A Walk by the Sea

Rate this post

Yesterday morning was cool and grey. Instead of my usual route in the hills, I took a walk by the sea. Here are some pics I took.

A seagull rides the strong sea-breeze…

If you look closely, you’ll see two mallard ducks (a female and a male) at water’s edge….

A community garden of some of the houseboat-owners

Can you see the baby squirrel? The rocks by the water are teeming with ground squirrels. I used to feed them peanuts in shells. They’d come running when I called…until one impatient and rather fat squirrel mistook my finger for a peanut. The rabies and tetanus shots were no fun.  LOL

What great pictures. Thanks so much for sharing.

  2. What a great way to start my day! You truly live in a beautiful area. I did not realize you were so close to the ocean.

I especially love the Blue Nile lilies. I’ve tried to grow them here; but, our winters are too cold. They look to be thriving in the Bay area. The cloudy weather looks familiar. I’m seeing the same outside my window right now.

  4. beautiful photos, how lovely to live so close to the ocean!

  5. Thank you so much. By the time I finished looking through those lovely photos, my blood pressure had dropped considerably. 🙂 I’m breathing easier too.

  6. ahhh nice ! I about went crazy looking for the baby Squirrel until I scrolled down a picture ;o I love the mist and fog (it’s great for my complexion if not my looks) and just to be around boats brings me such joy. Very nice photos and another lovely walk with you. You’ve made an old man’s day.
I think I’ll have a cup of tea and look at them again…cheers !
