Hypocrite: Champagne-socialist millionaire Bernie Sanders donated less than 1% of his income to charity

Although Joe Biden is the leading Demonrat candidate in the 2020 presidential race, according to a Franklin Pierce University/Boston Herald Poll released yesterday, a new poll shows that Senator Bernie Sanders (Vt) now leads the field in New Hampshire. There the self-described Democratic socialist has the support of 29% of likely Democratic primary voters.

Bernie Sanders’ supporters and Democrat voters in general should know, if they don’t already, Bernie is a “Do as I say, not as I do” hypocrite. Alas, I don’t hold out much hope because we have survey statistical data that his supporters are low information voters.

How is Bernie Sanders the socialist a hypocrite? Let me count the ways:

  1. Though an advocate of socialism — which Karl Marx defined as an political-economic system that would abolish private property ownership so as to redistribute and equalize wealth — who claims to speak for the 99% and rants against the super rich one-percenters, Bernie is himself a millionaire who owns three homes and drives a $140,000 Audi R8.
    1. Tellingly, Bernie bought his third home — a $600,000 lakefront summer home in North Hero, Vermont, with 4 bedrooms and 500 ft. of Lake Champlain beachfront — just 5 days after the 2016 Democratic National Convention in which he sold out his supporters by enthusiastically endorsing Hillary Clinton.
  2. Though a proponent of $15/hr minimum wage, Bernie pays his staff poverty wages.
  3. Though an environmentalist who preaches about global-warming climate-change, Bernie flew first-class to the May 2019 Demonrat primary debate in Miam, while his wife flew coach — which makes him a sexist as well as a hypocrite.

The latest Bernie hypocrisy is that not only is he a socialist millionaire (an oxymoron!), he is also miserly and stingy toward the poor and needy.

On Sept. 8, Charlie Kirk, the founder and president of the conservative non-profit Turning Point USA (TPUSA), the conservative non-profit organization that maintains a Professor Watchlist on college professors who discriminates against conservative students and advances left-wing propaganda in the classroom, tweeted that Bernie Sanders made more than a million dollars in 2016, but donated less than 1% of his considerable income to charity:

Bernie Sanders: My administration would feature population control to fight climate change

At least he’s admitting what we all know: Demorats do use abortion as a means of birth control.

Margaret Sanger would be so proud.

Hollyweird libtard Scarlett Johansson endorses Warren; claims demorat isn’t making “crazy, outlandish promises that seem impossible to reach”

From Daily Mail: Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has snagged the endorsement of actress Scarlett Johansson, the highest-banking actress in Hollywood.

Johansson, who has played a role in prior presidential election efforts, is not only providing campaign cash but defending the progressive firebrand’s proposals as ‘realistic’ and achievable.

‘She feels like someone who is thoughtful and progressive but realistic,’ Johansson told the Hollywood Reporter. She referenced Warren’s policy-heavy campaign as she battles Sen. Bernie Sanders for support among the party’s left wing.

She has been gaining on former Vice President Joe Biden, who is stressing his ability to beat President Trump while Warren and Sanders push ‘Medicare for All’ plans.

‘It’s not like her campaign is making these crazy, outlandish promises that seem impossible to reach. There’s a strategy there,’ Johansson said of Warren.

Johansson is also vowing to make further public efforts in the election – though stopped short of saying she would take more public actions during the primaries, such as hosting a fundraiser or appearing on the stump with Warren.

She made the comments last month on the set of Marvel’s Avengers spinoff, Black Widow, outside London.

‘Other Democrats have said to me, ‘Oh, it’s really early to back someone,’ she told the publication. ‘That kind of worries me because it doesn’t feel that early to me. I’m like, “Really?” It’s disconcerting that’s there’s not a clear candidate at this time.’

She is one of a handful of celebs who maxed out to Warren in time for her June campaign finance report. Others included Bette Midler, Jane Fonda, and Disney’s Jeffrey Katzenberg, the Hill reported.

In 2018, Johansson was part of an innuendo-filled PSA for March for Our Lives and We Stand United called ‘First Time’ that encouraged people to vote by having celebrities share tidbits about their first experience at the ballot back.

‘I was nervous,’ Johansson said with a sly smile on her face. This presidential cycle, ‘I’ll be there however I’m needed,’ Johansson said.

‘If I can help with voter engagement, whether it’s doing some sort of PSA campaign or actively trying to involve people in the process of registering and voting. I really believe if people actually did vote, our government would look the way it’s supposed to, but people just don’t vote. It baffles me.’

Johansson backed Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The actress also continued to stand by director Woody Allen, who helped launch her blockbuster career, and who faces accusations of sexual abuse by daughter Dylan Farrow that he denies.

‘I see Woody whenever I can, and I have had a lot of conversations with him about it. I have been very direct with him, and he’s very direct with me. He maintains his innocence, and I believe him,’ Johansson told the publication.

Bernie Sanders vs. Punching Bag

And punching bag wins.

Are all male Democrat politicians dweebs?

Remember these images of Barack Obama doing the reverse fly in a Warsaw hotel gym in 2014? (See “This is how the Commander In Chief works out in the gym“)

2020: President Trump is getting more donations than Democrats in blue-state Washington

If we are to believe polls, according to a new Fox News poll of 1,013 registered voters released last Thursday, August 15, 2019, each one of the top four Democratic presidential candidates would defeat President Trump in the 2020 election if it were held today (Daily Wire):

  • Joe Biden (50%), Donald Trump (38%)
  • Bernie Sanders (48%), Donald Trump (39%)
  • Kamala Harris (45%), Donald Trump (39%)
  • Elizabeth Warren (46%), Donald Trump (39%)

What is more interesting and more believable than the Fox News poll is this astounding news from Seattle Times, August 16, 2019, about blue-city Seattle and blue-state Washington:

  • President Trump has received more donations from residents of Washington than the top six Democrats combined.
  • With nearly 15 months to go before the 2020 election, Trump has received more donations from Seattle residents than he did during the entire 2016 campaign.

Some of Trump’s big Washington donors are:

  • Seattle property manager Suzie Burke donated $375.
  • Billionaire investment adviser Ken and Sherrilyn Fisher each gave the maximum $5,600.
  • Daryl Miller, Fischer Plumbing CEO who is on the board of Seattle Pacific University donated $5,600.
  • Seattle developer Martin Selig donated $5,600.

Seattle Times reporter Danny Westneat, who calls Trump’s behavior “increasingly unhinged,” points out that:

I’m not talking about total dollars raised — though on that front Trump is a juggernaut, too. But the total number of donations reflects how many people are inspired enough by a candidate to send any amount of money, sometimes repeatedly….

Well, now Trump, of all candidates, has nearly three times as many donations from Washington state as Bernie Sanders does. The Vermont senator has 8,080 itemized donations here, while Trump has the most ever recorded at this point in an election, by any candidate in either party21,657.

What’s more, these are “itemized donations” — meaning the donors were required to list their names, occupations and addresses, and risk the backlash….

So you can look through the list and see that just in Seattle, Trump has the support of a seamstress, an airline pilot, a crane operator, a teacher, a nurse, a city of Seattle firefighter, a UW professor, a longshoreman and about a thousand others. In total they’ve given $93,042.

Past this point of the last campaign, Trump had only six donations from Seattle — and when The Seattle Times contacted the donors, two said they wanted their money back….

Already Trump has surpassed his total 2016 pool of donors from Washington state, by 31%.

So what, you may be saying, Trump’s not going to win out here anyway. True. But when your fundraising is breaking records, it indicates an intense passion for the candidate, as it did for Bernie Sanders. That counts for a ton in politics — and likely means Trump is stronger right now than his dismal polls indicate.

The Seattle Times‘ article is closed to comments “due to a high number of comments that violated our terms of service,” whatever that means.

Socialist utopia of Berkeley: # of homeless rose 13% in 2 years; woman walking her dog raped in broad daylight

Already a bastion of the Left, in 2016 Berkeley, CA, a “sanctuary” city, tilted further to the left when residents voted as mayor 32-year-old Jesse Arreguín, who had no prior government or administrative experience and had never held a private-sector job.

Jesse Arreguín (l) was endorsed by socialist Bernie Sanders (Photo courtesy of Arreguín; Source:  Berkeleyside)

Although Arreguin is a homeless advocate “passionately committed to social justice,” Berkeley’s homeless marked his election as mayor by smearing feces on and around city hall.

Under Arreguin’s far-left city government, Berkeley’s homeless population increased 13% in just two years. City Councilwoman Sophie Hahn actually celebrates the increase as good news. She wrote:

Oakland [is] up 47%. Countywide 43%. SF up 30%. Berkeley [is] only up 13%. That means we are growing at less than half the rate of SF and about ¼ the rate of Oakland. That’s not random. I have a lot of confidence in our strategies.

Along with the number of homeless, Berkeley’s crime rate and pedestrian and bicyclist deaths/injuries have soared. People sitting in cafés and walking in streets are regularly robbed of their laptop computers and cell phones, often in broad daylight. In 9 out of 10 cases where photos are posted, the robbers and muggers are young black men.

A recent incident is particularly galling.

As reported by Emilie Raguso for Berkeleyside, on the morning of Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at around 7:30 a.m., a woman walking her dog near the infamous  People’s Park about 3-4 blocks from the U.C. Berkeley campus in an area of student residential housing, was approached by a man armed with a gun.

The man, later identified as 36-year-old Demetrius Johnson, took the woman’s phone and forced her to go with him to a secluded location where he “sexually assaulted” her, according to Officer Byron White of the Berkeley Police Department.

White said officers responded quickly and arrested Johnson “as he was running away” on suspicion of forced oral copulation, kidnapping with intent to commit a sex crime and robbery. The unnamed woman was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation

Police say Johnson’s address is “unknown” — which means he’s homeless. He is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without bail, and is scheduled for arraignment today at the Wiley Manuel Courthouse in Oakland.

Reporter Emilie Raguso wrote in a comment: “Just wanted to clarify that this was a sexual assault — not rape.”

Such ignorance.

Forced oral copulation is rape. In 2012, the Department of Justice updated the legal definition of rape as:

The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.

A Berkeleyside reader, anposter, actually feels sorry for the rapist. Anposter wrote:

I do have empathy for the sexual assaulter. He is a victim of a society which increasingly views people like him not as a brother in our larger human family but as a pawn in our culture wars. I don’t know Mr Johnson or anything about him or his history as an individual. I can only comment on what I see as the social dimension of these sadly common stories. Rather than using the plights of both Mr Johnson and his victims as impetus to address the proximal causes effecting his personal development and antisocial values, he is either dismissed as a hopeless criminal deserving of complete removal from society, or provided excuses, encouraged to define his identity entirely along tribal lines, and utilized as a martyr in our growing war on human commonality.

With voters like anposter, you can be sure Berkeley will continue to vote radical leftists into government, whose priority is to impeach President Trump and ban the word “manholes”, and who care more about outlaws than the wellbeing of law-abiding taxpayers.

To paraphrase French philosopher/diplomat Count Joseph-Marie de Maistre (1763-1821): “Every people have the government they deserve”.
