Exclusive: Ben Kinchlow shares insight from flight operations expert

It has been a lead story for weeks now: “What Happened to Malaysian Flight 370?” Naturally, folks have been talking about it and no exception here. Not being a slavish devotee of the mainstream media, plus having a “what’s the real story here?” ‘tude, I discussed it with several knowledgeable friends, looking for some possible insight into the subject.

One of them, a former flight operations officer for Flying Tigers (the largest all-cargo airline in the world at one time), had been responsible for complete flight plans, weight and balance for B-747 and DC8-63 freighters. These were all international flights between the U.S. and SE Asia, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam and Seoul. He was also director of cargo for a major foreign flag carrier and worked with diplomats and U.S. Department of Transportation officials.

My friend, we’ll call him “Allen,” had some strong opinions on the matter, and what he had to say may be disturbing to some. The scenario that he put forth in our conversation is something the experts in media and government have not addressed. According to Allen, what the media has reported so far “sounds like a wild ride in Disneyland – fantasy and fear – making no sense and confusing both viewers and family members.”

Perhaps the best course of action, unlike the media coverage, is to let Allen speak for himself. The following is the essence of our conversation:

“Ben, in my opinion, a cover-up has begun. The plane took off from Kuala Lumpur destined for Beijing, China. Look, airplanes don’t just fall out of the sky. First, this aircraft had more than enough fuel to reach its destination, with an additional three hours’ worth. Next, the airplane had a flight crew of both pilot and co-pilot. Every two-man international flight of such length would most likely have a ‘deadhead’ crew of a captain and first officer onboard in case of emergency. The news organizations have never mentioned this procedure when the issue of a passenger manifest was discussed. There was the mention of an ‘unidentified flight engineer’ onboard. I laughed out loud when I heard this, because flight engineers have not existed in the new generation aircraft, commercially, in over 20 years. There are no flight engineers, nor are there navigators.”

He continued, “It is reported the MH370 flight departed Malaysian airspace and made a 90-degree turn to the West and the transponders disengaged. The rumors of this plane flying out to the Indian Ocean may be correct, but certainly not for eight hours. From this point on, there is no communication with MH370. No distress calls, nothing! It would be very easy for any additional flight crew that may have been onboard to either work in conjunction with the pilot and first officer or even take over. Either way, there had to be experienced flight deck crews to successfully take control of the aircraft. There have also been reports of the plane climbing to an altitude of 45,000 feet, though most commercial aircraft rarely go over 41,000.”

Allen continued, “MH370 flying very close to another aircraft would not be considered by most ground controls as anything but one aircraft. It would be very easy for the flight to shadow another commercial airline on the same flight path from the Indian Ocean to the vicinity of one of these rogue nations. Radar would not necessarily detect two aircraft.

“This would make total sense, especially considering there are some very high mountain ranges along the Indian route. As the aircraft approached the destination selected by the individuals in control, it would then drop to an altitude below radar detection. There are others, like me, who believe this flight is most likely on the ground in one piece, and the most likely area would be a rogue nation such as Pakistan or Iran.”

“Wait Ben,” he said as I started to interrupt, “this makes sense if you consider that Malaysia is majority Islamic and has a history of being a safe haven for terrorists and their plans. The Malaysia Airlines’ CEO, flight crew, spokespersons and prime minister are all Islamic. I must confess, I heard little or nothing regarding Islam or ‘radar shadowing’ in the reporting.”

He further stated, “This scenario is more than likely the case if one considers terrorist involvement.”

He then asked me, “Media reports have suggested possibilities ranging from mechanical failure, smoke in the cockpit, or dangerous cargo on the aircraft. Any one of these scenarios might be possible, but wouldn’t the crew be trained to file numerous distress calls if that were the case? They have made every excuse to support mechanical failure, but doesn’t it seem strange to you that a fire or something mechanical would occur more than eight hours later over the deepest waters in the world without one single distress call or notice? Finally, these pilots are professionals; why, then, was MH370 thousands of miles off course over the Indian Ocean?”

He wasn’t finished yet. And let me say this: My friend is not given to flights of fancy, nor is he anti-ethnic; he simply believes that Americans, based on the free press provision in the Constitution, should have factual, not conjectural or censored, reportage. He went on further to clearly state that, in his opinion, “This scenario is more than mere conjecture.”

“Ben, listen, it seems to me, as of this discussion today, the world is being led around like elephants grabbing the tail of the one in front. In my considered opinion, this could be one of the biggest charades in aviation history. The world must stop pretending this was anything but a criminal action, orchestrated at the highest levels of the Malaysian Government and rogue fanatics out to destroy both American and Israeli interests.”

I said, “Come on, Allen, that’s pretty far out, and what gives you the idea that Muslims are involved?”

He paused for a moment, and I could tell he was considering his reply, “Man, don’t you know that for over five decades Islamic terrorists have not only threatened to fly a commercial aircraft into Tel Aviv, but continue to call for the end of both Israel and the United States?

“With all due respect, terrorists do not care about human life. Islamic terrorists flew three hijacked aircraft, loaded with passengers, into the World Trade Center buildings and the Pentagon, and only the actions of some passengers caused one to crash into the lush Pennsylvania countryside instead of the U.S. Capitol building. Islamic terrorists place no value on the lives of infidels.”

There was a long silence, and then he said, “My heart and deepest sympathies go out to the families of the passengers who have suffered this cruel action by potential terrorists, Malaysia Airlines, and its government (which owns the airline).”

He paused, then added, “It is my considered opinion that, more than likely, every country involved in this search knows much more than what we are seeing and hearing on global news.”

I have pondered Allen’s remarks, and after reconsidering the Benghazi “incident” and other issues on which the current administration and mainstream media seemed to have been less than forthcoming, could I simply disregard his positions?

I may not agree with everything he said, but I do find it interesting, that with all our modern technology (some of which, from a drone hundreds of feet up, can locate and kill a single individual), we cannot locate a huge Boeing 777.

As someone on the block might say, “What up wid dat?”

    as confirmed by exif data file pulled from the metadata which actually locates the position on Diego Garcia where the picture (of completely dark room where Wood is being held).

    Of course no general would expose wrongdoing that would have to reach so high in the chain of command. Who knows for what “good reason” the US and UK did this hijacking, right?

    • We are left with a mystery here. And each new piece of information changes the way we see it. What was bothering me was the way even FoxNews forced the story line on the public that the debris in the in the Indian Ocean was certainly from the crash. Fox has clearly been compromised on some level, as evidenced by this manipulation.

      Tom McInerney and Ben Kinchlow are both men of integrity, and should not be maligned out of hand for expressing their opinion. The government should not knock them for contradicting the ocean debris story. And the conspiracy crowd should likewise not knock them for simply refusing to bow down every time somebody shouts, “false flag.”

      Dick, you may be right, and be onto something. My first desire would be to verify the quality of your sources. People dream stuff fast in things like this. I need to see by what means this message was “proven” by exif data to have come from Diego Garcia. Who reported it? Rumors travel fast, and idle words quickly take on certainty, until challenged.

      • Traildust,got the data from said photo, sure it could be a cooked up photo, the data contained a date of creation, a timestamp, and GPS coordinates (among other things). Here is the date of creation, timestamp and lat/long:

        I did plug this lat/long into a location finder, and found it doesn’t land exactly at the coordinates, but nearly there (off by about -3′ in either direction) which lands on Cannon Point Trail on Diego Garcia Atoll, right next to the trail there are, clearly visible, large and rather ugly buildings, which could be the “detention” area.
        A little backstory on the photo: it was allegedly found on 4chan, but apparently quickly deleted, but not before some people picked it up, it might be interesting to grill some of the moderators there about it, assuming any one of the vile internet trolls that run the filthy place are willing to breathe a single word of truth. Granted the photo and the data could be fake, and it certainly would be in the nature of the troll-hive (a.k.a. 4chan) to do something stupid as such, but it would be rather a lot of work to do so, I would think. As an aside I had heard tell of people picking up the photo and talking about it’s data being harassed, though I cannot personally verify those rumors.

          As to the difficulty involved in editing EXIF data, it is actually quite easy.

          Why would anyone want to modify the Exif data of photographs? Well, there can be several genuine reasons.

          For instance, the internal date of your camera was incorrect and therefore all the pictures were captured with a wrong timestamp. Or you want to add your name to the photograph’s metadata so that people immediately know who the owner is. WIth an Exif editor, you can also geo-tag your photographs manually even if your camera doesn’t have GPS.

          You may be a bit surprised but Windows Explorer is actually a wonderful Exif editor. Just right click any image file, choose Properties and click the Details tab. You can now edit a wide range of metadata associated with that image from the camera model to the shooting date to copyright information and more.

          Windows Explorer won’t let you edit GPS related information of photographs but Google’s Picasa software is a good choice for doing that.

          Finally, if you want to change the Exif data in tons of photographs, you can edit them all in one go using a dedicated Exif editors like Geosetter or Microsoft Pro Photo. Geosetter can pull Exif tags from one photograph and apply them to all your other photos while Pro Photo is more suited for geo-tagging pictures.

          Similar stuff can also be done with the help of command like utilities like jHead and ExifTool – these are very powerful tools but implementation is obviously a bit geeky.

    I can’t agree more. The Malaysia govt, from the beginning and continuing to this day, not only has been less than forthcoming with information, their info also changes with the wind.

    • Here’s the latest example of the Malaysian govt’s duplicity:

      Malaysia’s ambassador to China told the relatives of MH 370’s Chinese passengers as early as 12 March that the last words of the pilot had been “All right, good night”.

      Yesterday, the Malay govt changed its story. Now, the last words from the cockpit were a standard “Goodnight Malaysian three seven zero”. Malaysian authorities released the transcript of communications between the cockpit crew and air traffic controllers, saying the exchanges showed nothing untoward.

  6. This is the problem: I am getting too old and I’m already too busy to follow all the minutiae in this story. Don’t get me wrong: I do care. But it’s taken all this time to find out the approximate truth behind the Kennedy assassination! We have the basic truth about 9/11, only it’s been officially suppressed!
    This is why this story is important: This flight and whatever happened to it and whoever did what point to one higher truth: The REAL RULERS, whoever they may be—Rothschild, the British Crown, the Mossad, WHOEVER—are sending the Heads of State of the world a MESSAGE: Deviate from Our Agenda, and THIS will happen to you—military escort or no military escort.
    I guess we’ll have to wait until the President’s Plane is missing to realize this.

      As for the president’s plane suddenly disappearing, my opinion is that he is too central to the plot for that to happen. But, this is ONLY my opinion, and I know nothing more than anyone else reading this thread.

    They can track a cow’s backside from the range to a slaughterhouse to a Jack-in-the-Box bacon cheeseburger three thousand miles away, but they lose a 210 foot long, 656,000 pound aircraft filled with the most modern communications devices known to man. And this after some of the most expensive and expansive renovations to aircraft surveillance ever to hit the taxpayers’ pocketbook after 9/11. This in an aircraft manufactured in the US that HAS to have an incredible array of electronic tracking back doors built into it like a hysterical set of digital Doctor Dentons.

    They can hear a shrimp farting or a Russian sailor taking a piss at the bottom of the Marianas Trench, but 328 tons of metal and 230 screaming passengers hits the brine at 600 mph and … not a peep.

    • Well stated, Sig94. And therein lies the problem. All we’re getting is the official story. In the mean time 230 people are unaccounted for and have probably been murdered. And, which city will be the lucky recipient of the new and improved Boeing 777 when it arrives back for an encore?

If those guys die, guess who owns their patents.

      He is now the sole owner of a major semiconductor patent . Which goes along with his company “Freescale Semiconductor”
      So Freescale just launched a new electronic warfare gadget for military radar systems days before MH-370 goes missing. One of these gadgets has …. radar-blocking capabilities. Hmmm LOL Rabbit hole city. 😎
