Born 1776, Died 2008

Professor Joseph Olson of   Hamline University School of Law,   St. PaulMinnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning last November’s Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Obama: 19  McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000  McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million  McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2  McCain: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare.”
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some 40% of the nation’s population already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to 20 million criminal invaders called “illegals,” and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.
H/t my friend and patriot Bob W.

  1. What it boils down to is that Marx was somewhat right – there really IS a Class Struggle
    And it is between the Working Class (those that WORK for a living) and the Non-working Class.

    • Bravo!
      Of course, that was Karl Marx’s original meaning: the struggle between the working class and those who do not work but live on the labor of others! Marx’s mistake was to give a name/label to those two categories, calling them the “proletariat” and the “bourgeoisie/capitalists.” He should have stuck to the DESCRIPTIVE definition of the workers vs. the exploiters.
      In effect, by Classical Marxism’s own definitions and criteria, the following Americans are the exploiters and leeches today:
      1. The estimated 40% of Americans who do not pay income taxes;
      2. Those on welfare, however it’s called, which is money derived from the labors of the workers;
      3. All who work in government – federal, state, local – who, in Marx’s parlance, are part of the exploitive Ruling Class. Furthermore, the bigger the government, the more it administers and therefore controls “the means of production.” the more government becomes oppressive and the de facto Ruling Class, despite its pretty deceptive rhetoric of “democracy” and “serving the people.” Instead, it is a class to itself, serving only itself.
      So, Paul, what we need in America today is a real Marxist Revolution, where Americans who work finally stand up and say “ENOUGH!!”

  2. This certainly made me do a double take when I saw the figures on how the election was won. Obama, apparently, did not do as well as he and his cronies would have us believe. All Americans need to see these percentages–quite a shock. I also worry about this year’s census, and how unfair it will make upcoming elections,esp. if Acorn gets involved.

    • DW, the aggregate numbers sure give a different picture of the ’08 election, doesn’t it? But Obama won the states – and those regions & districts within states – which are the most heavily populated. Mainly in the “Blue” (what a misnomer! they’re really ideological Reds) coastal states.
      And I share your concerns about ACORN being involved in the 2010 Census. We conservatives will have to watch them like a hawk! So much to do; so much at stake….

  3. Those statistics are so amazing, and what is most noteworthy is the fact that the media doesn’t publish them! These states are self-explanatory, aren’t they!!!
