Homeowner’s son shoots, kills three would-be burglars

second amendment3That’s how we roll in Oklahoma…

From Fox News: Three would-be robbers were shot and killed Monday when an Oklahoma homeowner’s son opened fire on them with an AR-15, authorities said.

Wagoner County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home in Broken Arrow, southeast of Tulsa at around 12:30 p.m. local time. When they arrived, they found the three dead suspects and two uninjured residents.

Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Nick Mahoney said the suspects entered the home through a glass back door with the intent to burglarize it. It was not immediately clear why they picked that home.

Mahoney said the suspects encountered the homeowner’s 19-year-old son, who opened fire after an exchange of words. Two of the suspects died in the home’s kitchen while a third was found in the driveway.

It was not immediately clear whether the suspects were armed, but Mahoney said the preliminary investigation indicated the shootings were in self-defense. The homeowner’s son volunteered to give a statement at the sheriff’s office.

This is very, very unusual for us [in Wagoner County],” Mahoney told the Tulsa World. “It’s not something we’re used to.”

  2. UPGRADE this young mans shooting badge to EXPERT! He did what was necessary to protect his home and family. These punks should have been working at a real job instead of breaking into some hard working citizens home. The sad part about it is their families will probably sue saying they were not trying to steal they were just lost! You can bet that President Trump will not call the thugs parents nor go to their funerals!

  4. I can see it now , …….If the perps were one of the protected classes of people the anti-gun crowd will claim the poor misguided youth never had a chance going up against such an evil weapon of war .

Actions have consequences ……The 3 perps actions got them killed , the 19 year old who eliminated them from the gene pool was the consequence . Don’t you just love a happy ending !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess they’ll never do that again , hehehehe

  5. This should be a message to some of our citizens . . . . . there are just some “professions” that are really dangerous! Those who make their living by burglarizing the homes of others should take heed.

Although, I am sure this may be traumatic for this young man . . . he did the right thing.

  9. I just read the comments in the news article. Sounds like those folks are pretty forgiving of burglars. Seems to me if the residents had ended up full of knife punctures, the burglary business would be on the rise;thanks to this young man though,I think maybe the opposite will happen.

  10. If there were more armed homes, then burglary would be more of a,..high risk,..enterprise, for the would be, burglars & there would be a lot less of it.

And, it should go, without saying, that,..”The only good burglar is a dead burglar,.”.

    • iconordic . . . . . I could not agree more! “The only good burglar is a dead burglar.” Then folks could feel safe in their homes, and the tax payers are relieved of the onerous task of paying the “upkeep” on these anti-social beings.

  11. Front page news. Post it in the hood for all the would be criminals to see. And put the burgular’s heads on a pike as a warning to others. Maybe they’ll get the idea that honosty is the best policy. I’m just sick of this crap. It needs to be met with an overwhelming force.

  13. Regardless. with with them being armed, it was most likely a kill or be killed scenario. I am glad the good won.

  14. I’m hearing they’re looking to see if the shooter can be charged with anything. Nice. Defend yourself from armed criminals who broke into your home and threatened you and your family, and then you have to defend yourself from the state.

  15. OK, OKlahoma, let’s check this out. Your law officers say that “This is very, very unusual for us [in Wagoner County],” Mahoney told the Tulsa World. “It’s not something we’re used to.”

Just what is it that you’re not used to?

Is it break-ins? Is it homeowners/residents defending themselves? Is it stupid, perhaps troubled mid-teenagers going on crime sprees? Just what could it be?
