This is Chiraq: Four teens shot in four hours

Year to date: 1,295 people shot in Chiraq. Rahm must be so proud.

From Chicago Tribune: Four teenage boys were shot over four hours in Chicago, including a 16-year-old killed in the South Shore neighborhood, according to police.

The 16-year-old was shot in the head around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 7700 block of South Marquette Avenue on the South Side, police said. Officers responding to a call about gunfire found the boy on the ground outside, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On the West Side, two other boys, 14 and 17, were shot around 1:15 a.m. Thursday in the Little Village neighborhood, apparently with a rifle, police said. Officers responding to a call about gunfire found the boy on the ground outside, police said.

The boys were in a maroon truck near 25th Street and Trumbull Avenue when another vehicle pulled up and someone opened fire, police said.  The older teen was wounded in the back, and the other boy was wounded in the foot.  They were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.

Rifle casings could be seen near the intersection where the shooting took place. Less than two miles away at Mount Sinai, officers surrounded the truck that was pocked with several large bullet holes.

On the West Side just before 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, another 14-year-old boy was seriously wounded in the South Austin neighborhood, police said. He was walking in the 200 block of North Lockwood Avenue when someone opened fire, hitting him in the chest. He was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital.

  1. With all of this wholesale slaughter going on . . . I am only surmise that Chicago mothers must feel profound panic anytime their children leave their homes to go outside. The fact that these killings just go on and on and on, causes me great gratitude for the fact that my grandparents choose to settle in Portland, Oregon, rather than Chicago, Illinois.

DCG . . . thank you for your faithfulness in continuing to report to us the awful state of things in Chicago . . . Somehow, these continued deaths just strikes terror in my heart, although I do not know these people . . . this situation is a horrible blight on our nation.

  2. Obviously the answer is for all guns to be banned so then only criminals who by definition do not obey law as well as the state will be armed. This ensures defenseless victims for criminals in and out of office.

  3. Article needs an edit. The same sentence “Officers responding to a call about gunfire found the boy on the ground outside, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.” appears in two different paragraphs about 2 different incidents. Please make the correction.

    • tcjudi . . . Perhaps I have just lost it . . . why would you ask DGC to edit and make a correction of an article that originally appeared in the Chicago Tribune? Would it not be more appropriate to contact the Chicago Tribune and complain about the poor writing skills of their reporter?

  4. Just build walls around black areas. We don’t wish to appropriate their culture nor interfere in their routine cultural activities. Rather give them room to celebrate their own traditions.

    • Lol cities like Omaha built hiways from the ghetto to the more upscale parts (Sorensen Parkway), and wanted to make city bus fare from the ghetto to west Omaha free because apparently west Omaha is low on thugs.

  10. When you have a Jewish mayor involved in Talmudic Judaism then you no longer wonder why things are the way they are. His name means Supreme god with us. He has no love for Gentiles, especially black ones. Read what the bible says about these people,
    Revelation 2:9
    Revelation 3:9
    John 8
    John 7
    Jeremiah 31:31
