Australian Air Force being taught to consider “gendered social roles” during bombing operations

From Daily Mail: Royal Australian Air Force pilots are taught to think of women and take a ‘gender perspective’ during bombing operations.

The ‘Gender in Air Operations’ doctrine informs pilots what they should do before dropping bombs in war zones to ensure women aren’t placed in danger.

It gives the example of how destroying a bridge used by enemy troops could force local women to walk further to fetch water or wood.

‘Although destroying this target may provide a military advantage against the enemy, the second order effect may mean that, due to the gendered social roles, women need to travel further afield, on unfamiliar and less secure, well-known or well-lit routes to gather water and firewood,’ the doctrine said.

Australian Peacekeeper and Peacemaker Veterans Association NSW/ACT president Bruce Relph said the program will also protect pilots.

This is going to make the pilot hesitate, afraid he might be charged with war crimes, and that puts his life in danger because the enemy will not be hesitating to shoot him down,’ he told The Daily Telegraph.

However former army officer Bernard Gaynor said: ‘We need our Defence Force to train combat warriors, not social justice warriors. The sooner Defence returns to its core business the better.’

The compassionate left: Seattle residents want to stop nearby redevelopment into homeless supportive services for adults, veterans

Seattle city residents keep electing demorats who do absolutely nothing – except raise taxes – to solve their homeless crisis. Instead of getting the mentally ill and drug addicted into treatment, Seattle bureaucrats merely shuffle them around and assign caseworkers to do who-knows-what (besides spending taxpayer dollars).

Sorry if I’ve got no sympathy left for these residents who are now upset with their local politicians for wanting to put low income housing in their backyard. Elections have consequences.

This will come as no surprise: NIMBY folk in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood are trying to stop redevelopment of a decommissioned Army base at Discovery Park. The city wants to turn the empty buildings into 238 units of affordable housing.

About Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood:

• The median home price is 140% higher than the Seattle average
• The median sales price of a home in Magnolia is $865,500
• The median home income is $108,612 – 73% higher than Seattle

According to MyNorthwest.com, a citizen group is fighting back against the City of Seattle’s plans to turn Fort Lawton, the decommissioned Army base at the main entrance to Magnolia’s Discovery Park, into 238 units of affordable housing.

Aerial view of Fort Lawton at Discovery Park

Excerpts from their story:

Spearheading the Discovery Park + 29 movement to save Fort Lawton is Seattle City Council District 7 candidate Elizabeth Campbell, who said that the city’s redevelopment plan will destroy a “jewel in the city park system” at a time when Seattle is already bursting at the seams with population growth.

For one, she pointed out to the Dori Monson Show, with the popularity of Discovery Park as an urban oasis, the Fort Lawton area is currently used for badly-needed overflow parking on busy days. “The park is already almost at capacity on weekends,” she said. “An immense number of people come through there … the park needs that additional land to expand and maintain its integrity as a natural space.”

According to Campbell, the city is refusing to think long-term by ignoring its own parks plans, such as the 2017 Parks and Open Space Plan and Comprehensive Plan.

The city’s plan for Fort Lawton includes three categories of housing — flats and houses for renter households at 60 percent of the area median income, townhouses for owner households at 80 percent AMI, and “homeless supportive housing for older adults, including veterans.”

It goes on to describe that the supportive housing would include onsite case managers, and that addiction and mental health service providers could possibly be brought onsite as well.

Campbell said, however, that the wording is disingenuous, noting that it would be not only the residents of the supportive housing, but also the residents of the units of affordable housing, who would “have issues.”

It avoids the problem of describing really who is going to be there … the plan is for the city to monitor and have programming in place 24/7 for every level of resident that they have there,” she said. “So, I mean, it’s a highly problematic type of compound that they’re establishing.”

Read their whole story here.

U.S. indicts Wikileaks founder Julian Assange for conspiring to hack into Pentagon computers

Yesterday, April 11, 2019, after providing him political asylum in its embassy in London for the past 7 years, the government of Ecuador surrendered WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, 47, to the UK police.

Ecuador’s President Lenin Moreno said he had run of patience with Assange and withdrew his asylum status, describing him as an “inherited” problem from Moreno’s predecessor, former President Rafael Correa. Moreno said Assange had been “discourteous and aggressive” while inside the embassy and confronting and mistreating guards.

In a press conference, Ecuador’s Interior Minister Maria Paula Romo said Correa’s government “tolerated things like Assange putting feces on the embassy walls and other behaviors far from the minimum respect that a guest can have.” (CNN)

In the past, others had also commented on Assange’s hygiene:

  • Last January, Assange’s former aide Daniel Domscheit-Berg, author of Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World’s Most Dangerous Website (2011), told International Business Times: “Julian ate everything with his hands and he always wiped his fingers on his pants. I have never seen pants as greasy as his in my whole life.”
  • In 2011, New York Times former executive editor Bill Keller met Assange and described him as a “bag lady walking in off the street. He smelled as if he hadn’t bathed for days. He was alert but disheveled, like a bag lady walking in off the street, wearing a dingy, light-colored sport coat and cargo pants, dirty white shirt, beat-up sneakers and filthy white socks that collapsed around his ankles.”

From these descriptions of Assange’s lack of hygiene, it is difficult for me to imagine Hollyweird sex-pot Pamela Anderson, 51, allegedly having an affair with Assange in the embassy.

Anderson had a meltdown on Twitter over Assange’s arrest and expected extradition to the U.S. Here’s one of her tweets:

Assange was arraigned in Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday. In a quick verdict, Judge Michael Snow found Assange guilty of skipping bail in 2012 by entering the embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden in a rape investigation. Assange faces up to 12 months behind bars for the conviction in the UK. His defense argued that he couldn’t expect a fair trial in Britain because the UK’s sole purpose was to “secure his delivery” to the US. (New York Post)

Wanted in the U.S. for conspiring with “transgender” Chelsea (Bradley) Manning to steal military secrets by hacking into U.S. government computers, Assange will appear in a US court via video link on May 2.

Below is the U.S. Department of Justice’s April 11, 2019 press release:

Julian P. Assange, 47, the founder of WikiLeaks, was arrested today in the United Kingdom pursuant to the U.S./UK Extradition Treaty, in connection with a federal charge of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion for agreeing to break a password to a classified U.S. government computer.

According to court documents unsealed today, the charge relates to Assange’s alleged role in one of the largest compromises of classified information in the history of the United States.

The indictment alleges that in March 2010, Assange engaged in a conspiracy with Chelsea Manning, a former intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, to assist Manning in cracking a password stored on U.S. Department of Defense computers connected to the Secret Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNet), a U.S. government network used for classified documents and communications. Manning, who had access to the computers in connection with her duties as an intelligence analyst, was using the computers to download classified records to transmit to WikiLeaks. Cracking the password would have allowed Manning to log on to the computers under a username that did not belong to her. Such a deceptive measure would have made it more difficult for investigators to determine the source of the illegal disclosures.

During the conspiracy, Manning and Assange engaged in real-time discussions regarding Manning’s transmission of classified records to Assange. The discussions also reflect Assange actively encouraging Manning to provide more information. During an exchange, Manning told Assange that “after this upload, that’s all I really have got left.” To which Assange replied, “curious eyes never run dry in my experience.”

Assange is charged with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion and is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison if convicted. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors….

The extradition will be handled by the Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs.

An indictment contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Every defendant is presumed to be innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.

WikiLeaks had played an invaluable role in the 2016 presidential elections by publishing emails of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) — probably obtained by then-DNC staffer Seth Rich whose suspicious death cries out for justice — Hillary Clinton, and her presidential campaign chairman John Podesta.

WikiLeaks‘ position has always been that, in the interest of freedom of information, it will publish documents that are sent to them. That is very different than what Assange is accused of by the DOJ, which is that Assange had actively conspired with Manning to hack into Pentagon computers to obtain classified information.

NY demorats gave $27 million to children of illegal aliens who receive preferen$e over children of US military

New York Assemblywoman Deborah Glick, D-New York, speaks about START-UP NY legislation during a New York Assembly session at the Capitol in Albany, N.Y., on Friday, June 21, 2013. The legislative session is expected to end Friday. (AP Photo/Tim Roske)

That’s not a typo in my headline. NY demorats give $27 million taxpayer dollars to children of illegal aliens. Children of US military? They get $2.7 million allocated to their education.

As reported by the NY Post: Democrats set aside $27 million in tuition assistance for the children of undocumented immigrants in the new state budget — but wouldn’t add hundreds of thousands of dollars to expand a similar program for kids of deceased and disabled veterans.

A bill that has twice passed the state Senate — but never made it through the Assembly — would have added funding to a program that provides free tuition, room and board at any SUNY or CUNY college to children, spouses and financial dependents of “fallen soldiers” who died, became severely disabled or were classified as missing in action while serving in the military after 1990.

Such a program already exists and serves 145 students at a cost of $2.7 million — but only for relatives and dependents of vets who served in combat zones. The Assembly Higher Education Committee voted 15-11 against allocating more funds to the program as part of the state budget.

Assemblywoman Deborah Glick (D-Manhattan), who chairs the committee, said budget constraints weighed against the program expansion, which she estimated would have cost several hundred thousand dollars.

“We will make every effort to ensure going forward, we have some additional resources allocated to the program so that as an entitlement, it is not falling short of the needs of our military families,” she said.

But State Sen. Robert Ortt (R-Niagara), a sponsor of the measure, said the Assembly’s failure to act sends a distressing signal to military families.

“Assemblywoman Glick should be ashamed of herself,” said Ortt. “We set aside $27 million dollars for college for people that are here illegally… Apparently $2.7 million is all that the families of soldiers who are killed, get. If you’re a child of a fallen solider, you do not rank as high and you know that by the money.”

Glick called the criticism a “cheap shot” on Twitter. “The bill-though laudable-had a budgetary impact which the committee routinely doesn’t consider post-budget. We did promise to see funding in the future [that] considers potential additional eligible individuals. Cheap shot,” she wrote.

Assemblywoman Judy Griffin (D-L.I), one of four Assembly Democrats who voted in favor of the bill, said it should be a priority next year.

“I voted for the bill because I think it’s important, especially after that FDNY firefighter was killed in Afghanistan, so heartbreaking. But I voted yes knowing the bill would be held because it was a tough budget year and as the chairwoman said, there just wasn’t the funding in the budget. But now we know for next year, [so] we will make it a priority and hopefully pass it.”

Pelosi reveals liberal leftist agenda in Equality Act remarks

At the March 13 Democrat press conference that introduced H.R. 5 – Equality Act, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed a litany of  liberal, leftist goals she hoped Democrats would achieve. Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), gave the initial remarks. Pelosi  gave the hallmark Democrat speech.

The following text is the official transcript of Pelosi’s remarks. The bold face highlighted text marks are mine.

# # #

Pelosi Remarks at Press Event Introducing H.R. 5, The Equality Act

March 13, 2019

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined Democratic leaders of the House and Senate for a press event introducing H.R. 5, the Equality Act, which amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to explicitly prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in education, employment, housing, credit, federal jury service, public accommodations and the use of federal funds. Below are the Speaker’s remarks

Speaker Pelosi. Senator Merkley! Thank you, Senator Merkley, I accept your kind words on behalf of our House Democrats who, overwhelmingly, support this legislation and I thank David Cicilline and the Members of the Task Force for their work to bring us to this day.

I remember full-well the day you described in the LBJ Room when we stood there, you taking the lead in the Senate, David in the House, and right between the two of you, John Lewis, John Lewis giving his imprimatur to the path that we were going down.

[Applause]

So, I thank you. It is a pleasure to welcome back Senator Schumer when he gets here, a former Member, and Senator Baldwin, a former Member of whom we are very proud, and thank you for your leadership, as well as Senator Booker, not of this House but certainly of this Congress who we are very proud of as well. I am proud to join all of you.

As I was listening to the comments that were being made, Congressman Cicilline – I think I decided to call you Chairman, you call everyone Chairman in the Majority – and Senator Merkley, I was thinking back on the path to this day.

When we first got the Majority, we said we had four goals we wanted to achieve. One was to pass the hate crimes legislation. Senator Baldwin was very much a part of that in the House, and Senator Schumer of course in the Senate, and then Senator Baldwin in both houses.

The next was supposed to be ENDA, end discrimination in the workplace, but we all came to the conclusion, led by the outside groups, that we should do the repeal of ‘Don’t Act Don’t Tell’ next. So, that rose to number two on the agenda, not in terms of importance but in terms of chronology and in getting the votes. So then, with the help of so many of you, we repealed ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’

[Applause]

Next was marriage equality, which the courts happily recognized – marriage equality. So, we had one left, ENDA. But everybody just said, why should we be ending discrimination in the workplace? What about in every place – in housing, in every place?’

So, that’s when Mr. Cicilline stepped forward and said, ‘We’ll open the Civil Rights Act.’ Not a small thing to do, and that’s why Mr. Lewis and the Congressional Black Caucus and all of our Members were so important in getting behind that fully so here we are today.

Here we are today. We are proud to stand with Members from both sides of the Capitol to take a momentous step towards full equality for LGBTQ Americans and for our country. We take great pride in serving with a record-breaking ten LGBTQ Members in the Congress. We are happy about that.

[Applause]

Let us once again salute David Cicilline, a champion for equality. Thank you, Senator Merkley, for your tireless leadership in the Senate.

Our inside maneuvering, though, is only possible because of the success of the outside mobilization, so I want to join David Cicilline and Senator Merkley in acknowledging the work of our outside friends who made this possible.

[Applause]

Advocates and allies have always made the difference: in passing fully-inclusive hate crime legislation, repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Act, defeating the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act – remember that horrible thing? And more. Forget about it.

Again, your mobilizing and organizing will make the difference, once again, so I thank all of you for that. Let me just say on that score, that many of you have reported to us that many in corporate America and in the business community are behind the Equality Act, and I think that is going to be very important.

[Applause]

Our Founders, in their wisdom, wrote in our beautiful preamble to the Constitution ‘the blessings of liberty.’ They talked about the blessings of liberty which were to be the birthright of all Americans. That’s why I am especially upset that, last night, we were all sickened and saddened to see the President revive his hateful transgender service ban. No one with the strength and bravery to serve in the military should be turned away – turned away – so sad.

I had some trans in uniform folks here for the State of the Union Address, and they were so saddened because they have a high percentage of participation in our military, and to have that not get its full respect and, in fact, lessened by the President’s actions – so, we have important work to do in fighting to defeat this disgusting ban and we will succeed.

[Applause]

While the President betrays our values with his ban, the Congress is bringing our nation closer to equal liberty and justice for all with the Equality Act. Sexual orientation and gender identity deserve full civil rights protections – in the workplace and in every place, education, housing, credit, jury service – you want jury service? In public accommodations. That is why we are proud to stand with Members of the Congressional Black Caucus, many of whom are here with us, Bobby Scott, Sheila Jackson Lee. You will be hearing from Bobby Scott.

We are proud, as David said, that this bill has nearly 240 bipartisan co-sponsors in the House. We look forward to a swift, strong and successful vote on this bill. And now, it would have been my pleasure – did he come? Okay, Chuck is on the way.

[Laughter]

Is that okay? He will be here shortly. I am pleased to welcome back to the House side, a place where we took great pride, where she was first lesbian to be elected to the Congress of the United States. How proud we are of Tammy Baldwin.

Texas mayor is a homosexual transvestite who wears 4″ high heels

This is not a joke.

Del Rio is a small (20.2 sq. miles) border town of 40,549 in southern Texas, home to the Laughlin Air Force Base, the busiest U.S. Air Force pilot-training complex in the world.

In May 2018, Bruno “Ralphy” Lozano, an openly “gay” U.S. Air Force veteran, was elected mayor of Del Rio in a landslide, with 62% of the vote.

Small city elections in Texas are nonpartisan. Lozano said: “I don’t even think people during the primary – Democrats or Republicans — even knew who I was until I won.”

Lozano is a homosexual man who wore a tutu and 4″ high heels in Del Rio’s Veterans Day parade the year before he was elected mayor.

Prompted by the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) policy, Lozano joined the Air Force in 2004 on a 15-month special needs contract — whatever that means.

Kunal Dey reports for Meaww:

While the DADT policy was the sole reason why Lozano was able to join the forces, it is also the reason why he decided to step down. He recounts his time in uniform: “It’s an awkward position to be in when you’re in security forces, you’re abiding by the policy, but others are not.”

There was once a time when a friend of his brought his boyfriend onto the base. The friend, who was highly discreet when in uniform, was busted, and it was Lozano who had to give him the bad news. Immediately after, he said to himself, “I just can’t do this,” and put in his papers.

Lozano says politics is addictive: “Realizing that you’re the guy who has the potential to make or break the city, and then continue moving forward. If I make it, great and then I can do the district. I can go to the Senate. From there, who knows?

Does that mean we should brace ourselves for a transvestite U.S. senator or even president?

Come to think of it, we’d already had a transvestite masquerading as First Lady. Isn’t America great?

A real conspiracy: Churchchill & Stalin made secret pact to give Eastern Europe to Soviet Union

This post is for all who deride “conspiracy theorists” as tinfoil-hat-wearing crazies, at best, and at worst, “agents of Satan,” which a former friend, R., accused me of when I sent him my January 8, 2019 post, “More evidence that Sandy Hook Elementary School had moved to Monroe, CT before the shooting massacre,” with documentary evidence from Wolfgang Halbig showing Sandy Hook Elementary School had moved to Chalk Hill Middle School in nearby Monroe, Connecticut, months before the December 14, 2012 mass shooting.

Instead of disputing my post with evidence or reasoning, R. called me an agent of Satan for trafficking in conspiracy theories, which he dismisses because he doesn’t believe in conspiracies and because so many conspiracy theories implicate Jews.

Churchill & Stalin share a private joke

Izzy Lyons reports for The Telegraph, April 2, 2019, that in October 1944 during a late night, whiskey-fuelled meeting in the Kremlin, Winston Churchill and Josef Stalin, the respective leaders of Great Britain and the Soviet Union, made “a nominal agreement” on how they would carve up (“spheres of influence”) Eastern Europe after Hitler was eventually defeated and the Second World War ended.

Prime Minister Churchill jotted down on a slip of paper that he referred to in his memoirs as the “naughty document,” his proposals as to how various East European countries would be divided among the Allies, down to percentages of influence:

  • Roumania would be apportioned 90% to Russia, 10% to the others.
  • Greece: 90% to Great Britain; 10% to Russia.
  • Yugoslavia and Hungary would be divided 50/50?
  • Bulgaria: 75% to Russia and 25% to the West

Stalin appears to have approved Churchill’s suggestions by scrawling a big blue tick across the top of the “naughty document”.

Churchill-Stalin secret pact

Beginning April 5, 2019, that “naughty document” is now on public display for the first time at the British National Archives’ Protect and Survive: Britain’s Cold War Revealed exhibition.

Mark Dunton, chief curator of the exhibition, said Churchill called the paper his “naughty document, not for public eyes” because he and civil servants were aware of how it could come across as “callous”. Dunton said:

“This was the result of late night discussions between Churchill and Stalin, they both had a fair bit of whiskey. They were trying to make a nominal agreement about the spheres of influence after the war. I think it’s important that this document is going on display because there’s so much significance in that little square of paper. It’s potentially incredibly significant – the fate of millions being decided with the stroke of a pen as a result of a casual meeting. An official later said that the figures could have looked very cruel and callous if they were seen by the public. I think Churchill was very aware of that. It obviously didn’t quite pan out like this, but it is nonetheless a powerful document and an amazing piece of history.”

World War II Today has Churchill’s account of his secret pact with Stalin:

At ten o’clock that night we held our first important meeting in the Kremlin. …

The moment was apt for business, so I said, “Let us settle about our affairs in the Balkans. Your armies are in Roumania and Bulgaria. We have interests, missions, and agents there. Don’t let us get at cross—purposes in small ways. So far as Britain and Russia are concerned, how would it do for you to have ninety per cent. predominance in Roumania, for us to have ninety per cent. of the say in Greece, and go fifty—fifty about Yugoslavia?”

While this was being translated I wrote out [the percentages] on a half—sheet of paper….

I pushed this across to Stalin, who had by then heard the translation. There was a slight pause. Then he took his blue pencil and made a large tick upon it, and passed it back to us. It was all settled in no more time than it takes to set down.

Of course we had long and anxiously considered our point, and were only dealing with immediate war-time arrangements. All larger questions were reserved on both sides for what we then hoped would be a peace table when the war was won.

After this there was a long silence. The pencilled paper lay in the centre of the table. At length I said, “Might it not be thought rather cynical if it seemed we had disposed of these issues, so fateful to millions of people, in such an offhand manner? Let us burn the paper.” “No, you keep it,” said Stalin.

These percentages which I have put down are no more than a method by which in our thoughts we can see how near we are together, and then decide upon the necessary steps to bring us into full agreement.

As I said, they would be considered crude, and even callous, if they were exposed to the scrutiny of the Foreign Offices and diplomats all over the world. Therefore they could not be the basis of any public document, certainly not at the present time.

They might however be a good guide for the conduct of our affairs. If we manage these affairs well we shall perhaps prevent several civil wars and much bloodshed and strife in the small countries concerned. Our broad principle should be to let every country have the form of government which its people desire.

We certainly do not wish to force on any Balkan State monarchic or republican institutions. We have however established certain relations of faithfulness with the Kings of Greece and Yugoslavia. They have sought our shelter from the Nazi foe, and we think that when normal tranquillity is re-established and the enemy has been driven out the peoples of these countries should have a free and fair chance of choosing.

It might even be that Commissioners of the three Great Powers should be stationed there at the time of the elections so as to see that the people have a genuine free choice. There are good precedents for this.

The New Observer noted that:

As events transpired, the Soviet Union seized even more territory than this, taking 10 percent of all the countries listed (except for Greece, which remained free of Soviet occupation) and included Poland, Czechoslovakia, eastern Germany, and the three Baltic states.

Millions of people were displaced, killed and tortured under the Soviet rule during the next four and half decades in Eastern Europe. At least three major uprisings against communist rule followed: In 1953 in East Germany, in 1956 in Hungary, and in 1968 in Czechoslovakia. All three were suppressed with force by the Soviet army.

Project meant to honor fallen soldiers earns 13-year-old student 3 days of suspension

Photo from Action News video

From Yahoo: A 13-year-old student’s school project earned him a grade of 82 percent — and a three-day suspension.

Tyler Carlin of Celina, Ohio, knew right away that he wanted to honor fallen soldiers when he was assigned a project at school, and he quickly set out to build a battle cross. A fallen soldier battle cross is made of a service member’s rifle, their boots, and typically their helmet and dog tags, and has been practiced since before the Civil War.

“I got the idea from my dad’s friend, [who] is like a grandpa to me,” Tyler told WLFI.com. “He always tells me about his war stories and what that means to him.”

While Tyler was not allowed to use an Airsoft gun as a stand-in, he did get permission to use a Nerf gun. He completed his battle cross with a plastic helmet and his sister’s old boots. However, it wasn’t long after he entered the school that he was sent to the administrator’s office. Before he returned to class, he was informed he could be facing suspension.

After the incident, the Carlins decided to hire an attorney.

“Initially, they said it was because he brought a look-alike weapon to school and caused a disturbance,” Travis Faber, the family’s attorney, told the news outlet. “After his parents took issue with the suspension, they’re now saying he was suspended for insubordination.”

Carl Huber, Celina city schools’ board of education president, said in a statement: “The Celina City School Board has requested a ‘FERPA Release Form’ be signed through the family’s attorney to allow us to make a truthful and accurate statement about the situation. Until the school has received that release, the Board and its agents will not be making any statement that violates the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act or a student’s general right to privacy.” Huber did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment.

“The Rock” faces backlash after having Army tank named after him

Photo from Instagram

Some people go out of their way to find butt hurt.

From Yahoo: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s popularity has landed him a new recognition that he’s pretty pumped about. Many of his fans, however, are upset.

Over the weekend the actor shared the news that a tank in the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss has been named after him. According to the local El Paso Times, the name was selected by soldiers for the Blackhawk Squadron, who last year named another tank “Dropped as a Baby.”

News of the new tank’s moniker got back to Johnson, who shared his “salute of respect and gratitude” over the honor.

The proud and “grateful to the bone” star had nothing but good things to say about the tank, which he called “heavy-duty, bad-a**, sexy AF and built to take care of business.”

And while plenty of his followers were equally impressed, some didn’t think it was an honor worth celebrating.

“Having a death machine named after [you] seems cool until it’s used against beings that don’t truly deserve it,” read one comment. “I think they should name a few nukes after you and really get you excited. Maybe they will make a new gun modeled and named after you that can one day be used against innocents. Or maybe just the bullets. Gosh, so many death machines out there, you must be stoked.

“Wow … getting your name on a kill machine,” another person wrote.

“Those poor people in some random oil-rich country ain’t gonna know what’s hit ’em,” added a commenter. “You’re obviously not stupid to know what you are representing or what this machine would do and to who — unfollow!” a disappointed follower chastised the star.

“How are you OK with people getting killed with your name?” a critic asked, while another wrote, “Not sure having a destructive weapon named after you is such a great honor.”

“You were one of my favorite actors,” a fan added. “So disappointed now seeing this. We keep making [these] machines to kill people and you are proud one of them has your name … wow.

Some commenters also found the post to be in bad taste following Friday’s terrorist attack at two New Zealand mosques (which has WHAT exactly to do with an Army tank?), in which 49 people were killed.

Johnson hasn’t responded to the backlash. In the meantime, the 1st Armored Division has issued an invite for him to visit Texas and personally ride in his namesake tank.

———————————

I’m sure Johnson isn’t losing sleep over this “backlash.”

To those spending their time admonishing Johnson, I offer this salute to their efforts into shaming him:
