Debbie Wasserman Schultz: The NRA is “just shy of a terrorist organization”

Hey Debbie, define “assault weapon.”

I triple dog dare you.

From Yahoo (via HuffPo): Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) had stern words for the National Rifle Association on Tuesday, responding to the gun group’s new president attacking student survivors of the shooting in Parkland, Florida, for allegedly engaging in “civil terrorism.”

“The NRA is kind of just shy of a terrorist organization,” Schultz told HuffPost. “They have done everything they can to perpetuate the culture of violence that we have in our country with the spread of assault weapons across the nation.”

In an interview with The Washington Times last week, newly elected NRA president Oliver North accused students of Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School of using “intimidation and harassment and lawbreaking” in the anti-gun efforts they launched following the Valentine’s Day massacre that left 17 people dead at their campus.

“They call them activists. That’s what they’re calling themselves. They’re not activists — this is civil terrorism,” North said.

The retired Marine Corps lieutenant colonel previously served on the NRA’s board of directors. He is best known for his involvement in the Iran-Contra firearms scandal in the 1980s, in which he was found to have played a key role in the clandestine sale of weapons to Iran, which was under an arms embargo at the time. Funds from those transactions were then funneled to bolster terrorist efforts against Nicaragua’s socialist government.

North was convicted of three felonies related to the scheme, including charges of obstructing a congressional inquiry and destroying evidence. The convictions were later vacated amid concerns that tainted testimony had been used in the case.

Still, Wasserman Schultz said she considered it ironic for someone with North’s past legal troubles to accuse young people of criminal behavior simply for “standing up to make sure that we can keep people safe.”

She also rebuffed North’s contention that the pressure the NRA now faces has “never been seen against a civil rights organization in America,” and is worse than “the terrible days of Jim Crow.”

“The Jim Crow laws actually resulted in the deaths of people standing up for their rights,” said Wasserman Schultz, who headed the Democratic National Committee from 2011-16. “People that are dying as a result of the infection that is the spread of assault weapons thanks to the NRA are being murdered in cold blood without any cessation or interest on the part of the NRA to do anything about it.

  1. That’s rich, coming from a woman whom a watchdog group identified as among the “most ethically challenged” representatives in Congress, and who is still not held accountable for her role in the Aswan brothers scandal, or suspected voter fraud in her reelection.

    • Brian, her time is also coming up, so for the time being she’s been kept in the back burner, out of sight and NOT out of mind. She is entangled in much caca she won’t be able to to survive. These people must be dealt with all the weight of the law so it doesn’t happen EVER again.

The true U.S. citizens own no ‘assault weapons’, what we own are “Defensive Arms”. It is the government thugs who will do the assaulting.

The real and only victims of ‘parkland,’sandy hook’, and most all the others, are all the naive who haven’t yet realized the cause and effect agenda behind these staged events, and the freedoms they are aimed at eroding, of which we will all suffer.

Though I am a Life member of the N.R.A., the only real good I feel they have accomplished is distressing and discouraging the anti-freedom zealots with its massive number of members. There really is little benefit in debating in courts an indisputable absolute right, with traitorous scum who have no regard for any part of the Constitution (except to parrot what serves their purpose).

The only realistic option for the true and patriotic U.S. citizens is in ignoring all infringement already imposed, and those proposed under the color of ‘law’, and be prepared for what is clearly by now, understood as inevitable.

  5. We don’t have Guns in the UK but sooner or later they will come in. Violence in London is absolutely dreadful, the Mayor of London, busies himself with talking about taking all McDonalds adverts down on the underground network, never mind all those people being shot dead or stabbed in London. Be careful if you are thinking of visiting London.

As for that woman above and her stupid Terrorist claim, utter garbage. America will never give up their guns, it’s not the guns that are violent it’s the person firing the gun.

    • If you “don’t have Guns in the UK” then how are all those people being “shot” dead?

    • She is good at protecting the real terrorists. Like a good Dem, she spins the real story and accuses those that oppose her with the things she is guilty of hiding. A bunch of people lost thier jobs trying to get the truth out to the public about these fake shootings here in Florida. We vote them out and they manage to come back again and again.

What kind of relationship did Debbie have with the Pakistani guy who worked in her office and stole all of the governments stuff and even stole cash?

She aided and abetted the terrorists. Looks Ms Debbie is the pot calling the kettle black as the old saying goes – and don’t go calling me a racist caused I used the word “black.”

Debbie was in bed with these Obama’s czars people under the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood. This is unbelievable that we had these people in our embedded in our government while the FBI and DOJ were dilly-dallying around spying on every body and their uncle.

Where does this investigation stand on her office and these terrorists.

  10. In response to DCG, excellent point. All those guns are black market, easy to buy here in the UK. The majority of them come from Eastern Europe. The Black community never have had a problem with obtaining guns. Its drive by shootings which I know is the case in America too. The very dangerous gangs here are now fighting each other, and ofcourse its Drugs.

We have a really stupid situation here, the Armed Police who do a very difficult job, they have to determine in a split second whether the gun pointing at them is real or plastic. An Armed Officer who shot dead a gang member few years ago, was cleared, but now its been announced that the Police Have to Discipline him, he could lose his job. That’s what it is like here in the UK now, Home Office rule, must not upset the Blacks or the immigrants. Forget the Whites we can die.

  11. This POS needs to be behind bars over that IT scandal with her boyfriend. She’s rather typical, i.e., utterly disgusting. The NRA should sue her. There still is such a thing as defamation. What does the NRA have to do with these contrived “school shootings”? People are so gullible.

    • She has indictments too-it’ll be interesting to see what she’ll do to clear herself and stay out of Prison. (She’ll probably share a cell with her BFF Killary.)

      • The real questions are what set of indictments we’re talking about. There’s money laundering, election fraud, classified material violations, conspiracy, the list is long. But, there she is, big as life.

        Liked by 3 people

        • The total number of sealed indictments is now well into the thousands,so I’m sure there are enough issued to Debbie to cover all her illegal acts.

          • Well, I know its a silly question, but, where’s Sessions? I read today that he has been instructed (by Trump, I assume) that his job is in jeopardy. He is currently blocking information Congress is requesting from DoJ that could result in more indictments.

So, I have to ask, “is this all for show, or is he just a Democrap shill and they can’t figure out how to fire him? It would be a lot more entertaining and productive to be watching them indict the Clintons, Obongos, et al, than endlessly talking about this B.S. “Russian” nonsense.

  13. Keep on talking Debbie BLABBERMOUTH Schultz. These people, even though they know they are lying, are so convinced that they are believable that they keep on lying. One lie leads to another and another until the whole house of cards falls.
With a role model like Hit-lie-ry what can you expect? Doesn’t she realize that her role model will throw her under the bus when push comes to shove? Truth, Justice and the REAL American way will prevail.
President Trump: Stay the course. Keep returning America to Greatness.

    • Stuff like THIS is where we need another man like Trey Gowdy,or several more. He has a natural ability to get those he interviews to be so flustered/confused/terrified they ALWAYS screw up their story and contradict their own testimony. VERY entertaining.

      • I like Trey Gowdy. At least I like what he “says”. I’m afraid, at least so far, that he resembles Henry Waxman. He used to SAY a lot too. I’d be much more impressed if he actually DID something.

        Liked by 3 people

        • True, but the point is that he remembers details, throws them back to the “suspect” and rattles them until they start screwing up. He’s VERY good at that.

          • I have no doubt that he has the talent, but does he have the balls. Talk is cheap. In fact, rather than talking about swamp drainage I would be MUCH more impressed if Trump fired Sessions and appointed Gowdy. THEN we’d get to see if he walks his talk.

  17. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz knows that MS-13 is a terrorist organization, and she knew this when she hired them to kill Seth Rich for leaking the truth. But that’s All Right: She can be the hypocrite she wants to be and get away with it, as long as she virtue-signals strongly enough.

Is this swamp ever going to get drained???

    • I would love to say “yes”, but I don’t think so. They need to bring some top soil, bury the whole thing. Then build a fence with razor wire to keep in anything that claws its way to the surface.
