God Bless America

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free.
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:

God bless America, land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home sweet home.

  1. I never understood Irving Berlin’s song until it finally dawned on me:
It is a humble prayer for God to bless America. I had always thought it was a praise to our sometimes good, sometimes not so good nation. Instead, it’s a request for divine mercy on us. GOD BLESS AMERICA

  2. I voted ! Pretty busy at the polls considering the hour.

  3. I just got back from voting here in my East Cobb County precinct.

I was disappointed to see there was practically no line.

I realize it is cold, raining and yucky here today, but I would have liked to have seen more people there given that this is one of the most conservative areas of the country.

  4. Our polling place was mobbed today at 7:00 AM. We are in a Massachusetts town that votes contrary to the state’s leftist majority. It would not surprise me if most of the other voters were voting for Romney.

  5. May we see a true victory today through Gods work!

  6. Also people wearing Obama caps, voting machines flipping votes. Will we get a fair election?

  7. I just voted! I am frightened but praying. God’ s will be done.

My husband and I went mid afternoon and it was busy but there was just a short line.

    Pray! (:

  8. We early voted. I think a lot of people did this year. But I am angry that a lot of military are being left out and forgotten, or deliberately ignored.

  9. Good grief, what is wrong with people?

  10. My stomach is so tied up in knots, I can’t even eat dinner. 🙁

  11. 7:30 pm East coast time:
    Romney wins Kentucky & Indiana…
POS wins the People’s Republic of Vermont

  12. I ‘m with you, Dave. I am a nervous wreck. I am watching the vote tallies on a fox webpage. I was hoping Romney would be way ahead and it is way too close in Florida and Virginia. I KNOW it is only 1% of the vote but I want Romney to win so badly. I’m trying to pray whenever I have these mental anxiety attacks but I think it will be a long night.
Oh my dear Lord, please help your humble servants. Hear our cry.

  13. That POS Bill Nelson is winning in Florida.

  14. PRAYING!!

  15. FoxNews now has Electoral College votes exactly split: 153 vs. 153

Also, CBS says that Fauxcahontas Elizabeth Warren won. Unbelievable! 🙁

  16. Fox showing EV still tied at 153…

  17. Virginia Van Wert

Romney and Ryan take Utah my home town! No surprise since Utah is Mormon country!

  18. Illegal voting here in Ohio is holding things up – I believe Hamilton county is involved which is usually Republic.

  19. What’s up w/Fox then? They still show it tied…

    • I don’t get it either! The numbers haven’t changed for a while!! Republicans have the house at least – whatever that means nowadays.

  20. I’m disgusted that the race is this close!!!

  21. Homeschool Mama

By our calculations, if O takes Florida it’s all over :o(

  22. Romney must win Florida and Wisconsin.

  23. Ohio is being called for POS!

  24. Fox called Ohio…Obama wins it.

  25. Fox declares the presidency to soetero. Did they count the military votes that weren’t sent? Did they subtract the software errors? Did they subtract the votes of the Somalians? It doesn’t make sense when you compare the rally participation. I want to cry.
