Child Free Movement: Millennials in their 20s are getting sterilized

Millennials, aka Generation Y, are those born from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s or early 2000s. The U.S. Census Bureau uses the dates 1982-2000, which would mean Millennials are 17 to 35 years old. Often the children of the Baby Boomers, Millennials are sometimes referred to as “Echo Boomers” due to a major surge in birth rates in the 1980s and 1990s.

Already possessed of some woeful attributes as a group (see examples below), increasing numbers of Millennials are so determined against having kids, they are getting sterilized in their 20s.

Louise Donovan for Vice, March 2, 2017, that the “child free movement” is the subject of a new BBC Three documentary, Young and Sterile: My Choice, exploring why a growing number of teenagers and 20-somethings in the UK and the U.S. are getting sterilized, not just out of fear of becoming accidentally pregnant or a father.

Among those interviewed in the documentary is a 28-year-old woman named Andie, who chooses not to identify as a specific gender, but uses the pronoun “they”.

Andie was sterilized last year and says it’s the best decision “they’ve” ever made:

“It’s massively improved my mental health and [body] dysphoria. No one ever stops people from having children so why would you stop someone who doesn’t want children?

“My mother was a really violent person and I was excommunicated from her at a young age. I’m scared of having kids and turning into her, because motherhood was quite a cruel thing for me. I wouldn’t want my kids to go through the same experience.”

Andie says the stigma around simply not wanting children is huge but it seems to be worse for women, who are viewed as heartless and selfish:

“People judge you. I’ve been back to hospital, unrelated to my procedure, and female doctors have lectured me on something I’ve already had done. This idea that women have to settle down, get married, have children—it’s quite a moral thing, isn’t it? Life isn’t just about reproduction. For me it goes back to this patriarchal idea that gender is binary and, within that, you have to comply with set or ‘normal’ roles. I’m very much against that.”

Andie doesn’t totally rule out being a parent, allowing the possibility of adopting or co-parenting: “There are other ways to have children that don’t involve pushing them out through your uterus.”

Another woman interviewed in the BBC documentary is 19-year-old Katelin, who is originally from Philadelphia. Katelin is absolutely certain she doesn’t want children, so sure that she’s considering sterilization — a permanent procedure that involves blocking a woman’s fallopian tubes, which prevents the woman’s eggs from reaching and being penetrated by sperm. Katelin has mental health problems and a serious heart defect she doesn’t want to pass on, although she also enjoys her “vagina exactly the way it is”.

Katelin says:

“I honestly don’t like kids—they’re germ-y and annoying and gross. I’m old enough to vote, play the lottery, drive, and go to jail—why can’t I decide I don’t want kids? I just don’t have a motherly bone in my body.”

Today, one in five British women will never have kids, up from one in ten in the 1970s. And although the number of vasectomies has decreased nearly two-thirds in the last decade, men are also vocal about their child-free choice, like 29-year-old Paul Pritchard, whose vasectomy was filmed live during the making of the documentary.

Afflicted with a life-long depression and Type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes, Pritchard believes “It would be cruel of me to enforce a child to suffer the same.” He says:

“I’ve never thought of myself as a father. Children have never factored into any of my long-term life plans. At the end of the day I’d rather come to the end of my life and regret not having children than have children and regret my decision.”

But finding a doctor who would actually agree to a vasectomy took 11 years before the NHS (National Health Service) finally gave in to Pritchard’s requests. Pritchard says:

“My first doctor, who has now retired, definitely fed me some bullshit, made-up statistics about how 90 percent of people who have a vasectomy regret their decision. It’s like, you’re just telling me that because I’m 18 and you don’t believe a word I’m saying.

What would they say to people who think 19, or even 29, is too young to make a decision so final as sterilization, and that their determination to be child free is a narcissistic lifestyle choice designed to delay adulthood?

Katelin vehemently disagrees:

“I want time alone, time with my partner, and time to travel and spend money on luxury. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. My generation live in a broken world. We come from broken homes and have broken minds and bodies. Many of us just don’t want to reproduce. It’s my life and I’m not hurting anyone.”

From the child’s point of view – this is good because of the millennial’s attitude – they wouldn’t have a mommy and daddy. Also, it cuts Planned Parenthood out of aborting babies who can’t speak for themselves.

  2. “They” looks like a monster! In times past, mothers would cover their children’s eyes if something like that were to appear before them. People would cross to the other side of the street if they saw it coming toward them on the sidewalk.

      • Fact. Just another vile ugly creature trying to make others think that others desire it. Reminds me of the disgusting woman who made ~15 false rape claims. When I was a teen and young adult, it was only the fat chicks (there were far fewer of them then) who talked openly about sex. Sad!

        • That’s so true. Many years ago I had a collateral duty to manage a sexual harassment program at work. ALL of my complainants were……er…….less than beautiful. It sounded more like a workshop on unrequited sexual fantasy.

  8. very sad…these people are playing into the hands of satanists.
rejection of Christ and of everything holy is what satan wants.
clearly, Heaven is not for everyone…but, I pray they see the light before it’s too late.

    population reduction:
    vaccinations
    pesticides
    fungicides
chemicals (cosmetics, tattoos, hair dyes, water, etc)
    plastics
    cancer
pharmaceuticals (depression, birth control, hormones for ‘transgenders’, etc)
    EMFs
    homosexuality
    transgenderism
    narcissism
    social engineering propaganda
all of these can not be a coincidence….
Spiritual Detox through Jesus Christ will correct all of these and more….

  10. All Maoists and they don’t even know it. “All through the day, I, me, mine; I, me, mine; I, me, mine…..”. She is “opposed” to the “idea” of two genders, therefore, there aren’t! Easy isn’t it?

They are following the script to the letter. We’ll be gone and there will be this befuddled mass of dolts blindly talking at each other and enforcing their own conformity.

  13. I am no expert on women, but I have observed one thing: Women who, for whatever reason, do not have any children, even if they are married, tend to develop a neurotic and OCD personality (usually).
Forget about professions or occupations for a moment. There are but two vocations—the married life or the single life. I am a straight white Christian male, and for reasons too lengthy (and personal) to explain here, my vocation is to remain single. It’s not that I don’t want to be married; It just didn’t work out. I am not overtly fond of that, but it is what it is.
Therefor, it is not my place to father or adopt children whom, by their rights, have the right to be conceived within marriage, and NOT outside of it.

Be that as it may, Prince Charles (a real LOSER, in my opinion) said something right (for once in his life!): “Know your station in life.” People MUST know their station in life in order to fulfill the work that God has laid out for them. These two losers cannot possibly know what that Work is, because they have, to all appearances, devoted their lives to sexual perversion.
Yes, many people are actually afraid of having children, for honest reasons. The purpose of marriage—its PRIMARY PURPOSE—is to reproduce and educate children. That is its PRIMARY purpose, and NOT the “unitive” aspect, namely, coitus. Some couples are unfortunate in that, despite their best efforts, cannot conceive.
But this is all secondary to my argument: People these days don’t seem to grasp the basic moral truth that sexual perversion leads to the destruction of life. And not only does it lead to the destruction of the very life itself, but to the loss of one’s purpose in life. Sexual kicks are NOT the primary purpose of Life! Our Lord NEVER SAID, “Give us this day our daily nut”; He Prayed we receive our Daily Bread.

In War as in Life, if you cannot identify the enemy and construct a strategy, you cannot win. But I get it: These millenials are not the first to be screwed up—their parents and grandparents were also screwed up.
The Devil is gearing up for his Final Battle. (I believe he already knows he is going to lose.)

  14. The problem, of course, is that the non-Caucasian youngsters AREN’T cutting back on reproduction, whether they can afford their broods or not. This is not me “being racist”; it’s been documented statistically.

So not only do we all end up paying for their off-springs’ upbringing, healthcare, education, and prison stays; we also risk being out-voted by them when they eventually outnumber us (in about 25-30 years), with their “votes without citizenship” rights which are coming. And at that point, we will have lost our country as it has existed for the past 250y.

And there won’t be much hope for gaining it back… ever.

The same is going on in Europe, and it’s scary. Unrestrained immigration is a major reason for the escalation. Folks are refusing to integrate into existing orders of society, much the way young blacks and Hispanics here have been doing, demanding that their own sub-cultures now be accepted as just as hierarchical as those already long in existence… “You’re not the boss of me! …Life is unfair.”

  16. If we as a society kept sex within marriage, this would all be a non-issue. Once again, living life unbiblically creates so many problems.

As for the UK,why don’t they just hand the keys of their country over to the invaders now, if they aren’t going to try and fight back.
