Hollyweird “stars” who want our taxes to pay for Planned Parenthood abortions

These libtards apparently think 1) we care about their opinions and 2) you are too stupid to figure out how to contact your senator.

Know who to boycott.

From Daily Mail: The looming vote on the controversial Senate Republicans’ health care bill has motivated Hollywood to take part in the rancorous debate.

A-listers Jennifer Lawrence, Jon Hamm and Lena Dunham, joined a plethora of 25 more celebrities including Aubrey Plaza, Padma Lakshmi, Suki Waterhouse, Elisabeth Moss, Spike Jonze, Amy Poehler and Brie Larson among many others to create a video on Friday supporting Planned Parenthood.

In the opening frame, superimposed text reads ‘these famous faces want to help you reach your representative.’

A number of celebrities follow with their names before the actual message of the video starts with superstar director of Her and Being John Malkovich Spike Jonze.

The message ‘We need you to contact your United States senator and you can do that by visiting istandwithpp.org/call’ is then carried on by several more celebrities.

After an example of how to leave a message for senators suggesting a no vote for ‘any attempt to defund Planned Parenthood,’ a more personal message is expressed.

‘This is nothing more than a blatantly political attempt to do whatever it takes to attack women’s health and rights and take health care away from the people who need it the most,’ declare another series of celebrities.

Famous activist Gloria Steinem also appears, saying ‘the right to decide our own bodily future is the most basic of all human rights.’

In a statement accompanying the release of the video, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said: ‘We are so grateful to have the support of so many artists, many of whom have themselves relied on Planned Parenthood for health care and who understand the importance of speaking out.’

‘This support is especially important right now as the Senate is jamming through a bill that would block millions of women from getting birth control and cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood. Now is the time to speak out. One in five women in this country rely on Planned Parenthood for care. They will not stay silent as politicians vote to take away their care and their rights.’

Anticipating its universal unpopularity, Senate Republicans led by Mitch McConnell crafted the bill in secret and only released the actual text of the bill earlier this week.

The bill would end Obama’s tax penalties on people who don’t buy insurance – effectively ending the so-called individual mandate – and on larger companies that don’t offer coverage to their workers, according to AP.

It would offer less generous subsidies for people than Obama’s law but provide billions to states and insurance companies to buttress markets that in some areas have been abandoned by insurers, and has language blocking federal money Planned Parenthood.

Democrats said the measure would result in skimpier policies and higher out-of-pocket costs for many and erode gains made under Obama that saw roughly 20 million additional Americans gain coverage.

  1. Not only do the satanic Left insist on “doing as they will,” they want us to pay for their “do as they will”. That’s chutzpah. And we are fools if we concede to it.

    • They want their lifestyles underwritten and a magic solution to any unfortunate consequence. Gays want a cure for their specific diseases so they can continue, feminists want sex on demand free of any risks in order to be premiscious and the left wants power given to them on a silver platter because it brings wealth and control without loss. It all boils down to the self and proves the Biblical adage that the hearts of men are wicked.

    • I keep coming back to my memories of how this started. First it was a big “win” for “women” that they could avoid the coat hanger. There were strings attached. One had to consult a clergyman and/or psychologist.

Then “Planned Parenthood” sold themselves as a “woman’s health” agency. They would (in theory) recommend adoption, provide assistance for women who wished to keep their babies, etc..

Now look. This is how all these things end up. It is insidious. “Women’s health” is a euphemism for “abortion”. Abortion is a form of birth control. Women ‘have a right to murder”. Do the poor, defenseless infants have rights?

Worse, they have been caught laughing and joking about killing babies for body parts. How does one get under that? It’s as low as a person can go. People who engage in things like that have surrendered their personhood.

  2. Celebrities should donate directly to Planned Abortionhood if they feel so strongly about this cause.

I would think a woman’s right to decide “their own bodily future” was fulfilled when they agree to, or submit to intercourse.

Does not most unwanted pregnancies result from foolish casual or non-commital.sex?

  4. Every time this issue comes up, I am flabbergasted, even the stupidest of people surely know that pregnancies result from having sexual intercourse. If you make that personal choice . . . . WHY DOES IT BECOME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GOVERNMENT VIA THE TAXPAYERS TO BAIL YOU OUT OF A CHOICE THAT YOU HAVE MADE????? Yes, we all know that we are responsible for Fifi, our darling poodle, who get’s out and does the wild thing . . . but then she is an animal, and does not have the reasoning power of a human being. Did anybody ask me if I wanted them to procreate? No, they didn’t . . . then they should be responsible entirely for the situation they find themselves in. Birth control methods are plentiful, and rather cheap . Must we assume that these same people who need/want abortions are so imbecilic that they are incapable of “pre-planning” for that momentous romp in the hay? It floors me that Hollyweird is so full of dullards that they just cannot imagine that individuals have the responsibility of taking care of their own needs and wants. I say boycott them all! Who wants to see people of such low intelligence cavort across the silver screen for our entertainment? Certainly, not I….

  5. I will agree with Steinem, women do have a right to their own bodies but her choice of words are misleading. A fetus is not the woman’s body, it is a separate, living being. While it nurtures from the woman it still retains separate form, organs and mind. Prevention, if a woman wishes, is much less expensive and more readily available. It is also her responsibility if she choses to live a lifestyle where pregnancy is a hazard to her. So, if it is her body then she should be 100% responsible for it including birth control. If the collective must be responsible through tax funding then it is only right, by logic, they get a say so in what she does with her body. That includes refusal of health care in case of emergency life or death situations. We could vote death and be as fair using her line of thinking because we get a say so when she demanded we pay. Rights are not all one way streets flowing solely to a recepient.

  6. Hollywood still retains its iron grip on the souls of its entertainers, so it seems.
God, on the other hand, SHALL NOT be mocked. We’re paying a price for contraception and abortion, and that is changing demographics. The West shall contracept and abort itself out of existence, but Islam WILL NOT. This is fitting vengeance for an amoral civilization of death:

“Behold I am Jehovah God. Those who love Me love Life, and those who hate Me love Death!”

I hope we’re not here when it reaches the “critical mass.”

  7. I don’t believe we have to pay for others mistakes. We are resposible adults and the free will in women is not for carrying a life and dispose of it at will. We are not mistakes, we are here because God gave us the opportunity of being.

  10. Cecile Richards and all of her murderous cohorts should be serving life without parole for not only killing human beings in cold blood, but selling their body parts for profit.

  11. So one hand, they want to be woman, hear me roar, until it comes time to coughing up $10 a month to stop an unwanted pregnancy. On the other hand, they want it to be the responsibility of others to pay for their behavior.
Good grief women, if you stop buying two Starbucks a month, one tattoo a year or having your nails done you could pay your own way. If you depend on food stamps because you refuse to work to pay your way, I would rather you all have tubal ligations, because you don’t deserve to be a parent.
Since when is anyone’s personal behavior anyone else’s responsibility but the offender.
That is like demanding someone pay for your alcohol because you chose to drink or for someone to pay for your car insurance because you choose to drive.
You say it is your body, so act like it.
At least learn the rhythm method, it isn’t hard.
This is just another made up campaign to blame conservatives for the ills of the world. Grow up, no one wants to listen to you any longer.
It would be hard to find many women that couldn’t cough up $10 a month. If she is duly poor, her Medicare and medicaid should be covered already.

  12. Steinem says ‘choice’ is, “…the most basic of all human rights”.
Wrong. LIFE is the most basic of all human rights.

  13. What if there was a law that requires an Application to obtain an abortion? If the reason isn’t sufficient or “legitimate”,no abortion. How many of their reasons/excuses would hold up to Legal scrutiny?

  14. Abortion is not healthcare. If PP would stop doing abortions then maybe I could see funding them. BTW birth control is free to every woman. Put a dime between your knees. Abstinence has always been free. And since when was sex entertainment or a past-time for anybody but hookers and johns. ? All behavior has either consequences or rewards. Which do you want? Either way PAY FOR IT YOURSELF and leave me out of it.
