Calif. Gov. Jerry Brown threatens to put climate-change protesters ‘in the ground’

California governor Jerry Brown is in the midst of a 10-day tour in Europe to propagandize about anthropogenic (man-made) “climate change,” which will end with the United Nations conference on climate change.

Several days ago, at an event organized by the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences, Brown bemoaned about humans’ “greed” and “inertia” and urged that a “transformation” is needed in our consciousness — that what is needed is mass “brain washing”. (See DCG’s post here.)

Yesterday, Brown was in Bonn, Germany, at the U.S. Climate Action Pavilion on behalf of “America’s Pledge,” which brings together leaders from both the private and public sectors to ensure the U.S. remains dedicated to the climate goals of the Paris Agreement that President Trump had nixed because the agreement would undermine the U.S. economy.

Mandy Mayfield reports for the Washington Examiner that what appears to be a handful of protesters disrupted Brown’s speech by yelling and chanting about fighting pollution and keeping oil in the ground.

Visibly irritated at the protesters, Brown “jokingly” called for the protesters to be killed — “put in the ground”. Brown said:

“I wish we could have no pollution, but we have to have our automobiles. I agree with you, in the ground. Let’s put you in the ground so we can get on with the show here.

Imagine what the MSM would do if President Trump had called for putting protesters “in the ground”.

Nor do I believe Jerry Brown was joking.

If the Left had their druthers, they would have all dissidents exterminated.

Do you remember that commercial for the 10:10 Campaign — a worldwide campaign to reduce carbon emissions by at least 10% by 2010? In the commercial, school children and adults who refuse to join 10:10 are blown up into bits, their blood and pieces of flesh spattering those nearby.

Gov. Moonbeam: “World needs brainwashing on climate change”

jerry brown

ManBearPig approved.

From Sacramento Bee: Gov. Jerry Brown challenged the world’s religious leaders to further engage as he minimized the negative effects of President Donald Trump on meeting the climate-change challenge.

“The Trump factor is very small, very small indeed,” in comparison to the commitments taking place around the world, Brown said to a burst of applause Saturday at an event organized by the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences. “That’s nothing to cheer about, because if it was only Trump that was a problem, we’d have it solved. But that’s not our only problem.

The problem … is us. It’s our whole way of life. It’s our comfort … It’s the greed. It’s the indulgence. It’s the pattern. And it’s the inertia.”

Brown, who arrived Friday for nearly two weeks of climate talks across Europe, said the path to transformational change must include the mass mobilization of the religious and theological sphere, but also the prophetic sphere.

“The power here is prophecy. The power here is faith, and that’s what this organization is supposed to be about. So, let’s be about it and combine with the technical and the scientific and the political.

To slow the devastation of climate change, society cannot rely only on science and technology and must begin to accept the need for more transformational approaches, Brown said. He spoke for more than 40 minutes, punctuating his remarks and answers to attending scientists to reflect on his own experiences.

Brown’s first brush with the concept of transformation came when he entered the Jesuit seminary in the 1950s before the Second Vatican Council. He spoke Latin, meditated, underwent self-discipline, mortified himself.

“We tried real hard, and I can tell I did not achieve perfection. I was not transformed. In fact some of my bad habits, which I will not reveal, are the same as they were … when I came into Jesuit seminary when Pius XII was pope.

Brown acknowledged that achieving transformation will not be easy, citing his recent visit to the Eastern Economic Forum in Russia, where world leaders gathered for discussions about trade with scant mention of climate effects.

“At the highest circles, people still don’t get it,” he said. “It’s not just a light rinse” that’s required. “We need a total, I might say ‘brain washing.’

“We need to wash our brains out and see a very different kind of world.”

Hollyweird hypocrite: Private jet flyer/owner Harrison Ford goes after Trump team’s environmental policies

harrison ford

Harrison Ford boarding a private jet.

Never let your Trump Derangement Syndrome get in the way of your private and hypocritcal hobbies.

Harrison Ford is a pilot. A rich one. He can afford his own fleet of airplanes and fly them whenever he wants.

According to a 2015 Daily Mail article, Ford has a long range jet, a Citation Sovereign, a turboprop aircraft capable of operating on unimproved airstrips; and a de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver single engine bush plane. He also has a 1929 Waco Taperwing open-top biplane, an Aviat Husky, which is a two-seat fabric-covered bush plane, and a Bell 407 helicopter (a total of seven aircraft).

He also has about a dozen motorcycles including several BMWs, a couple of Harleys, Hondas and a Triumph. He has vintage cars too including a rare 1955 forest green convertible Jaguar XK 140 worth about $150,000.

In true DiCaprio fashion, the carbon-emitting hypocrite lectures us on Trump whilst ignoring his own carbon footprint.

From Hollywood Reporter: Harrison Ford got political on Thursday night at 3Labs in Culver City when he was honored by Conservation International, a non-profit environmental group he has been involved with for 26 years.

“We face an unprecedented moment in this country. Today’s greatest threat is not climate change, not pollution, not flood or fire,” Ford said during his acceptance speech of the Founders’ Award. “It’s that we’ve got people in charge of important shit who don’t believe in science.”

He went on to criticize those politicians who let “political or economic self-interest denigrate or belittle sound scientific understanding of the causes and effects of human pressure on the environment.”

Ford serves as executive vice chair of Conservation International, which celebrated its 30th anniversary at the event. The group aims to protect nature and specifically focused on a ‘No Forests, No Future’ theme at the gala, highlighting the Amazon rainforest and its importance in addressing climate change.

“I’m here tonight for one reason: I care deeply for the natural world. It’s not about me, it’s not about me at all, it’s about this other world we’re going to leave behind,” the actor said. “If we don’t stop the destruction of nature, nothing else will matter. Jobs won’t matter, our economies won’t matter, our freedoms and ethics won’t matter, our children’s education and potential won’t matter, peace, prosperity. If we end the ability of a healthy natural world to sustain humanity nothing else will matter, simply said.”

Ford has been deeply involved in the environmental cause for several decades, meeting with lawmakers, businesses and communities to discuss how to improve conservation policy and practices.

“Other than my family, doing this work has been the most important thing of my life,” he said. “Nature doesn’t need people, people need nature.”

Al Gore says Trump has “surrounded himself with polluters”

Al Gore hypocrite

Are ManBearPig’s private jet flights powered by unicorn farts?

From Hollywood Reporter: Al Gore previously expressed cautious optimism that Donald Trump would rethink some of his environmental policies, but the former vice president said he now realizes that he got that wrong.

Speaking at Mexico’s Morelia film fest this week, where he is presenting his Inconvenient Truth sequel, Gore chuckled when a reporter asked him when he would show the film to Donald Trump.

“I had a lot of conversations with Donald Trump after he was elected and after he went into the White House and I actually thought there was a realistic chance that he would come to his senses, but I was wrong,” Gore said.

Gore has not spoken with the president since the announcement that the U.S. was pulling out of the Paris climate accord and he now says he’s “not going to waste any more time” on reaching out to Trump.

The former vice president slammed the decision to withdraw from the agreement, calling it “reckless and indefensible.”

An Inconvenient Sequel opened stateside in August. Just days ahead of the release, a conservative think tank criticized the former vice president, saying his electricity bills showed he consumed at least 21 times more energy than the average American.

On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly vowed to “drain the swamp” in Washington, but Gore believes that has not happened: “I think he has surrounded himself with polluters and special interests who seem to not care at all about the public interest.”

Trump’s EPA chief Scott Pruitt has questioned the consensus of scientists that the earth is warming and that man-made climate emissions are to blame.

Mets pitcher, a “Texan Republican,” links hurricanes to US pulling out of Paris Climate Accord

noah snydergaard

Private Mets’ Delta jet (l) that pitcher Syndergaard (r) flies each season

I wonder how much carbon emissions this pitcher and his team emit while flying via their private Delta jet each season to play baseball? Hypocrite.

From Fox News: New York Mets star pitcher Noah Syndergaard tossed a curveball to Twitter fans late Monday, suggesting the number of deadly hurricanes that have ravaged the United States in recent weeks is “karma” for the Trump administration’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.

Syndergaard, 25, a starting pitcher for the Mets who has been on the disabled list since May, linked the spate of recent hurricanes – Harvey, Irma, Jose and Maria – to President Trump’s June pullout from the Paris deal. On Saturday, a European Union official said the U.S. may be open to reviewing the terms of the accord, but National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster quickly shot down the “false report.”

“U.S. pulls out of Paris Climate Accord. Then hit by 4 hurricanes in 6 weeks. Global Warming Karma?” Syndergaard wrote, adding the hashtags: “I’m a Texan Republican” and “wake up.”

Syndergaard, nicknamed ‘Thor’ for his likeness to the fictional character due to flowing, blonde locks and a chiseled frame, tweeted later: “…..and I know Karma.”

To that post, he added the hashtag “take the MRI.” That tweet was an apparent dig at himself for refusing an MRI before he was scheduled to pitch on May 1. Syndergaard ended up injuring himself during the game, after which he was placed on the disabled list. He has yet to pitch in another major league game this season.

Social media users quickly responded to the pitcher’s climate change claim.

“Stick to baseball because weather obviously isn’t your strong point,” Rdsknsfan3 wrote.

“You just lost a lifetime Mets fan. Stick to pitching, if you can stay healthy for even one freaking season. Stupidity Karma?” MaximilianoNJ wrote.

Added LHVPundit: “Stick to what you know (baseball) and leave the science to scientists. Mets fans don’t care about where you stand on political issues.

Libtard and TDS-infected Jennifer Lawrence’s latest movie flops

jennifer lawrence

Hypocrite Jennifer Lawrence: So concerned about “human activity” and “climate change” she flies by private jet.

Good.

Why is this idiot still living in the USA? The world didn’t end upon Trump’s election. Do as you said you’d do and get your butt outta here!

From Yahoo: The gonzo horror movie Mother! has had an impressively terrible weekend at the US box office, where it has suffered a triquetra of indignities, namely mass walkouts, an F grade from audiences and lacklustre ticket sales.

The film, which has inspired an abundance of explainers attempting to decipher what it all meant, grossed just $7.5 million at the box office despite a significant marketing campaign, making it the lowest wide-release opening of star Jennifer Lawrence’s career, and the latest film to enter into the pantheon of movies graced with an “F” score from exiting audience members.

Twitter is abuzz with tales of walkouts during screenings both in the UK and US, with reaction to the film appearing split down the middle – some calling it a masterpiece, others proclaiming it the worst film they’ve ever seen.

The film also received an “F” grade CinemaScore from exit polling at select cinemas across the USA, putting it company with critical darlings like Steven Soderbergh’s Solaris, William Friedkin’s Bug and the Australian horror flick Wolf Creek, all of which received F grades upon their respective US releases.

Right-wing Americans have also been gloating over the film’s financial failure (you bet we are!), following an attempt at boycotting Lawrence for comments in which she tied together Donald Trump’s election, his stance on climate change, “Mother Nature’s wrath” and Hurricane Irma.

Hypocrites: Hollyweird libtards lecture us about climate change at telethon

ManBearPig approved.

From Daily Mail: The A-list celebrities who starred in the telethon for those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have clocked up hundreds of thousands of air miles which have fuelled rising temperatures and helped create devastating storms (the Daily Mail article will continue with this global warming theme; ignore they hypberbole).

Tuesday night’s Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief included performances and messages from Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, George Clooney, Cher and Leonardo DiCaprio. They appealed to viewers to donate to help fund relief efforts after the disastrous storms hit the southern US.

But a MailOnline investigation has revealed the extent to which stars have contributed to the catastrophic weather phenomenons with their jet-setting lifestyles.

Justin Bieber is calculated to have travelled at least 136,000 miles in a plane over the last year, environmentalist DiCaprio is believed to have done more than 87,000 miles while fellow actor Clooney did 61,000 miles.

Carbon emissions from plane journeys such as the celebrities’ cause the earth’s temperature to heat and the resulting higher ocean temperatures lead to more powerful hurricanes. The higher temperatures over land and sea mean the storms generate more energy.

Bieber was the biggest culprit, having flown on approximately 45 flights in the past 52 weeks. His longest flight was from Australia to the UK at the beginning of July having been down under on his Purpose World Tour. The 10,638-mile flight burned through a massive 1.8 tonnes of carbon dioxide alone in a year that stacked up against him in terms of his carbon footprint.

Trips to Germany, Dublin, Paris, Cape Town, Mumbai, Rio de Janeiro and to his homeland Canada meant he clocked up a staggering 136,947 air miles burning through 22.45 tonnes of CO2 since September 2016.

The average annual carbon dioxide emissions per person in America is 20 metric tons, compared to a world average of four tons.  This means without even considering the miles he chugs in his cars or the emissions caused by heating and cooling his many homes, Bieber is above the average consumption.

Staunch environmentalist hypocrite Leonardo DiCaprio has been jetting across the globe around twice a month in the past year. The actor flew around 87,609 miles on various business trips and jaunts around the world which burned up 14.8 tons of carbon dioxide. His longest trip was his return journey from California to the south of France where he enjoyed the iconic Cannes film festival.

In April, DiCaprio joined thousands of climate change protesters in Washington DC to mark President Donald Trump’s 100th day in office. Large crowds gathered on Pennsylvania Avenue for the People’s Climate March, an event that saw about 300 coinciding protests around the country, according to organizers.

The mercury rose to around 90F in DC, and protesters brought their own water bottles and sunscreen as they warned about the dangers of global warming.

Holding signs that read ‘There is no planet B’, and ‘Make Earth Great Again’, the protesters say they’re objecting to the president’s rollback of restrictions on mining, oil drilling and greenhouse gas emissions at coal-fired power plants, among other things.

George Clooney spent around 61,448 in the air since September last year which included a long trip to Italy this summer. He is thought to have flown 4,265 miles from Toronto to Los Angeles to attend Tuesday night’s Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief telethon at a cost of 720kg of CO2. His total air time meant his carbon emissions from flying alone was 10.31 tonnes of CO2.

Meanwhile, despite being pregnant with twins, Beyonce still managed to clock up 28,040 miles in 12 months burning through 4.55 tons of CO2.

And at 71, Cher has been a relative homebird compared to the rest of her celebrity compatriots, only appearing to fly within the US in a total of 6,546.

The total emissions only takes into account the flights the celebrities have taken and is likely to be astronomic when driving, pollution from their concerts or films and the electric in their homes are considered.
