1 in 3 Americans believe civil war is likely in 5 years

BlackLivesMatter riots continue to blaze across America.

Mobs in paroxysms of blind rage and demonic glee topple statues of our Founding Fathers, presidents, and historical figures Confederate or not, which belie the rioters’ ostensible cause of anti-racism.

Tbis is no longer about racism.

What we are witnessing is not just anarchism, it is chaos for chaos’ sake, destruction for the sake of destruction. Like the Taliban in Afghanistan who tore down and defaced Buddhist statues, the rioters today are tearing down historical symbols to obliterate American history itself.

If they could, they would topple the Statue of Liberty.

Amidst all the statue-untoppling, rioting, looting, burning, and occupation of city blocks, mayors and governors do nothing.

Democrats in Congress, especially their leader House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, not only do nothing, they are silent — their silence an unspoken acquiescence and approval. The Republicans are little better.

The only public figure who is vocal in his condemnation of all the anarchy and mayhem is President Trump, but he receives little to no support from his own party.

It is no wonder that the latest Rasmussen poll found that as many as 34% of U.S. likely voters, i.e., one in three, think that civil war is likely sometime in the next five years. 9% believe civil war is “very likely”.

Last year, 31% of Americans thought civil war was likely; the year before, in 2018, it was 11%.

The national phone and online survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted one June 11 and 14, 2020 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is ± 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

Other findings:

  • 40% of Republicans, 38% of nonpartisan or unaffiliated, and only 28% of Democrats see a second war on the horizon.
  • 39% of all likely voters believe the removal of Confederate symbols, names and monuments throughout the country honoring those who fought in the first civil war will help race relations. 27% disagree and think it will hurt race relations instead; 28% think removing public traces of the Confederacy will have no impact.
  • 37% of likely voters think the current protests over the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officers will lead to long-term, meaningful racial change in America. 31% disagree; 32% are not sure.
  • Race: Just 29% of blacks believe the current protests will lead to long-term, meaningful racial change in America, compared to 35% of whites and 48% of other minority voters. Blacks (54%) are far more confident than whites (36%) and other minorities (40%), however, that the removal of Confederate symbols, names and monuments will help race relations.
  • Gender and age: Women and those under 40 are more supportive of the current anti-police protests and the anti-Confederacy drive than men and older voters. Younger voters worry most about another civil war.
  • Political party: 64% of Democrats think getting rid of all traces of the Confederacy will help race relations, a view shared by only 19% of Republicans and 31% of unaffiliated voters.

Nancy Pelosi leads Democrats to take-a-knee, then can’t get up

Breitbart reports that yesterday, June 8, 2020, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) piously led fellow Congressional Democrats — including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) — to “take a knee” in silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds in Emancipation Hall at the U.S. Capitol “in honor of” George Floyd and to “respect the actions of the American people to speak out” against the “consequences” of slavery and racism “specifically manifested in police brutality.”

8 minutes and 46 seconds are the same amount of time former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who has been charged with second degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, knelt on Floyd’s neck, which ended in the latter’s death.

Referring to slavery in U.S. history, Pelosi said:

“That tragedy, that tragedy, that hour of history … slavery in our own country and then all the consequences of that. We are here to observe that pain. We are here to respect the actions of the American people to speak out against that, specifically manifested in police brutality. We are here to honor George Floyd and so many others who lost their lives and were abused by police brutality.”

Pelosi then read off a host of names, including Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Freddie Gray, Michel Brown, and Trayvon Martin, before the Democrat legislators, all draped in Kente cloth scarves, collectively took a knee.

Kente cloth is a textile made in Ghana, Africa, of interwoven cloth strips of silk and cotton. Kente scarves are often used by blacks in America as a symbol of ethnic pride.

After the kneeling, 80-year-old Pelosi struggled to get up.

Reaching to an aide for help, Pelosi blamed her high heels. She said: “It’s hard to get up. It’s better not to have high heels.”

Afterwards, Pelosi made more pious remarks during a press briefing.

Glaringly ignoring the violence, burning, looting, and killing of many Floyd protests (see “America Under Siege: George Floyd rioters burn, loot, kill”), Pelosi extolled the protests, saying: “Today this moment of national anguish is being transformed into a movement of national action as Americans from across the country peacefully protest to demand an end to injustice.”

Taking-the-knee is a Masonic gesture of deference, according to Henry Makow. NOTHING, nothing is and will ever be sufficient to placate blacks and the Left about slavery. Never mind the fact that Americans had fought the Civil War (1851-1865) to end slavery — the most ruinous war in U.S. history, which exacted a toll of an estimated 755,000 military deaths, amounting to 2.385% of the then-population.

Meet the democratic socialist (and poet!) running against Nancy Pelosi

Meet the quality of candidates that California has to offer their constituents:

Nancy Pelosi has been in office since 1987. Her current term expires January 3, 2021. And their ain’t NO WAY she’s giving up her power.

Given the background and qualifications of this democratic socialist running against Nancy, Shahid Buttar, she’s more than likely to win another re-election (unless by some miracle a republican gets elected).

Let’s learn a bit more about Shahid, shall we? From his web site:

“Since graduating from Stanford Law School in 2003, Shahid has worked in both San Francisco and Washington as a legal advocate, a non-profit leader, a grassroots organizer, and a poet & musician. His wide-ranging work reflects a commitment to intersectional feminism, democratic socialism, and international human rights. His passions have long aligned around a common purpose: building the movement to place human rights and human needs like peace and climate justice before corporate profits.

In addition to LGBTQ rights, privacy, and the right to encryption, Shahid’s work has also advanced immigrant rights, campaign finance reform, government transparency, international human rights, and police accountability. His writing has explored issues from the right-wing attack on reproductive freedom to the erosion of voting rights, and from effective counter-terrorism strategies to examples of counter-cultural activism promoting progressive politics at the intersection of art and organizing.

An immigrant of Pakistani descent from the United Kingdom and the youngest of four children, Shahid grew up in the midwest and first came to the Bay Area in 2000 to study law at Stanford.

While a student at Stanford Law School, he served as Executive Editor of the Stanford Environmental Law Journal and professor Lawrence Lessig’s teaching assistant for Constitutional Law. He also spear-headed a campaign to promote sustainable building practices by the university, a day of action to shut down a Lockheed Martin facility, and a student strike against the war in Iraq.

After growing immersed in the movement to end the war, Shahid moved to Washington to work for Heller Ehrman LLP, a San Francisco-based law firm that later collapsed during the 2008 financial crisis. His work there included litigation championing the right to marry the partner of one’s choice—nearly 10 years before the Democratic establishment finally embraced marriage equality—and an appeal defending bipartisan campaign finance reform from being undermined by the Federal Election Commission.”

Outside of his work as an advocate and organizer, Shahid performs as a DJ, MC, and poet. He also organizes artists, and has co-founded several collectives of politicized performance artists on both coasts.”

Some of his endorsements include left-wing actress Susan Sarandon, the anti-Semite Linda Sarsour, race-baiter Dr. Cornel West and faux black man Shaun King.

Stellar list of endorsements ‘ya got there, Shahid.
