Chili’s restaurants hold fundraisers for Planned Parenthood

Earlier this week, Chili’s restaurants in Indiana and Kentucky partnered with Planned Parenthood to promote the killing of unborn human beings by encouraging diners to participate in vouchers donating 15% of their pre-tax meal purchases to the abortion mill.

The blowback from pro-lifers was swift.

LifeNews reports that after pro-lifers complained, Chili’s has canceled the Planned Parenthood fundraiser.

On Thursday, January 26, the corporate office of Chili’s Grill & Bar told LifeNews that the abortion fundraiser has been cancelled, and that the decision to engage in the Planned Parenthood fundraiser was made by a local franchise partner not by the national corporate office:

“At Chili’s, we have a longstanding history and take pride in giving back to unite our local communities together. We recognize every community is unique, and encourage our restaurant managers and franchise partners to support causes that help bring communities together and leave a positive impact on our valued Guests, neighbors, friends and families we serve.

Yesterday, we learned that an independent franchise partner of Chili’s in Indiana and Kentucky made the decision to host a Chili’s Give Back Event on behalf of Planned Parenthood Indiana and Kentucky. While our franchise partner had the best intentions; we have received growing feedback and concern from community members regarding the Give Back Event. This feedback does not reflect Chili’s focus on bringing communities together and the event was never intended to be viewed as a partisan event or political statement, therefore we, along with our franchise partner, have decided to cancel the event.

We will more clearly communicate the focus of Chili’s charitable giving efforts, so that our restaurant managers and franchise partners can feel empowered to support local organizations that bring communities together.”

Blah, blah, blah.

LifeNews points out that this is not the first time that Chili’s has been involved in donation drives for Planned Parenthood.

A Chili’s restaurant in California had also set up a fundraiser for a local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic but eventually cancelled it after pro-life advocates complained. But pro-lifer Wynette Sills told LifeNews that although the fundraiser was canceled, a Chili’s restaurant at 3870 Truxel Rd, Sacramento, CA, nevertheless made a $200 donation to Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Sacramento chapter, as “compensation” for the last minute cancellation.

  1. Looks like My family and I will never darken the doors of a Chili’s ever again. Seems like some companies never learn!

  2. I despise this restaurant rate it zero, and like many “casual dining” places, service is lousy, no cashier, have to pay waitress with correct change, loud music and loud talking. Ditto: Logan’s roadhouse, Outback, etc. We don’t go to any of these type places to incl fast food MdD, other greasy junk food.. stick with mom and pop quiet dining places or take outs from family owned places.

  3. It makes you wonder why Chili’s would care so much about Planned Parenthood. I have heard of Pepsi using “secret ingredients.” I hope Chili’s is not going to the same vendor.

  5. Chili’s corporate doesn’t go far enough. Apparently they knew about this up front. Their comment “therefore we, along with our franchise partner, have decided to cancel the event” is an admission of that knowledge. Along with
    J. C. Penney (ellen degenerate) and Sonic (two “good buddies” in the car) Target (open bathroom policy) and probably too many others to mention, there are a number of business that have signed onto the ‘Destroy Morality in America’ movement. My list of places not to patronize is long and growing. JCP and Target have had to do some backpedaling due to loss of profit. Too late for me I’ll never go back. Buttf***ing and baby murder doesn’t leave much room for going any lower. They’ve been doing some fancy shovel work as they dig their way to hell.

A “Give Back Event”?? That takes some real twisted reasoning.

  7. Poor planning to try and develope this in a conservative state.
This is sad to hear. The Chilis here give us great service and always has enough staff and the food is consistent, unlike many places.
    Gosh, the list keep growing.

  8. In a perfect world, the infamous Roe vs. Wade Decision never would have happened. But it did. And I’m glad I read this article: I haven’t eaten much fast food lately, but I certainly won’t be going to Chili’s. Ever.
Be that as it may, we have to STAY ON TOP of the funding angle of Planned Parenthood, because the corporations and other foundations that support them change from month to month—maybe even from week to week.

Kudos are in order for President Trump’s Executive Order to end funding of abortions in overseas facilities, and for Mr. Pence, for showing up at the pro-life March in Washington personally. I believe America remains under God’s Judgment for this Attack Upon Him and this Crime Against Humanity, and we finally have a President who’s more “Cool Hand Luke” than the past two retarded monkeys who spun our wheels for 16 years! Hopefully more actions are coming! In the meantime, here is another case of “moral suasion” in that the attitudes of the people changing over to the pro-life side will ultimately get the numbers of abortions down. It’s taking longer than God or us want, but the tide, I believe, will change, PROVIDED people understand that it is the demand for contraception that drives the demand for abortion, and NOT the other way around.

  9. Stopped going to Chilis after they put the cameras(And microphones without doubt) at your table, disguised as video screens, etc. Last night went to Olive Garden -same thing. Today Olive Garden vouchers in my e-mail. No more Olive Garden now. Got to be an end of this GLOBALIST scum who think they are God. God no longer bleeds.

  10. Before long we’ll have to drop the list of who to boycott and go with a list of what businesses to SUPPORT. That’s pretty grim.

  12. I’ve stayed away from all national chain restaurants for years. The slop they serve can’t be considered food and the ‘charities’ to which they give money are certainly not where I’d want any of my money to go.

Here is a (probably not complete) list of companies that support Planned Parenthood:

Here is a list of companies that supported sodomite “marriage” before the Supremes ‘interpreted’ the Constitution (yet again).
