Starbucks customer says she was bullied for supporting Trump

starbucks cup bullied for trump support

Just one of many reasons to boycott Starbucks and libtards.

From Fox46: (CHARLOTTE, NC) – On a day when lawmakers from both sides of the aisle in Washington are asking Americans to unite, a loyal Starbucks customer says she was targeted for supporting Donald Trump. Starbucks said they are making sure this incident won’t happen again.

“I don’t know what politics has to do with getting a cup of coffee,” Kayla Hart said.

Hart walked in to Starbucks on East Boulevard in Dilworth on Wednesday morning, wearing a Donald Trump t-shirt. Instead of being greeted with a smile, Kayla said the cashier laughed and her order was labeled with a political message, mocking her support for the president.

“They shouted out build a wall and shoved a drink at me and then all the barisatas in the back started cracking up laughing,” said Hart.

The commotion caught the attention of nearby customers. “I just walked out because everyone was staring,” Hart said.

Hart believes she was bullied for wearing her Donald Trump t-shirt. She immediately emailed Starbucks customer service. “I just found it really sad that I can’t wear a t-shirt with our president without being made fun of,” Hart said.

FOX 46 Charlotte also reached out to Starbucks to get results. The station received the following response:

We failed to meet this customer’s expectations of us, and we have apologized and are working directly with her to make it right. This experience is not consistent with our standards or the welcoming and respectful experience we aim to provide every customer who visit [sic] our stores. We have spoken with our store partners about this situation and are using this as a coaching opportunity for the future,” Starbucks said in a statement.

Kayla said she also heard from Starbucks. “This isn’t me trying to get people to stop going to Starbucks. I just want it to be put out there so people know this is what’s occurring. I don’t think it’s right you should be humiliated for wearing a t-shirt with your opinion on it,” Hart said.  Hart said she is still waiting to hear from the Starbucks district manager before making a decision if she will return to the coffee shop.

  1. Why would any “conservative” give these guys a dime. Piss poor, overpriced swill.

  2. The staff at that Starbucks at 1401 E. Blvd., Charlotte, NC, should be fired. Unless there are consequences to their vicious behavior, the Left will never change.

One thing good about the 2016 election is that the Right have begun to fight back. We no longer and will no longer be passive, thinking that we can take the high road. Decades of our passivity and civility simply emboldened the Left, making them the monsters they are today.

Here’s that Starbucks’ phone no. and Yelp page:

I can assure you; if I were treated in such manner, they would be wearing their coffee. I would just keep the cup as a memento, or evidence if needed.

    • Yeah, but that’s the emotional response, and they’d probably try to have you arrested for it. The smart thing to do would be to ignore their idiocy, “drop” the coffee, then “slip” and fall in it. Then call out the local media and a good personal injury lawyer. And be sure the media get good clear shots of your t-shirt AND the label on the cup while groaning about the pain in your back and ankle. And say something about how you’ll never be able to play concert piano again or whatever. Let the media know you were just so upset when you saw the label and heard the laughter, that you stumbled as you hurried to leave. Or heck, say they threw it at you. They’ll write you a quick settlement check. Passive aggression pays off.

  4. When you have had a CEO who publicly disrespects THE President, what else would you expect from the street level workers. These barisatas (?) are suppose to be selling coffee and not running their mouths at ANY customer especially about their political views. A for me, the whole crew “involved” in this incident would be looking for new jobs!

  5. they don’t believe other people have a right to their own opinion….deranged mob mentality…
I stopped going to starbucks years ago when the ceo said anyone who doesn’t support gay “marriage” can stop buying their coffee and sell their stocks (my husband found better coffee elsewhere)…
what a change today, from businesses competing for your dollar a couple decades ago, to having a sanctimonious attitude that you should be grateful they are offering their services while expecting you to jump on the sociopolitical bandwagon while throwing your money at them.
Yeah, I’ll pass on that liberal tears coffee….Lord knows what else they put in it when they find out you don’t support their “causes”…..there’s a reason they were laughing in the background….very narcissistic, brainwashed and immature behavior for a business and its associates.

  6. Overpriced and pretentious. Their swill can be beat at any real coffee house, ie not a chain. taht being said, it’s nice to have a capitalist wall street franchise where domestic enemies can congregate and leave Americans to their real coffee houses.

  7. Apparently they think the quality of their “coffee” doesn’t have to be good-it’s not about the coffee. It’s about being seen there, being ABLE to spend 4 bucks for whatever that is that they call coffee. For two more dollars I buy enough coffee to last me a month, and MINE is FAR better.

    • That’s exactly right! It’s a pretentious, pseudo-suave enclave to sit around and observe the other zombies who believe they’ve “made it”. It’s perfect for your basic penis-with-ears.

Why go to a place peopled by shallow, mindless idiots who have no grace?

    • if you wear an Obama shirt into a Starpukes you will be treated like a prince.

Maybe one day the snowflakes will wake up and smell the real coffee of reality.

        • Nope, that “erotic seduction” doesn’t fly with me. “The states that we experience such as, attraction, lust, passion, hate…etc. are states of process that takes place within the mind and that they can be summoned forth and directed at will.”

And that has absolutely nothing to do with a t-shirt or your inability to debate a message on said t-shirt. Try that hypnosis crap on someone else who believes (or not). This girl is not buying your bullshit.

    • The U.S. is founded on the principles of pluralism of the “market place” of ideas, and on minority rights — that those who lost an election nevertheless retain their Constitutional rights and liberties, so that they may fully participate in the next election and perhaps win.

In post-2016 election America, Dems are not content with having had 8 years of Obama — years in which the Right did NOT issue death threats against Obama & the Dems, pose with a mockup of Obama’s decapitated head, or assault Dems in peaceful demonstrations with bike locks or other weapons, or by setting their hair on fire. But when self-described “tolerant” Dems lost the 2016 election, they resort to terrorism against the Right, instead of abide by the rules of the American Republic and wait their turn in the next election. What Dems want is PERMANENT rule over America.

You, “True George,” are part of the reason why America is in the sewers. You have no new ideas to contribute to this forum, and by your comment rationalizing and justifying Starbucks’ reprehensible conduct toward a pro-Trump American, you’ve shown you have little of fellowship with the Fellowship of the Minds.

  9. I’ll be damned if I am going to cough up six bucks for something I can make at home for 15 cents.

Buy a really nice stainless steel coffee mug, and it will pay for itself before the end of the first week.

I have two of the things. 🙂

    • I don’t care for the Stainless mugs-they’re nice to use,but 90% of the time,I have to nuke my coffee, and using the fancy mug adds 2-3 more steps to my goal of hot coffee NOW. For me Plastic rules, but they’re getting hard to find with sealable lids. (I tend to knock things over…)

  10. >>… “We failed to meet this customer’s expectations of us”…

No, Starbucks! Actually, you precisely lived down to our expectations of you! Good job. As the saying goes: “The best surprise is NO surprise”. And your actions certainly did not surprise me.

    Starbucks? More like “Commuknucks”.

  11. If anyone thinks Starbucks was sincere in their apology, need to study their history of disrespect and encouraging their employees to behave in such a manner.
Sadly, so many companies do not put good customer service value anywhere close to how they cherish their profits.

  13. Two things: hope this woman and anyone else who is offended by the crass non-commercial politicalization of her cup of coffee finds other ways/places to spend the cash and….Did she actually PAY FOR this product delivered to her in such a publicly demeaning and hateful way? I’d have walked out and immediately called the company even before getting in my car.

Well…there is a third thing….anyone who follows this blog knows that I am a teacher. Trump supporters/defenders are silenced and bullied by the other “colleague” teachers at my school every day. I even have very YOUNG students who come to school spewing the hate and violence that they are hearing at home and on the TV: I had an 11-yr-old 6th grader sneak up in the middle of my direct instruction and place a note under my “Elmo” (overhead projector) that said, “F__K Trump” so that the whole class saw it. I can not have a political discussion or anything that appears to resemble it with a student/students…BUT, I did give consequences for vile language and inappropriate references to another human being in public, let alone interrupting a lesson. I did not call home because, he BROUGHT the behavior from home and I did not want to have another disgusting and futile conversation about Trump or any other public person with this kid’s parents or guardians.

    • When I was teaching highschool, I was called a racist by students for refusing to tell who I voted for.

      • 🙂 smiling here RL…..I get called a “racist” if I change a student’s seating in order to stop them from disrupting lessons/class. It’s a “standard” charge these days, a “catchall” that, evidently, the kids are learning from home by age 6 or 7. My standard reply is…”Yes, Yes…I am ALL FOR THE HUMAN RACE.”
