The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees citizenship to every child born in America. Section 1 of Amendment XIV says:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.

That law is being widely abused.

The above CBS news video says:

  • 300,000 babies born every year in the Untied [sic] States are born to mothers who are here illegally.
  • 40% of the babies in McAllen Texas Medical Center are born to illegals. The Center has delivered babies from women still wet from swimming across the Mexican-U.S. border. U.S. hospitals are mandated to treat all emergency room patients.
  • Fabiola, a Mexican woman illegally crossed the Mexican border into the U.S. when she was 6 months pregnant for the express purpose of giving birth here so that her child is a U.S. citizen by virtue of the 14th Amendment. Via her “anchor baby,” Fabiola no longer needs fear being deported. She will also become a U.S. citizen herself by having her anchor baby be her sponsor. To add insult upon injury, she gave birth to her anchor baby via a $47,000 C-section that was paid for by U.S. taxpayers.
  • Nor is Fabiola alone. She said on camera that many Mexican women do the same thing.
  • Each year, the government taxpayers spend $1.1 billion on the health care of illegals.

Donald Trump has published a position paper entitled “Immigration Reform That Will Make America Great Again.” It is available on the Trump campaign website, here.

In an article for American Thinker, Alan Wall summarizes the Trump plan:

  1. Triple the number of ICE  [Immigration and Customs  Enforcement] officers.
  2. Nationwide e-verify.
  3. Mandatory return of criminal aliens.
  4. Detention, not catch-and-release.
  5. Defund sanctuary cities.
  6. Enhanced penalties for overstaying a visa.
  7. Cooperate with local gang task forces.
  8. End birthright citizenship.

Wall left out a #9 to Trump’s immigration reform plan:

9. Build a wall — a massive, impenetrable wall along the U.S.-Mexico border to keep out illegals “immigrants”. Trump says seismic and other equipment could detect and stop any underground tunnels to circumvent the wall. (Washington Post)

Orly Taitz, Esq., maintains that cancelling U.S. financial aid to Mexico for just one year would pay for the wall.

Mexico is one of the top 10 recipients of U.S. foreign aid — $757.7 million in fiscal year 2010. That figure does not include the $millions more that the U.S. is helping Mexico save by taking any and all Mexicans who illegally crosses the border.

  2. I just read that Birthright Citizenship can easily be revoked via a law being passed by Congress. It is NOT a Constitutional RIGHT.

No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.



  3. best way to get illegals out of US….end all benefits, strong border enforcement, and make it required that anyone born in the US must have at least one parent who is a citizen in order to be a US citizen (not the other way around)…period.

    The “anchor baby” “birth right” citizenship nonsense is fallacy based on intentional misrepresentation of the 14th amendment. The 14th amendment states two separate requirements for citizenship other than naturalization. First is of course being born in the U.S.. The second requirement is that one must be under the jurisdiction of the United States. Obviously birth on U.S. Soil alone does not satisfy that requirement or it would need no mention. This intentional misinterpretation of the phrase “and under the jurisdiction thereof” easily fools the thoughtless, and uncomprehending, who readily accept it as a simple iteration of being subject to the law of the U.S., which we all are without saying.

    The subject of the introductory phrase being that of “citizenship”, it should be a matter of simple extrapolation, or need I say just common sense, that the requirement of “under the jurisdiction thereof” is a direct reference to the country possessing jurisdiction of the citizenship of the child which can only be the same as that of the parents.

    God forbid that the United states would presume to declare ownership of the children of foreign citizens just because of their misfortune of being born on our soil, or that they would grant citizenship to any one born on U.S. soil, not having any way whatsoever of assuring allegiance or loyalties.

    Before any one considers this is all from my own misconceptions, know that my interpretation of the introductory phrase to the 14 amendment does come directly from the two senators responsible for its composition, which can be found in the actual congressional debates of the ratification of the 14 amendment. It changed nothing that was not already understood as the rules of citizenship except for the acknowledgement of citizenship for the newly freed slaves.

  5. Deport all illegals after they have been forced to build the wall with their labor. It is a tough pill and perhaps un Christian but America’s generosity
    should be employed to help Christians being persecuted by Muslims.
    It is time that our Christian Nation stand up for Christians. Barry Soetoro is not a Christian is probably a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

  6. I have written about this before. While living in San Diego,I worked with several Hispanics. I noticed they were dressed very nice and wearing expensive shoes, etc. We were talking one night and I found out, they were married, and each had three children all born in a good SD hospital, at our expense. They had rent subsidy, and lived in nice apts. they went to night school, free of course, to learn better English. They told me, they come here and apply for social services under their father’s name, then turn around and file again under their mother’s name. This while they were working a job several dollars above minimum wage. I stood there stunned and asked them “why do you do that?” And I was told….”because we can.”
    They showed me their checks, all around one thousand dollars. On top of their salaries.
    One told me he owned a home in Acapaulco and he planned on working here 5-10 years, then go home and live like a king.
    To get to my point, we need to enforce every point that Trump is making.
    I think stopping all social services will take care of the rest.
    Not only are they coming here and living off us, taking jobs, not all jobs are mimnimum wage, and their crime.
    I like the fact you are keeping this front and center. Many do not know all the facts and what it truly cost us. That the secure future of our children is in jeopardy.

    • Glenn, I live just North of you and one day at my school overheard an hispanic “aide” using the SCHOOL phone to converse with someone in Spanish (HEY—the State of CA MADE me go back to school and become “CLAD” in order to keep my job….so I UNDERSTOOD what she was talking about…even tho’ she might have thought she was talking in a “secret code” just by using Spanish). She was helping them coordinate the arrival/transport of a pregnant woman (relative/aquaintance?) illegallly over the border in order to give birth to a US citizen, remain here indefinately, and receive myriad social services for both herself and her “US CITIZEN child.” Just thought you all would like to know how your tax dollars were used at my school that day in hourly pay of an aide and in long-distance phone fees from school… and for the many ensuing years just on this ONE case.

  7. I never could understand how millions and millions could be given to other countries in ‘aid’, when the U.S. doesn’t have any money to give (being so much in debt.)
    What a mess! Is it even worth trying to figure out??


    • It is perplexing. Isn’t it? We are constantly told no money for VA, but have untold amounts for social services, especially those illegal.
      We are constantly being threatened that social security will run out, but that money was put in there by the people and their employees. But plenty of money for social services. If they would leave social security alone and put back what was taken out illegally and stop pulling people from unemployment and out into SSDI Everything would work out.
      We have plenty of money to give to countries that hate us and want us dead, but little for our people whose tax money made it possible.
      It is indeed a mess.
      Can you imagine how fiscally stable we would be, if we hadn’t support so many people not citizens over the decades?

  8. Yes indeed. My son had a friend in his Christian school who was there only about 4 months. After Christmas break, his friend was gone, back to Africa. The boy’s mother had been pregnant, and was here for the sole purpose of dropping a baby in America. The moment this was accomplished, she and her kids were gone. These rascals are fully aware of the freebees. And they coach each other on how to scam the idiots running America.
