President Trump punks Rachel Maddow: 2005 tax return shows Trump paid a higher tax rate than Obama & Sanders

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow is having a cow today.

Yesterday, Maddow sent out a teaser tweet, saying that she would soon reveal Donald Trump’s 2005 1040 tax form:

BREAKING: We’ve got Trump tax returns. Tonight, 9pm ET. MSNBC. (Seriously).

Maddow’s tweet got the Left salivating. One of Maddow’s followers Jester Actual @th3j35t3r tweeted this:

Whoaaa Stop now Maddow. My penis can only get so hard, lady. (Please be true… please be true).

For Maddow to do so, of course, is a felony because the unauthorized release or publishing of federal tax returns is a criminal offense, punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 and up to five years in jail.

But President Trump, said by some to be a master at playing 3D (three-dimensional) chess, jumped the gun by releasing his 2005 tax form before Maddow.

Worse still for Maddow and the Left is what Trump’s 2005 tax form says.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, in 2005, Trump earned $152.7 million and paid $38.4 million in income taxes, which is an effective tax rate of 25.1%. That’s a higher tax rate than:

  • Most people in his income group: In 2005, those among the top 0.1% of taxpayers had an average tax rate of 22.48%, according to data from the Tax Foundation.
  • Obama‘s 19.5% in 2014. (Fox News)
  • Mitt Romney‘s 14.1% tax rate in 2011. (ZeroHedge)
  • Bernie Sanders the socialist’s 13.5% in 2014. (ZeroHedge)

Ed Morrissey of Hot Air points out the idiocy of Maddow and her source, Pulitzer prize-winning journalist David Cay Johnston, who runs the website

[M]edia outlets shouldn’t rush everything that they get in the mail to print — or onto prime-time TV…..

In this case, that rush to publicize is doubly mystifying, because the clear content of the tax returns does nothing but help Trump. Democrats accused Trump of paying no taxes for almost 20 years, and that his business success was all a sham. Yet here in the middle of that period is proof that Trump paid a 25% tax rate on an reported annual 2005 income of $150 million — nifty proof that both narratives are false. Maddow and Johnston rushed this to air as if it were the Pentagon Papers, leading one to question whether they bothered to read the tax returns at all.

Johnston said he received the documents in the mail, unsolicited. But President Trump tweeted at 3:55 AM this morning that he doubts Johnston’s account:

“Does anybody really believe that a reporter, who nobody ever heard of, ‘went to his mailbox’ and found my tax returns? @NBCNews FAKE NEWS!”

That put Johnston on the defensive. Speaking to ABC’s Good Morning America, Johnston said it’s entirely possible that he received the returns from Trump himself or someone close to him because “Donald has a long history of leaking things about himself.”

If so, then President Trump masterfully punked Johnston and Maddow.

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!

By the way, why does Rachel Maddow’s throat look like she’s had her Adam’s Apple shaved off?

  1. If this report is true I hope president Trump presses charges against Maddow-who is a 5th column provocateur, who is not a real reporter, but a soldier, with an agenda to alter your perception of politcs, and bring in the new World Order

obama would have been pilloried long ago if such scrutiny of his records, records of every sort, would have been given such attention. Well actually he is deserving of much more than just the humiliation of a day in stocks. He should be left until the buzzards clean his bones. Much of our media deserve the same.

  3. Who cares? Really. If Mr. Trump follows the letter of the tax law then I would think that makes him smart. Not criminal. If you don’t like the law, change it. the tax laws are designed to allow the rich to take advantage of loopholes. And loopholes don’t apply to the average taxpayer.

  5. Judging from the look on his face in that picture, I think MR. Madcow is having difficulty with Toni the Tampon. He looks like he is in pain!

      • Oh yes, pained expression indeed!

Reminds me of 35 years ago when I FINALLY had to allow my GP & surgeon to operate on my anal hemorrhoids. Afterwards I got to wear a Kotex pad for three days for post-op bleeding. Do I have empathy? YES, but not for Ricky Madcow: s/he made his bed and now gets to sleep in it, for as long as s/he & Caitlynn Jenner can stand it [NO, do NOT sit on it post-op!].

How much fun can I have w/a libtard? Let me count the ways….

    • And yes, to follow on your remark, Maryaha, I quite agree that Mr Ricky Madcow is having some difficulty with the last stage of his>her transgender procedures. All his money, and s/he couldn’t get a better cutter? I mean, of course, a cosmetic sturgeon! Something fishy’s going on here….

  6. I rather doubt that this stunt by Maddow earned her any increase in her popularity . . . since it made her look like a certified fool! I kind of like that, since she is a libtard!

  8. The more she tried to sell her scam, the worse it was. Clearly, it was a day she should have stayed home in bed.
Dr. To answer your question, yes, I noticed the throat also. I guess it goes with her confession a while back admitting she is male and has the IQ of room temperature.

  9. I believe Madcow is a woman. And again, I say she is fronting her ideology based on her lesbianism. This is what makes her fundamentally dishonest and untrustworthy. And despite my hearing deficits, I have heard her (unfortunately), and I resent her old school marm chiding of her listeners. So I move on to bigger and better things.
P.S.: The People’s Cube is a great and witty site! Love it!

  10. Please forgive my comment in advance….I’ve had a long week and a LONG Friday in the (teaching) trenches…& I’m also deep into fatigue from Displays of Democratic Personality Disorder (DDPD) that have been going on since election night:

I don’t know if Rachel Maddow is a DIKE…but I DO KNOW for certain by her present and previous professional product that she is a certified DICK.
