Feminism: Vogue magazine tells women to be witches

Vogue is a women’s fashion magazine.

But in a June 19, 2017 article by contributing editor Christina Perez, the fashion magazine is urging women frustrated by “the current [Trump] administration” to “awaken your inner witch” and “feminist powers”.

Vogue‘s Perez quotes Lisa Lister, author of a recently-published book, Witch: Unleashed. Untamed. Unapologetic:

“For so long it’s [witch] been a term that’s been used to demonize, stigmatize, and repress women. But right now, the word is being reclaimed.

Women across the globe are actively using the word ‘witch’ as a way to describe themselves because the witch is waking. The part of us that’s been anesthetized, domesticated, tamed, and kept numb by food, shopping, alcohol, and drugs is now awakening within us. We are re-membering the dis-membered parts of being a woman—who we all were before patriarchy put all our fierce and feminine powers into the darkness, called them taboo, and then taught us all to be afraid of the dark.”

Asked to define what a “witch” is, Lister said:

A witch is a woman in her power. She’s wise, a healer—someone who is aligned with the cycles of nature and the phases of the moon. She’s in touch with the dark. She knows how to witness, how to let things go, how to follow her own counsel. Every woman is a witch, whether she knows it or not. She’s cyclic, she’s powerful, she can embrace nature to heal herself and her community. In other words, she is magic.”

Lister then describes a “simple” ritual to awaken a woman’s “inner witch”:

  • Make a Yoni Mudra triangle over your womb (lower abdomen) with your hands by placing the tips of your thumbs together and the tips of your first fingers together. Yoni means sacred temple in Sanskrit.
  • Loudly chant “I call back my power now” three times.
  • Bring your hands to your hearts and say: “So mote it be” — which seems to be Wicca’s equivalent of “Amen”.

Reporting for LifeSiteNews, June 22, 2017, Claire Chretien points out that there is a growing, worldwide anti-President Trump movement that encourages people to cast “binding spells” on him, invoking the assistance of “demons of the infernal realms” and other spirits. The anti-Trump “spell” contains similar language to witch Lisa Lister’s ritual. Anti-Trump witches most recently encouraged people to curse Trump on June 21, the summer solstice.

  2. truly satanic….obama’s so-called “presidency” pushed evil from the shadows to parade against Christianity/normalcy. 10 years ago, these satanists would not have been given any kind of platform, let alone a rag of a national magazine cover

  3. This democratic liberal behavior proves the issues are NOT political but a war against good and evil. Lisa is doing nothing short of calling women to satan’s side. These are Godless people. A pig never wallows in the mire alone but calls for the group to join in the mud.

  4. Salem 1692, more than 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft—the Devil’s magic. 2017 Vogue is urging women to be witches, sorry, I think they mean “bitches” say Miley, Madonna, Rosie O’butch, etc. DUMP VOGUE, donate the money to abused women.

  5. Nothing says Anti Trump more than condemning your soul to everlasting torment. BYW, Vogue is great for lining your cats litter box except for the rare occasions when the cat may read it. It causes distemper.

  6. This is just another instance of a commercial enterprise trying to sway us politically . . . why in blue blazes can’t they just stop at putting out a magazine! I don’t need their help in schooling me in political matters.

  8. I am an eclectic solitary witch and have been for upwards of 60+ years. This article is an affront to true witchcraft as all witches know the Rede – do yet no harm. And gathering to curse Trump….gather to help heal the planet and all discourses. Sand I suggest strongly that everyone research witchcraft very thoroughly -it carries great responsibilities and the code is “love”.

    • The God you worship is Satan. He takes truth and mix it with evil. The time is short for him and knows it. Those who do not accept Jesus is condemned to damnation, John 5. Satan is the creator of lies. You have not read the Bible but believe only what you’re told to believe. Violence is all around which is Satan’s love. He hates God, His creation and goes to extremes to destroy it. Why curse Trump? God Himself says He chooses kings and princes according to His discerning. Take a good look around the globe and what do you see? Anarchy prevails name the sins you see and tell me it is good for mankind. Cursing Trump is passing judgement which only Jesus is to do. He said judge not lest we be judged in like manner.

  9. Yet another homely, butch, miserable dyke who destroyed any chance for personal happiness through her embrace of feminism and witchcraft wants to lead other women down the same ill-fated path.
This really has nothing to do with ’empowerment’ and everything to do with S@t@nism.
The most effective weapons against this madness are prayer, fasting, and maintaining personal holiness through obedience to the Ten Commandments and the desire to do God’s will in one’s own life. The Rosary and Chaplet of St. Michael are particularly efficacious prayers against S@t@nism and its works – especially when said daily, persistence counts!
Pray especially for the babies and the pre-born who are regularly offered up in blood sacrifice to advance the S@t@nic agenda.

  10. “Yoni means sacred temple in Sanskrit.”

That’s not exactly what it means. Hint, she already has one, near her lower abdomen.

    Or, is objectivity too sexist?

The witch was supposed to effect measurable change, in the material world, besides committing fashion crimes and having Maoist struggle sessions. Moral free agents, in the tradition of Albert Pike, would not be playing politics, expecting both sides to engage in mutually assured destruction.

    • Are you referring to Starhawk?

“Women across the globe are actively using the word ‘witch’ as a way to describe themselves because the witch is waking. I read this kind of drivel when I was looking into what the New Age was about 25 plus years ago. It was drivel then, and it is drivel now. I see it as the female equivalent of ” We wuz Kangs” Building oneself up with fiction and by bashing the other, in this case males. I do believe that Starhawk is not only Jewish, but a Lesbian too. I don’t know how much power these pathetic creatures really wield with these rituals they do, but frankly I am more concerned about the genuine negative energy being directed at Trump by all the vicious liberals and their calls for killing him. Isn’t that the real witchcraft going on here? Desire, plus intent, plus energy, equals manifestation. That’s what is going on every time one of these losers does something like what Kathy Griffin did; she even added the sympathetic magic by using the effigy. And the fact that there have been no repercussions in the form of arrests doesn’t help matters.

  16. Release your inner witch and then go to the Middle East where they will literally burn you alive for practicing witchcraft. But these feminists don’t have any problem with Muslim barbarians. They only hate white Western men.

  19. God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

  25. I would say that whoever she is, that Lisa person isn’t much of a witch, probably picked up some of that silver ravenwolf garbage at some barnes & noble or something, she also fails at linguistics: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=yoni&allowed_in_frame=0 its old hindu for the female genitalia, has nothing to do with a “temple”. Not to mention they should know better than to go and try to cast a curse.
