Donald Trump’s media summit was a ‘f—ing firing squad’

Works for me. Biased liars had it coming.

media's O amnesia

Via NY Post: Donald Trump scolded media big shots during an off-the-record Trump Tower sitdown on Monday, sources told The Post. “It was like a f–ing firing squad,” one source said of the encounter.

“Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ ” the source said.

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added. A second source confirmed the fireworks.

“The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks,” the other source said. “Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,” the source said.

“Trump didn’t say [NBC reporter] Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate – which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.”

The stunned reporters tried to get a word in edgewise to discuss access to a Trump Administration.

“[CBS Good Morning co-host Gayle] King did not stand up, but asked some question, ‘How do you propose we the media work with you?’

Chuck Todd asked some pretty pointed questions. David Muir asked ‘How are you going to cope living in DC while your family is in NYC? It was a horrible meeting.”

Trump spokeswoman Kellyanne Conway told reporters the gathering went well. “Excellent meetings with the top executives of the major networks,” she said during a gaggle in the lobby of Trump Tower. “Pretty unprecedented meeting we put together in two days.”

The meeting was off the record, meaning the participants agreed not to talk about the substance of the conversations.

The hour-long session included top execs from network and cable news channels. Among the attendees were NBC’s Deborah Turness, Lester Holt and Chuck Todd, ABC’s James Goldston, George Stephanopoulos, David Muir and Martha Raddatz. Also, CBS’ Norah O’Donnell, John Dickerson, Charlie Rose, Christopher Isham and King, Fox News’ Bill Shine, Jack Abernethy, Jay Wallace, Suzanne Scott, MSNBC’s Phil Griffin and CNN’s Jeff Zucker and Erin Burnett.

Arthur Sulzberger, publisher of The New York Times, plans to meet with Trump Tuesday. There was no immediate comment from the Trump Team.

  1. Gotta love it. It’s about time someone, especially President elect Trump gave them a taste of their own medicine. Too bad that dyke butch, Rachael Maddow wasn’t there, or her being mentioned by Trump. She’s a vile, representable thug.

    • Amen. bro!
That was what I said when I first saw this yesterday!
We’ll get another 3 months of, “He’s so-o-o Mean!”, but it will be worth it. Once he gets rolling and the LibTARD media viewers fall off and the advertisers abandon them, they will either go with the flow, or drown.
      “Mox nix* to me.
Cold War “GI German” = makes nothing – I don’t care.

  6. Reblogged this on necltr and commented:

We need one speaking for a president dedicated to service to our country rather than one who would earnestly try to Josh us into globalism. And, perhaps the President will directly speak for himself.

    • I’d support KellyAnn Conway for that. She’s shown herself to be a good public speaker, knows what’s going on,doesn’t get “flummoxed” by multiple or off subject questions and appears to be very hard to intimidate. Sounds perfect for this Administration.

  8. Someone needs to Post a new thread on Conway’ statement that President Elect Trump will not pursue prosecution of Hillary Clinton.
Let’s hope that is Tactical Disinformation for the Media & the Clintonistas to stop the riots and craziness.
President Elect Trump has no power pursue ….
When President Trump is inaugurated, the FBI and others should review the evidence they have and decide whether it deserves further investigation, make recommendations to the DoJ, and possibly meet with the Congressional investigators. They should decide whether a Special Prosecutor is necessary and how to further the investigation, and what charges to bring.
Not President Trump’s job. I hope he will encourage them to enforce the law as written, as the investigation develops.
Obama has unlawfully influenced investigations throughout his administration and it needs to STOP!

  10. Let’s face it . . . what good is the disinformation we get from the supposed “news agencies.” I’m glad he lit them up. Let them be trembling in their shoes for the next four to eight years.

    • I expect they’ll try,for awhile,to push Trump around, keep the “old ways” rolling. Once they realize that will gain them nothing but CONTEMPT from this Administration, they’ll try hard to change from Cheetahs to Zebras, and become BFF’s with their “new massiah”. I truly hope Trump sees through their “re-birth” and continues to consider them hostiles.

  11. Looks like Donald has TRUMPED them again! He accomplished what Nixon and Reagan were unable to do! I am sure that somewhere, they are smiling.
But a REALITY CHECK is in order: These people Trump reamed the other day are merely SOCK PUPPETS. Their PRODUCERS are the HANDS. The New World Order has made it known they’re not going away. They’re on the canvass, but the referee has not made it to “ten” yet. Donald Trump is going to have to keep up the assault. MAKE NO MISTAKE: We cannot rest on our laurels. These monsters are not going away. Godzilla ain’t dead yet!

  12. I’m trying not to enjoy this too much at once. Bad karma to enjoy somebody’s pain so much. However I will say I hope it continues as I can you regular doses of the LSM getting their hats handed to them.
I still try to read. look at & listen to both sides. If nothing else to see what the enemy is up to.
And I love how the LSM had a steady drumbeat of how bad Mr. Trump was but now that he’s the Drum Major everybody wants to be in the Band. As long as they’re playing sour notes, marching out of step and refusing.

  13. He gave them what they deserved, and they are bound to take it the wrong way. Go back to their little ivory towers, and take a mental nose dive to the street below, by trying to get even, Duh!

  14. Trump is far more kind and magnanimous than I would be; he is a better Christian than I am.

  15. The leftist Media is still pushing the “Hillary won the Popular Vote”, when the Hillary Campaign made No Effort except in the Big Electoral States she thought she needed.
Interesting numbers on the popular vote:
    Approx. 3 million Non-citizens voted:
Subtract them and Trump won the Popular vote by about 1.5 million. Doesn’t even take into consideration the 3 million dead peopled registered, or the people registered in more than one place, or the simply false registrations that are not verified in Dem controlled cities.
Trump won in 30.25 State (.25 is one electoral vote in Maine), Hillary won 19.75. Or 61% to 39% in States won.
Trump won 84% of the nation’s 3083 counties. Proving the Lib/Prog insanity is concentrated in the big cities.
How about that for “Popular Vote”?
