Puppy refuses to leave owner injured in fall

On Saturday, May 13, 2017, while pruning a tree outside his home in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, Jesus Hueche fell 6 feet down onto the concrete sidewalk, hitting his head, and momentarily lost consciousness.

His puppy Tony draped his little body over Hueche, and stayed with his owner until the ambulance arrived.

The puppy was so protective of Hueche that he barked and bared his teeth at the ambulance workers, and continued to hug Hueche all while the paramedics were putting a neck brace on the injured man.

Tony even tried to climb into the ambulance to go with his owner.

Medics posted online the pictures of the loyal puppy, which quickly went viral.

Luckily, Hueche escaped serious injuries, with a minor head wound and swelling in his neck, and was soon reunited with his loyal dog.

Hueche told a local news channel, “One day we saw [the puppy] on the street and adopted him, gave him love, food and is part of our family. For me he’s like a son.”

Clearly, the love is mutual.

  1. How can anyone deny the love of our four legged creatures. God so blessed us with them. One needs only to read Job to understand what a blessing we have in them. Romans 8:21-23 gives us a good idea that all these creatures know about God as well.

  6. My grandfather’s best advice ever on how to determine ones’ true friends (of the two legged variety) was “A friend in need is a friend indeed”. This kind of discernment is not needed with 4 legged friends…good boy!

  7. It seems to me that a dog is the only animal that will sacrifice its own feelings for his owner!
