Man claims he was booted off of flight because of anti-Semitism; airline says it was because of bad body odor

The Adler family kicked off a flight.

This man has a lot to complain about: the religion victim card, worried about his children and in need of clean clothes. He also must not fly very much if he believes that the airline industry has a responsibility “to go above and beyond” in their service.

From SF Gate: A Michigan couple and their 19-month-old daughter were removed from an American Airlines flight after the airline told them that other passengers and crew members had complained about their body odor.

Yossi Adler said he and his wife, Jennie, were heading home from a vacation in Miami on Wednesday night when they were told there was an emergency and they needed to exit the plane.

The couple, both 37, had eight other children at home in Southfield, Michigan, so Adler said that he and his wife were worried that there may have been an incident involving one of them. (Wouldn’t a babysitter or one of the kids called them if there was an incident at home?)

Later, he said, when he and his wife stepped off the plane and the airline told them that they had been removed because of a stench, they were “humiliated,” “frustrated” and left wondering about the real reason. “Obviously, there was a reason,” Adler, who is Jewish, said in a phone interview Friday with The Washington Post. “But I think it was an anti-Semitic reason.”

“Even if it wasn’t,” he added, “they were anti-Semitic afterward.”

American Airlines said in a statement that the Adlers were asked to deplane after “multiple passengers, along with our crew members, complained about Mr. Adler’s body odor. Our Miami airport team members were concerned about the comfort of our other passengers due to the odor. Our team members took care of the family and provided hotel accommodations and meals, and rebooked them on a flight to Detroit Thursday morning.”

The airline said its employees did not know of Adler’s religion.

Adler said the vouchers that American Airlines gave him for food and lodging did not work, so he had to pay out of pocket. The airline said that should not have been the case but that it will look into the matter and ensure any such expenses are reimbursed.

In any case, Adler said, had the airline been that concerned about his body odor, it should have given him clean clothes to wear. Instead, he said, he had to wear the same clothes on the flight the next morning because he did not have his belongings.

Video showed the Adlers approach a ticket counter Wednesday evening, complaining that the airline had removed them from the plane and then sent their belongings ahead to Detroit. “I’m trying to stay calm here,” Yossi Adler told an employee. “But there’s two Jewish people on the plane, and now they’re kicking us off because of odor. Seriously? Nobody here thinks I have odor. I need to get on a plane tonight. I have eight children at home.”

At one point, after Adler asked airline workers for an explanation for the removal, one of them asked him, “You told me for religious reasons you don’t shower?”

“I shower every day!” Adler quickly responded. “I said you kicked me off because of religious reasons.”

But some people who said they were also passengers on the flight said that it was not about religion. A person who spoke to The Washington Post on the condition of anonymity said that he and his girlfriend were also on the plane and that there was indeed a stench.

Another woman who claims to have been on the flight took to Twitter to back up American Airline’s claim. “The smell was so bad I don’t think I could have made it through the 2.5 hr flight,” she said.

Asked about that claim, Adler said in a text message to The Post that “the ‘BO’ is a fairy tale and cover for the reprehensible discrimination exhibited to myself and the insensitive treatment I and my family received by AA staff. My attorneys will prove that the BO claim is absolute nonsense.”

Adler told The Post that he had showered Wednesday morning.

Adler described the experience as a “horrible” ordeal, explaining that airline employees were walking around the airport holding their noses and fanning their faces. He said that had there been a legitimate body odor issue, the employees, who have a responsibly in the service industry “to go above and beyond,” should have helped him.
“Not once in my life has someone said I smell,” he told The Post.

So easily triggered: Army vet asked not to wear “2016 Trump for President” t-shirt at gym

Photo from KMOV

Imagine being so sensitive that you can’t ignore someone’s t-shirt. Libtards need to grow a thicker skin.

From Yahoo: An Army veteran says he was asked not to wear a shirt that read “2016 Trump for President” at a gym in Troy, Mo., on the ground that it made members uncomfortable and was “racist.”

Staff Sgt. Jake Talbot told St. Louis news station KMOV that he had worn the pro-Trump shirt to CDY Fitness in Troy before. But on Sunday, the owner of the gym asked him not to wear the political shirt again.

“I was just puzzled there for a second. She said that it was racist and represents racism and that’s when I when I was like ‘Oh, you’re done,’” Talbot told the outlet.

Talbot, who had been a member of the gym for eight years, took to Facebook to voice his displeasure over the incident.

He says in the video that the gym owner, whom he refers to as ‘Liz,’ said the shirt was linked to “racism,” adding, “Which I freaking hate that word, it’s thrown around way too loosely. It’s 2019, get the hell over it. It’s not racism.”

The owner, whom the St. Louis Post-Dispatch identifies as Liz Drew, released a statement on the gym’s Facebook page, which has since been deleted from the social media platform.

According to KMOV, the message read, “I am deeply saddened by the amount of hate this event has garnered. I will personally and publicly continue to defend my stance for tolerance and against hate no matter the financial consequence. … Allow me to clarify. I don’t believe our gym should be a political forum for anyone. I want everyone to feel safe and comfortable there. We are all trying to improve ourselves and work hard to change.”

Members of CDY are divided, and some have threatened to cancel their membership over the T-shirt incident, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

On Wednesday morning, gym owner Liz Drew told the Post-Dispatch that she had deleted the gym’s Facebook account after receiving thousands of hateful messages, including threats to burn down her gym. “This was about protecting the comfort level of all members and keeping politics out of my gym. Sadly, it has done just the opposite,” she said.

She disputed Talbot’s claim that she told him to remove the shirt. “I said, ‘Jake, we’re friends and I love you, but I’d appreciate it if you didn’t wear that shirt in the future,’” Drew told the Post-Dispatch.

The gym’s owner, however, legally did nothing wrong and was legally entitled to ask Talbot not to wear the shirt. Attorney Lynette Petruska told KMOV, “The business owner really didn’t violate any First Amendment or anti-discrimination law.”

Another gym in Talbot’s area has offered him a free one-year membership after his Facebook video went viral, according to St. Louis news station KSDK.

Jake Talbot did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment.

Hollywood producer Jack Morrissey calls for killing innocent Covington boys by putting them into the woodchipper

Last Friday, January 18, 2019, a deceptively-edited video posted to social media ignited a media-driven public lynching of a group of teenage boys from the all-male Covington Catholic High School in Park Hills, Kentucky.

That day, the boys, wearing red Make America Great Again (MAGA) hats and sweatshirts, participated in the March for Life in Washington, DC. The video shows the boys surrounding, laughing and jeering at an elderly Native American man singing and playing a drum, who is identified as Nathan Phillips, an Omaha elder and Vietnam veteran.

Wiping away tears, Phillips said: “When I was there singing, I heard them [Covington boys] saying ‘Build that wall, build that wall’. This is indigenous lands. We’re not supposed to have walls here. We never did.” (WDBJ7.com)

The Covington boys were roundly denounced by media outlets and their hometown mayor. The Covington Catholic School, Diocese and Archdiocese issued abject apologies and condemnation of the students.

It turns out the full video of the incident shows an entirely different version of what happened.

Instead of the Covington boys harassing Phillips, it was Phillips and a group of fellow Native American activists who approached the boys who were doing school cheers. (The March for Life coincided with an Indigenous People’s Rally.)

As you can see in the video below, posted to YouTube on January 18, the day of the incident, Phillips tests several of the boys, then targets one of them (0:58 mark). Chanting, Phillips gets in the boy’s face with a metal drumstick and drum. Another Native American man tells one of the students, “White people go back to Europe. This is not your land.”

It gets worse.

One of the Covington students told the Gateway Pundit that they were waiting for their school bus and doing school cheers when four Black Israelites got belligerent with them: “We were standing there when a group of four African Americans started calling us ‘crackers’ and ‘school shooters'” and told one of the Covington students, who is black, that “we will harvest his organs” when he gets older.

The student’s narrative is confirmed by Marcus Frejo, one of the Native American protesters, who has admitted that he knew the blacks were harassing the Covington students when he and other Native American protesters joined their “African American brothers” “in solidarity.”

In a Facebook post about the incident, Frejo wrote that he was wandering around the area when:

“all of the sudden this mob of youth from the Covington catholic highschool make there onto the steps overlooking the African American brothers and start heckling them with loud maga chants and I quickly realize whats going on when the white bro next to me says their wearing maga hats and shirts. At that moment…I wanna go over there and stand in solidarity with the brothers and just sing.”

Although the full video of the incident was posted to Facebook on January 18, the truth didn’t stop Jack Morrissey, a Hollywood producer of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and two Twilight Saga movies that romanticize blood-sucking soul-less vampires, from calling for the murder of the Covington boys.

On January 19, 2019, referring to the Covington boys, Morrissey tweeted that “MAGAkids” should be killed by putting them, “screaming, hats first, into the woodchipper.”

He has since locked his Twitter account so that his tweets can only be read by “confirmed followers,” but not before some netcitizen archived his tweet. Here’s a screenshot of Morrissey’s tweet:

It is not just Jack Morrissey who’s calling for violence against these innocent Covington boys.

Failed actor and ‘comedian’ Ben Hoffman, who goes by the stage name ‘Wheeler Walker Jr.,’ called for violent sexual crimes to be committed against the minor teens and even offered a reward to whoever can stalk and find the minor child and “punch him in the nuts.” (Gateway Pundit)

Yesterday, Rob Sanders, a Kentucky public prosecutor who represents the 16th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky (Kenton County), fired a warning at deranged leftists like Jack Morrissey and Ben Hoffman. He tweeted this:

Threatening acts of violence against educational institutions in Kentucky is a felony and we don’t take it lightly no matter the circumstances. #KYcrime

Kentucky woman’s death was “hastened” by frustration with President Trump

Imagine living your life (or dying by it) being so invested in politics and letting TDS kill you. Although I’m sure the woman’s age had much, much more to do with her death.

From Fox News: The obituary for a Kentucky woman who passed away in November reportedly claimed that her death “was hastened” by her concern over the Trump administration.

The tribute to the life of Frances Irene Finley Williams, 87, who died “peacefully at home” on Nov. 21, remembered her as “an avid bridge player” and “a voracious reader,” while also reflecting on her being a fan of Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson, according to Newsweek.

The obituary, which described her as “a passionate Democrat,” also reportedly included a line about Trump. “Her passing was hastened by her continued frustration with the Trump administration,” it read.

Williams son, Art, told Newsweek that he thought the president and the current state of America negatively affected his mother’s health.

Following her death, the family submitted the obituary, photos and a $1,684.44 check to the Cremation Society of Kentucky, which gave it to The Louisville Courier-Journal to be included in the publication for a few days, Newsweek reported.

However, the family later learned that the Courier-Journal would not print the obituary “with the one sentence that refers to Pres. Trump,” Art told the outlet. Art was reportedly notified via email that the line violated the Courier-Journal’s “policy against negative content.”

While the family ultimately decided to remove the line from Williams’ obituary, Art took to social media on the subject in January, Newsweek reported. “I was–and still am, dumbfounded, surprised–but most of all disappointed and aghast that a once historically- courageous American newspaper that exists by reason of freedom of speech would so trivially move to abate the free speech that it seems, when convenient, to hypocritically champion,” the post said, according to Newsweek.

Art reportedly also sought an apology for his father, a World War II veteran who had just lost his wife.

Richard Green, the editor for the Courier Journal, told Fox News via email that upon learning about the situation, the publication “immediately dug into what happened” and ultimately sought to remedy the situation.

He explained that paid obituaries, which are managed by the outlet’s corporate sales team, “are not processed locally, and the Newsroom does not see these paid obits before publication.”

“It took a little digging, but we discovered that someone on a Wisconsin Sales Team that handles obits made a bad call and said the obituary that was presented by the family could not be published,” Green said. Following the discovery, Green said he got involved as “it was a bad decision, and we are rectifying it.”

Green offered an apology to Williams’ family and the newspaper is “republishing the obituary for the family for free,” he said.

How progressive: Striking LA teachers turn to social media to shame substitutes

From NY Post: Some striking Los Angeles teachers are trying to teach picket-line crossers a lesson — by posting their names on social media.

“These subs crossed our picket line,” Deanna Cambell posted on Twitter Monday — with a list of substitutes working to keep the second-largest school system in the nation open.

Only a third of the students showed up for classes Monday, the first day of the strike, costing the district $25 million in state funding based on attendance, according to The Los Angeles Times. After subtracting $10 million in unpaid wages for the strikers, the district lost $15 million.

The students who did go to school were taught by a skeletal staff that struggled to keep them engaged.

“It’s clearly having a big impact,” Los Angeles schools Superintendent Austin Beutner said. “We need our educators back in our classrooms inspiring students.”

Meanwhile, some students joined the United Teachers Los Angeles union and its 31,000 members on the picket line with their parents. “My parents support me,” high school sophomore Rea Angeli told the Times, adding she plans to be out on the picket line until Wednesday. “Teachers do a lot for us.”

“After the strike, it’s better not to go back to school,” the 15-year-old said. “You’re crossing the picket line. It’s not helping the teachers. If you can [avoid going to] to school, it’s a little action. It helps them a lot, so why not do it?”

The Teamsters Local 399 union urged production companies filming at school location to stand with them too. “Teamsters don’t cross picket lines!” the union said, according to Deadline. “If you are filming on a location at a school that has an active picket line you do not have to cross. We urge members to stand in solidarity with educators by honoring their picket lines.”

Educators are demanding better pay, smaller class sizes and more support staff in the union’s first strike in the City of Angels in 30 years.

“#Januhairy” some how empowers women by encouraging them to grow out their body hair

Yeah, hard pass on this form of “empowerment.”

I have no desire for any part of my body to look like that of a man.

From Yahoo: You’ve heard about Movember, but what about ‘Januhairy‘?

Similar to the social movement in November, which encourages men to grow mustaches to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide, Januhairy is a new annual event targeted to women.

Januhairy encourages women to embrace their body hair by growing it out throughout the month. This new craze was started by Laura Jackson, a drama student at the University of Exeter in the U.K. after she noticed a difference in how she felt when she grew out her body hair for a role.

“I grew out my body hair for a performance as part of my drama degree in May 2018,” she wrote in a selfie posted on the Januhairy Instagram account. “There had been some parts that were challenging for me, and others that really opened my eyes to the taboo of body hair on a woman. After a few weeks of getting used to it, I started to like my natural hair. I also started to like the lack of uncomfortable episodes of shaving. Though I felt liberated and more confident in myself, some people around me didn’t understand why I didn’t shave/didn’t agree with it.”

That’s when she put her feelings into action. “I realized that there is still so much more for us to do to be able to accept one another fully and truly. Then I thought of Januhairy and thought I would try it out. It’s a start at least . . .”

She explained that the photo she posted was taken a few months ago, but she’s still participating in Januhairy and starting the growing process over again.

She’s encouraging others to support the movement and the cause associated with it. Jackson created a Crowdfunding page to support the body-positive organization, Body Gossip, which empowers every body to be the best version of themselves through Arts and Education. Her goal is to raise 1,000 pounds and she’s three-quarters of a way to her goal (739 pounds have already been raised).

Only 9 days into the month, the movement has already taken off. There are 2,796 Instagram posts with the hashtag #januhairy featuring empowering selfies from participants.

One Instagram user explained why she was taking part in the movement. “This is not a campaign to say, ‘oh women should be hairy’ but a movement in solidarity to discuss the importance of young women taking back ownership of how their body should look, whether that means being hairless or not, it’s up to individuals to decide.”

Feminist barred from pub for wearing t-shirt that says, “Woman: human female” after complaint it discriminates against transgender people

Feeeeeeeeeeelings trumps scientific biological reality.

From Daily Mail: You might have thought it was the most innocuous item someone could wear: a simple black T-shirt bearing the dictionary definition of woman as ‘human female’.

But a young mother has been barred from her local pub after a complaint that the words discriminated against transgender people.

The unlikely new front line of the ongoing war between feminists and transgender campaigners is the snug Five Clouds Tap and Bottle in the historic market town of Macclesfield (England).

Rebekah Wershbale said she was ‘stunned’ when a barwoman at the pub informed her she was banned because of the definition.

Ms. Wershbale said: ‘She told me that the T-shirt I was wearing was upsetting people because it was transphobic and not inclusive so I was barred. What she meant was that I was somehow offending men who say they are women because my T-shirt did not include them in the definition of a woman. There aren’t even any transgender staff or patrons at the pub. It’s crackers.’

Ms. Wershbale is a supporter of feminist group Fair Play For Women, which opposed a Government’s consultation to reform the Gender Recognition Act (GRA).

This proposed legal change would allow people to self-identify as the gender they believe they are without any medical diagnosis. Feminists and transgender campaigners have been locked in an increasingly heated battle with leading feminists fearing the change will harm the safety and privacy of women.

Ms. Wershbale, a mother-of-one, had gone last Sunday with her girlfriend to play board games at the pub where she has been a regular for three years.

But the 34-year-old was surprised to be approached by a member of staff with a complaint. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened that evening, except when she spoke to another drinker at the pub, a gay man called Mika Johnson.

‘I sat down next to him and asked him how he was,’ Ms. Wershbale said. ‘He said, “I don’t want to talk to you to be honest – please leave me alone.” ‘So I said OK and left it.’

Thirty minutes later a member of the bar staff named Heather came to Ms. Wershbale’s table to tell her she was no longer welcome at the pub. ‘Heather said I’d been upsetting people and Mika was crying,’ Ms. Wershbale said.

‘She told me that the way I talk about radical feminism was a problem and said: “The T-shirt you’re wearing is upsetting and not inclusive.” I replied that it simply said the dictionary definition of being a woman – how can it be offensive?

She mumbled a bit about it being transphobic and that I had been transphobic previously. She then said I was barred and that she had been nominated by the other bar staff to come to tell me that.

‘I asked if she thought it was troubling that I was being removed from my own local because I was wearing a feminist T-shirt that had upset a gay man. But she just repeated I wasn’t being inclusive.

On the same day Mr. Johnson – the pub goer Ms. Wershbale had offended – took to Twitter to talk about his distress. He wrote: ‘When you’re trying to relax in your fave pub and there is a TERF [trans exclusionary radical feminist] wearing an anti-trans T-shirt… it’s disgusting and I’m so upset by it.’

The owner of Five Clouds Tap and Bottle Brewery Tom Lewis confirmed Ms. Wershbale had been ordered to leave after the complaint. But he said there had been a series of incidents where she had upset staff and customers by challenging them about their views on men identifying as female.

The manager of Five Clouds Tom Lewis said Ms. Wershbale is not permanently barred but she must ‘have a discussion with staff so she understands the situation’ before she is allowed back in.

Ms. Wershbale said the claims were ‘untrue’ and an attempt to smear her. She admitted that while at the Five Clouds she had promoted a feminist campaign by Fair Play For Women.

However, she insisted she was not transphobic and is only against the reform of the law because she believes it could put women’s safety at risk by allowing men who say they are female access to women-only spaces.

Restaurant in NH removes sign after city’s concerns over name

I got a chuckle out of this.

It’s not the greatest name for a restaurant but sure is a great way to get free PR.

From MyFoxChicago: But what are they going to do with all the T-shirts they made up? The owner of a soon-to-be-opening French-Vietnamese restaurant in New Hampshire is set to meet with the city manager of Keene following concerns that the eatery’s name sounds like a profane phrase.

Pho Keene Great, which is not scheduled to open until March, had already displayed a small sign prominently featuring the name, which is a play on both the Vietnamese dish pho (pronounced “fuh”) and the name of the town (Keene).

City Manager Elizabeth Dragon said the owner, Isabelle Jolie, hadn’t gotten permission to hang a sign displaying the outside the restaurant. Jolie has since had it removed.

The restaurant’s Facebook page has also been polling social media users, asking if they think the name of the restaurant is offensive.

“The issue is pending a meeting with the city manager and her team,” the restaurant wrote in its post, which found that 97 percent of respondents found the name to be “fun” rather than offensive.
