Bird's Eye View of a Coastal Rescue

This video was made on the Australian coast, using the tilt shift method. Tilt-shift lenses sit off-center of the film plane of your camera to produce photos with extremely limited depth of field, giving the effect of a macro shot of a tiny scene.
The video below, created by Keith Loutit, combines tilt-shift with time-lapse photography to capture the near-drowning of a man and his rescue by helicopter. The video gives viewers the dispassionate perspective of a bird…or perhaps God?
