quarter of which was spent by cheerleaders performing in their professional work attire.

Al Sharpton approved: LeBron James says NFL team owners have slave mentality

Birds of a feather…

LeBron being a good progressive and keeping the hate and divide alive and well…

From Yahoo: LeBron James, who has consistently used his platform as one of the most famous men in America to discuss social issues, has said that NFL owners have a “slave mentality”.

The Los Angeles Lakers star made the comments on Friday’s broadcast of his HBO discussion show, The Shop. “In the NFL they got a bunch of old white men owning teams and they got that slave mentality,” James said. “And it’s like, ‘This is my team. You do what the f*ck I tell y’all to do. Or we get rid of y’all.’

James’s comments come after a stormy few seasons in the NFL. Two players, Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid, have filed grievances against the league and its teams’ owners alleging they colluded to keep them out of football due to their stance on social issues. Both men knelt during the national anthem to highlight racial injustice in the United States. Although Reid has now found a team, the Carolina Panthers, this week he said he had been randomly drug tested by the league six times in 11 weeks. Yahoo Sports calculated the chances of that happening were 0.17%.

The NBA, on the other hand, has been praised for being much more progressive on social issues. “The difference between the NBA and the NFL, the NBA is what we believe he [a player] can be. The potential,” James said. “In the NFL, it’s like what can you do for me this Sunday, or this Monday or this Thursday, and if you ain’t it, we moving on.”

James highlighted the work of the NBA’s commissioner, Adam Silver, in making the league a welcoming environment for players. “I’m so appreciative in our league of our commissioner,” James said. “He doesn’t mind us having … a real feeling and to be able to express that. It doesn’t even matter if Adam agrees with what we are saying, he at least wants to hear us out. As long as we are doing it in a very educational, nonviolent way, then he’s absolutely OK with it.”

James has been quick to speak up about social issues in the past. He is a long-time critic of the US president, Donald Trump. In an interview with the web series Uninterrupted in January, James said of Trump: “The number one job in America … is someone who doesn’t understand the people, and really don’t give a f*ck about the people.”

In February, James explained why he was critical of the president: “While we cannot change what comes out of that man’s mouth, we can continue to alert the people that watch us, that listen to us, that this is not the way.”

Mississippi Forest Hill High School band simulates killing cops

Thanks to millionaire quarterback Colin Kaepernick, spectator sports have degenerated from the NFL’s #TakeAKnee refusal to stand for the National Anthem, to simulating cop-killing.

That’s what a Mississippi high school band did.

Christopher Berg reports for BlueLivesMatter that the incident took place during a halftime performance for a game between Forest Hill High School and Brookhaven High School in Brookhaven, Mississippi on October 5, 2018, just a week after two white Brookhaven police officers had been killed. Dressed as doctors and nurses, Forest Hill High School band members used fake rifles to “execute” students dressed as police officers.

WLBT reports that Mississippi Department of Public Safety Commissioner Marshall Fisher released a statement citing their disappointment:

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is extremely disturbed by Forest Hill’s leadership approving and allowing their band to display a reenactment of violence against law enforcement at a high school football game in Brookhaven, MS. This is highly inappropriate considering the recent loss of two Brookhaven Police officers to senseless violence.

This only exacerbates the war against law enforcement in our nation. Mimicking acts of violence against law enforcement, or members of the public should never be condoned at a high school football game or any function whatsoever. The Governor’s School Safety Task Force is currently working to reduce school violence which is at an all-time high. I have to question whoever made this decision in regards to what message they are sending to our children.

Forest Hill High School is part of the Jackson Public Schools District. Jackson Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Errick L. Greene released a statement the next day:

On behalf of the Jackson Public School (JPS) District, I want to offer my deep and sincere apologies for the performance by the Forest Hill High School band during Friday’s football half-time show in Brookhaven. Based loosely on the movie, “John Q,” the band’s performance depicted a hostage scene that included toy guns.

JPS has a great deal of respect and appreciation for our law enforcement partners. The band’s performance does not depict the values and people in our community, and was incredibly insensitive to the students, families, law enforcement officials and the entire Brookhaven community. For this we sincerely apologize to all, and we pledge to do better in the future.

We have taken some initial actions in response to this matter, and you have my commitment that we will investigate it fully and take additional appropriate action with respect to procedures and personnel.

Jackson Mayor Chokwe Lumumba also released a statement regarding the performance:

I offer my sincerest regrets to the Brookhaven community for the insensitivity that portrayed during the Friday evening halftime show. There is an active investigation into the circumstances that led to this performance. While I do not believe that there was a malice intent on behalf of the students that participated in this halftime show, I understand that we are ultimately not defined by the things that we set out to do, but rather how we respond to the things that actually do take place. It is the responsibility of adults to offer guidance to youth. Our students should have been instructed that this was neither the time or place for that performance.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant took to Twitter to say someone should be held accountable:

This is unacceptable in a civilized society. Someone should be held accountable. https://t.co/hq3hJnj4xA — Phil Bryant (@PhilBryantMS) October 6, 2018

Brookhaven Mayor Joe Cox said Jackson Mayor Lumumba had apologized to him personally for the halftime show and said the Forest Hill band director has been suspended (“placed on administrative leave”) pending investigation.

Forest Hill High School is located at 2607 Raymond Road, Jackson, MS 39212; phone (601) 371-4313. 49% of its 1,190 students are black; 45% are white.

The school has a student:teacher ratio of 17:1, higher than the Mississippi state level of 16:1, but was placed in the bottom 50% of all schools in Mississippi for overall test scores in both math and reading proficiency for the 2015-2016 school year. According to Niche, the school has a 15% ranking in reading proficiency, and 4% in math proficiency.

The school seems to have disabled its website, which thwarted my effort to search for the names of its principal and band director.

But I found the principal’s name on Facebook:

The band is called Marching Falcons. A webpage of a message from the band director is defunct (“404 Not Found”); it’s not even archived on the Wayback Machine:

In other words, the identity of the band director of Forest Hill, a public high school, is concealed from the public. Shame on Forest Hill High School and the Jackson Public Schools District!

Suck it Hollyweird: Ratings for 2018 Emmy Awards hit all-time low

From Fox News: Hollywood may have laughed when Emmys host Michael Che said the only white people who thank Jesus are “Republicans and ex-crackheads,” but Tinseltown’s latest middle finger to Middle America fell flat in flyover country, and may have contributed to the telecast’s all-time low viewership.

Co-host Michael Che left many viewers of the 70th Annual Emmy Awards upset during the opening monologue with his fellow “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost, explaining that his mother would not be watching the show on Monday night.

“She says she doesn’t like watching white award shows because you guys don’t thank Jesus enough,” Che said. “That’s true. The only white people that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads.

The joke didn’t sit well with some viewers, who took to Twitter to complain. Not only that, the show’s ratings dropped 10 percent from last year’s already-dismal numbers, setting an all-time low, according to TheWrap.

While many viewers may have changed the channel after the opening monologue, jabs at average Americans were far from over and the Jesus gag became a running theme throughout the evening.

Conservative strategist Chris Barron told Fox News that “large swaths of the American public just want to be entertained” but instead were turned into “unwilling participants” in a political rally disguised as an awards show.

“Whether it’s the NFL or the Emmys, people desperately want a break from politics. It’s amazing to me at just how tone deaf Hollywood is,” Barron said.

“Most Republicans have stopped watching awards shows or know that even if they can stomach it, the White House and their core values will be attacked. I kept thinking last night, thank goodness for a few actors like Chris Pratt, who buck the trend and show a healthy respect and love for Christianity in acceptance speeches,” Fox Nation host Britt McHenry said. “Reverence for God is something to cherish and uphold, not ridicule.”

Jokes about religious Republicans weren’t the only jabs at Middle America.

Prior to the official event, actress Regina King spoke with E! about a cryptic Instagram post in which she asked to “stop making stupid people famous,” which many have interpreted as a dig at President Trump. The Red Carpet also featured actress Jennifer Lewis wearing a Nike sweatshirt “to applaud them for supporting Colin Kaepernick,” who has polarized the nation by starting the trend of kneeling during the national anthem prior to NFL games.

Jost discussed a handful of shows that were canceled and picked up by other networks before joking that Roseanne Barr’s show was “picked up by white nationalists.” He also implied that some Americans don’t think Nazis are bad and fantasized about President Obama upsetting Trump with a dig at the former reality TV star who is famously obsessed with ratings.

“The Obamas now even have their own production deal at Netflix,” Jost said. “My dream is that the only thing they produce is their own version of ‘The Apprentice.’ And it gets way higher ratings.”

Meanwhile, the Emmys decided to honor late Senator John McCain during its in memoriam. Nobody would complain about an American hero being remembered in front of a national audience, but Media Research Center contributing writer Karen Townsend questioned the motive behind the decision.

One can’t help but wonder if this was done as a subtle dig at President Trump. After all, it was only 10 years ago that all of Hollywood hated McCain when he ran for president against their beloved Obama,” she wrote.

Later in the show, award winner Ryan Murphy called America a “country that lets hatred grow unfettered and unchecked.” Anti-Trump comedian Samantha Bee – best known for vile comments about first daughter Ivanka Trump – joked that the news should “recast the lead.”
