California's Dream Act for Illegals is Law

The state of California is billions of dollars in the red. According to the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office, the state has a $6 billion projected deficit for 2010–11 and a $19 billion gap between projected revenues and spending in 2011–12.
But California’s Democrats-controlled legislature and Democrat governor see fit to put the state even further into debt by coddling illegal aliens.
Maeve Reston of the Los Angeles Times reports, July 26, 2011, that on Monday Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law Assembly Bill 130, the California Dream Act, easing access to privately funded financial aid for “undocumented” college students. He also signaled that he was likely to back a more controversial measure allowing those students to seek state-funded tuition aid in the future.
Reston points out that “For Brown, signing…[the] bill was a gesture of goodwill toward Latino voters, who helped elect him in large numbers last fall. Legislation providing education funding to undocumented students has been a top priority for many Latino groups, which have found many of their efforts thwarted so far at the federal level.
Way to go, Democrats. All for the Democrat Party and to Hell with California.
H/t beloved fellow Tina.

  1. Oregon isn’t much better. Our state is locked into the Liberal/Progressive agenda and we have Wu to show how intelligent our voters are. To try to top California, Oregon may offer free vehicles to illegals and pay the insurance tabs, who knows?

  4. This discrimination against American citizens: Federal Law Title 8, Chapter 14, Sec. 1623 states:
“an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State… for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligiblefor such a benefit “
