Scalia found dead with a pillow over his head

Yesterday, America suffered a grievous loss when Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia — 79, pro-life, Christian, Constitution originalist, conservative in every sense of the word, and a towering intellect — was found dead. (See “Rest in peace, Justice Antonin Scalia“)

Scalia was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch resort in West Texas, reportedly as part of a private group of about 40 people. He arrived at the resort on Friday. When he didn’t appear for breakfast Saturday, someone went to his room to check on him and found him dead.

We are told  Scalia had died in his sleep on the night of February 12 or in the early morning of February 13, 2016, of natural causes — a heart attack. (New York Post)

The “someone” who found him dead has been identified.

He is John Poindexter, 71, Houston businessman and the owner of the 30,000-acre Cibolo Creek Ranch. But get this: Poindexter said he found Scalia dead, on the bed, WITH A PILLOW OVER HIS HEAD.

Poindexter described Scalia as “animated and engaged” during dinner on Friday night: “He was seated near me and I had a chance to observe him. He was very entertaining. But about 9 p.m. he said, ‘it’s been a long day and a long week, I want to get some sleep’.” Everyone was in bed by 10 p.m.

Around 8:30 the next morning (Saturday), Poindexter went to Scalia’s room to wake him up. The room’s door was locked and Scalia did not answer. So Poindexter went for an outing with a friend of Scalia who had accompanied the Supreme Court justice from Washington.

Three hours later, Poindexter returned and, in his words, as quoted by mySA (My San Antonio) reporter John MacCormack, “We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. Everything was in perfect order. He was in his pajamas, peacefully, in bed. His bed clothes were unwrinkled. He was lying very restfully. It looked like he had not quite awakened from a nap.”

Hello? Who sleeps with a pillow over one’s head???

Scalia did not have a pulse and his body was already cold. After consulting with a doctor at a hospital in Alpine, Poindexter concluded resuscitation would have been futile, He then contacted federal authorities, at first encountering a series of answering services because he was calling on a weekend: “Ultimately they became available and handled it t superbly. They flew in by helicopter. They told me to secure the ranch, which I did until this morning.”

Scalia’s body was moved to the Sunset Funeral Home in El Paso, about 3 hours away, arriving at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Spokesman Chris Lujan said the funeral home was chosen by Scalia’s family and at the advice of a family friend. The El Paso County medical examiner’s office said they hadn’t received any information regarding the possibility of performing an autopsy.

Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara

Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara

It took hours for authorities in remote West Texas to find a justice of the peace — Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara, who “pronounced Scalia dead of natural causes without seeing the body — which is permissible under Texas law — and without ordering an autopsy.

Guevara said she had spoken to law enforcement officials at the scene, who assured her “there were no signs of foul play,” as well as Scalia’s physician in Washington, who said that Scalia had suffered from a host of chronic conditions. Guevara is awaiting a statement from Scalia’s doctor that will be added to his death certificate when it is issued later this week. Guevara also said reports that Scalia had died of a heart attack are not true, insisting that “He died of natural causes.”

A manager at the Sunset Funeral Home where Scalia’s body was taken said that his family made it clear they did not want an autopsy.

Scalia had been set to rule on a number of very controversial and divisive cases before the Supreme Court, now evenly split 4-4 between conservatives and liberals:

  1. Abortion: Next month, SCOTUS will hear the most significant abortion case since 1992, centering on Texas, on whether states can legally impose restrictions on abortion that do not put an “undue burden” on access to the procedure.
  2. Obamacare: SCOTUS is expected to rule on Zubik v. Burwell, on whether Obamacare’s requirement that employers must provide female employees with no-cost access to birth control, including abortifacients, violates religious nonprofits’ religious freedom. The plaintiffs include the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and the Little Sisters of the Poor.
  3. Unions: Scalia was the swing vote in Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association, a case challenging the legality of “fair share” fees that unions charge nonmembers to cover costs associated with collective bargaining.
  4. Affirmative Action: In Fisher v. University of Texas, on the use of affirmative action and race in college admissions, Scalia had argued that affirmative action shortchanges minorities by putting them into an environment where they cannot perform as well as other students.
  5. Separation of church and state: In Trinity Lutheran Church of Columbia v. Pauley, on whether religious schools can continue to be denied publicly-funded grants, Scalia had argued that, if a democratic majority wants to, banning state lawmakers from funding religious schools would impede the free exercise of religion.
  6. Climate change: One of Scalia’s last official acts as a justice was to deliver a large dent in Obama’s climate legacy, providing one of five votes to stay the Clean Power Plan, which regulates carbon emissions from power plants.
  7. Immigration: In April, SCOTUS will argue a challenge to Obama’s use of executive orders to allow up to 5 million more illegals to apply for quasi-legal status and work permits.
  8. Gun rights: The National Rifle Association maintains that Scalia’s death puts gun rights in jeopardy because, given the ages of SCOTUS judges, the next president will have a chance at choosing four judges. The NRA plans to spend over $20 million on the upcoming election to push gun rights. “In my view, all the chips are on the table in this election because the impact is who gets the Supreme Court,” said the NRA’s chief, Allan D. Cors in an interview with Secrets this month.

  5. Declaring someone dead without proper training or even being in the wrong can’t be proper protocol.
Sheets neat, no problem, have they never heard of a staged scene?
The timing and being so isolated leaves lot to suspect. Help is far away as well as he is away from his family.
We will never know the truth, just what they want us to know.
And to think the family does not want to know the whole truth is a little hard to absorb.
The agenda ahead is very curious also.

    • I might add, to be declared dead because of natural causes without being near the body has to be wrong somehow.
Plant based poisons can leave the body by five days. Will they stall?

  7. But, why would professionals leave a pillow on his face? Or, are they so brazen, they don’t care if it looks like possible murder? It’s interesting the FBI didn’t tell Poindexter not to talk about the pillow. I wonder what Scalia’s family really thinks happened and why they didn’t ask for an autopsy even though he did have health issues? How can Guevara state natural causes instead of a heart attack or any other cause, for that matter, without an autopsy? She’s not a doctor……. good grief. Questions, questions and will the truth ever be known?

The owner of the hunting lodge, John Poindexter, is pictured here to the far right with fellow knights of the Order of St. Hubertus, the highest honor for international hunting enthusiasts.

“The Southwest Priory, which includes Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico, is the largest member chapter according to its leader, Houstonian John Poindexter.”

  13. People, don’t jump the gun on this one. I like a good conspiracy as much as anyone (Kennedy Assassination, etc.) A 79 year old man probably died in his sleep, probably had some health problems ( he was almost 80 !). Most of us would be retired from our careers by then. As for the pillow, I have used a pillow to block the sunlight while trying to get a few more winks. And who wouldn’t lock the bedroom door while sleeping for the first time in a strange place, with 40 guests and who knows how many employees. An interesting fact is that this “only child” and his wife had nine children (his own Supreme Court) and many, many grandchildren. May his immortal soul rest in peace.

    • All good points Southside. It is not unusual for a 79yo to die suddenly of health related issues. The current life expectancy of a male in the USA is 76, so he already passed the average, and was on what I call… bonus time. However…

This was not some random male, or random male judge. He was a conservative US Supreme Court Judge. With numerous important cases on the coming docket. This gives Obama the opportunity to appoint 3 SCOTUS judges, all liberal of course.

He was not at home, but visiting power brokers in a private location. His described position, pillow or not, is of someone who was ‘laid to rest’ after they died. This description, whether it be true or not, is a signal to ‘those in the know’.

No one actually dies of ‘old age’, everyone dies of a specific cause. But since it not unusual or suspicious for a 79yo to die ‘in their sleep’, it makes it very easy to murder and cover up a senior citizen. It cuts both ways.

Let US all pray that the Senate WILL use it’s power of majority, or NO ONE will like what happens next! If Mitch Mc has a few brains left and has not been blackmailed, or bought off, then he will hold off till next January and let the next “honest” president name a successor! Times like this make you wonder if God is not trying to send US a “very clear message”!

  15. No one (to my knowledge) goes to sleep with a pillow over his head, but I know I move around quite a bit in my sleep, and I do, from time to time, wake up, in the middle of the night or after six to eight hours, with the pillow(s) over my head. It happens.
I would not put ANYTHING past either this Administration or the shadow government that pulls the strings and runs the black ops. But let us not get paranoid here. Let’s do a quick forensic analysis: Did the lock or the door show any signs of tampering? Did the window show any signs of tampering? Etc., etc.
We know that professional assassins are expert at covering their tracks. But if, for the sake of the argument, Justice Scalia was smothered or suffocated, wouldn’t that cast a pall over Mr. Poindexter? Who at this point is suspected of nothing?
Have there been any reports of any vehicles or persons observed on the ranch that should not have been there?
I raise this not to be a smart-aleck, but to admit that I knew a high school student who was “suicided.” I went to colleagues and to the police, and they thought I was nuts. So if what I knew could be lawfully denied because I had no corroboration or audio recording, then the innocent Mr. Poindexter should not be called into question for what he thought was the normal thing to do.
We all know by now that the murder of President Kennedy was a conspiracy, and we have the names of at least some of the principals and the hit-men involved. The shadow government did a “superb job” of carpe diem, seizing upon the reaction of the public to the event. And they had a ball doing it.
In the meantime, I want to know what happened to Andrew Breitbart and Tom Clancy. I want to know what happened aboard that Chinook helicopter that crashed in Afghanistan, killing 31 of our best men. I want to know what happened in the Bin Laden raid and subsequent naval ship that supposedly handled “his remains.” I want to know what happened in Benghazi and what Hillary Clinton did to facilitate it and cover it up. But we have a shadow government that will either do the work on the black ops end or on the media coverage end.
They say it’s better to “stick with the devil you know.” Obama is a known quantity by now. He might not have liked Scalia. He might not even like his own appointees to the Court. As much as I detest the man (and I believe he should hang for his crimes), let us, in the words of Cordelia, “love him according to [our] bond, no more, no less.” I don’t see Obama or the shadow government guilty, all other things being equal. This time.

    • I may toss and turn when I sleep, but NEVER ONCE in my entire life have I had a pillow over my head. Nor, from Poindexter’s description, did it appear Scalia had been tossing and turning. Instead, he was lying on the bed, peaceful, his pajamas unwrinkled — which is a remarkable feat.

I agree with you on all the questions that should be asked. But the county judge, Cinderela Guevara, had already declared Scalia to have died of “natural causes” (whatever that means), without her even having seen the body or the professional judgment of a medical examiner.

      • EXACTLY, Eo, on every point!

As an old Chicago boy, I agree with MeThePeople’s comment in your other posting, “Rest in peace, Justice Antonin Scalia” that the FBI needs to get ahold of His Himselfship Emmanuel, “Make Rom Emmanuel take a poly,” then start in on the Chicago mob connections.

I had very severe sleep apnea from childhood until age 69 in August 2013, NEVER slept more than 4.5 hours in 24, when Dr Tom OBrien got me on Laminine; I was cured in six weeks. Before then I’d crashed three cars and also had daytime apnea, falling asleep at stoplights. I now sleep 6.5 hrs a night, and never nap.

Scalia and I both appear to be ten years younger than our ages, even though we are overweight and may have other ailments typical of long lives. But dying in his sleep of ‘natural causes’?

Look, when I was tested at Royal Jubilee Hospital’s sleep lab ten years ago the attendant told me in the morning I was the worst case he’d ever seen, as I stopped breathing more than 200 times, and he was amazed I survived. Now if I didn’t die during that event or in the thousands of nights before then, why would Justice Scalia?

And yes, I slept w/several pillows, needed to get my head high enough to drain my sinuses, and Scalia may have also, BUT I never would sleep w/a pillow over me, as that would startle me awake [apnea sufferers tend to be light sleepers] immediately. Too many things here stink to the highest Heavens!

      • Good points one and all, Dr. Eowyn. After I posted my response, I saw an Infowars article on the “heart attack gun,” portrayed and described in the Senate-Church Hearings of 1975. I had forgotten about that. Still, Texas law, which permitted these discrepancies, seem to be the “culprit” here. Still, the conditions in which Justice Scalia were found are quite odd.

“Everything was in perfect order. He was in his pajamas, peacefully, in bed,” Poindexter said.

It distresses me that all these blogs are saying that the Washington Post said something that they didn’t. And that a false quote is attributed to Mr. Poindexter.

Justice Antonin Scalia’s family is the one that decided not to have an autopsy.

From the article’s description of Poindexter, who has a Ph.D. in economics and finance, and was captain & commander in the VN war, he certainly is an observant & punctilious man: “He cannot enter a room without straightening nearly every picture on the wall, nor walk by a table without smoothing the linen, nor pass a rug without tugging a corner to flatten a wrinkle. He’ll open glass cabinets displaying thousands of arrowheads to reposition three.”

So I totally believe Poindexter’s description of how he found Scalia.

News update, although a few days old : John Poindexter told the New York Daily News that Scalia’s pillow was above his head and resting against the headboard of the bed. The Wednesday, Feb. 17 article quotes him “There was a pillow over his head, not over his face. The face was entirely clear.” Quite the punctilious man.

        • If that’s what Poindexter really meant — that there was a pillow ABOVE Scalia’s head — why would Piondexter make a point of it? Sleeping with a pillow or pillows ABOVE one’s head is quite common. I sleep on a pillow, with a stack of 3 pillows behind and above my head.

          • As the article explains, “he wants to respond to those running wild with his comments earlier this week.” And “his prior account … stirred speculation.” “This sort of interplay is not common for me. I thought I made a pretty clear statement,” Poindexter told the News. “And some persons have chosen to take it and place it in a context not intended.” Poindexter told the News he hopes to put the questions to rest.

            • Your expanded comment does NOTHING to address my question: Having a pillow ABOVE one’s head is common, so why would Poindexter make a point of it.

That being said, whatever the position of Scalia’s pillow, the fact that he was a Supreme Court justice should warrant an autopsy and an investigation, especially in view of the many important pending cases before the court. The more his family protests loudly, smearing legitimate questions with the label of “conspiracy theory” which the media maliciously equate with lunacy, the more I wonder if Scalia had been found in an embarrassing position, a la Nelson Rockefeller.

  25. A county judge does not have the authority to pronounce a person dead, unless they are a coroner. Most of our 50 states requires a “medical doctor” to determine “death”. There are cases when a patient is in transit to the hospital without signs of “vitals” to be revived/resuscitated” by a team of medical professionals at the hospital. Paramedics, police, firefighters, can often decide if a person is beyond resuscitation, especially with signs of no vitals, dilated pupils and rigor mortis, thus making the determination to cease heroic/life saving measures. However, legally pronouncing a person dead, must be done by a medical doctor/coroner. In some situations, such as long term care facilities, (Hospice), nurses are allowed to make a determination of death. My sister was a nurse for many years, and cared for many residents/patients in a nursing home. She could determine if a person no longer had vital signs and was past resuscitation or heroic measures. Most of her residents, had signed DNR directives; (Do Not Resuscitate). Even with a DNR, a doctor still had to declare the patient “legally dead”.

  26. Cinderella Guevara, county judge, is a flaming democrat. She has been known to use racial slurs against White people calling them “Anglos”. Judge Scalia would have been totally against Obama’s ill-intended immigration plans. Cinderella Guevara is a kiss up to Obama. I wonder if she is related to the long line of Guevaras involved in Marxism and organized crime? A thorough investigation of the overstepping county judge should be conducted. The whole scenario surrounding Judge Scalia’s death is “suspect”. I pray that Judge Clarence Thomas will be very careful, because he is also a conservative.

Now that the Magic(bullet) Pillow theory is well established in the Scalia Assassination, based on one FACTUAL newspaper report that conflicts with other newspaper reports, I say many bloggers HAVE jumped the gun, using words such as “murdered”, “the killers”, “organized hit”, “plant based poisons”, “off a conservative judge”, and “this was no accident”. The best place to pull it off is in West Texas(many guns), on a luxury resort ranch(good security-more guns), during a weekend hunting trip(more guns again). I’ll bet that Nino had at least a pistol in the bedroom. Then sneak in, undetected(past all those guns), and suffocate the man. Then sneak out, again undetected. Let me play Devil’s Advocate with the pillow theory. With this insufficient evidence, I’ll “speculate and hypothesize” that a good man, while on a weekend trip enjoying his hobby, died peacefully in his sleep. ORA PRO EO.

Joan Rivers, who outs the president as a homosexual (no doubt about that one) and Moochelle as a Tranny (betcha on that one too) ends up dead. Although Joan Rivers was having a surgical procedure done, she was a very healthy 81 year old. Then, there’s Obo and Hillary’s Benghazi “stand down and get murdered” directive to 4 Americans, which was no doubt to keep from exposing a sizzling hot topic. Then a very decent, stellar SCOTUS judge, who could throw the clinks to Obo on the immigration issue, ends up dead with a pillow on his face, in unwrinkled jammies, who is pronounced “dead” by a county judge who had no authority to do so, quickly embalmed within 24 hours, speaks volumes about “an organized hit” on another great American. It doesn’t take a “super snoop” to add up all those dead bodies which have direct links to the Kenyan Manchurian Candidate. Leeann

He had uncovered some real dirt on Obama and had plan to release the vetted facts to the world. Sadly, Breitbart didn’t live very long after his dirt finding about the White House squatter. Not only was he dead, just hours before the preliminary autopsy report, the coroner was dead too. The cause of death for the coroner (Michael Cormier) was arsenic poisoning. We can add the dead coroner to the list of dead bodies that has a common thread named “Obama”. Leeann

  32. Dr. Eowyn: While I am loathe for most television viewing, I found out something interesting, involving a program, and maybe you already know about it, but here is the info. There is a nasty cartoonish type program called “Family Guy” which was very predictive of Judge Scalia’s death at a hunting club. The segment is from 2006 and can be accessed on YouTube. In the cartoon dialogue, Judge Scalia is supposed to be shot through the head by a bullet, by Dicky Cheney. Now, even though he wasn’t shot with a bullet; one person surmised perhaps it is a CIA bullet called a “heart attack gun” which is probably a strong current taser gun. There are people who die from being tased and in fact, an Ohio police officer volunteered to be tased when they became part of police defense. Sadly, he died the very next day from a heart attack. The NWO and the Illuminati use television as a mind control or mind numbing and many programs are very predictive of events that happen in future. In the 2006 Family Guy, it’s about meeting death (a grim reaper figure) and then the dialogue about Judge Scalia being killed at a hunting club. The Family Guy program predicted the Boston Bombings, 9-1-1, and other horrible events that were actualized. Just thought I would throw this out there, if anyone wants to view it via YouTube. Leeann

  34. Madmemere: You’re not a “conspiracy theory nut”. You are able to discern the evil which exists in our world. Some reject truth, rather than face the facts. I like to think of it as being “conspiracy factual”. : ) Leeann

  35. They mentioned this morning that he had just come back from Hong Kong- why didn’t they mention the possibility of “deep vein thrombosis?”

    • Well, we’ll never know because there was no autopsy, his body embalmed less than 24 hours after it was found.

      • exactly….a justice from the highest court in the land and those in power (apparently his family as well) care not to know exactly how he died….makes a lot of sense….NOT!
just like the gay “marriage” scotus case, this is a travesty of justice.

  36. In their never-ending quest for truth, MSNBC commissioned Dr. Nick Riviera of Springfield to conduct an unbiased investigation into the Scalia death. Dr. Nick’s analysis revealed that Justice Scalia farted upon entering the bedroom. The fart ricocheted off the door, knocked over a lamp, and finally slammed into and shattered the dresser mirror. Upon witnessing this extraordinary event, Scalia suffered a major heart attack and fell onto the bed, whereupon he subsequently farted again (the infamous “second fart theory”). This second fart was so powerful that it hit the foot board on the bed and pinballed at a 45 degree angle, hit the ceiling, and then continued on another 45 degree downward trajectory before banging the headboard – the resulting sudden jolt and vibration toppling a pillow onto the judge’s face.
