FROM JEROME CORSI’S RED ALERT

25 signs U.S. is in economic decline

Is it twilight in America under Obama?

Editor’s Note: The following report is excerpted from Jerome Corsi’s Red Alert, the premium online newsletter published by the current No. 1 best-selling author, WND staff writer and senior managing director of the Financial Services Group at Gilford Securities.
Under the leadership of Barack Obama, has it become twilight in America? That’s the question Jerome Corsi’s Red Alert is asking, noting that Business Insider has listed 25 signs of economic decline in the United States:
1) Standard & Poor’s altered its outlook on U.S. government debt from “stable” to “negative”;
2) China has announced it is going to be reducing its holdings of U.S. dollars;
3) Hedge-fund manager Dennis Gartman says that “panic dollar selling is setting in” and that the U.S. dollar could be in for a huge decline;
4) The biggest bond fund in the world, PIMCO, is now shorting U.S. government bonds;
5) The economy is causing “ghost towns” to appear across the United States, with many counties across the nation that now have home vacancy rates of more than 50 percent;
6) There are now about 7.25 million fewer jobs in America than when the recession began back in 2007;
7) Only 45.4 percent of Americans had a job during 2010, the lowest percentage since 1983;
8) Only 66.8 percent of American men had a job last year, the lowest level ever in the United States;
9) The average CEO made 343 times more money than the average American did last year;
10) Gas prices reached $5 per gallon at a gas station in Washington, D.C., on April 19, 2011;
11) Over the past 12 months, the average price of gasoline in the United States has gone up about 30 percent;
12) Due to rising fuel prices, American Airlines lost $436 million during the first quarter of 2011;
13) U.S. households are now receiving more income from the U.S. government than they are paying to the government in taxes;
14) Approximately $1 out of every $4 that the U.S. government borrows goes to pay the interest on the national debt;
15) Total home mortgage debt in the United States is now about five times larger than it was just 20 years ago;
16) Total credit card debt in the United States is now more than eight times larger than it was just 30 years ago;
17) Average household debt in the United States has now reached a level of 136 percent of average household income, while in China it’s only 17 percent;
18) The average American now spends 23 percent of their income on food and gas;
19) Seventy-eight percent of Americans said they plan to slow their spending in coming months due to rising prices;
20) Fifty-nine percent of Americans receive money from the federal government;
21) The average length of unemployment in the United States is now a record 39 weeks;
22) As the economy continues to collapse, frustration among young people will continue to grow and we will see more seemingly “random acts of violence”;
23) Some Americans have become so desperate for cash that they are literally popping their gold teeth and selling them to pawn shops;
24) As the economy has declined, the American people have been gobbling up larger and larger amounts of antidepressants and other prescription drugs;
25) Even the latest market rally could be ending.
“These economic warning signs should give President Obama pause on his re-election campaign,” Corsi wrote. “Voters going to the polls in 2012 are certain to ask whether they are better off economically than they were four years ago, and the answer is likely to be ‘no’ in millions of cases.”

    Looking through this, most of it is a result of 20 years down the road of the UN’s Agenda 21.
    What would our budget and economy look like if we just dropped off the Agenda 21 grid, refuse to fund ANYTHING remotely connected with it–anything with the word “Sustainable” in it? That would include funding to any state or local projects that are part of the Agenda 21 package through affiliations with the “act locally” component of the global AGENDA 21. That should whack off a ton of horrible local projects. It would be an excellent way to weed out the RINOs at all levels of government, too! Find out who in your local town, city, county or state is involved in ICLEI and make their lives a living hell—- non-violently, of course!
    ICLEI is an international membership association of local governments dedicated to climate protection and sustainable development. The organization was established in 1990 when more than 200 local governments from 43 countries convened at the World Congress of Local Governments for a Sustainable Future, at the United Nations in New York. Established as the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, the official name is now ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability.
    ICLEI USA was launched in 1995 and has grown from a handful of local governments participating in a pilot project to a solid network of more than 600 cities, towns and counties actively striving to achieve tangible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and create more sustainable communities. ICLEI USA is the domestic leader on climate protection and adaptation, and sustainable development at the local government level.

      On a theological level, Sage, I’m in complete agreement with you.
      On a political level, I think making Agenda 21 a key 2012 campaign issue would be fun, throwing a curve at both parties and weeding out the pansy globalist candidates altogether! Hee hee!
      So much of what has been done at the local level hase been “under the radar” of the standard issues trotted out over the past campaigns. I wish all the Tea Parties and Independents who want lower taxes and strict construction of the Constitution to bone up on Agenda 21 and how it plays out in their counties and towns to start throwing some curve balls to these pandering scoundrels who whine about their desire to “serve” the people.
      I’m going to start getting very rude if I continue…. but, you get my drift?

  3. Historically, free republics have about a 200 year life span.
    We have been living on borrowed time for over 30 years.
    And to top it all off, the sheeple voted in the all-grown-up Rosemary’s Baby in November of 2008.
    Face it, folks. This country has become collectively (oh how I hate that word) too stoopid to survive as an actual free nation.
    -And we haven’t been truly free in decades.
    Sorry to point out the 800 lb gorilla in the room, but damn.
    Just damn.
    🙁

      The Deliberate Dumb-down is about complete, isn’t it? There is a real generational divide between people who were educated in the traditional knowledge-based model where facts count and the new role-based education model where “facts change” and therefore are not worth learning. Sadly, it reflects the real generation gap.

      • LTG,
        “Sadly, it reflects the real generation gap.”
        Yep, and being a student of history, and barring something rather extraordinary taking place very soon, I really do not see us overcoming this.
        There are just too many moochers, leeches, and ticks running about with voter registration cards.
        One would think that, given the wealth of historical information that is now available at our fingertips, ours would have been the the one nation that finally managed to “buck the trend.”
        Sadly, when taken on the whole, we seem to be more ignorant than every preceding generation.
        Government “education” has finally realized it’s seven decades-long goal.
        We are now a nation of dumbMass, government-compliant morons, and will willingly surrender our hard-won freedoms and liberties for even the faintest hint of security.

    If you look at Obama’s Stimulus Package, most it went to Agenda 21-related “sustainable” projects.

  5. Dave – I love that word “Sheeple”. Excellent! We’re all in the same boat and it’s got no rudder and we are up that proverbial creek! God bless us all. “And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.” Ps. 78-35.

  6. and today in my local newspaper a person wrote in “If obama was blond haired and blue eyed with an english last name nobody would be asking about his birth certificate and people wouldn’t be blaming him for all the problems in this country”. so as you can easily deduce stupid has become the new norm for the most part throughout a large part of our country.

  7. Blue eyes and Blond hair are no guarantee of sanity, Intelligence or the Moral fiber required to lead a Nation…consider for a moment Jimmy Carter.
    Obama is a plant, a Trojan Horse to drag this Country down Economicly, Morally, and Militarily. If His destruction rampage is not stopped soon we will
    be in for a Bloody Civil War. An while we are fighting amongst ourselves, we will be greatly reducing the size of our National Population just as the Obama playbook calls for. Race hatred is what is driving this struggle, and it isbeing used by Obama’s Bosses to achieve thier goals…Lock and Load.
