Fidel Castro said he was going to Hell – and the nature of evil

What is it with Marxists and Hell?

Saul Alinsky, Obama’s mentor in community organizing agitprop, so admired Lucifer, who became Satan, that he dedicated his book, Rules for Radicals, to Lucifer.

Alinsky dedicated his book, Rules for Radicals, to Lucifer

Alinsky so admired Lucifer/Satan, he wanted to join the demon in Hell. (See “Obama’s Mentor, Saul Alinsky, was a Luciferian”)

In a 1972 Playboy magazine interview, Alinsky professed agnosticism about the existence of God, but said that “whenever anyone asks me my religion, I always say—and always will say— Jewish.” The Playboy interviewer then asked Alinsky if he believed in “any kind of afterlife,” to which Alinsky said:

” . . . if there is an afterlife . . . I will unreservedly choose to go to hell . . . . Hell would be heaven for me. All my life I’ve been with the have-nots. Over here, if you’re a have-not, you’re short of dough. If you’re a have-not in hell, you’re short of virtue. Once I get into hell, I’ll start organizing the have-nots over there. They’re my kind of people.

Clearly, Alinsky knew Hell is, well, hellish, full of bad wicked people who are “short of virtue” — wicked being the antonym or opposite of virtuous. Despite that, he chose Hell because bad wicked people were his “kind of people”.

Another Marxist also prefers Hell — Fidel Castro, Cuba’s longtime dictator who finally died on November 25, 2016 at the ripe old age of 90.

In an interview with Paris Match‘s Jean-Luc Mano in Havana on October 27, 1994, Castro said he was going to Hell. From an FBIS (Foreign Broadcast Information Service) translation of the interview published on lanic:

It is two in the morning. A final word of farewell. [Fidel Castro said] “You know, I’ll go to hell, and I know the heat will be unbearable, but it will be less painful than having expected so much from heaven, which never kept its promises… And also, when I arrive, I will meet Marx, Engels, Lenin… And I will meet you too, as capitalists also go to hell, you know. Especially when they like to enjoy life!”

Like Alinsky, Castro too recognized that Hell would be hellish — “I know the heat will be unbearable”. And yet, like Alinsky, Castro preferred Hell to Heaven. To top it off, Castro blamed Heaven for his going to Hell because “heaven . . . never kept its promises” (whatever that means).

The Paris Match interview also revealed the ridiculous mental contortions Castro took in refusing to be criticized and to be found wanting in any way. Interviewer Mano asked Castro about the Cuban government’s economic failures. Castro answered:

“Cuba cannot be judged in this way. The Revolution includes some tremendous achievements.”

Mano then pushed further and asked about political prisoners. Castro airily replied:

“There are none in Cuba. It is a matter of philosophy. A counterrevolutionary in prison is not a political prisoner.”

In other words, there are no political prisoners in Cuba because of a linguistic trick — Fidel Castro simply refused to call people imprisoned for their political dissent “political prisoners”. What a neat trick! Henceforth, we should tell the world there’s no crime in America because we don’t call crimes “crimes”!

Back to Saul Alinsky, Fidel Castro, and Hell . . . .

Are you as nonplussed as I am that Alinsky and Castro actually preferred Hell, well knowing it would be hellish?

The late Fr. Malachi Martin, in his 1976 book on exorcism, Hostage To The Devil, noted that we instinctively react to evil and evil people with revulsion, and that our repugnance serves a protective function because, feeling repelled by evil people, we naturally seek to avoid them.

By the same reasoning, the opposite must also be true — evil people must also find goodness and good people repugnant.

And so, a simple explanation for why Alinsky and Castro preferred Hell to Heaven is that they are thoroughly evil and prefer to be with Satan and other evil people in Hell. Finding goodness repellent, Alinsky and Castro do not want to be with God, the angels and saints in Heaven. For them, Heaven would be hell.

By the way, the story that Trump talked Obama out of attending Castro’s funeral is a hoax. Shame on sites like The Last Line of Defense (TLLoD) for reporting it as truth. The embedded link to TLLoD‘s supposed AP source doesn’t work. I searched the AP and found AP made no such report. Conveniently, TLLoD has closed that post to comments, so I can’t even write this as a comment there.

It’s sites like The Last Line of Defense that lends fuel to MSM’s — especially the despicable Washington Post — malicious characterization of Alternative Media as “fake news”.

  1. I thought i heard Anton Levay actually begged Jesus for forgiveness on his deathbed after a lifetime of worshiping Satan and only they know if Jesus forgave him. I would advise others not to wait that long. Hard to understand how people can live that life knowing how evil it is and against the true and only God.

    • While LaVey reportedly realized, too late, that he had been wrong about everything, I’m not sure if he actually begged Jesus for forgiveness. According to a woman who was close to LaVey, this was what he said on his deathbed:

“For satanists, at the time of death, it’s a great victory for them because death is a huge thing that they celebrate. And he (LaVey) was getting ready to die and pass on his powers…and on his deathbed, he must have picked up some revelation, angelic appearance or something, and he went into shock and he said, ‘Oh my, oh my. What have I done.” He said there’s something very wrong, there’s something very wrong, there’s something very wrong. His whole life has been spent propagating Satanic beliefs, getting everyone to believe, establishing official organizations for Satanism, and then at the end of his life, he gets this light that comes to him and everything that he felt, he realized, was wrong.”

Jewish by birth, LaVey died in 1997, at age 67, from pulmonary edema, ironically in a S. F. Catholic hospital, St Mary’s, where he had been taken because it was the closest available. A secret Satanic funeral, attended by invitation only, was held in Colma after which LaVey’s body was cremated. 3 months after his death, his estranged daughter Zeena Schreck and her husband published a nine-page fact sheet confirming that much of LaVey’s stories about his life were lies.

  2. Anyone who admires Satan or Lucifer and also believes that Hell is a Good Thing, should be encouraged to depart for it ASAP. If more encouragement is needed, I have a .38 caliber solution to any problem s/he encounters.

  3. The Marxist Totalitarian’s answer is, “Better to Rule in Hell, than serve in Heaven.” All Marxists are cruel, vindictive, barbaric, & murderous dictators. (Even if they try to pretend otherwise like Hillary & Obama.)

Satan’s brothers-in-arms. They expect cushy, hyper-authoritarian jobs torturing the lesser evil people. Their idea of “a sort of heaven”.

  5. I believe these Satanists are deceived by Satan into believing Hell is nothing more than the pleasures of sin without the consequences. Jesus spoke of a place where ‘the worm does not die’, a place of ‘gnashing of teeth’. Some saints were given glimpses of Hell where they saw and heard screaming souls, whose flesh was being torn apart by demons. Who in their right mind would choose to go there is beyond me.

    • Your assertion that most unbelievers are totally deceived about the nature of hell is correct but in this article Castro said I am going to hell and I know the heat will be unbearable. Does he really comprehend what he is saying or is this the talk of someone totally disconnected from reality.

  6. It’s simple. They expect to be the “demons” not the “rendees”. They are Commies with the experience and resumes of torturing those with less power than they, while sucking up to those more evil, and above them in the hierarchy.
    Hell, they might be right.

No way. That’s because in the end, the Devil always betrays those who’d sold their souls to him. It’s his nature, being the father of all lies.

Uh, sarcasm, Doc, sarcasm. We’re talking about Hell here. I tried to make a funny.
Satan is the Father of Lies, and Communism is The Greatest Lie of Western Civilization, and since it is Hell, the Demons serve at Satan’s pleasure, so who are we to say how he picks his “Cabinet” & minions. That is what the Media told us about Obama picking his, right? (But they “disremembered” when it comes to Trump.)
Never fear, like in Communism, the lesser demons are oppressed and tortured by the greater, and so on up the line. Nobody gets away free, but the HMFIC!
(Did it again, but don’t ask me to explain here, in public.)

  9. Saul Alinsky obviously doesn’t know The BIBLE. Lucifer does NOT have his own kingdom He is also NOT in charge of hell. Lucifer roams the earth trying to turn humans from GOD But in the end, he will be cast into the lake of eternal fire with the rest of them. Not in charge as so many devil worshipers think!

    • Says Alinsky, Fidel Castro also don’t know that far from commanding his own Infernal kingdom, The blessed Virgin has her foot on Lucifer’s head. How humiliating for Alinsky, Castro, Stalin, Lenin, Marx and Engles to serve, and be lower, than a lowly reptile powerless under a lady’s little foot !

[1] And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain, and when he was set down, his disciples came unto him. [2] And opening his mouth, he taught them, saying: [3] Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [4] Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land. [5] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

[6] Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. [7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. [8] Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. [9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God. [10] Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

[11] Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake: [12] Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you. [13] You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. [14] You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house.

  11. It is Saul’s misfortune that he did not know what being Jewish involved. For a start, he should have used his mind and spirit in Leviticus 19. Why not all the rest of Leviticus? That was for that time and place and people, and a new law, in place now even if not followed well, was prophesied in Jeremiah 31: 31-33. Saul wants to live in hell? He does not want to be with Israel’s greatest king, David, who wanted to dwell in the house of the Lord forever? Saul preferred the company of Marx, an open enemy of HaShem? Lucifer’s followers are still at work and will be until the prophecy of Isaiah Ben Amoz comes to pass, chapter 24.

  15. If they were so eager to go to hell the best hell would be to put them in limbo. Not in Heaven. Not in hell. And not on earth. Hell deprives you of everything you want or desire. So limbo would be the best place for them to be. And so they can’t enjoy each others company, two different limbos at that!

  18. Thank you Dr. Eowyn for this fascinating post. It is incredible that any person would want to go to hell, including the evil tyrant, Castro, admitting that there is an unquenchable fire in hell wherein obviously, he would receive terrible torture. It is the same sin as Lucifer’s, narcissism-pride, especially when someone believes that even if they go to hell they will flourish; now that’s an interesting sin, isn’t it?

God extends His loving and unending mercy to anyone who has a contrite heart and begs forgiveness, even for the most scarlet of sins which becomes a matter between the soul and Our Lord.

LIFE AFTER DEATH: VISIONS OF HELL

    23 MINUTES IN HELL

  20. WOW. This is absolutely BOMBSHELL. Where should I begin?

First, we must denude ourselves of any and all Romantic delusions in the matter, e.g., William Blake, who declared he could “make a heaven of hell, or a hell of heaven.” (Because this is referred to in the post!) We’re talking about good vs. evil here, and there are no “shades of grey.” We’re talking about ABSOLUTES. Absolutes that are FINAL.

Alinsky says, “(and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins—or which is which)” NAILS his confusion, his conundrum. Yes, let us take Saul Alinsky at his word: He does not know where “mythology leaves off and history begins.” All Right: I can understand that many people are confused. (That DOES NOT MEAN that I approve of that confusion!) THIS IS WHERE “MYTHOLOGY “LEAVES OFF AND HISTORY BEGINS”: HISTORY BEGINS WITH THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST: “If Christ Jesus has not risen from the dead, your faith is in vain,” St. Paul says.

What I am identifying as the ROOT CAUSE of Alinsky’s problem is this: St. Paul makes an attempt to be empirical here. Why do we worship Jesus Christ—because He was a “nice myth”? NO ONE EVER DIED FOR ZEUS OR APOLLO! (Not willingly, at any rate!) NO ONE WILLINGLY DIES FOR WHAT HE KNOWS TO BE A LIE! St. Paul says that if Jesus Christ HAS NOT “risen from the dead,” then we are FOLLOWING A FABLE. In other words, we Christians believe that Jesus Christ actually and really PHYSICALLY ROSE FROM THE DEAD, IN HISTORICAL TIME. This means that Christianity is the ONLY RELIGION IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD THAT IS BASED UPON HISTORICAL FACT.

Saul Alinsky adhered to an ideology that REFUSED TO LOOK AT THIS QUESTION.

All Right, many people do. Is there ANY physical evidence AT ALL, in ALL of History, that we can STUDY? YES, there is: It is called THE HOLY SHROUD OF TURIN.

Long Story Short: I do not do the converting. (I believe I suffer from acedia, and I am in need of prayers—and a firm purpose of amendment, myself.) The Holy Ghost does the conversion. (It could be argued that Jesus Himself does: I will leave that to people more qualified to comment on it than I). But from my perspective, it seems to me that neither the Holy Ghost nor Jesus ever converted ANYONE WITHOUT HIS CONSENT.

Let me put it this way. Have you ever gone to Jury Duty? Yes, it really is an annoyance, an albatross, a burden. But the person who goes to Jury Duty goes in, listens to the witnesses and the testimony, and he weighs the evidence, and goes back to re-examine the testimony. “Who is this defendant? I never knew him!” How True! But there are TWO THINGS to examine: The evidence, on the one hand, and the testimony, on the other. We can look at the evidence, and we can CROSS-EXAMINE the testimony. Or if we cannot cross-examine the testimony DIRECTLY, we can examine the logical or reasonable implications from what is stated.

Simon Greenleaf was a professor at Harvard in the 19th Century, and he was considered to be the World’s foremost authority on the Rules of Evidence. One day a Christian asked this Jew, “Well, do you believe in the Divinity of Jesus or not?” (or in words to that effect). At first he took offense. But he took his questioner up on his offer. He proceeded to study the entire New Testament, and compared and contrasted every statement in it and subjected it to the rules of evidence. It took him some TWENTY YEARS OR MORE, but, in the end, he was CONVINCED.

You Know, it’s peculiar: Many people just don’t believe in God. Yet many of those people DO believe in an afterlife of some sort. So Fidel Castro ADMITTED he would go to Hell: No Surprise here. Castro admitted he would go “to where Karl Marx is.” (As did Mao Tse Tung!) He even admitted that “the heat would be hellish!” (Sylvia Plath’s epitaph reads: “Even in flames the lotus can bloom.”)

Sounds to me that Castro and Alinsky—like all the other commies before them—did not do their homework. They did not go to the source: The Question of the Resurrection’s Historicity. It seems to me that THIS is the ROOT SOURCE of their Inflammation. It was too uncomfortable. It was “above their pay grade.” It was a “conundrum”!

They all suffer from the SCHIZOPHRENIA that Vladimir Lenin summed up PERFECTLY, in a UNIQUE moment of candor: “We hate God because He does not exist. And if He did exist, we would hate Him all the more, because God is not a Communist.”

I BELIEVE that God Exists, and that He exists for a Reason, and that He is Love, and that His Word shall endure LONG AFTER this Universe has faded away. And yet, as much as the Devil cannot get me to Cry Uncle on that point, or on the Point of Christ’s Historical Resurrection, I cannot seem to get on with it. I admit that I am not a particularly honest man, as Conrad has written. But there is something singularly rotten about a lie. As Conrad said, “It is like biting into a piece of rotten fruit.”

Castro—just like all the other commies before him—bit into that rotten fruit, and he settled for it. So do the Rothschilds, the Bushes, many members of the CFR, and all the rest. The Saints have written and spoken: The overwhelming majority of the human race (who have attained to the age of reason) are LOST. The Starting Point is this: DID JESUS CHRIST RISE FROM THE DEAD—YES OR NO? As awful as I am, I SAY YES.

Alinsky and Castro—like Lenin before them—maintain “No.”

    May the Devil take them.
