Via Fox56: It’s a suit. It’s a duvet. It’s a “Suvet”! A combo that allows wearer to experience 24/7 comfort, on the go.
Jurys Inn Hotel Group announced the launch of a bespoke 2 piece suit, and with it, their foray into the fashion industry via the latest trend to hit the runway: bedroom couture.
As established designers Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga put a high-end stamp on the always-functional yet rarely attractive puffa coat using extreme oversized padding and comfy-chic quilted detailing in their A/W 2016 collections, Jurys Inn Hotel Group is dipping its toes into the style stakes with the first ever suit and duvet combo, taking you from bedroom to boardroom in a whisk of a feather.

After research by the hotel chain revealed 63% of Brits value comfort over style when it comes to fashion, and with over half (56%) of them facing a daily struggle to wake up from their slumber, with lack of sleep (42%), temperature outside of the duvet (40%) and the sheer comfort of bed (28%), topping the list of reasons to stay in bed, it’s no surprise Jurys Inn has come to the rescue with this functional yet fashionable solution.
In collaboration with celebrity costume designer, Wendy Benstead, THE SUVET is set to revolutionize the way we think about bedroom and nap couture. As costume designer to the stars including Paloma Faith and Kimberley Wyatt, Benstead’s designs were inspired by the latest runway trend of quilted clothing.
In keeping with A/W 2016 monochromatic color trends, THE SUVET comes in a bright white color offering wearers the perfect neutral color base to layer and accessorize. Its chic, large collar offers the wearer protection from the elements while providing a hint of drama to the overall design and an all-day pillow to nap on.
Its tapered and fitted sleeves provide interesting detailing and give the sleeve an elegant line while offering warmth and weather protection, not forgetting the oversized shoulders which pay homage to the much loved power suits of the 1980’s and 90’s, while guaranteeing personal space during the busy daily commute.

Additionally, its belted waist gives structure and shape providing a chic silhouette, while front, square pockets offer functional storage solutions.
Suzanne Cannon, Head of Marketing for Jurys Inn, said: “We felt compelled to create a comfortable, stylish outfit to make getting up for work and tackling the day ahead easier,” said Suzanne Cannon, head of Marketing for Jurys Inn. “If there is enough interest in this one-of-a-kind prototype we will definitely consider putting a limited edition run into production – after all, who doesn’t like the thought of a duvet day, every day?”

It reminds me when an over weight person is sitting next to me in the air plane. It seems to assume two seats for one? In Texas, in the summer with 100 degrees, does it also have a switch over from heat to air?

Can you just imagine the conversations? Oh! I love the mattress you’re wearing, where did you get it? Hey, does this mattress make my butt look big? Just when we think it couldn’t get worse…… Leeann

Do they come with matching booties and the mittens with a cord to link them together?

I have seen some ridiculous clothes worn by models, and there have been plenty, but this takes the cake.
I can’t imagine this going big in Milan.
