Via NY Post: Kristin Davis is filled “with terror” for her adopted black child.

I am white. I have lived in white privilege. I thought I knew before adopting my daughter that I was in white privilege, that I understood what that meant,” Davis, 51, recently explained while speaking at The Greene Space in New York City.

Davis adopted daughter Gemma Rose Davis, now 5, in 2011.

“But until you actually have a child, which is like your heart being outside you, and that heart happens to be in a brown body, and you have people who are actively working against your child, it’s hard,” she said. “It fills me with terror.”

That feeling increased after Davis, who campaigned for Hillary Clinton, learned that Donald Trump won the election.

“My initial thoughts on Wednesday morning was that I wanted to move to the woods and learn to shoot a gun,” Davis said. “It makes no sense. I’m fully aware. I’m 100 percent aware that it literally makes no sense … the fear of what is happening and how am I going to make sure that no one hurts my child, even in a subtle way, which was already a fear I had, obviously, but it just became so, so heightened.”

Despite the fears she faces on a daily basis, Davis gives Gemma words of encouragement.

“I have to tell her, ‘Your curls are beautiful, your black skin is beautiful,’” she said. “’You’re beautiful. You’re powerful. You’re a goddess’ … because she needs to know this.”

Davis also makes sure positive figures like Serena Williams are prominently displayed in her home.

  1. The definition of insanity is being divorced from and having a distorted view of reality; not making accurate reality assessments.
By that definition, Hollyweirdos like Kristin Davis are not just drama queens, they are plain insane.

  2. What is with these overpaid, barely talented actresses that have to go on a soapbox and whine about non issues? Kristin, How is this our problem?

  3. Oh I love the ironic twist of the statement, “My initial thoughts on Wednesday morning was that I wanted to move to the woods and learn to shoot a gun.” Why do I think that the day before she would have been protesting the 2nd amendment… but now it suits her delusional thinking. LIberalism is a mental disorder.

  4. Let’s hope that with all the flowery accolades she throws her daughter’s way, that she also instills a sense of “working hard to achieve your goals,” otherwise we will end up with yet another weak wristed, snowflake in our younger generation. I actually think this woman is a dope. That she could look at our society and really think that Trump endangers the life of her daughter is proof of how out of touch she is with reality.

    • Auntie Lulu, you have cut through all the pscho-babble right to the REAL TRUTH: “she also instills a sense of “working hard to achieve your goals,”
Instead of the psycho-babble of always getting “positive reinforcement or the child will be “damaged”, you have basic behaviorism – Grandmother’s Rule: “Do your chores and then you can go out and play.” Children must be taught to take care of their responsibilities, BEFORE they get rewards, or they will never grow into responsible adults.

I admire this woman’s commitment to adopting a “disadvantaged” child, but I suspect it is more Lib “Status Symbol” than for the benefit of the child. Lying to the kid and giving her outrageous expectations is simply cruel. But after about 3 months in school, being around other kids, the kid will probably be smarter than her “mother”.

  6. What the hell is she talking about!?? Trump has been given awards for improving black neighborhoods. Her daughter isn’t in danger of anything! These people acting on totally irrational made up fears are ‘dangerous’!

  9. Agree with above statements. Just wondering if she is even fit to handle any child. Moreover, how on earth did they let her adopt a child considering she is so delusional over raising one in in a Democracy like America. Many kids of color have successfully grown up here despite politics. Look at Oprah or dare I say Obama. She sounds unstable to raise any child.

  12. It must be the fashion bling to do lately for the Hollywood women. Adopting a black child like Bullock, Theron and others. It makes them feel better.
They have put those children into danger the minute they did so and set them down into a fancy school where they will be the outsiders and blacks will consider them traitors. They are all children of a single parent, which also puts a label on them. They are the guilty party.
They also should read up on just how many blacks work for Trump. Their pathetic excuse is nauseating.
Kristin Davis has proven herself an idiot over the years, this is no different.

  14. It just goes to show you who the REAL racists are! If I adopted a black child their color would be the last thing I would focus on, as it is with anyone I see. A respectable person is a respectable person-whatever their color- and a lowlife is a lowlife- whatever THEIR color!
This broad- has them kooky eyes- usually behind them kooky eyes is a kooky brain!
