Can you pass this 100-question U.S. Civics Quiz?

CivicsQuiz.com has a U.S. Civics Quiz of 100 questions.

Most questions are taken right from the U.S. Naturalization Exam.

To take the quiz, click here, then report to us on your score!

I got a score of 95. How did you do?

Of the 5 questions I got wrong, I strenuously object to Question #2. Also, the supposedly correct answers for Questions #65 and #66 contradict each other.

I think the wording of some of the questions could have been improved. I am also wondering why the quiz left out such things as important Supreme Court decisions, and the matter of some arcane things, e.g., the pocket veto, etc., etc. But on the whole, it was a pretty good quiz.

I contacted the site administrator and demanded a recount and I got a revised score of 101. So if you don’t mind I’ll go to the head of the class 🙂

I guessed on a few of them, mostly by process of elimination.

I got one wrong and accidentally checked martial law for 14. So 98. Several of the “correct” answers were incorrect IMO but what they were looking for

I can’t help but wonder how AOC would do on this quiz. Probably low 20’s if that

Oh well? You need to lose that flippant attitude and study harder. And stop skipping civics class. 93 is above average but we expect more of you:)

I missed one about Amendment numbers, one about Indian Tribes and one I darn well shouldn’t have (Grrrr!).

99 – I missed the one about who’s in charge of the Executive Branch.

The site changed a few of my answers – like the 2 longest rivers in America, and made it wrong.

That happened to me, too. I counted my correct answers as correct – but there were two where the answer checked was NOT the one I have marked!

97, but i must say, bibi wasn’t listed as president and Lord Rothschild was not under father of the country. Some serious propaganda needed to answer some questions
and sorry there are only 46 states, 4 commonwealths. Just sayin

99, the one I missed was ratified instead of writing at the Constitutional Convention. Silly mistake, I noticed just as I clicked next, but figured it’s a fair cop.

“Of the 5 questions I got wrong, I strenuously object to Question #2. Also, the supposedly correct answers for Questions #65 and #66 contradict each other.” Sorry, I need to disagree with you on these, Dr. Eowyn. #65 & #66 don’t contradict; the Constitutional Convention of 1787 was supposed to propose amendments to the Articles of Confederation, but ended up writing an entirely new Constitution. But we spent over a decade governed under the Articles of Confederation – which had so little central power that it was a “perpetual union” falling apart after only ten years. As for #2, that’s… Read more »

I did the same thing. That’s why I don’t always do as well as I should on these things. I try to answer them “correctly” not IAW the PC answer.

As you so eloquently describe, it “enumerates” the government’s powers and protects the “God-given” rights of the people, which are virtually unlimited. Government’s “rights” are very limited, although you wouldn’t know that by their actions.
