Let the PC Grinch try stopping believers from proclaiming His birth and His name!
I started tearing up when the flash mob began singing “O Holy Night,” then really lost it at the 4:25 mark….
This Christmas flash mob took place at the South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach, CA, on December 18, 2010. The singers are members of the Journey of Faith.
Journey of Faith began in 1911 as a traveling school bus, offering Sunday school classes to the children in the Hermosa Beach area – where open fields and goats grazing were the norm. By 1957, the congregation had become so big that a 4-mile property in Manhattan Beach was purchased, which became the first Journey of Faith church.
Since then, two additional worship centers were built, as well as an E-Building in 1999 to house a preschool program for Journey School and adult Bible classes and events. In 2009, a new 18,000 square foot educational building – The Harbor – was added; as well as Journey’s first satellite site in Bellflower.
Today, Journey of Faith numbers 2,000 worshipers “serving the body of Christ for his Kingdom.”
This is Journey’s Mission Statement:
As a community of worshipers we have been sent into the world to Make Mature and Mobilize Disciples who love the Lord our God above all else and who touch others with the reality of Jesus Christ.
God bless the good people of Journey of Faith!
