California governor Newsom bans all gas-fuel vehicles by 2035

This is Agenda 21 on steroids.

It’s bad enough that California’s power brownouts and shutdowns from increasingly dire wildfires are due entirely to the state increasingly replacing fossil-fuel with unreliable wind- and solar-power generation, now Governor Gavin Newsom means to ban all sales of gas- and hybrid-fuel vehicles.

On Wednesday, Governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order N-79-20  mandating that in 15 years, by 2035, only zero-emission vehicles will be sold in the State of California. (H/t California Political Review)

In the name of “protect[ing] the health and safety of our communities and workers” and ensuring “a sustainable and inclusive economic future for California,” Newsom ordered that:

It shall be a goal of the State that 100 percent of in-state sales of new passenger cars and trucks will be zero-emission by 2035. It shall be a further goal of the State that 100 percent of medium-and heavy-duty vehicles in the State be zero-emission by 2045 for all operations where feasible and by 2035 for drayage trucks. It shall be further a goal of the State to transition to 100 percent zero-emission off-road vehicles and equipment by 2035 where feasible.

2.The State Air Resources Board, to the extent consistent with State and federal law, shall develop and propose:

a)Passenger vehicle and truck regulations requiring increasing volumes of new zero-emission vehicles sold in the State towards the target of 100 percent of in-state sales by 2035.

b)Medium-and heavy-duty vehicle regulations requiring increasing volumes of new zero-emission trucks and buses sold and operatedin the State towards the target of 100 percent of the fleet transitioning to zero-emission vehiclesby 2045 everywhere feasible and for all drayage trucks to be zero-emission by 2035.

c) Strategies, in coordination with other State agencies, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and local air districts, to achieve 100 percent zero-emission from off-road vehicles and equipment operations in the State by 2035.

Furthermore, in less than a year, by July 15, 2021, the relevant state agencies are to “develop strategies, recommendations and actions…to manage and expedite the responsible closure and remediation of former oil extraction sites as the State transitions to a carbon-neutral economy.”

As of  2020, 528 U.S. cities have signed on to Agenda 21’s Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), an international association of local governments as well as national and regional local government organizations who have made a commitment to “sustainable development”.

There is a petition launched by a retired Yolo County sheriff to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom. Times of San Diego reports that as of August 21, 2020, the petition was almost halfway to a November deadline, with a quarter-million signatures — well short of the nearly 1.5 million needed to call an election. To sign the petition, click here.

Rather confusingly, there is also a Change.org petition to recall Newsom, with 76,522 signatures, and a goal of 150,000 signatures. To sign, go here.

Good luck to people in California who can’t charge their electric car due to brownouts. Especially if you need that car to make an escape from a forest fire.

The link for the recall you posted is an old petition. Please use the link below for the actual recall. There has been a lot of confusion as there have been several recall attempts, but those are old. A lot of people are signing the wrong/old petition.
Thanks!

Can people who do not live in California sign this petition? I almost think not, although I sure would like to.

I signed ’em both. The second one wants the signer to say what Ca. County they live in. I chose Nevada, since that’s as close as I wanna get,and it’s the TRUTH,loosely stated.🤪

I hope that the people of California are successful in recalling this nut job. Can he really think that they will be able to produce enough electricity using these carbon neutral methods to sustain the amount of people they have in the state . . . perhaps if they start shipping illegals back to their own countries.

Has anyone else noticed that the new tendency for governments seems to be government by decree? The traditional democratic processes are dying. I understand this is what’s been happening for a long time in the European Union too.

There must be a more effective way to neutralize such a virulent threat to the wellbeing of an entire state.
