Scott Adams – Why You Can’t Tell Good News From Bad
Stepping back from the ledge…
I came across this today on Youtube. It helped me see some surprising good sides to a frustrating election. For instance, the fact that both the Dems and the GOP got something has taken some wind out of the sails of the most radical elements: no rioting.
Like many others, I can’t resist looking for the next coded message from the top secret source in the White House.
But then I remember this hilarious moment in the movie, “A Christmas Story,” and pull back a bit to get a clearer perspective. Not saying Q is a hoax, but simply recognizing how similar Ralphie’s enthusiasm was to mine.
PS: In case you wonder where I stand on this subject, I stand with you… and Q. In fact, I feel so strongly about it that I built the little Q animation below.
As the shadowy elite try to silence free speech, Fellowship of the Minds quietly crosses the line of half a million page views.
It’s not long since WordPress attempted to choke out Fellowship of the Minds. We quickly moved to a better hosting company and opened up again. Before the attack, FOTM had amassed more than 38 million pageviews. And now in just a few weeks we have had 586,893 Pageviews. That means we are still here, and still speaking. God is good.
We sometimes drive past this location in beautiful Westport, Massachusetts. When I see it I chuckle, sometimes make a remark, and generally bore the other people in the car with my attempted humor.
But think about it. If there was a beautiful house and property for sale here, with an amazingly affordable price, would you overlook some misgivings about the implications, and snatch it up? Before you say, “Of course! I’m no idiot,” consider someone else who did exactly that. (Genesis 19)
Abraham’s relative, Lot, did something similar. He and Abraham had greatly prospered, so much so that they needed to go separate ways in order to not crowd each other. Lot requested the land near Sodom because it was better than the land Abraham was on. Abraham said said okay, and they split up.
Sweet deal! Great land! Lots of room! And for a low price!
But certain things were not right with this place. It was filled with people who were so violent, murderous and perverted that no stranger could pass through in safety. So bad in fact that God sent 3 angels to get Lot out so they could deal with the monsters who lived there. They extracted Lot and his family, and rained fire and sulfur on Sodom, leaving nothing alive.
So my question is, “When you are living on Sodom Road, do you feel okay about the presence of an Angel Shop and good deals on Firewood?”
The News Cycle From Now Through The November Election Will Be Mostly Street Theater

Street theatre is a form of theatrical performance and presentation in outdoor public spaces without a specific paying audience. These spaces can be anywhere, including shopping centres, car parks, recreational reserves, college or university campus and street corners. Street theatre – Wikipedia
In our Truth-Optional news media we will witness a traveling circus for the next 2 weeks.
It’s all about seizing the narrative, and shaping public opinion. It is not (it is NEVER) about truth. We have had a succession of about three stories per week that dominate the news. It’s been going on this way much more in the last 2 years.
Before we “Move On” let’s bid a fond farewell to the Caravan news story, which may have lost its appeal.
Although it may continue to find its way into the news, the Democrats are abandoning the Caravan story because of its unintended consequence of rallying and motivating the conservative base.
The new darling of the Fake News is the Bomb threats against President Trump’s detractors.
The above screen shots reveal a clear intent in the sending of the bombs. All the targets are detractors of President Trump. So the CNN narrative is that it’s the fault of Trump and his supporters. (Please call to mind how often we have found that hate graffiti against one group or another is actually made secretly by a member the “victim” group.)
But wait! One of the Fake News stalwarts, the New York Times, may have accidentally let the cat out of the bag.
That’s right! You read the headline correctly. “FAKE EXPLOSIVES.”
And on FoxNews Dan Bongino pointed out that the bombs look extremely amateurish, which might make us conclude that they didn’t go off because they were made by an idiot. But Dan’s experience in the field runs to a contrary conclusion. Amateur bomb makers usually blow themselves up, or have a history of accidental explosions. So instead of an amateur, we have an expert. But an expert at what? Simply, these are built expertly by people who build fake bombs for the movie industry.
Movie industry? I wonder what Robert Di Nero has to say.
So in conclusion, what we are being force fed by news media is not news at all, but Street Theater.
Will the non-exploding fake bombs dominate the news cycle through the mid-term election? I don’t know, but my prediction is that this story will be replaced by a succession of other outrages orchestrated by the same people.
Hey folks, it’s all theater. Let’s grab our popcorn, put on our 3-D glasses, and enjoy the entertainment.
The Beatles were sold to us as a squeaky clean music group
Or maybe those of us coming of age in the 1960s just saw it that way. I mean, how corrupt is a song named “Hold Your Hand?” Yup, they were sold to us that way. But in short order, they introduced an unsuspecting public to Satanism, Aleister Crowley, psychedelic drugs, Timothy Leary, and who knows what.
So why does that shock me now?
In my case, it is because now in 2018 the unthinkable has become thinkable. People are asserting with a straight face that royals, government officials, the entertainment industry, and many in power are involved with pedophilia, cannibalism and devil worship.
Suddenly this album cover begins to look like more than the result of musicians and a photographer injecting humor into another boring photo shoot.
