We’re Being Played: BLM “Good Cop” vs. ANTIFA “Bad Cop”

Cross-posted with trevor loudon.com

One need not be a cynic to observe that media-propelled street demonstrations over the killing of a Black occur, with suspicious correlation, during the months preceding elections: Trayvon Martin in 2012; Michael Brown (Ferguson, MO and Oakland, CA) in 2014; Sylville Smith (Milwaukee) and Keith Lamont Scott (Charlotte) in 2016. And now in 2020, across the nation after the death (murder?) of George Floyd.

This is not to say that outrage over the death of George Floyd is to be dismissed as inauthentic, nor unwarranted. While there is much we don’t yet know, the now-infamous video is certainly prima facie evidence of police abuse. Still, there is much that must be to be determined before we can reach legitimate conclusions: was the knee on the neck accepted procedure in that department (doubtful), used on Whites and Blacks alike, or did the officer go out of bounds? Was he disciplined before, or even did the department try to fire him before, but was unsuccessful due to union contract protections?

We still have much to learn.  In time, we will know. What we do know now is that the matter has the full attention of state, local and federal prosecutors, and justice will be done, and in the daylight of media coverage. In turn, a salutary deterrence effect of rogue police behavior will be advanced.

At the same time, it’s also worth noting that the same folks who are quick to condemn all police, and indeed our entire country for “systemic racism,” are the first ones to dismiss the rioting and looting as coming from a “few bad actors” while the “overwhelming majority of protestors are peaceful.”

Well guess what? The overwhelming majority of police are upstanding and brave individuals, performing a ever-more difficult and dangerous jobs (and so they do deserve robust job protections, just not at the expense of preventing the removal of those who do not deserve to wear a badge).

Before we proceed however, it must be stated unequivocally that the entire premise of “police slaughtering Blacks” and “systemic racism” in this country is a big lie – one worthy of premier propagandists like Edward Bernays and his spiritual protégé, Josef Goebbels. Don’t take my word for it – it’ll be dismissed as coming from a White male, in Progressive-speak meaning that it is to be summarily dismissed. So instead, consider the words of intellectually honest Blacks, such as Candace Owens (here  and here) and Larry Elder (here and here).

When you have big lies developed, distributed and adhered to, notwithstanding contrary evidence, you have an underlying agenda – one that may be shrouded even from the public operatives perpetuating the big lies.

Cops in the Cross-hairs – Antifa Declares War on Police

There was a time in our country when not even the Mafia dared kill a cop. But those times are long past. Well-funded and highly organized anarchists have used the protests over the killing of George Floyd as an excuse to burn private and government property and loot businesses across the country. In the beginning, these terrorists focused on destruction and inciting others to riot. But now, these provocateurs have ratcheted up their mayhem by taking aim at police officers and attempting to kill them. The rule of law has fallen by the wayside. The guerrilla war now is being waged with lethal intent. Follow the dollar. The foul reek of Darth Soros, who bragged about turning in his own people to the Nazis during WWII, fills the air. Here are just a few of the assaults on police in the past week.

St. Louis, MO

Four police officers shot during a downtown protest, two in leg, one in arm one in the foot. St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden said they were hit by gunfire by “some coward” while standing on the side of a police line. “As we speak we’re trying to get control out of this city, still hearing gunfire and everything,” he said. I don’t know what else to say. This is horrible. Thank God, they’re alive.” The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that all of the officers were conscious and breathing after being rushed to the hospital.

Las Vegas, NV

Officer was in a fight with a suspect at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino on the strip when someone walked up behind the officer and shot him in the head. The officer is on life support.

Richmond, Va.

NBC-12 in Richmond reported that two police officers and a suspect were injured in a shooting after they were called to investigate a report of an armed person on Semmes Avenue early Tuesday morning. When they arrived, gunfire erupted. The two cops and the suspect were taken to local hospitals.

The Bronx, NY

An NYPD sergeant was critically injured when he was brutally and deliberately run over by a speeding SUV hit and run assailant. In a similar incident in the Bronx in New York City, an NYPD officer investigating reports of break-ins was struck by a vehicle early Tuesday in a hit-and-run. The officer survived being run over and is said to be in a stable condition.

This video of the hit-and-run was posted on social media. It is extremely graphic. View with caution.

Davenport, Iowa

According to authorities, an officer was “ambushed” with gunfire Sunday. Another officer shot back, and the suspects fled but were later arrested. Near where the officer was wounded, police found a man shot to death and a handgun under his body. His identity wasn’t released.
Police said surveillance video shows that the man and some of the arrested suspects were involved in a shooting outside a jewelry store hours earlier. They were casing the business when other cars arrived and multiple people fired shots at each other, police said.

Atlanta, GA

An Atlanta Police officer was seriously injured after being hit by an ATV in downtown Atlanta during a second night of protests. Police said Sunday that the officer had surgery early this morning and is currently recovering in the intensive care unit at Grady Memorial Hospital. Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms identified him Sunday night as officer Maximilian Brewer, who has been with the department for 18 years. “We ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers,” Bottoms said. “He has a long road to recovery.” Brewer was on foot when he was hit on Ted Turner Drive around 10 p.m. He sustained significant injuries to his legs.Police said the ATV’s driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken into custody. Bottoms said Sunday night that they do believe the rider struck Brewer intentionally.

Oakland, CA

Two federal officers in Oakland were shot Friday night, one of them fatally, as protests over the death of George Floyd turned violent. The two Federal Protective Service officers worked for Homeland Security, and were based at the Oakland Downtown Federal Building, according to report. No arrests have been made. During the riot, six Oakland police officers were injured, in addition to the federal officers who were shot.

Denver, CO

Denver police are searching for a Chevrolet Cobalt or Cruze, that struck a Denver Police vehicle and severely injured 3 police officers, and a civilian. The suspect driver of the car did not stop. The officers suffered serious injuries, but were expected to survive. So far, there is no word on the condition of the civilian.

And so it continues. The mayhem continues; the marching for one murdered man goes on. But the question arises, who will march for the dead police officers?

Chiraq criminals missed the Wuhan virus memo; sees deadliest Memorial Day weekend in five years

Shocker, not: The thugs in Chiraq ignored Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s orders.

Headline on Monday night from MyFoxChicago: Chicago sees deadliest Memorial Day weekend in years: 10 fatally shot, 31 wounded.

This is Chiraq’s deadliest Memorial Day weekend since 2015. Read all the details here.

And this occurred despite Chicago Police increasing patrols to enforce Mayor Lightfoot’s stay-at-home order. From a story three days prior:

“As the long holiday weekend kicks off, Chicago police say they will be enforcing the stay-at-home order.

The city is calling it an “all-hands-on-deck” strategy. Chicago police are increasing patrolling, including near major transit hubs and that is just one of the many things are doing to help keep people safe this weekend.

Memorial Day weekend in the past has typically been one of the most violent times in the city.

“This Memorial Day weekend will be like no other,” said Rich Guidice, Executive Director of the Office of Emergency Management and Communications.

CPD will enforce the stay-at-home order and be on the lookout to breakup large gatherings and issue citations.”

Well, this Memorial Day weekend was like no other…but not in the way they anticipated. Great leadership, Mayor Lightfoot!

(FYI: Mayor Lightfoot’s Twitter bio now includes the following: “Delightfully strict.”)

Seattle government hard at work during the Wuhan virus

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan

You really believe that these bureaucrats are going to protect you? They can’t even solve a decade-long problem of homelessness nor properly set up a web site.

From Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan’s Twitter timeline of accomplishments in her city:

“Since mid-April, the Navigation Team has referred 29 unsheltered individuals from the Ballard Commons area to recently opened tiny home villages and enhanced shelter beds at Lake Union Village, T.C. Spirit Village, and Lakefront Community House.”

As of 2018 there were over 12,000 homeless people in Seattle. The city has a population of just over 600,000. The city managed to refer 29 “unsheltered” people to tine home villages. You do the math.

The good mayor also sent out this tweet to apparently help somehow help small businesses impacted by the mandated shutdown:

“Nearly 5,000 businesses responded to round one of the COVID-19 Business Impact Survey. Round two is now open! Respond by May 21: https://bit.ly/3deWLii #SupportSeattleSmallBiz @SeattleChamber”

One problem when you click on the Seattle OED link: 404 – File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.”

But it’s all good because of course, a hashtag: #WeGotThisSeattle!

No parks for you!

But room for you!/Q13 Fox photo

Chiraq moves Wuhan virus goal post from “flatten the curve” to a measurement of seven factors

Mayor Lightfoot (r) poses with her stylist after SHE was ALLOWED a hair cut, while violating her own social distancing rules

Washington state announced a four-phase plan to safely re-open their state which the Gov. Inslee dubbed, “Safe Start.”

Of course the “Safe Start” plan to re-open is much more complicated than the quick decision to shutdown the state and order residents to stay home. Yet Chiraq has got Washington State beat in their approach to re-open…

Mayor Lori Lightfoot and the Chicago Department of Public Health announced a new five-phase plan to re-open their city. From the press release:

“The framework – organized into five phases in alignment with the State of Illinois’ “Restore Illinois” plan – will advise Chicagoans on how to safely exit from shelter-in-place while continuing to prioritize the health of our most vulnerable residents.”

Guess what the name of this five-phase plan is? I hope you’re not drinking a beverage when you read this: “Protecting Chicago.”

The five phases include:

PHASE ONE: STRICT STAY-AT-HOME
PHASE TWO: STAY-AT-HOME
PHASE THREE: CAUTIOUSLY REOPEN
PHASE FOUR: GRADUALLY RESUME
PHASE FIVE: PROTECT

The original goal of “flatten the curve” has now morphed into the following seven requirements to transition from Phase 2 to Phase 3:

COVID-19 Case Rate (over 14 days, as a rolling average):Declining rate of new cases, based on incidence and/or percent positivity
Severe Outcome Rate (over 14 days, as a rolling average): Stable or declining rates of cases resulting in hospitalization, ICU admission, and/or death
Hospital Capacity Citywide (over 14 days, as a rolling average): Hospital beds: <1800 COVID patients, ICU beds: <600 COVID patients, Ventilators: <450 COVID patients •Testing Capacity: Test at least 5% of Chicago residents per month
Testing Percent Positivity Rates (over 14 days, as a rolling average):Congregate: <30% positive tests; Community: <15% positive tests •Syndromic Surveillance (over 14 days, as a rolling average): Declining emergency department visits for influenza-like illness and/or COVID-like illness
Case Investigation & Contact Tracing:Expanded system in place for congregate and community investigations and contact tracing

Read the whole press release and five-phase plan here.

Meanwhile, while the good mayor is oh-so-concerned with protecting Chiraq, the criminals keep up their business:

Chiraq’s criminals violate stay at home order: 21 shot, 7 killed last Tuesday in most violent day of 2020
Wuhan virus ain’t stopping Chiraq shootings: 22 wounded, 1 killed this past weekend

And this is happening: “Chicago hides names of released prisoners from police

Way to “protect” Chicago.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot Warns Stay-At-Home Violators: ‘We Will Take You To Jail, Period!’

From the mayor who violated her own social distancing rules in order to get HER hair cut. After all, SHE’S in the public eye so she be special.

She states that if you violate the “law,” you will be taken to jail. PERIOD.

I’m curious as to which LAW the good mayor will cite if you violate a stay at home ORDER.

Meanwhile in Chiraq: “4 dead, 30 hurt in Chicago weekend shootings so far

And this: “Illinois releases 146 sex offenders, including 3 sexually dangerous persons

Seems the REAL criminals in Chiraq and Illinois are the ones getting a free pass.

Welcome to the new America under the Wuhan virus tyranny.

Committed to public health: Washington State governor extends “stay at home order” while homeless in Seattle free to set up camps at every street corner

Demorat Governor and failed presidential candidate Jay Inslee issued a “Stay at Home” order for Washington on March 23. This past Wednesday he confirmed that the order would continue beyond May 4, He did not indicate when that order would be lifted and is expected to provide more details today.

Guarantee you it will go on and on and on.

He also thanked Washingtonians for their commitment to public health, despite an upheaval to daily life.

Want to know exactly HOW committed the governor is himself to public health? Just take a look at what is going on in Seattle (specifically, the Ballard area): The city has paused the cleanup of homeless encampments sweeps.

Here’s a picture of what is going on in downtown Ballard, courtesy of Rob Harwood who shared them with Jason Rantz of MyNorthwest.com. See all the pictures here.

Homeless tents set up along a street in Ballard (Seattle)/Rob Harwood photo

Due to the Wuhan virus, the city is not making homeless encampments disappear. The homeless are free to set up tents where ever they want. Tell me how homeless people, without access to proper hygiene facilities, are positively contributing to “public health?”

Are the homeless disposing of their trash properly? Are they using restroom facilities or the streets? Are they able to wash their hands? Do they have to wear masks?

And of course with more homeless comes crime. It’s so bad that some residents are suggesting that one arm themselves (always a good idea, IMO). They don’t feel safe in their own neighborhoods. Read that story at KOMO News here.

Washingtonians are ordered to stay home while the homeless and criminals are set free. That’s how they protect public health!

Seattle Mayor Durkan says economic recovery will be made with an eye towards “equity” and “social justice”

On Tuesday Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan tweeted the following:

“As a City, we are rethinking how City government can respond to the urgent needs of our community & create a foundation for recovery, and our decisions about our emergency response and economic recovery will be made thoughtfully, with an eye towards equity and social justice.”

Because those who are unemployed or were forced to close their small business are really concerned with social justice rather than paying their mortgage or feeding their families.

The mayor’s office prepared a new economic forecast in response to the Wuhan virus in which they predict the impacts to the City budget will range from $210 million to $300 million. If their forecasting capabilities are anything like IHME, the city will be WAY OFF target.

Want to know what the city is doing to help prepare for their impending, massive decrease in revenues? They’ve implemented a hiring freeze, a freeze on contracts and expenses not related to COVID-19 or essential services and “curtailing” discretionary spending not related to COVID-19 response or mitigation.

Heaven forbid the city look into furloughing non-essential workers in order to curtail spending. After all, #WereAllInThisTogether, right?

The city of Seattle (population roughly almost 750,000) has nearly 10,000 employees. How does their bureaucrat expenditures compare with those of other large cities? Let’s take a look, shall we?

According to Ballotpedia (data from 2015), the average spent per citizen in the largest 100 cities was $2,605. The median city budget in the largest 100 cities was $800 million.

The city of Seattle spent an average of $6,744 per citizen and their budget was $4,400 million. See the statistics from Ballotpedia here.

The city of Seattle’s 2019-2020 total budget was $5.9 billion.

Jobless claims in King County have been 40,000 or more per week since the stay at home order issued by Gov. Jay Inslee. The number of City of Seattle employees who were furloughed? ZERO.

In 2017, full-time Seattle city workers earned a median of $99,184 in salary and overtime, a 12 percent increase over five years, remaining above the median household income for city residents of about $80,000.

How “equitable.”

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan
