Apple Security Chief Thomas Moyer
Apple’s security chief, Thomas Moyer, is accused of offering bribes to secure concealed carry permits for Apple security employees. According to MSNBC, a grand jury issued an indicment this past Monday.
According to MSNBC: “Moyer allegedly promised to donate 200 iPads worth $70,000 to the Sheriff’s Office in exchange for four concealed weapons (CCW) permits “withheld from Apple employees,” according to a press release from the Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen.”
Also from their story: “The Santa Clara DA alleges that officials in the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s office, Undersheriff Rick Sung, and Captain James Jensen, were part of a scheme where they solicited bribes in exchange for easier approval of concealed carry permits. An insurance broker with political connections in San Jose was also charged with offering bribes in exchange permits on Monday.“
Moyer’s attorney and Apple both issued statements claiming Moyer did nothing wrong.

We’ll see how this plays out. Who knows what play-for-pay shenanigans goes on in California with local authorities who hold the power to deny citizens of their Second Amendment rights.

“Did nothing wrong” is standard protocol for anyone on the left. That means Burn/Loot/Murder. And they never justify it.
What does it say for the caliber (no pun intended,honest!)of security people Apple hired-if MY security people couldn’t qualify for a CCW,they would NOT be my security people.
I think it says a lot about the unConstitutional process to obtain a CCW. One has to take a class, among other things, and “have good moral character.” Final call is made by the sheriff.
This is the perfect avenue for pay-to-play.
