Simple Answer to the question of who is Freddie Gray:

I don’t know. I know who Al Sharpton is. I know who the mayor of Baltimore is. I know who Geraldo Rivera is. I know who all the people are who are seeking to advance their own interests through Freddie’s death and the resulting riots. But I don’t know much about Freddie. So I conclude it is not really about Freddie. All the profiteers have already thrown him under the bus.

More Personal thoughts:

  1. We don’t have complete information.
  2. Freddie Gray’s arrest record was mostly for drug violations, with very little indication of violence.
  3. Police silence on the circumstances of Freddie Gray’s death is deafening.
  4. Main Stream Media is treating him as a victim.
  5. We must see the riots as opportunistic thug behavior.
  6. We also must understand why Freddie Gray’s death is so troubling for black people.

We will likely know much more in the coming weeks. But the special interests who are trying to benefit from his death are clouding the discussion.

Freddie’s death is tragic. I’m not saying he was a good guy or a bad guy. Due to all the blurring of information about him, we can’t find out. I don’t like anyone who sells drugs, but I also don’t like any cop who abuses his/her power.

Freddie is not the only victim. American civility is also a victim.

Americans, “send not to know for whom the bell tolls,
it tolls for thee.” *

* “No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend’s were.
Each man’s death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.”

    • From what I understand his last arrest was due to him being in possession of a common pocketknife which the police lied about by calling it a “switchblade knife.” They based his arrest upon misnaming a common pocketknife by calling it a switchblade. I wonder who taught them that tactic?

      • Don’t know who taught the police that. Do you have a copy of the final investigative report? Do you know if this municipality has a limit on blade length?
So many questions, so little answers at this time.

      • Freddie was a well known drug dealer who due to the fact that he was on probation/parole, no longer had any 4th amendment rights. When on probation/parole, you can be stopped and searched for any reason whatsoever. Here in California, if you have a clean record and unknowingly are driving with someone on probation/parole, the police can search your car without consent. I know this from experience, and the a-hole cops messed up the interior in my 2 month old Audi at the time. Stupid K9 scratched the leather all up.

As for the knife, any folding knife that is not “biased-to-closing” is illegal to carry consealed and in many states is considered a switch-blade even though it lacks spring-opening.

  1. From what I have heard on FOX News last night, Freddie Gray beat himself all the way to the jail in the police van. Another arrestee said that Gray was banging himself all over in the van. The police stopped multiple times to restrain Gray. There’s plenty of proof of Gray being in the possession of drugs so could he have been high as a kite while in the van and self mutilating?

    • I heard the same thing on the alternative news. The commentator also mentioned that the looter/rioters/riffraff did not give a damn about Freddy Gray or his plight, they look for any excuse to loot rob, rape, pillage, burn and destroy.

I’m sure Freddy Gray’s rap sheet as well as all the other black yoofs who were killed by white cope will never see then light of day in the MSM. To tell the truth is against the end game goal that the black radicals in power in Obama’s kingdom, soros, Kissinger etc have

  2. He has at least 3 ” intent to distributes ” on his record . I’m guessing those were felonies , I might be wrong ….If they were felonies , why wasn’t he provided ” 3 hots and a cot ” permanently ? If so , the State of Maryland is culpable and Freddie would not be taking the ” eternal celestial dirt nap ” at this moment .

#1 , T.D. , we will never get the whole truth , the police are in c.y.a.mode . And if their investigation finds ” issues ” as to what happened , it will be deep-sixed . In order to cause more foment .

    • Call #6 an example of my soft (and stupid) side.

When I was 19 years old I did some really stupid things with “controlled substances.” I still remember how easy it was to go from a clean cut Catholic kid to a crazy hippie, and not even realize how far I had drifted to the wrong side. Within another year, the Lord Jesus Christ ran me to ground, I repented, and things changed.

Years later I was introduced to somebody from my town. He shocked me by calling me an “old reprobate.” Then I found out the only time he had ever seen me was when I was loitering with my fellow freaks on Main Street, sitting by my motorcycle and watching the cars and people go by. This time period of my life was only 2 or 3 years, but it was definitely on the wrong side. Since 1972 I have lived a Christian life. So it was a shock to be called a reprobate 18 years after I left the long hair behind.

PS: He was wrong. Even at my wildest I was never reprobate, which means beyond reach.

PPS: I later remembered who he was. He was a kid just out of high school who wanted so badly to be a cop, that he drove around with a radio in his car to help the police keep tabs on the long haired guys down town. (imagine Barney Fife)

  4. TD . . . this truly is an excellent post! The most wonderful thing about your response to others comments is when you say you “repented” of your misdeeds. Many young people do idiotic things — thank goodness, the Lord has provided the principle of “Repentance,” and along with that the blessing of “Forgiveness.” If we did not have these opportunities, all would be lost!

I think we are about to see Hands Up, Don’t Shoot the sequel, if the stories I have been reading are correct.

  7. These riots were engineered, in part, by Malik Shabazz and underwritten by George Soros, among others. Suffice it to say, they were encouraged, in one way or another, by the Obama Administration: Obama is the glove; Valerie Jarrett is the hand. Stephanie Rawlings-Brooke is in on the Obama agenda to federalize the police. Qui Bono? The Federal Government, which is always positioning itself to expand its base. A perverse Manifest Destiny, as it were.
Freddie Gray is yet another check mark on a miles-long roster of the victims of the War on Drugs. This is what the Government wants. Divide and conquer is their strategy—Hell, it’s the only thing they know what to do. And they rely on moral cretins and imbeciles to man their productions. And they make sure the police are dumbing down, too.
