David Ramos reports for Catholic News Agency (CNA) that on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, “abortion rights activists” tried to burn down the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.
But faithful lay Catholics protected the cathedral by gathering before the church’s front doors.
Mauricio Alfonso Guitar, deputy head of the Cristera National Guard in Mexico City, told CNA’s Spanish language sister agency ACI Prensa that “thanks to the denunciations in Catholics’ social networks, offering to defend the churches, the government … sent police to defend them.”
ACI Prensa reported that firefighters acted quickly to prevent the fire from spreading, and police acted to prevent further acts of aggression by the “abortion rights activists”.
One would have to be demonically possessed to be so hell-bent on the “right” to kill unborn babies.
Indeed, in May 2015, inside the Cathedral of San Luis Potosía in the city of San Luis Potosi, a group of bishops performed an exorcism on the entire country of Mexico.
Clearly, the exorcism failed.
As reported by LifeSiteNews, Cardinal Juan Sandoval, Bishop Emeritus from Gualajara, who led the exorcism, said, “Mexico opened the door to the devil when we legalized abortion. It’s the legalization of homicide.”
Journalist Roberto O’Farril who witnessed the exorcism, compared abortion to the sacrifices performed by the Aztecs. H said: “Many of those sacrifices were human sacrificies. Young warriors and damsels whose chests were cut open to take out the heart and offer it to these demons. Mexico is living a demonic infestation similar to the one these territories lived before the evangelization and before Our Lady of Guadalupe’s apparition.”
According to a 2015 study by the pro-abort Guttmacher Institute, Mexico has one of the highest abortion rates in the world, with 33 in every 1,000 pregnancies ending in abortion.
