Pope Francis looks at his watch

During his speech before Congress on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, Pope Francis lectured to Americans to embrace Middle East and North African “migrants” seeking to come into America.

“Our world is facing a refugee crisis of a magnitude not seen since the second World War,” USA Today quotes Francis, including “thousands of persons (who) are led to travel north in search of a better life We must not be taken aback by their numbers, but rather view them as persons, seeing their faces and listening to their stories, trying to respond as best we can to their situation. To respond in a way which is always humane, just and fraternal. We need to avoid a common temptation nowadays: to discard whatever proves troublesome.”

Vatican City, officially the Vatican City State, is a walled enclave of approximately 110 acres and a population of 842 within the city of Rome. The smallest internationally recognized independent state in the world, it is an ecclesiastical or sacerdotal-monarchical state ruled by the Bishop of Rome – the Pope.

Being separated from the city, on the west bank of the Tiber river, the area was an outcrop of the city that was protected by being included within the walls of Leo IV (847–55), and later expanded by the current fortification walls, built under Paul III (1534–49), Pius IV (1559–65) and Urban VIII (1623–44). (Wikipedia)

Here’s a scale model of Vatican City which is in the Vatican Museum:

And here are some pics of Vatican City’s massive walls. From the looks of the walls, I estimate them to be 36 to 40 feet tall.

H/t The American Mirror

On Sept. 18, Vatican Radio said Vatican City’s Santa Anna parish community took in ONE Syrian refugee family, consisting of a father, mother and their two children — members of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church in Damascus, Syria, who had arrived in Italy on September 6, the very same day when Pope Francis urged Europeans to open their doors to refugees. The Syrian family is living in an apartment belonging to the Vatican in the vicinity of St Peter’s Basilica.

  1. I wonder why the walls are so high …….Is it to keep people in or keep people out ?

As far as their ” token ” family they took in . ( supposedly ) I wonder if they are being charged rent ? 110 acres and only 1 family . Hmmmmmm . Hope that doesn’t put a heavy burden on the Pontiff’s wallet

  2. It is clear by now that no matter how many headlines are written about Francis, they are always about his difference from, not the adherence to, Catholicism.
This is why Francis has lost the battle. He will always have the wrong crowd on his side, but he will never have the Catholics! They will be, they already are horrified from him! These Catholics may well be a minority, but they will always be those who get to define what Catholicism is even for all the others, exactly in the same way every outsider knows the orthodox Jew is the “real” Jew, and the “progressive” Jew is merely a secular chap using religion as a social tool.
Francis has lost the battle. He could not get Catholics on his side. He is now irredeemably branded – and rightly so – as a subversive and enemy of the Church. He may rape the Church, but he will never win her. He will always be remembered as the rapist, not the protector. He may carry with him the abortionists, the perverts, the nutcases of all sorts. But the battle for Catholic hearts and minds, that is lost forever.

    • What does he adhere to ? Socialist dogma and skeptical science ? How about re- distributionism ? Is that in the Bible ?

Charity to your fellow man comes from the heart , not some gov’t mandated program . That’s compulsory . Big difference !

How about his feelings for queers ?The Old Testament wasn’t ” p.c. ” when it came to that , was it ? …….

This so-called pope is a b.s. artist / false prophet

    • Roman Catholics had a very big presence in both the Sandy Hook and Boston Marathon psy-ops.

When Pope Francis refers to migrants “traveling NORTH” for a better life, he is not referring to Syrians moving westward to Europe, but immigrants to the U.S. from Latin America. We destroyed those countries’ economies with NAFTA, so their impoverished people have no choice but to migrate north. The effect has been to flood the U.S. with Catholics. Affirmative action policies have then been responsible for installing Hispanic Catholics in the judiciary in Colorado, where I am from, way out of proportion to their number, and probably elsewhere, as well. Catholics, including members of Opus Dei, predominate in law enforcement (e.g., Louis Freeh and Robert Hansson) as well as on the judiciary at the national level (e.g., six Roman Catholics on the U.S. Supreme Court, including two with Opus Dei links).

These individuals do not uphold the law, despite their oath to do so. They uphold the interests of the Vatican and (there is abundant evidence; e.g, Charles Keating) organized crime syndicates which funnel money back to the Vatican.

  5. Those are the kinds of walls we should have on our borders! We’ve paid for them over and over and it never happens.

  6. I agree with all comments so far. Yep, I love those walls. But then razor wire, electricity and land mines would do the same and be a tad cheaper. Or build a huge moat and put alligators and crocadilles in it.

  7. This pope is a Jesuit and they have the black pope who it’s said rules the world. I’ve said from the very beginning “He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” He’s a communist through and through and the Catholics who believe in him are making a major mistake in listening to him. He is not the top representative of God and should not be treated as such. I was raised a Catholic and thankfully never felt that way about the pope. I am a woman with my own spiritual intellect and discernment, and what I’m hearing from him is we should adopt the communist thinking and form of living. I don’t believe in communism and it’s been proven all around the world it does not work for the betterment of mankind. It’s a false utopia promised to people with little or no discernment and discrimination. It doesn’t deliver what it promises because it isn’t a part of God’s law. God’s cosmic law brings forth a society that gives opportunity, justice, liberty, freedom abundance and supply to our soul so we can balance our karma and raise our consciousness closer to God’s heart. The idea of making everyone equal in all ways is not in accordance with God due to our karma. People who give nothing of themselves are not entitled to reap benefits, especially take from others. The non-doers are users and abusers of people and the system. Karmically, they don’t deserve prosperity. “You get what you give” is truth” and some lifetime they’ll have to repay this selfishness. In fact, if they were born in low income it’s because they were of this consciousness in other lives. Life is meant to be opportunity to raise ourselves up out of current negative conditions and develop higher spiritual consciousness. Our government is destroying this opportunity. They are creating conditions to force us in relying on them as the source of our life (making themselves our God??) They aren’t our God or keepers – I don’t need them! In fact, I’m so done with them. They won’t ever destroy my high self-esteem and reality! I pray for those who can’t see truth to gain inner knowing and self-respect and break free of this evilness. God bless America and her true citizens.

  9. I just wonder, since the Pope took in a “Catholic” family–but he wants us and other nations to take all the “poor and weary” including Muslims who may well be jhadists at heart. Would it not have been a better example if he had taken a Muslim family to his bosom? Unfortunately, it would seem that he is a self serving individual who in no way represents God.

  10. I’m sorry, did I miss it where he cautions us to be careful of the very people he wants us to take in? You know, those that want us dead.
Look at Sweden, one out of four women have been raped, one beautiful blonde woman was also killed because she empathized with them.
Sorry, I am going with my gut feelings on this and not his asinine statements. Lead by example there big guy.

  11. Please, Please POPE….study the history of the SS St Louis…..the “migrant” Jewish ship who was turned away…from Cuba and from the USA…sent back to Europe, where upon it’s passengers were sent to concentration camps. For sure it might be a “lesson” for the USA….but , by GOD, it is also a lesson for the countries who are in CLOSER proximity—-NOT half way around the world……from the conflagration/upset/cause of mass migration. This WOULD include all of the Middle East, Europe, Asia Minor, and even RUSSIA…….why would you chastise a country on the OTHER side of the world from the unfolding events for “NOT taking in the refugees???” What’s all that “flack” in the Bible about being “my brother’s keeper?” Surely people of the same hemiphere MIGHT be considered “brothers’ before ranging over half the Earth to find another “brother?”

  13. Simple; the Vatican maintains 40’ tall Massive Walls that are Guarded by Swiss Guard that protects the Pope and other 870 plus residents from what ever bad things that might try to breach the walls of the 110 acre enclave known as the Vatican. Strong Boarders and Walls protect the residents… Why shouldn’t countries have the same right without comment when it comes to safe guarding boarders from non citizens…?

  14. Umm I know this is old but this wall was built in the 9th century to protect against the barbarians who were killing anything and everything I’m their paths, so are you saying that Mexicans are barbarian’s?? And after said wall is built, what about the barbarian’s that already live in America?? Oh and the Vatican wall only partially surrounds it,, I’ve been there, walk through some metal detector’s and your good to go, no bag check, unless the alarm goes off, no background check or special invitation or pass needed, all are welcome no matter race color or religious beliefs. Just saying…
