Known by the company you keep: Demorat Keith Ellison dined with Louis Farrakhan, Iranian president

ellison obama and farrakhan

From Fox News: Democratic National Committee Deputy Chair Keith Ellison attended a private dinner hosted by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in 2013, along with the head of the black nationalist group Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan.

First reported by The Wall Street Journal, Ellison, the Democratic congressman from Minnesota, also visited with Farrakhan in 2015.

Ellison attended the 2013 dinner with two other members of the Congressional Black Caucus—Reps. Andre Carson, D-Ind., and Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y. Rouhani invited Muslim leaders from around the U.S. to dinner after addressing the United Nations General Assembly.

The Nation of Islam website confirmed the attendance of “the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan” to the dinner on Sept. 23, 2013 across the street from the U.N. headquarters in New York City. FinalCall.com, the Nation of Islam’s publication, confirmed Ellison’s attendance with an article, and photos of Ellison and Farrakhan at the tables.

“After the guests were hosted at a dinner, the Iranian president entered and engaged in warm discussion with guests, including Democratic congressmen Greg Meeks of New York, Keith Ellison of Minnesota, who is a Muslim,” Final Call wrote on Oct. 2, 2013.

Iran has been listed by the U.S. government as a “state sponsor of terrorism” since 1984.

But the dinner was not the first time Ellison was associated with Farrakhan. Ellison attended Farrakhan’s Million Man March in 1995, and even publicly defended Farrakhan – who has repeatedly made anti-semitic remarks, and has called Jews “satanic” – according to a report by the Daily Caller.

Ellison has attempted to distance himself from Farrakhan, especially during his run for DNC chair in 2016, writing an op-ed for The Washington Post, painting his relationship with Farrakhan as limited to the 1995 march.

But Farrakhan slammed Ellison, posting a video to Facebook saying that Ellison and Carson visited him in 2015.

Neither the DNC nor Ellison’s office responded to Fox News’ request for comment.

Former White House press secretary, now Fox News contributor Ari Fleischer slammed the media for not covering the latest Ellison-Farrakhan development. “Once again, no feeding frenzy by the media. Don’t let anyone tell you the press is neutral. They’re not. Their silence is deafening. Ellison Attended Private Dinner With Iranian President and Louis Farrakhan in 2013 via @freebeacon,” Fleischer tweeted Monday.

The Congressional Black Caucus also has been tied to Farrakhan in recent months – especially with the surfacing of a photo taken in 2005, with then-Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. smiling alongside him. A Final Call photographer, according to the Daily Caller, said he kept the photo hidden for 13 years at the request of the CBC in order to protect Obama’s political career.

Just last week, Democratic Rep. Danny Davis of Illinois defended Farrakhan as an “outstanding human being.”

Farrakhan’s past extreme comments include praise for Adolf Hitler as a “very great man,” blaming Jews for the 9/11 attacks, and saying white people “deserve to die.”

“I don’t regard Louis Farrakhan as an aberration or anything, I regard him as an outstanding human being who commands a following of individuals who are learned and articulate and he plays a big role in the lives of thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of people,” Davis told the Daily Caller last week, and noted that “it wouldn’t be anything out of the ordinary” for him to meet with Farrakhan.

Hey ladies! Macy’s now selling hijabs!

macy hijab

Hard pass on that which women in Iran are fighting to have the right not to wear.

From InStyle: Macy’s is taking an inclusive step in the right direction with the launch of its latest line, Verona Collection.

Set to drop on Feb. 15, the modest brand is unique because it includes easy-to-wear items like tops, pants, cardigans, and dresses that are aimed at both Muslim and non-Muslim women. The collection comes from Lisa Vogl, a designer and 2017 graduate of The Workshop at Macy’s, which serves as an incubator for minority- and women-owned businesses.

The Verona Collection lookbook highlights multiple ways of wearing the pieces with accessories like sunglasses and various hand-dyed hijabs. Prices range from $13 to $85. In a statement, Vogl explained why finding space at Macy’s is so important to her. “Verona Collection is more than a clothing brand. It’s a platform for a community of women to express their personal identity and embrace fashion that makes them feel confident on the inside and outside,” she said.

While Macy’s and Vogl didn’t specifically tout the collection as targeted toward Muslim women, the line’s wraps can be worn as hijabs or similar headscarves. The term “hijab” itself loosely refers to the veil often worn by Muslim women, which comes in various in sizes, colors, and shapes. (There are many other forms of the veil, such as the burqa, which covers the entire face with a mesh layer over the eyes.)

“Through The Workshop at Macy’s, we want to nurture and support minority- and women-owned businesses to build their capabilities and become the next generation of retail partners,” Shawn Outler, Macy’s executive vice president of Licensed Businesses, Food Services, and Multicultural Initiatives, said in a statement.

The move is a major one for the major department store, especially considering modest options for Muslim women aren’t plentiful. Vogl’s online store currently ships to the U.S. and U.K., and includes beauty products like nail polish and hair mist, not to mention quick tutorials that show women how to style and accentuate their hijabs.

Muslim clerics alarmed over ‘exponential’ increase of Christian converts in Iran

Something extraordinary and wondrous is happening in Iran.

It is the Light of Christ.

Mohabat News, the Iranian Christian News Agency, reports on August 11, 2017, that “Christianity has been growing at an exponential rate in the last couple of decades in Iran, causing the Islamic government a great deal of concern.”

Senior Islamic officials, such as Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, one of the most senior Islamic Shi’ite clerics, repeatedly have expressed their concern over the spread of Christianity especially among young Iranians, including the son of an Islamic cleric. Other officials are:

  • Ayatollah Alavi Boroujerdi, a “high profile Islamic seminary official,” recently bemoaned that “accurate reports indicate that the youth are becoming Christians in Qom and attending house churches”.
  • Ayatollah Wahid Khorasani said he had received reports about the exponential increase in popularity of Christianity amongst the youth in the Islamic city of Qom.
  • Another Ayatollah, based in Tabriz, said he had received reports that at one time, 600 residents of one of the cities in Khorasan province had converted to Christianity.

The “high rate” of conversion of Iranian youth to Christianity is in spite of the government’s two fold plan to stop the spread of Christianity:

(1) Propaganda and indoctrination:

The first front is the allocation of millions of dollars for Islamic propaganda across the country and to support Islamic organizations that promote Islam among the youth within and without Iran’s borders, especially in cities such as Mashhad and Qom. Last year, after Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi expressed his deepest concern over the popularity of Christianity in the suburbs of Mashhad, the city’s religious and political officials immediately sent a vast number of Islamic teachers and preachers to Mashhad’s suburbs to turn the youth away from Christianity.

(2) Suppression:

The second front is a crackdown campaign on newly converted Christians in order to plant fear in those who are interested in learning more about Christianity and possibly becoming Christians themselves. Young people who resist indoctrination and became Christian converts are arrested and harassed by the government’s law enforcement and intelligence ministry, and subjected to long term prison sentences and heavy bails for their temporary release. Churches, including house churches are disbanded. As examples, the government closed down the Central Assemblies of God (AOG) church and Janat Abad church in Tehran, and the AOG church in Ahwaz. Publication of anything related to Christianity or any material referring to Christianity is  restricted, and books about Christianity already in the market are confiscated.

But the government has failed on both fronts — a failure that is obvious as Iranian Islamic authorities continue to express their concern over the rapid growth of Christianity in the country.

Another indicator of the failure of the government’s anti-Christian campaign is the “significant” increase in the number of house churches in Mashbad. Mashbad is the Islamic capital of not just Iran, but the Shi’ite Muslim world. Other Iranian cities with “a record number” of house churches are Tehran and Karaj.

One of Tehran’s imams said in an interview, “today Christians present their gospel to our youth in the most appealing way. They gather in many neighbourhoods across the city, including Bani Hashem neighbourhood (in Tehran) where tens of homes have been turned into house churches which evangelize their neighbours”.

Pray for the Christian converts of Iran!

Threat to free speech: Unconstitutional S720/HR1697 will make it a felony to support anti-Israel boycott

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution, adopted in 1791, states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The criminalization of political speech and activism against Israel has become one of the gravest threats to free speech in the West:

  • In France, activists have been arrested and prosecuted for wearing T-shirts advocating a boycott of Israel.
  • The U.K. has also enacted a series of measures designed to outlaw such activism.
  • In the U.S., state governors have implemented regulations barring businesses from participating in any boycotts of Israeli settlements in Palestine. On college campuses, punishment of pro-Palestinian students for expressing criticisms of Israel is so commonplace that the Center for Constitutional Rights refers to it as “the Palestine Exception” to free speech.

Now there are two companion bills in Congress which will criminalize free speech by making it a felony to support any boycott of Israel, in violation of the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment that members of Congress have sworn to protect.

The bills are S.720 and its companion in the House, H.R. 1697, with an identical name, the Israel Anti-Boycott Act.

Here’s the text of S 720:

Israel Anti-Boycott Act

This bill declares that Congress: (1) opposes the United Nations Human Rights Council resolution of March 24, 2016, which urges countries to pressure companies to divest from, or break contracts with, Israel; and (2) encourages full implementation of the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2014 through enhanced, governmentwide, coordinated U.S.-Israel scientific and technological cooperation in civilian areas.

The bill amends the Export Administration Act of 1979 to declare that it shall be U.S. policy to oppose:

  • requests by foreign countries to impose restrictive practices or boycotts against other countries friendly to the United States or against U.S. persons; and
  • restrictive trade practices or boycotts fostered or imposed by an international governmental organization, or requests to impose such practices or boycotts, against Israel.

The bill prohibits U.S. persons engaged in interstate or foreign commerce from:

  • requesting the imposition of any boycott by a foreign country against a country which is friendly to the United States; or
  • supporting any boycott fostered or imposed by an international organization, or requesting imposition of any such boycott, against Israel.

The bill amends the Export-Import Bank Act of 1945 to include as a reason for the Export-Import Bank to deny credit applications for the export of goods and services between the United States and foreign countries, opposition to policies and actions that are politically motivated and are intended to penalize or otherwise limit commercial relations specifically with citizens or residents of Israel, entities organized under the laws of Israel, or the Government of Israel.

S 720’s companion bill, HR 1697, is much longer. It explains that:

“For a half century, Congress has combated anti-Israel boycotts and other discriminatory activity under the Export Administration Act of 1979.”

HR 1697 also specifies the punishment for violating the Israel Anti-Boycott Act: a minimum civil penalty of $250,000, and a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million and 20 years in prison:

Whoever knowingly violates or conspires to or attempts to violate any provision of section 8(a) [of the Export Administration act of 1979] or any regulation, order, or license issued thereunder shall be fined in accordance with section 206 of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1705).”

And what are those penalties? From 50 U.S.C. 1705:

“(b) Civil penalty

A civil penalty may be imposed on any person who commits an unlawful act described in subsection (a) in an amount not to exceed the greater of- (1) $250,000; or (2) an amount that is twice the amount of the transaction that is the basis of the violation with respect to which the penalty is imposed.

(c) Criminal penalty

A person who willfully commits, willfully attempts to commit, or willfully conspires to commit, or aids or abets in the commission of, an unlawful act described in subsection (a) shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than $1,000,000, or if a natural person, may be imprisoned for not more than 20 years, or both.”

Both bills have widespread bipartisan support:

(1) S 720 was introduced by Sen. Benjamin Cardin (D-MD) and has 45 co-sponsors:

  • 31 Republicans: John Boozman (AR), Richard Burr (NC), Shelley Moore Capito (WV), Bill Cassidy (LA), Susan Collins (ME), John Cornyn (TX), Tom Cotton (AR), Mike Crapo (IA), Ted Cruz (TX), Deb Fischer (NE), Lindsey Graham (SC), Chuck Grassley (IA), Orrin Hatch (UT), Dean Heller (NV), John Hoeven (ND), Johnny Isakson (GA), James Lankford (OK), Jerry Moran (KS), David Perdue (GA), Rob Portman (OH), Pat Roberts (KS), Marco Rubio (FL), Ben Sasse (NE), Tim Scott (SC), Luther Strange (AL), Dan Sullivan (AR), John Thune (SD), Thom Tillis (NC), Roger Wicker (MS), Todd Young (IN).
  • 14 Democrats: Michael Bennet (CO), Richard Blementhal (CT), Maria Cantwell (WA), Christopher Coons (DE), Joe Donnelly (IN), Joni Ernst (IA), Kristen Gillibrand (NY), Margaret Wood Hassan (NH), Joe Manchin (WV), Claire McCaskill (MO), Robert Menendez (NJ), Bill Nelson (FL), Gary Peters (MI), Charles Schumer (NY), Ron Wyden (OR).

(2) HR1697 was introduced by Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) and has 240 co-sponsors:

  • 177 Republicans
  • 63 Democrats

S 720 was referred to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs on March 23, 2017. Its companion bill, HR 1697, was referred to the House Financial Services Committee also on March 23, 2017.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reports on July 20, 2017, that HR 1697/S 720 “was drafted with the assistance of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee” (AIPAC). Indeed, AIPAC’s 2017 lobbying agenda identifies passage of this bill as one of its top lobbying priorities for the year.

The two bills that will make it a felony if you support any boycott of Israel also have the support of the thoroughly-cucked Christians United for Israel.

Did you know that, according to a list compiled in 2012, there are 41 members of Congress (29 in the House; 12 in the Senate) who have dual US-Israeli citizenship, which means they have dual loyalties?

The above list is dated in that Barney Frank, Henry Waxman and Anthony Weiner are no longer representatives.

Sen. Benjamin Cardin (D-MD), 73, who introduced S720 and whose grandparents were Russian Jewish immigrants, is on the above list. The family name was originally Kardonsky.

In 2015, Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL), 55, who introduced HR 1697, wrote a letter to the New York Times condemning the paper for a graphic on members of Congress opposed to Obama’s Iran nuclear agreement, which initially identified Jewish lawmakers with a bold yellow highlight. Roskam, who opposed the nuclear deal, called the graphic “anti-Semitic” and that it “feeds the canard of dual loyalty that legitimizes prejudice toward Jews worldwide.”

What is needed is an updated list. Alas, as L. Michael Hager — co-founder and former director general of the International Development Law Organization, Rome — discovered, it is extremely difficult to identify members of Congress who hold dual citizenship and to ascertain the second nationality of those members.

In October 2014, Hagen filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Congressional Research Service (CRS) for the names of members of Congress with dual citizenship. In January 2015, he finally got a non-answer in a telephone call from a legal officer of the Library of Congress. After reminding Hagen that Congress and the CRS by extension are exempt from FOIA requests, the officer said CRS does not collect dual citizenship data.

Hagen writes:

“That’s bad news for those of us who believe that citizens should know if their representatives in Congress (and senior government officials and judges, for that matter) owe allegiance to any other nation….

Without transparency on dual citizenship, Americans remain in the dark, free to speculate on which representatives may have divided loyalties…. The lack of transparency is dangerous, for it erodes trust in government, creating credibility doubts where there should be none and allowing some conflicts to continue undetected, without question or debate.

Thus the first requirement is transparency. We need a government agency (presumably the CRS) or a non-governmental organization to disclose the names and non-U.S. national affiliations of Members of Congress and senior government officials and to track and report on this issue.

Secondly, we need more media attention to the subject of dual citizenship….

Beyond the threshold issue of transparency are equally important questions of whether a dual citizen elected to Congress or appointed to a senior USG position should be required to renounce his or her citizenship in the second nation. Even if American law continues to allow the government service of dual citizens, should it not require such persons at least to recuse themselves from participating in decisions or policy debates that relate to their second nationality?….

Conflicts of interest and apparent conflicts by public officials erode trust in government. Allowing dual citizenship in Congress (and in the Executive and Judicial Branches) to flourish under cover of non-disclosure puts our democracy at risk.

It’s time to bring this issue into open debate.”

To their credit, both the ACLU and MoveOn.org oppose S720/HR1697. In a letter urging senators to oppose the bill, the ACLU’s national political director Faiz Shakir wrote:

“We take no position for or against the effort to boycott Israel or any foreign country, for that matter. However, we do assert that the government cannot, consistent with the First Amendment, punish U.S. persons based solely on their expressed political beliefs.”

ISIS Fighters in Iraq Killed by Wild Boars

Wild Boar (Sus scrofa), male showing his teeth, Bavaria, Germany, Europe

Bacon got the bast*rds…

Feel good story.

From Newsweek: Three militants loyal to the Islamic State group (ISIS) have been killed by wild boars as they planned to ambush Iraqi tribesmen opposed to the group, according to a local anti-ISIS leader.

At least eight ISIS fighters had reportedly taken cover among dense reeds in Iraq’s al-Rashad region, about 55 miles southwest of Kirkuk, in preparation for a surprise attack on local anti-ISIS tribesman when a herd of wild boars attacked the jihadists on Sunday, killing three. The militants likely disturbed the notoriously short-tempered animals, said Sheikh Anwar al-Assi, a chief of the local Ubaid tribe and head of the group of local tribesmen who took up arms after ISIS took control of the nearby town of Hawija.

“It is likely their movement disturbed a herd of wild pigs, which inhabit the area as well as the nearby cornfields. The area is dense with reeds, which are good for hiding in,” Assi told The Times.

The event was corroborated by local Kurdish fighters who have joined Iran-backed Shiite Muslim militias in attempting to oust ISIS from nearby Hawija. The jihadists’ mutilated bodies were reportedly discovered by refugees fleeing the violence that has beset the war-torn nation. An alliance consisting of Iraqi military, majority Shiite Muslim militias (called Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi), U.S.-led coalition forces and Kurdish units (known as peshmerga) are seeking to drive ISIS out of Iraq, according to Brigadier Azad Jelal, the deputy head of the Kurdish intelligence service in Kirkuk.

“Three fighters from ISIL were near the Peshmerga checkpoint in al-Rashad. They met some feral boars and the boars killed the three fighters,” Jelal told The Telegraph, using an alternative acronym for ISIS.

“Some refugees saw the bodies on the edge of a farm when they were fleeing and they told us. A few days later ISIL started to kill pigs around the area,” he added.

Israeli intelligence chief said Israel does not want ISIS to be defeated

Have you wondered, as I have, why Israel and the U.S. are hellbent on aiding and abetting jihadist rebels against the Assad government of Syria — a government that, unlike the rebels, does not abuse its Christian citizens? See:

Here’s the answer.

The Herzliya Conference, as described by its host, the Institute for Policy and Strategy at the Lauder School of Government of IDC Herzliya, “is Israel’s foremost global policy annual gathering, drawing together the most senior Israeli and international participants from government, business and academia to address pressing national, regional and global issues. The center stage for Middle East risk assessment and policy analysis, the Conference agenda covers a broad span of issues, ranging from nuclear proliferation and the Middle East peace process to world finance and energy security.”

Note: IDC Herzliya is the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya — a private research university in Herzliya, Israel. Herzliya is a city in the district of Tel Aviv, Israel.

To give you some idea as to the importance of the Herzliya Conference, the keynote speakers for the 16th Herzliya Conference, held on June 14-16, 2016, included (in chronological order):

  • Israeli President Reuven Rivlin
  • Former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee
  • Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger
  • Author and philosopher Bernard Henri-Lévy, who
  • Former Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ehud Barak

On June 15, 2016, the second day of the 16th Herzliya Conference, Chief of the Military Intelligence Directorate of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Major General Herzi Halevi delivered a keynote address on “Israel in the Turbulent Middle East: Strategic Review and Intelligence Assessment”.

Herzliya Conference’s report on Major Gen. Halevi’s speech quoted him as saying:

“The Game board in the Middle East has changed. Instead of few states, there are now many players. The transition from nation states to organizations is very significant. There are no good and bad guys, and players on the field change their identities.”

Halevi described a changed Saudi Arabia, whose interests now accord more with Israel’s:

Part of the strategies of the pragmatic Sunni nations are becoming closer to our own. Saudi Arabia is not the same country we once saw just a year and a half ago, they have a new king and are leading the Sunni camp in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is implementing vast reforms in order to move the country away from their oil dependent economy.”

On Iran, while Halevi applauded the Obama administration’s nuclear agreement with Iran, he warned that:

Iran is investing great efforts against Israel. Iran is supporting the three main threats on Israel: Hammas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad – in fact, they support 60% of it. It is a Shiite nation giving money to Sunni organization – they would do that to hurt Israel.”

On Syria, Halevi said:

Syrian industries have resumed the production of weaponry for Hezbollah, and neither the world or Israel should accept it – it could escalate the next conflict.”

Jerusalem Post elaborated more on what Halevi said about Iran:

“In the next wars, the majority of weapons that will attack Israel will be Iranian products. Iran is leading the way in cyber warfare and aiding Hezbollah on that front.”

But the most interesting and significant thing Halevi said was not reported by either Jerusalem Post or the Herzliya Conference. Instead, it was reported by AMN (Al-Masdar News, an online newspaper based in Beirut, Lebanon) on June 20, 2016:

Israeli intelligence Chief, Major General Herzi Halevy, said that the last three months have been the most difficult for ISIS since its inception.

In a speech delivered at “Herzliya” conference yesterday, Halevy explicitly said “Israel does not want the situation in Syria to end with the defeat of ISIS,” the Israeli NRG site reported.

“Withdrawal of the super powers from the region and letting Israel alone in front of Hezbollah and Iran that possess good abilities will make ‘Israel’ in a hard position. Therefore, we’ve to do all we can so as not finding ourselves in such situation,” the Israeli chief intelligence added.

AMN ‘s source is the Hebrew-language Israeli news site NRG.

According to Google Translate, the June 15, 2016 NRG report says that “on the second day of the 16th Herzliya Conference,” addressing “the difficult war in Syria,” head of Military Intelligence Herzi Halevi noted that “it reveals the main symptoms today in the Middle East, where countries are weakened and organizations are strengthened”. But “there are advantages” to “the presence of the great powers” in Syria, “as in the case of the destruction of Syria’s [the Assad government’s] chemical weapons.”

Then Halevi said:

“Israel does not want Syria to end in a situation where Da’ish is defeated, the superpowers leave the region, and we [Israel] are left facing a more powerful Hezbollah and Iran with better capabilities. Such an end result is problematic. We [Israel] need to influence events so that we do not reach this situation.

Da’ish is Arabic for Daesh — the Arabic language acronym for ISIS/ISIL or the Islamic State.

There you have it.

The reason for Israel and the U.S.’s support of the so-called Syrian “rebels” and adamant opposition to the Assad government of Syria — a government that, unlike the jihadist rebels, does not abuse its Christian citizens — is because, in the words of Israeli military intelligence chief Herzi Halevi:

A stable Syria wherein ISIS is defeated would mean the U.S. and allies (“great powers”) would withdraw from the region, leaving Israel alone to deal with Iran and Hezbollah.

It is in Israel’s interest that Syria remains in a civil war, and ISIS continue their demonic destruction and killing of Christians. Why the Obama administration and now the Trump administration as well think all that is in America’s interests — not to mention the interests and wellbeing of Syrian Christians — is another matter entirely.

President Trump: ‘We’re not going into Syria’

After members of his own cabinet — Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley — made war noises about taking out Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, President Trump denied that the U.S. is “going into Syria” in a phone interview last night with the New York Post (NYP).

Michael Goodwin reports for the New York Post, April 11, 2017:

Amid complaints that his aides are saying different things about Syria and his policy is confusing, President Trump emphatically cleared the air.

“We’re not going into Syria,” he told me yesterday in an exclusive [phone] interview. “Our policy is the same — it hasn’t changed. We’re not going into Syria.

But Trump insisted that Assad had used sarin gas on his own people, calling him a “butcher” and a “barbarian,” but that last week’s successful missile strike — which he calls “an act of humanity” — was not the start of a campaign to oust the dictator:

“Our big mission is getting rid of ISIS. That’s where it’s always been. But when you see kids choking to death, you watch their lungs burning out, we had to hit him and hit him hard.”

[Note: Trump continues to ignore reasoning and evidence to the contrary. There are also rumors that Trump’s National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster (who replaced ousted retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn) and others have been feeding Trump false intelligence:

  1. Assad had/has no reason to gas his people because the campaign against jihadist “rebels” is going well;
  2. The U.S. military knew the “chemical attack” was the result of Assad’s conventional air strike against a jihadist weapons depot in Idlib which contained chemical weapons of chlorine gas and organic phosphates — not sarin gas — which were released into the air from the strike.

See “Former US intelligence officials: Trump lied about Assad’s chemical attack on Idlib province” and “3 reasons why the latest Syrian chemical attack attributed to Assad is a false flag”]

The New York Post report continues that on Russia, Trump said he hoped for Putin’s cooperation, but that “I don’t know”:

“We’re not exactly on the same wavelength with Russia, to put it mildly. Putin must see what a barbarian this guy [Assad] is, and it’s a very bad symbol for Russia with this guy gassing children and using barrel bombs.”

About Iran and Obama’s nuclear deal with the regime, Trump said:

“I don’t need more pause about Iran. It was the single worst deal ever. It’s a disgrace that a deal like that was even signed. It made Iran a power from a country that was ready to fall apart. Iran won’t honor its deal. Instead of saying, ‘Thank you very much for saving our country,’ they’ve been emboldened.”

About North Korea making war noises, Trump said, “I knew I was left a mess, but it’s worse than I thought.”

Trump also said he has not had any recent contact with Obama and that “I’m very disappointed that I was surveilled and so was my campaign. That’s not supposed to be happening, but I’ve been proven right.”

Please tell President Trump that you do not want a U.S. war in Syria:
