See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God. And so we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed. We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope based on him makes himself pure, as he is pure…. No one who remains in him sins; no one who sins has seen him or known him. Children, let no one deceive you. The person who acts in righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous. Whoever sins belongs to the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. Indeed, the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil…. In this way, the children of God and the children of the devil are made plain; no one who fails to act in righteousness belongs to God, nor anyone who does not love his brother…. Do not be amazed, [then,] brothers, if the world hates you…. [Now] this is how we shall know that we belong to the truth and reassure our hearts before him in whatever our hearts condemn, for God is greater than our hearts and knows everything. Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence in God and receive from him whatever we ask, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. And his commandment is this: we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another just as he commanded us. Those who keep his commandments remain in him, and he in them, and the way we know that he remains in us is from the Spirit he gave us.
Five days ago, we celebrated the Nativity of Jesus the Christ.
This Sunday’s reading from 1 John 3 is rich with joy, mystery, instruction, and warning.
We are joyful that we are the children of God, and intrigued by the promise that “what we shall be has not yet been revealed” and that when our time comes, we shall see God “as he is”.
How awesome is that!
But we are reminded that for this to happen, we must be pure, “belong to the truth” and keep His commandments, because “No one who remains in him sins”.
It is in so doing that we are true “children of God,” instead of “children of the devil”. But it is also precisely because we are “children of God” that we are hated by the world, which should neither surprise nor dishearten us, for being the object of the fallen world’s hatred and abuse means we are on the right path.
And so, the battle lines are drawn.
It isn’t and won’t be easy. We are and will be reviled and scorned, not because we’ve done something wrong, but precisely because we fight for truth instead of lies, good instead of evil.
And when our hopes are dashed and our spirits deflated, just remember this promise:
“Beloved, we are God’s children now;
what we shall be has not yet been revealed.
We do know that when it is revealed
we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he is.”
May the joy and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you,
No surprise there, given the recent and ongoing news about pedophile priests (even cardinals), and their enabling superiors.
Gallup has measured the public’s views of the honesty and ethical standards of a variety of occupations since 1976.
Before 1999, clergy members were frequently the most-highly rated professions for their ethics, but no more.
Megan Brenan writes for Gallup, Dec. 20, 2018, that Gallup has measured Americans’ views of the clergy’s honesty and ethics 34 times beginning in 1977. The high point was in 1985 when 67% of Americans rated the clergy very highly or highly.
This year, however, only 37% gave very high/high ratings on the clergy’s honesty and ethical standards — the lowest to date.
Positive views of the honesty and ethics of the clergy dropped in 2002 amid the first sexual abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church. Although positive ratings rebounded somewhat in the next few years, they fell to 50% in 2009 and have been steadily declining since 2012.
The latest low ratings of the clergy come on the heels of more investigations into child sex abuse by Catholic priests in the U.S. Currently, only 31% of Catholics and 48% of Protestants rate the clergy positively.
Here’s how other professions are regarded in Gallup’s recent poll (Dec. 3-12, 2018):
Nurses are the most well-regarded: More than 4 in 5 Americans (84%) rate the honesty and ethical standards of nurses as “very high” or “high,” earning them the top spot for the 17th consecutive year.
Four other professions are also rated as having “high” or “very high” honesty and ethical standards: medical doctors (67%), pharmacists (66%), high school teachers (60%) and police officers (54%).
12 occupations receive “average” ratings of 42% to 54% for their honesty and ethical standards. Among them are real estate agents (54%) and lawyers (51%).
Members of Congress are again held in the lowest esteem, worse than car salespeople and telemarketers. Nearly 58% of Americans rate their representatives in Congress as having “low” or “very low” ethical standards.
Incredibly, journalists are doing better: their 33% very high/high rating matches their record high in 1977 and is a 10 percentage point increase from two years ago in December 2016, when 41% of Americans held a negative opinion of their ethics. The rebounding of journalists is largely due to Democrats — yet another example of how Democrats and Republicans view reality very differently:
54% of Democrats gave very high/high ratings on journalists’ honesty, a 21-point increase since 2016.
Among political independents, roughly one-third each say journalists have high, average and low ethics.
Republicans‘ views are unchanged, with 61% giving journalists low ethics ratings.
William Nardi reports for The College Fix, Dec. 24, 2018, that a new student club, Satanic Students at NC State, just completed its inaugural semester at North Carolina State University (NCSU), a taxpayer-funded public university.
The mission of Satanic Students at NC State University is to 1) encourage benevolence and empathy among all people, 2) reject tyrannical authority, 3) advocate scientific examination of the universe and our place in it, 4) promote morality and justice based on rational, humanistic values, and 5) be directed by the human conscience to undertake noble pursuits guided by the individual will.
According to Technician, the official student newspaper of NC State University, a recent slide presentation at a Satanic Students meeting denied that the club worships Satan because “Satan doesn’t exist”.
That doesn’t make any sense. If the Satanic Students at NC State believe Satan doesn’t exist, then why call the club “Satanic”?
The satanic club’s founder and president is Peter Aker, a third-year studying chemical engineering. He said the purpose of the club is not to be inflammatory or to promote any particular system of beliefs, but that “Satanism is more of a philosophy and ideology, and not so much a religion. We don’t believe in a literal Satan. Instead, we use its philosophy and the symbology behind it to form our opinions on the way the world should go.”
Aker claims his club has “the same amount of validity” as other religious groups on campus, but has a better message — “It’s more modern. It’s less restrictive and puritan. We don’t preach that you’re going to go to Hell if you do bad things … What matters is what you do here, while you’re alive.”
In other words, it’s the same old Aleister Crowleyism — Do As Thou Will.
Aker admitted that his club’s five-part mission statement is based loosely off of the seven tenets of The Satanic Temple, which Aker lauds for advocating topics such as women’s reproductive rights that was promoted by several of the temple’s chapters as “Menstruatin’ With Satan,” in which feminine health care products were collected and redistributed to communities in need.
Alec Nabinger, a fourth-year student studying sustainable materials and technology, described some of Satanic Students’ principles to which he was drawn when he joined the club: “It’s more of just, the Satanic ideals of bodily autonomy, knowledge through science, accountability.”
Aker said the club has 8 members.
A 2017 column in Crisis Magazine addressed the rise of “Satanism” groups in America (Breitbart):
The real issue is all about the mainstreaming of Satanism in America. Much as the same-sex ‘marriage’ debate was about acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle, so also Satanic groups seek social acceptance. Indeed, this is what the Satanists themselves declare. For them, it has nothing to do with religious practices. Many of them even allege they have none. They simply want to mainstream Satanism so that it will be viewed as normal.
California News Wire Services reports that on November 8, 2018, Dr. Bayard Allmond, an 84-year-old Berkeley pediatrician with 54 years of experience, pleaded no contest ahead of a scheduled January 2 sentencing for his conviction on a felony count of sending harmful matter to a teenage boy with sexual intent.
In exchange, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office agreed to:
Dismiss three other counts involving the boy: misdemeanor child molestation, felony sexual battery for false professional purposes, and misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a patient.
Three years’ probation for Allmond, and the surrender of his medical license and abandoning his practice.
Allmond was arrested on Dec. 14, 2017, at his Berkeley home on Hillcrest Drive where he also has his medical practice.
Three of the charges against Allmond stem from alleged actions in 2016, when Allmond was 82 years old. Berkeley police Officer Darren Kacalek wrote in a probable cause statement that the boy told police that, beginning when he was 16, he made visits to Allmond to receive therapy for anxiety and panic. The boy told investigators that three or four months into the therapy sessions, Allmond began showing him explicit photos of men masturbating and later used images and pornographic videos to show him how sex is performed between men.
Officer Kacalek wrote that when Allmond was arrested on Dec. 14, 2017, he “admitted to engaging in sexual acts with the victim inside his office,” that “what he did was wrong,” that he showed poor judgment, and that “he regretted the incident.”
Allmond’s lawyer, Paul Wolf, says the criminal complaint against Allmond contains “provocative allegations,” many of which “cannot be proven and are not true.” Wolf calls Allmond “an 84-year-old man who has an extraordinary reputation and is generally loved and admired professionally,” who “has worked well with hundreds of patients,” and whose behavior with the teenage boy was “aberrant.”
Court records indicate that the victim’s family isn’t happy with the way Allmond’s case was resolved.
I hope the boy’s family bring a civil suit against Bayard Allmond.
Update (Jan. 4, 2019)
The victim, now a 20-year-old college student, had agreed to Allmond’s plea deal because he didn’t want his parents and the public to find out about what happened.
Recently, however, his parents found out about the case because the victim and his father share the same name and the father inadvertently opened a letter about the case that probation officials sent to the family’s home.
The upshot: A family discussion took place and the victim is now free from shame and wants jail time for Allmond. The victim, who is suffering from PTSD, asks to postpone Allmond’s sentencing until Feb. 15, at which time the victim will come to court to make his case. (Source)

On December 16, 2018, Kolfage created a GoFundMe to raise funds for the US-Mexico border wall. In just a week, he’s raised a phenomenal $16½ million toward the stated goal of $1 billion.
Kolfage and his family are getting vicious hate mail and death threats from leftists. The leaders of the jackals are ABC latenight talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel, has-been actress Alyssa Milano, and the Daily Beast.
Yesterday, Kolfage posted this update on the border wall GoFundMe page:
Attacks on my family-
Just want to let you guys know everything is ok with us. After Jimmy Kimmel and Alyssa Milano came after me personally it triggered an outpouring of attacks. People have been calling for the death of my wife and children; it will not be tolerated. Please do your best to report anything you see like this to the proper authorities.
Deranged leftists have been sending triple-amputee veteran Brian Kolfage mountains of abuse after he was trashed by the Daily Beast, Jimmy Kimmel, Alyssa Milano and other high-profile liberals.
The hate mail provided to the Gateway Pundit contains appalling statements such as people asking if his brain was “amputated too,” calling him a “handicapped bitch,” telling him to commit suicide, wishing harm upon his children and mocking him for having lost his limbs while fighting for this nation….
On Thursday, Kimmel used his show to trash the nearly 260,000 people who have donated nearly $16 million to the GoFundMe in less than a week, calling them “dopey people” and saying that they are “dipping into their meth money.”
Dozens of examples of the vitriol and threats were provided to the Gateway Pundit, some of which we are now publishing — unedited.
Below is a sample of the hate mail sent to Kolfage (source: Gateway Pundit):
Ralph Cramden <RalphCramden@protonmail.com>: “Really dude? So you’re a far right wing ahole who pushed fake news? WTF is wrong with you? Was your brain amputated too? I don’t know how that blonde c*nt you’re married to stays with you?! A hot piece of ass like that should be screwing a real man.”
Walter Ancarrow: “Hi, was one of the limbs you had amputated your brain?”
Peter Lopez <firstname.lastname@example.org>: “What’s up handicapped bitch just wanted to say I’m happy to see you in that wheel chair and I’m happy to know you get no pussy why do you make it look like your standing up in your photo you dumb fuck you got no legs I LMAO LOOKING LIKE DARTH VADER AND SHIT WELL AT LEAST I CAN HAVE IN MIND YOUR A CRIPPLED BICTH WITH NO LEGS OR ARMS HAHAHAHAHAH”

Cathy Garcia Cruz <firstname.lastname@example.org>, Muleshoe, Texas:”You sick n pathetic! No wonder u lost ur limbs in Iraq. Setting up the gofundme for the wall?? I hope someone sets one up to blow the wall up!”
Janet Trejo: “Piece of shit that’s why you have no legs mothafucker”
Jacob Riley: “i hope u lose both of your arms as well.”
Josh Cobean, St. Petersburg, FL: “You’re a disgrace to this country. Delete the GoFundMe and kill yourself. That’s the best way to serve your country at this point.”
Mike <email@example.com>: “Are you really this fucking dumb? Holy shit that’s fucking embarrassing. Kill yourself you worthless pile of shit.”
Alec Giusti: “go fuck yourself and die”
Abelitro Cruz: “eat a dick pussy ass white trash / hope you and your family dies a slow and painful death”
Johnson & Johnson (J&J) is an American multinational medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturing company founded in 1886. With worldwide sales of $70.1 billion in 2015, J&J is headquartered in New Brunswick, NJ, and includes some 250 subsidiary companies with operations in 60 countries and products sold in over 175 countries.
Among J&J’s well-known consumer products are Band-Aid bandages, Tylenol, Neutrogena skin and beauty products, Acuvue contact lenses, and Johnson’s baby products, including Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder, 70% of which is used by adults, according to the company.
Johnson’s Baby Powder grew out of a line of medicated plasters — sticky rubber strips loaded with mustard and other home remedies. When customers complained of skin irritation, J&J’s founding brothers sent packets of talc. Soon, mothers began applying the talc to infants’ diaper-chafed skin. The Johnsons took note. They sifted the talc into tin boxes and added a fragrance that would become one of the most recognizable in the world. In 1893, they began selling it as Johnson’s Baby Powder.
J&J has dominated the talc powder market for more than 100 years, its sales outpacing those of all competitors combined, according to Euromonitor International data. And while talc products contributed just $420 million to J&J’s $76.5 billion in revenue last year, Baby Powder is considered an essential facet of J&J’s carefully tended image as a caring company – a “sacred cow,” as one 2003 internal email put it. (Reuters)
Decades of solid science show that asbestos, a naturally-occurring silicate mineral, causes mesothelioma and is associated with ovarian and other cancers. Talc can sometimes be contaminated with asbestos due to the proximity of asbestos ore (usually tremolite) in underground talc deposits.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and other authorities recognize no safe level of exposure to asbestos. WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer classifiestalc that contains asbestos as “carcinogenic to humans.” While most people exposed never develop cancer, for some, even small amounts of asbestos are enough to trigger the disease years later. Just how small hasn’t been established.
There are many lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson claiming that its talcum powder products, like Baby Powder and Shower to Shower, gave users cancer. Most of the talc cases have been brought by women with ovarian cancer who say they regularly used J&J talc products as a perineal antiperspirant and deodorant. As examples:
In February 2016, J&J was ordered to pay $72 million in damages to the family of 62-year-old Jacqueline Fox, who died of ovarian cancer in 2015.
By March 2017, over 1,000 U.S. women had sued J&J for covering up the possible cancer risk of its Baby Powder product.
In August 2017, a California jury ordered J&J to pay $417 million to a woman who claimed she developed ovarian cancer after using the company’s talc-based products like Johnson’s Baby Powder for feminine hygiene.
In July 2018, a St. Louis jury awarded nearly US$4.7 billion in damages to 22 women and their families after they claimed asbestos in J&J talcum powder caused their ovarian cancer.
By December 2018, some 11,700 people have sued J&J over cancers allegedly caused by its baby powder.
Lisa Girion reports for Reuters, Dec. 14, 2018, that internal J&J documents examined by Reuters show that the company’s powder was sometimes tainted with carcinogenic asbestos and that J&J concealed that information from government regulators and the public.
And yet, we are constantly being told there are no conspiracies and that “conspiracy theorists” are loony.
After avoiding to hand over talc test results and other internal company records for decades, J&J finally was compelled to share thousands of pages of company memos, internal reports and other confidential documents with lawyers for some of the 11,700 plaintiffs suing the company, including thousands of women with ovarian cancer.
A Reuters examination of many of those documents, as well as deposition and trial testimony, shows that:
From at least 1971 to the early 2000s, J&J’s raw talc and finished powders sometimes tested positive for small amounts of asbestos, and that company executives, mine managers, scientists, doctors and lawyers fretted over the problem and how to address it while failing to disclose it to regulators or the public.
J&J successfully influenced U.S. regulators’ plans to limit asbestos in cosmetic talc products and scientific research on the health effects of talc.
Many of the documents were shielded from public view by court orders that allowed J&J to turn over thousands of documents it designated as confidential.
The earliest mentions of tainted J&J talc are in 1957 and 1958 reports by a consulting lab, describing contaminants in talc from J&J’s Italian supplier as fibrous and “acicular” needle-like tremolite. Tremolite is one of the six minerals that in their naturally occurring fibrous form are classified as asbestos.
From 1957 to the early 2000s, reports by J&J’s scientists, supplier and outside labs yielded similar findings, describing contaminants in J&J talc and finished powder products as asbestos or “fiberform” and “rods” — terms that typically apply to asbestos.
In 1971, New York City’s environmental protection chief, Jerome Kretchmer, informed the Nixon administration and called a press conference to announce that two unidentified brands of cosmetic talc appeared to contain asbestos. The FDA opened an inquiry. J&J issued a statement: “Our fifty years of research knowledge in this area indicates that there is no asbestos contained in the powder manufactured by Johnson & Johnson.”
In 1976, J&J assured the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that no asbestos was “detected in any sample” of talc produced between December 1972 and October 1973 when, in fact, at least three tests by three different labs from 1972 to 1975 had found asbestos in its talc – in one case at levels reported as “rather high.”
J&J, through its outside litigation counsel Peter Bicks, rejected Reuters’ findings as “false and misleading.” Bicks wrote in email: “The scientific consensus is that the talc used in talc-based body powders does not cause cancer, regardless of what is in that talc. This is true even if – and it does not – Johnson & Johnson’s cosmetic talc had ever contained minute, undetectable amounts of asbestos.”
In 1980, J&J began offering a cornstarch version of Baby Powder – to expand its customer base to people who prefer cornstarch, the company says.
Since 2003, talc in Baby Powder sold in the United States has come from Chinathrough supplier Imerys Talc America, a unit of Paris-based Imerys SA and a co-defendant in most of the talc litigation. Imerys and J&J said the Chinese talc is safe. An Imerys spokesman said the company’s tests “consistently show no asbestos. Talc’s safe use has been confirmed by multiple regulatory and scientific bodies.”
In 2009, the FDA, responding to growing public concern about talc, commissioned tests on 34 samples, including a bottle of J&J Baby Powder and samples of Imerys talc from China. No asbestos was detected.
In August 2018, J&J said that it removed several chemicals from baby powder products and re-engineered them to make consumers more confident that products were safer for children.
The mounting controversy surrounding J&J talc hasn’t shaken investors. J&J’s share price is up about 6% so far this year. Talc cases make up fewer than 10% of all personal injury lawsuits pending against J&J, based on the company’s Aug. 2 quarterly report, in which the company said it believed it had “strong grounds on appeal.”
J&J Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alex Gorsky has pledged to fight on, telling analysts in July: “We remain confident that our products do not contain asbestos.” Gorsky’s comment, echoed in countless J&J statements, misses a crucial point. Asbestos, like many environmental carcinogens, has a long latency period. Diagnosis usually comes years after initial exposure – 20 years or longer for mesothelioma. J&J talc products today may be safe, but the talc at issue in thousands of lawsuits was sold and used over the past 60 years.
On Wednesday, December 19, Johnson & Johnson failed to persuade Missouri trial Judge Rex Burlison to set aside a verdict awarding a record $4.69 billion in punitive and compensatory damages to 22 women who blamed their ovarian cancer on asbestos in the company’s Baby Powder and other talc products.
J&J shares were off about 1% at $128.93 in afternoon trading. The company in a statement said J&J would appeal. (Reuters)

I stopped watching Woody Allen movies years ago, after his girlfriend of 12 years, Mia Farrow — with whom he had a biological child, Ronan, and adopted two others — discovered evidence of Allen (then 56) screwing her 22-year-old adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn. Allen never expressed regret or remorse about his conduct, which a judge called “grossly inappropriate.”
Ronan Farrow said about Allen, 83: “He’s my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression.”
In 2010, Allen told the Spanish-language magazine La Vanguardia: “It would be good…if (Obama) could be dictator for a few years because he could do a lot of good things quickly. I am pleased with Obama. I think he is brilliant. The Republican Party should get out of his way and stop trying to hurt him.”
In 1992, Mia accused Allen of sexually molesting 7-year-old Dylan Farrow, Mia’s adopted daughter whom Allen had legally adopted as his own. In retaliation, Allen sued for full custody of Ronan and two of Farrow’s adopted children, Dylan and Moses, with whom Allen had assumed a parental role.
Dr. John Leventhal, the lead doctor of Yale–New Haven Hospital Child Sexual Abuse Clinic’s investigation into the sex-abuse allegations who did not meet with Dylan but used only interviews conducted by others, testified in a sworn deposition that, in his opinion, Dylan “either invented the story under the stress of living in a volatile and unhealthy home or that it was planted in her mind by her mother”.
In June 1993, the presiding judge, Elliott Wilk, rejected Allen’s bid for full custody and denied him visitation rights with Dylan because Allen’s behavior toward Dylan was “grossly inappropriate” and “measures must be taken to protect her”. (Wikipedia)
Dylan Farrow has consistently and persistently maintained that Allen indeed sexually molested her.
On February 1, 2014, in an open letter in the New York Times, Dylan, who is now married and living in Florida under a different name, wrote:
For as long as I could remember, my father had been doing things to me that I didn’t like. I didn’t like how often he would take me away from my mom, siblings and friends to be alone with him. I didn’t like it when he would stick his thumb in my mouth. I didn’t like it when I had to get in bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear. I didn’t like it when he would place his head in my naked lap and breathe in and breathe out. I would hide under beds or lock myself in the bathroom to avoid these encounters, but he always found me….
Woody Allen was never convicted of any crime. That he got away with what he did to me haunted me as I grew up. I was stricken with guilt that I had allowed him to be near other little girls. I was terrified of being touched by men. I developed an eating disorder. I began cutting myself. That torment was made worse by Hollywood. All but a precious few (my heroes) turned a blind eye. Most found it easier to…pretend that nothing was wrong. Actors praised him at awards shows. Networks put him on TV. Critics put him in magazines.
Now, Dylan is corroborated by another underage victim of Woody Allen, Babi Christina Engelhardt.
Gary Baum reports for The Hollywood Reporter, Dec. 17, 2018, that in October 1976, blonde, emerald-eyed aspiring model Engelhardt, 16, caught 41-year-old Woody Allen’s eye at New York City power restaurant Elaine’s.
Allen invited Engelhardt to his Fifth Avenue penthouse. He never asked her age, but she told him she was still in high school, living with her family in rural New Jersey. Within weeks, they’d become physically intimate at his place. She wouldn’t turn 17, legal in New York, until that December.
Sex with an underage girl is statutory rape.
Two of Engelhardt’s close friends from the period affirm they were aware of Engelhardt’s relationship with Allen at the time — one would even drop her off at his penthouse. Photographer Andrew Unangst, who was dining with her at Elaine’s the night she made her move on Allen, also says he knew about the long-running tryst. Engelhardt’s younger brother Mike remembers Allen calling their parents’ home: “I’d holler out, ‘Babi, it’s Woody!’ My brain didn’t think something romantic; I was 11 or 12 and a huge fan.”
Engelhardt has written an unpublished memoir of her time with Allen, in which she portrays a relationship of unequals. From their first rendezvous, terms were decreed by Allen. They could only meet at his place. By her count, on more than 100subsequent occasions, she’d visit him at his apartment at 930 Fifth Ave., where she’d invariably make her way to an upstairs bedroom facing Central Park.
About a year into the relationship, Allen occasionally began bringing in two other “beautiful young ladies” for threesomes. After they’d been “sleeping together” for four years, Allen beamingly announced that he wanted to introduce her to his new “girlfriend” — Mia Farrow. What followed was a “handful” of three-way sex sessions at Allen’s penthouse, where the three smoked joints and bonded over a shared fondness for animals. Engelhardt writes in her memoir:
There were times the three of us were together, and it was actually great fun…. It wasn’t until after it was done when I really had time to think of how twisted it was when we were together … and how I was little more than a plaything. While we were together, the whole thing was a game that was being operated solely by Woody so we never quite knew where we stood…. I used to think this was a form of mother-father with the two of them. To me, that whole relationship was very Freudian: how I admired them, how he’d already broken me in, how I let that be all right.
Engelhardt last heard from Allen in January 2001, when he sent her a letter thanking her for sending him a copy of a documentary she’d appeared in about the making of The Voice of the Moon, Fellini’s final film. Below is the letter:
Even with hindsight, though, Engelhardt is unwilling to indict Allen, who declined to comment for this story. She considered him then, and still considers him now, a Great Man. She said: “I’m not attacking Woody. This is not ‘bring down this man.’ I’m talking about my love story. This made me who I am. I have no regrets.”
Engelhardt and Dylan Farrow are not Woody Allen’s only victims.
If you are ever thinking of taking the child molester’s side because you want him to be able to work steadily or something, or don’t believe the victims, take a look at this from a mom who had a daughter working on one of his films. She enclosed a picture of how he had her dress on set from the actual set, but it is creepy and I don’t want her recognized.
I let my daughter work on ____________. She had done Broadway but this was her first feature, and it was literally just a feature background role. Non speaking. The child molester invited my daughter to eat lunch with him. She was 7 at the time. I’ve been on MANY sets. I have NEVER seen a director ask a background actor to lunch, let alone a child.
Cafe Society/Woody Allen
After years of looking the other way, it appears Hollywood is finally ostracizing Woody Allen:
In October 2017, the red carpet premiere for Allen’s Amazon Studios release Wonder Wheelwas canceled. Amazon has also cut off financing for Allen’s next movie.
n January 2018, the entertainment section of Canada’s largest newspaper, The (Toronto) Star, ran an AP article detailing how many in the movie business regret having worked with Woody Allen, and having given him a pass.
In January 2018, two stars of Allen’s A Rainy Day in New York — Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Hall (who previously had appeared in Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona) — apologized for working on it and donated their salaries to anti-harassment organizations.
A Rainy Day in New York, originally expected to debut this year, is still without a release date.
Pro-lifers call abortion an abuse of human rights.
As an example, reacting to the recent news that new justice Brett Kavanaugh had cast the deciding vote against the Supreme Court taking up appeals from Kansas and Louisiana to remove Planned Parenthood from Medicaid funding, March for Life president Jeanne Mancini said: “Abortion is not healthcare, it is a human rights abuse. Until Planned Parenthood ceases to perform abortions they should not receive any money from taxpayers.”
But if Democrats have their way, killing tiny innocent human beings would be called a “human right” — a perversion of the English language which exceeds even George Orwell’s Newspeak.
On December 10, 2018, Human Rights Day, Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Katherine M. Clark introduced H.R. 7228: Reproductive Rights are Human Rights Act of 2018. Clark said: “Documenting and reporting human rights violations is a major part of eradicating their existence. This bill would ensure that our State Department maintains its vital role as an international watchdog and protector of women’s rights no matter the ideology of our White House.”
The bill has 51 co-sponsors, all Democrats. Rep. Lois Frankel (D-Florida) said in a statement: “Women’s rights are human rights. There is no greater right for women than to be in charge of their own bodies.”
HR 7228‘s purpose is “To amend the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to include in the Annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices a section on reproductive rights”. “Reproductive rights,” in turn, are to include the right of “women and girls” across the world to “access…safe abortion services, in accordance with such country’s laws, including post-abortion care”.
Reporting for LifeNews on Dec. 11, Micaiah Bilger writes:
Responding to criticism about the report, the State Department said it is not “downgrading coverage of … women’s issues.” Rather, it now will focus on ending the most “egregious” of human rights abuses against women and families in the world, including forced abortion and sterilization.
Under the pro-abortion Obama administration, one section of the report was called “Reproductive Rights.” The Trump administration removed that section and added a new one called “Coercion in Population Control.” ….
“This erasure puts real lives in danger,” said NARAL President Ilyse Hogue. “Using backdoor tactics to erase all mention of reproductive rights—including abortion, contraception, and maternal mortality—from vital reports and resources in order to push an extreme, ideological agenda is a true testament to just how dangerous and corrupt this administration is.”
Planned Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights, NARAL and 42 other pro-abort oganizations endorsed HR 7228 and promoted it on social media in connection with Human Rights Day.
In a tweet, Planned Parenthood’s new president, Leana Wen, thanked the pro-abort House Democrats for introducing the bill.
Meanwhile, President Trump continues to keep his campaign promise to pro-lifers by:
A very disturbing video from the Michael Anderson Show. From his description:
“This video shows an activist group called “Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights” hosting a pro-abortion rally titled, “Holy Ground: Blessing the Sacred Space of Decision” at Your Choice Healthcare, a non-surgical abortion facility. The event consisted of calling on “God” (Satan or some sh*t to be honest) to bless abortions while praising those who perform the procedure,“We want to show there are people of faith who support bodily rights” said Elaina Ramsey, executive director of the organization. The group also plans to conduct these ceremonies at the six other abortion clinics in Ohio over the next year, according to The Columbus Dispatch.”
Another longtime American institution lost to pedophiles and the Left’s political correctness.
Founded in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the largest Scouting organizations and youth organizations in the United States. Boys are trained in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations. More than 110 million Americans have been participants in BSA programs at some time.
In recent years, BSA has been mired in controversy over the admission of LGBTs as scouts or adult leaders. On January 1, 2014, after major businesses like Intel, UPS and Merch severed their financial ties with the BSA over its decision to retain its policy prohibiting LGBT scouts and adults, BSA changed its policy. Henceforth, LGBTs are allowed, but any sexual conduct, whether heterosexual or homosexual, is not allowed. That, in turn, alienated some churches and conservative members who left the BSA for a new Christian scouting group, Trail Life USA.
Max Jaeger reports for the New York Post that sources told The Wall Street Journal that the Boy Scouts of America has hired Chicago law firm Sidley Austin for help in a potential Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
On December 12, 2018, BSA sent a letter to its employees that it plans to “explore all options available to ensure that the local and national programming of the Boy Scouts of America continues uninterrupted.”
BSA is overcome by an avalanche of problems, including:
A precipitous drop in membership of as many as two-thirds of its members — some 4 million boys — since the 1970s. In the last two years alone, the Mormon Church — BSA’s first partner — where scout membership had long been considered a rite of passage, pulled 610,000 scouts.
Dozens of sex abuse lawsuits, stemming from hundreds of claims of abuse in the ‘70s and ‘80s, including one filed by four former scouts who claim they were molested by scoutmaster Waldron Ackerman between 1974 and 1976. The plaintiffs claim that BSA was aware that scouting had become a “pedophile magnet” but didn’t take appropriate action to prevent abuse from occurring. Last year alone, BSA paid $7.6 million to an outside law firm to help fight its legal battles.
A lawsuit by the Girl Scouts this November for trademark infringement and dilution after the Boy Scouts of America dropped “Boy” from its name to rebrand as just “Scouts” in its quest expand recruitment to girls and “transgenders”.
