BLM vs. Bundy: Bundy spews racism while Reid calls militia “domestic terrorists”

Bundy militia vs BLMNearly two weeks after a tense standoff between armed BLM agents and a 1,000-strong coalition (of armed militia-men, cowboys on horseback, states’ rights advocates and gun rights activists) over the BLM’s roundup of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle from federal rangeland, armed militia campers are still guarding Bundy’s ranch near the town of Bunkerville, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

67-year-old Bundy says he doesn’t recognize federal authority on the land his family settled and has used since the late 1870s, when Bunkerville was founded. His dispute with the BLM dates to 1993, when the government designated the  Gold Butte area as protected habitat for the endangered desert tortoise and cut Bundy’s allotment of cows. Bundy quit paying grazing fees (the current fee is $1.35 per cow per month). The BLM canceled his grazing permit and ordered him to remove his cattle. Federal judges upheld the agency action.

(See “Bundy’s beef with BLM is about Federal vs. State ownership of land in Nevada” and “Leaders of 9 western states meet to take land back from federal govt”.)

In what Bundy advocates call the Battle of Bunkerville on April 12, 2014, the federal government eventually backed off, citing safety concerns. BLM agents were faced with military-style AR-15 and AK-47 weapons trained on them from a picket line of citizen soldiers on an Interstate 15 overpass, with dozens of women and children in the possible crossfire. BLM police released the confiscated 380 cattle, gave up the weeklong roundup, and lifted the closure of Bundy’s vast range half the size of the state of Delaware. The agency said it would resolve the matter “administratively and judicially.”

An armed man stands watch as protesters gather by the Bureau of Land Management's base camp near Bunkerville, NevadaOn April 12, 2014, Eric Parker from central Idaho stood watch on a bridge with his weapon as protesters gather by the BLM’s base camp, where cattle seized from rancher Cliven Bundy were being held, near Bunkerville.

Left unresolved is the federal government’s claim that Bundy owes more than $1.1 million in fees and penalties for letting some 900 cows “trespass” for 20 years on federal rangeland.

According to his son Ammon, Cliven Bundy has since received several certified letters from the BLM, but hasn’t opened them. BLM spokesman Mitch Snow said the letters offer Bundy a chance to keep his cattle if he pays the $1.1 million in trespass fees, plus “reasonable expenses of the impoundment.” Agency officials have said the contract for the roundup was $900,000.

Jonathan Allen writes for Reuters, April 17, 2014, that the federal government’s decision to withdraw in the face of armed resistance has alarmed some who worry that it has set a dangerous precedent and emboldened militia groups.

Ryan Lenz, a writer for the Southern Poverty Law Center that is concerned only with “right wing” terrorism and racism but not the terrorism/racism of the left or of Muslims, fumes, “Do laws no longer apply when the radical right no longer agrees?”

Militia experts say that armed Americans using the threat of a gunfight to force federal officers to back down is virtually unparalleled in the modern era.

Alex Jones, whose Infowars website had helped popularize Bundy’s dispute, called it a watershed moment: “Americans showed up with guns and said, ‘No, you’re not,’ before confronting the armed BLM agents. And they said, ‘Shoot us.’ And they did not. That’s epic. And it’s going to happen more.”

The 5,000-strong Oklahoma Milita has pledged their support to Bundy and vows to take up arms against the BLM if needed.

Energized by their success, Bundy’s supporters are already talking about where else they can exercise armed defiance. They are searching for other Bundys, such as Tommy Henderson, a rancher on the Texas-Oklahoma border who is fighting BLM attempts to seize some of his land.

Cliven BundyCliven Bundy

As for Bundya Mormon, father of 14, and a registered Republican — he’s not just energized but displays every sign of hubris.

He’d taken to the stage fashioned from a flatbed trailer to tell reporters he wants sheriffs around the country to seize weapons from federal bureaucrats. Bundy’s given interviews and daily press conferences on matters ranging far from his dispute with the BLM, including one on April 19 in which he called black Americans “negroes” and wondered aloud whether blacks on welfare would be “better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”

Bundy’s rants already have alienated whatever supporters he had in Congress:

  • Nevada’s Republican senator Dean Heller had spoken out in defense of Bundy and called for a Congressional hearing on the BLM’s roundup. But now, his spokesman Chandler Smith said that the senator “completely disagrees with Mr. Bundy’s appalling and racist statements, and condemns them in the most strenuous way.”
  • Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul released a statement today, saying Bundy’s “remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him.”
  • Nevada state Assemblywoman Michele Fiore said, “I strongly disagree with Cliven Bundy’s comments about slavery.”

The BLM’s backing down is only a temporary tactical maneuver. As Martin Armstrong of Armstrong Economics puts it, “The likelihood of the Feds ever backing down is highly unlikely, The Federal Government is severely disconnected from the people and views anyone who stands up to them as a criminal and domestic terrorist.”

harry-reidIndeed, two days ago on April 22 on KSNV-TV, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) already called the militiamen who have converged in Bunkerville “domestic violent terrorist-wannabes.”

Reid then ominously predicted that “something is going to happen” that will stop Bundy from grazing his cattle on allegedly federal land:

“It’s obvious that you can’t just walk away from this. And we can speculate all we want to speculate to what’s going to happen next. But I don’t think it’s going to be tomorrow that something is going to happen, but something will happen.”

Armstrong reminds us that “Obama’s head of the Justice Department, Eric Holder now Attorney General, called the shots on WACO back then. He got away with it before – why not again?”

The Battle of Bunkerville may merely be a dress rehearsal for what lies ahead – a rising confrontation between the government and the American people.

It isn’t over: BLM says it made no deal with Bundy

Neil Kornze

BLM Director Neil Kornze

The Obama-BLM war against Nevadan rancher Cliven Bundy isn’t over.

Last Saturday, April 12, 2014, citing “safety concerns,” the BLM announced a premature halt to confiscating Bundy’s cattle and released about 400 head of cattle it had seized. BLM’s “operation” war, originally expected to take up to a month, ended after only a week.

Martin Griffith reports for The Associated Press that Bundy’s cattle were freed after hundreds of states’ rights protesters, some of them armed militia members, showed up at corrals outside Mesquite to demand the animals’ release. (An eyewitness says it was not hundreds, but THOUSANDS of protesters.)

Doug GillespieLas Vegas Police Lt. Dan Zehnder told the AP that Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie was able to negotiate a resolution after talking with Bundy.

But Bureau of Land Management spokesman Craig Leff denies there was a deal. He said, “The BLM and National Park Service did not cut any deal and negotiate anything. There was no deal we made. The door isn’t closed. We’ll figure out how to move forward with this.” Leff said the BLM will continue to try to resolve the matter with Bundy “administratively and judicially,” but declined to comment on BLM’s possible options.

The several hundred cows gathered during the roundup were short of the BLM’s goal of 900 cows that it says have been trespassing on U.S. land without required grazing permits for over 20 years. The BLM insists Bundy owes more than $1 million in grazing fees. But Bundy, the last rancher in Nevadas Clark County, has been fighting a “one-man range war” since 1993, when he decided to take a stand against the BLM by refusing to pay fees for the right to graze on a ranch run by his family for centuries.

The fight between Bundy and the BLM widened into a debate about states’ rights and federal land-use policy. Bundy does not recognize federal authority on land he says belongs to Nevada.

After years of court battles, in the name of protecting endangered desert tortoise in the region, the BLM secured a federal court order to have Bundy’s “trespass cattle” forcibly removed and, last week, dispatched some 200 agents armed with automatic weapons and sniper rifles to Bundy’s ranch about 75 miles outside of Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, environmental nazis are now irked with the BLM, accusing the bureau of capitulating to threats of violence from the “armed militia thugs” who have converged to support Bundy.

rob-mrowka1Rob Mrowka, senior scientist with the Center for Biological Diversity, wants the federal government to pursue legal action against Bundy. Back in April 2012, the Center had filed a notice of intent to sue the BLM for canceling a planned roundup of Bundy’s cattle at the last minute.

Mrowka fumed, “The BLM has a sacred duty to manage our public lands in the public interest, to treat all users equally and fairly. Instead it is allowing a freeloading rancher and armed thugs to seize hundreds of thousands of acres of the people’s land as their own fiefdom. The BLM is setting a dangerous precedent in announcing that it will pick and choose who has to follow federal laws and who it will reward for violating them.”

The Green Nazis should know that the BLM’s war on Bundy has precious little to do with desert tortoise.

It’s all about democrat Nevada senator Harry Reid and his deal with the Chinese to build massive solar facilities on Bundy’s land. See “Dirty Harry Reid Has His Hands All Over Bundy/BLM Dispute.

HARRY REID’S LAST ROUNDUP

Exclusive: Joseph Farah exposes China deal possibly driving fed action against rancher

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy performed a remarkable public service for America over the last couple weeks.

He exposed the utter ruthlessness, brutishness and Gestapo tactics of the federal government in dealing with honest, hard-working Americans who live off the land – our land.

Claiming Bundy’s cattle ranching operation was endangering desert tortoises, the Bureau of Land Management treated him like he was Ted Bundy. I take that back. The serial rapist, mass murderer and necrophile got due process.

When Cliven Bundy’s neighbors turned out to support him, as good American neighbors should, the BLM sent in helicopters, four-wheel-drive vehicles and an estimated 200 armed officers to deal with the cowboy and his family, threatening another Ruby Ridge or Waco-style slaughter.

But I don’t think it was about tortoises. No, sir. In fact, with all the gear and manpower the BLM brought to Clark County to round up the cowboy and his cattle, they did more environmental damage to the area than Cliven Bundy ever could have dreamed of doing.

This was about something else.

It’s always about something else.

Maybe – just maybe – it had to do with another Nevadan by the name of Harry Reid.

It seems the Senate majority leader has been doing favors for a Chinese energy giant ENN, which has plans to build massive solar facilities in that area – tortoises or no tortoises.

It seems the director of BLM is Reid’s former senior adviser, Neil Kornze. BLM had posted on its website documents stating the agency wanted Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations. The agency removed it when the standoff became national news.

“Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle,” the document states.

That would be the Chinese solar plant – the Management, or BLM.

They were getting a mega-deal. On April 3, 3012, Bloomberg reported Chinese billionaire Wang Yusuo, one of China’s richest citizens and the founder of ENN, had teamed up with Harry Reid to win incentives including land 113 miles southeast of Las Vegas that ENN sought to buy for $4.5 million, less than one-eighth of the land’s $38.6 million assessed value.

But the story gets better. Harry Reid’s son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nev.

A Reuters report stated: “[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert. Reid has been one of the project’s most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada. His son, a lawyer with a prominent Las Vegas firm that is representing ENN, helped it locate a 9,000-acre (3,600-hectare) desert site that it is buying well below appraised value from Clark County, where Rory Reid formerly chaired the county commission.”

And there’s an even bigger story of scandal and corruption still beneath this show of force by the BLM, orchestrated by Harry Reid.

On Jan. 20, 2013, WND warned Chinese government-backed economists were proposing a plan to allow Chinese corporations to set up “development zones” in the United States as part of a plan proposed by the Chinese government to convert into equity the more than $1 trillion in U.S. Treasury debt owned by the Chinese government.

The next day, Jan. 21, 2013, WND documented the Obama administration had begun to allow China to acquire major ownership interests in oil and natural gas resources across the USA.

( Did You read that? Skippy opened door for Chicoms!!!!!!!!)

The first major intrusion of China in the U.S. oil and natural gas market can be traced to the Obama administration decision in October 2009 to allow state-owned Chinese energy giant China Offshore Oil Corporation, or CNOOC, to purchase a multi-million-dollar stake in 600,000 acres of South Texas oil and gas fields.

( Did you know this?  I did not, and now I’m Hot!!!!)

                                                                        Outraged

By allowing China to have equity interests in U.S. oil and natural gas production, the Obama administration reversed a policy of the Bush administration that in 2005 blocked China on grounds of national security concerns from an $18.4-billion deal in which China planned to purchase California-based Unocal Corp.

China’s two, giant, state-owned oil companies acquiring oil and natural gas interests in the USA are CNOOC, 100 percent owned by the government of the People’s Republic of China, and Sinopec Group, the largest shareholder of Sinopac Corporation, an investment company owned by the government of the People’s Republic of China, incorporated in China in 1998, largely to acquire and operate oil and natural gas interests worldwide.

On March 6, 2012, the Wall Street Journal compiled a state-by-state list of the $17 billion in oil and natural gas equity interests CNOOC and Sinopec have acquired in the United States since 2010.

  • Colorado: CNOOC gained a one-third stake in 800,000 acres in northeast Colorado and southwest Wyoming in a $1.27-billion pact with Chesapeake Energy Corporation.
  • Louisiana: Sinopec has a one-third interest in 265,000 acres in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale after a broader $2.5-billion deal with Devon Energy.
  • Michigan: Sinopec gained a one-third interest in 350,000 acres in a larger $2.5-billion deal with Devon Energy.
  • Ohio: Sinopec acquired a one-third interest in Devon Energy’s 235,000 Utica Shale acres in a larger $2.5-billion deal.
  • Oklahoma: Sinopec has a one-third interest in 215,000 acres in a broader $2.5-billion deal with Devon Energy.
  • Texas: CNOOC acquired a one-third interest in Chesapeake Energy’s 600,000 acres in the Eagle Ford Shale in a $2.16-billion deal.
  • Wyoming: CNOOC has a one-third stake in northeast Colorado and southeast Wyoming after a $1.27-billion pact with Chesapeake Energy. Sinopec gained a one-third interest in Devon Energy’s 320,000 acres as part of a larger $2.5-billion deal.

On March 6, 2012, in a separate story, the Wall Street Journal described that China’s strategy implemented since 2010 by Fu Chengyu, who has served as chairman of both CNOOC and Sinopec, involved the following components: “Seek minority states, play a passive role, and, in a nod to U.S. regulators, keep Chinese personnel at arm’s length from advanced U.S. technology.”

But back to Cliven Bundy and Harry Reid.

Remember Solyndra?

ENN intended to create solar energy farms on the Nevada land, despite the nearly 50 percent plunge in solar panel prices globally in the previous 15 months that led to the bankruptcy of solar equipment maker Solyndra LLC, which had received approximately $535 million in U.S. government loan guarantees.

And, yes, money exchanged hands between ENN and Reid. The Chinese energy company contributed $40,650 individually and through its political action committee to Sen. Reid over the previous three election cycles.

Reid was recruited by ENN during a 2011 trip he took to China with nine other U.S. senators, supposedly to invite Chinese investment in the United States. The Senate group accompanying Reid on his 2011 trip to China included six other Democrats and three Republicans: Richard Shelby, R-Ala.; Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Dick Durbin, D-Ill.; Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.; Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J.; Johnny Isakson, R-Ga.; Jeff Merkley, D-Ore.; and Michael Bennet, D-Colo.

Thank you, Cliven Bundy for bringing all of this to the public’s attention.

America is with you.

I am with you.

Enough is enough.

Thank you for exposing how crony capitalism works hand in hand with phony environmentalism.

Indeed, as Kris Kristofferson once wrote, “Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.”

Harry may I say to you,     sangry_sign_100-104    and in closing,

~Steve~

Wayne Allyn Root on the Nevada Standoff

Wayne Allyn Root

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, MAY SPARK AN AMERICAN REVOLUTION

Posted by Wayne Root on April 12, 2014

By Wayne Allyn Root

Forget the Ukraine. The real revolution is happening right now north of Las Vegas where a rancher is under assault by the U.S. government.

Remember that famous Las Vegas advertising slogan, “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas.” Well when it comes to big government stealing our property and violating our rights, it’s just not true. What’s happening in Vegas is symbolic of what’s happening across this once great country.

This federal government assault on a Nevada ranching family looks a lot like the Gestapo, the Stasi, or any other authoritarian Big Brother force that persecutes, intimidates and controls the people with an iron boot. Think I’m exaggerating? How about a Las Vegas elected official (County Commissioner Tom Collins) warning out of state protestors “to make funeral plans.” This isn’t Ukraine, or Moscow. That was a Las Vegas politician threatening to have government agents murder law-abiding protesters. https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/water-environment/collins-manages-insult-utahns-comments-bundy-roundup

My Jewish grandparents told me “Never forget.” What they meant was, “We must never forget the Holocaust and what happened to our people.” Well it’s time to remember, before America is no longer the land of the free! Before your free speech is corralled into a “First Amendment Area.” Before government can steal your land and take away your rights based on trumped up charges. Before government can use force to taser legal non-violent protesters. Before someone is killed by masked government snipers with AK47’s trained on American citizens.

Don’t look now. It’s happening. This is an offshoot of Obama’s plan for America- an open distaste and disgust for ranchers, farmers, hunters, capitalist owners of land. Obama hates independence. Under this administration we have record numbers of welfare, food stamp, disability and unemployment insurance. We have a government spending record money advertising to entice more Americans – even illegal immigrants- to accept food stamps and entitlement checks. We’ve given up on enforcing illegal immigration.

Obama treasures a nation filled with people who are desperate, helpless and dependent on government checks. He desperately needs to stamp out independent and self-reliant Americans who want nothing to do with the government. Look no further than this declaration of war upon a productive, taxpaying Nevada rancher family.

Obama always shows his hand with the three-letter government organizations- IRS, NSA, EPA, ATF, FDA, SEC. Obama uses them to target, intimidate and persecute his critics and political opponents. Now it’s time for a new 3-letter threat: BLM (Bureau of Land Management).

The federal government has surrounded the Bundy family ranch outside Las Vegas with snipers, heavily militarized police, vicious police dogs, black SUV’s, helicopters, low flying airplanes and automatic weapons. Cliven Bundy, is a patriotic rancher whose family has had the right to graze his cattle on this land since the 1870’s. Since before there was a BLM. Bundy does not believe he owes fees to the BLM. He recognizes this as a States’ Rights issue. http://danaloeschradio.com/the-real-story-of-the-bundy-ranch/

After well over a century with grazing rights on this land, suddenly in the 1990’s the federal government demanded rent to allow the Bundy family’s cattle to graze on it. Bundy claims his rights to graze came from the State of Nevada, not the BLM, and has already paid fees to Clark County, Nevada. Bundy already owns the water and forage rights to the land. http://danaloeschradio.com/the-real-story-of-the-bundy-ranch/

The feds blame this assault on the fact that desert tortoises reside on this land. The government is now using the tortoise as their “cover” for an armed assault on an American ranching family. Yet it is important to note that this same BLM has waived rules protecting the desert tortoise on numerous occasions to support wind and solar projects favored by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. http://www.defenders.org/press-release/bureau-land-management-solar-plan-guides-energy-development-lower-conflict-areas.

http://www.windaction.org/posts/36964-lawsuit-searchlight-wind-energy-project-complaint#.U0jKnFzlQ-B

The BLM says Bundy owes $1.1 million in grazing fees (ostensibly to protest the desert tortoise) and has decided to use lethal force, positioning snipers on hilltops to perhaps shoot our own citizens. They’ve sicced vicious guard dogs on a pregnant woman. http://drleonardcoldwell.com/2014/04/10/feds-assault-cancer-victim-pregnant-woman-in-clash-with-bundy-supporters/

They’ve tasered and arrested members of the Bundy family for standing up to a force killing and stealing their property. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/04/10/tense-video-feds-taser-pro-nevada-rancher-protester-during-clash/

Bundy’s sister (a cancer victim) was thrown to the ground. Son Dave Bundy was beaten, bruised and arrested by this Gestapo-like force for the crime of…taking photos outside “the First Amendment Area.” http://mvprogress.com/2014/04/09/bundy’s-son-arrested-in-roundup-incident-public-protest-results/

And they’ve tried to banish protestors to a “First Amendment Area” where free speech is “allowed.” Funny, I thought free speech was a right everywhere on American soil? http://www.americasfreedomfighters.com/2014/04/11/blm-feds-assault-more-protesters-as-first-amendment-area-taken-down/

This is happening in America. Our country.

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval (a very moderate Republican) is angered by the federal government assault on property and States’ Rights. Sandoval said, “No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists, nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans. The BLM needs to reconsider its approach to this matter and act accordingly.”

Nevada U.S. Senator Dean Heller told BLM Director Neil Kornze, “…law-abiding Nevadans must not be penalized by an over-reaching BLM.”

Between you and me, I think these are both very weak statements for government overreach this dramatic.

Clive Bundy used to have 52 rancher neighbors. They are all gone. He is the last man standing because the BLM has regulated ranchers out of business in favor of tortoises and green energy projects.

Government isn’t just brutal, vicious and over-reaching. Government is hypocritical. This same government that is supposedly acting to protect desert tortoises, killed hundreds of these same tortoises only a year ago because they didn’t have the funding to take care of them. http://www.infowars.com/before-nevada-cattle-rancher-dispute-blm-was-euthanizing-endangered-desert-tortoise/

Even more to the point, why protect desert tortoises if you’re killing cattle? Rendering trucks have been spotted at the government assault. For you city folk, rendering trucks are used to transport dead cattle. Bundy believes cattle are dropping dead in 90 degree heat after being chased by government helicopters.

http://www.wnd.com/2014/04/feds-charged-with-killing-cattle-in-nevada-range-war/

Then there’s the glaring conflicts of interest in this case. Is the Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie refusing to intervene on behalf of a Nevada family because he is afraid of losing Homeland Security funding? The Sheriff is on the Board of Directors of The Nevada Commission on Homeland Security. http://dem.nv.gov/uploadedFiles/demnvgov/content/homeland_security/APPROVED%20MINUTES_NCHS_062113_klh.pdf

And there are now reports that U.S. Senator Harry Reid and his powerful attorney son Rory Reid want Bundy’s cattle off the land to make room for a $5 billion dollar Chinese solar project.

http://www.infowars.com/breaking-sen-harry-reid-behind-blm-land-grab-of-bundy-ranch/

After Cliven Bundy’s property and rights are taken away, who will be next? Who knows what justification the BLM or corrupt government bullies like Harry Reid will use to steal your property, or beat your son for daring to take photos, or taser your pregnant daughter, or push to the ground your cancer-surviving wife.

Wake up America. Either we stand up to Big Brother, or everything our great Founding Fathers fought for will soon be gone.

Democrats cut military pensions in favor of tax credits for illegals

Democrats coddle illegals

Michael Dorstewitz writes for BizPac Review, Jan. 11, 2014:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., blocked a last-ditch effort by Republicans Thursday to restore full military pensions. Their proposal would have been paid for by denying tax credits to undocumented immigrants.

Pensions to retired and disabled veterans were cut last month in a budget compromise hammered out by Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wa., and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Sen Kelly Ayotte

Sen Kelly Ayotte

Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., attempted to restore the pensions in the form of an amendment to a bill to extend long-term unemployment benefits. It would have been financed by requiring anyone claiming the Child Tax Credit to have a valid Social Security number, effectively denying the credits to illegal immigrants.

The Free Beacon reported:

Ayotte’s office said the bill would save approximately $20 billion over 10 years.

According to the Treasury Inspector General for the Tax Administration (TIGTA), the refund provides incentives for aliens to enter the country illegally and cost taxpayers $4.2 billion alone in fraudulent payments in 2010.

“The investigations of this tax refund found that they were claiming it for people who were, No.1, not authorized to work in this country, and secondly, for children that may not even exist,” Ayotte said in a floor speech.

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., called Ayotte’s efforts to require undocumented immigrants to present valid Social Security numbers — referred to as SSNs — nothing more than “partisan” politics.

“Talk about fiddling while Rome burns,” Boxer said, according to the Free Beacon. “If you are one of the 1.3 million people in this country—222,000 in my state—whose house is burning down because they’re going to lose the safety net of $300 a week to feed their families, to take care of their kids, to heat their homes, and my colleague talks about letters [SSN]?”

Ayotte’s amendment failed by a 42-54 vote, with Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., the single Democrat voting with the GOP.

“It’s a sad day when a common-sense amendment to responsibly pay for legislation that helps struggling Americans, repeals unfair military retirement benefits and reduces the deficit can’t even get a vote in the Senate,” Ayotte said in a statement, the Free Beacon reported. “We need to be able to have votes on behalf of our states, on behalf of the American people, and if we disagree, let’s vote them down. I don’t see what the issue is there, unless you’re worried that it’s going to pass because it just makes too much sense.”

Pres. Lucifer is weary, his minion hospitalized for exhaustion

Satan never sleeps. He prowls about the world like a hungry lion, seeking the ruin of souls.

There have been times in the past four years when I’ve been stunned at how the POS and his fellow Demonrats seem indefatigable and relentless in their work to destroy this country. So there is satisfaction in knowing that the battle is taking its toll on our enemies.

O last 2013 press conf A weary Obama at his last press conference of the year, Dec. 20, 2013, before he takes off for a 17-day vacay in Hawaii.

Yesterday, Dec. 21, 2013, as reported by Stephen Collinson for the AFP:

A weary Barack Obama, eyelids heavy, predicted Friday that the restorative power of sleep and the sunshine of his native Hawaii would restore his wilting fortunes after a bleak year. [...]

Second term presidencies are always tough, as exhaustion, unmet promises and fading political zeal humble exhausted administrations.

But Obama’s prospects look especially cloudy.

His agenda is comprehensively jammed in Congress. Key initiatives like gun control foundered and Obama’s approval ratings have plunged to record lows.

Meanwhile, his bond of trust with Americans has been compromised.

To keep his Nobel peace prize company on the shelf, Obama earned the “Lie of the Year” title from a major fact-checking organization for claims he made for his health care reform law.

A day before, on Dec. 20, 74-year-old Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) was taken to a hospital and treated for exhaustion.

Despite suffering a minor stroke in 2005, Reid recently said he plans to seek another six-year term in 2016.

Our political opponents don’t ever give up. All the more reason why we must never give up and never give in.

We’re in a pitched battle, friends. Stay fit — physically, mentally, and most important, spiritually! As St. Paul counseled in Ephesians 6:10-16:

“Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

50 pearls of wisdom to help you through life

Americans increasingly are maxed out on stress and depression. Millions are teetering on the emotional brink; some have gone over the brink, as attested by news headlines. (More on that in my next post.)

Here are 50 helpful pearls of wisdom from Regina Brett, originally published in Cleveland’s The Plain Dealer on Sunday, May 28, 2006.

Note: Email versions of this claim that Brett was 90 years old. Not true. Brett is a columnist for The Plain Dealer who was 50 when her “45 life lessons and 5 to grow on” was first published. She is now 57 years old.

I don’t know why emails perpetrate the fiction that Brett was 90 years old. Age does not equate with wisdom; some get more evil. Just look at:

To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me.

It is the most-requested column I’ve ever written. My odometer rolls over to 50 this week, so here’s an update:

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.

8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.

12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never blinks.

16. Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living, or get busy dying.

17. You can get through anything if you stay put in today.

18. A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.

19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Overprepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: “In five years, will this matter?”

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.

35. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.

36. Growing old beats the alternative – dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.

38. Read the Psalms. They cover every human emotion.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

41. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

42. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.

43. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

44. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

45. The best is yet to come.

46. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

47. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

48. If you don’t ask, you don’t get.

49. Yield.

50. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.

The Senate Just Became A Democracy. Harry Reid And The Nuclear Option.

Harry and the Boys just crossed a 200 year old line in the sand.

What’s that you say we are a Democracy? Nope sorry , but we are a

Constitutional Republic/ Federal Republic depending on who you ask. The difference is in a Democracy the Majority/Mob rules. A simple majority.

In other words Mob rules. Here’s an example.

You have 100 people 60 Men and 40 Women.

Certain Men want to rape the Women and they keep voting on it , but they keep losing by a vote of 59-41. So they can not rape.

Now simple rule change and “Democracy/Mob Rule” they vote and it is now 51-49 Men win and get to rape Women. Do you now see why it was important to keep the vote at 60.

But Karma is a Bitch and after 2014 the Demtards will have to pay the piper.

Legal expert says Senate Dems’ nuclear option could lead to ‘mass destruction’

Published November 21, 2013

FoxNews.com
Jay Sekulow, the Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice , told Fox NewsMegyn Kelly Thursday Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid’s decision to invoke the so-called “nuclear option” could change the face of the federal judiciary, saying “when you use a nuclear weapon there is mass destruction.”

Sekulow said on “The Kelly File” the Senate decision to approve a rule change that strips the minority party of its primary power to block nominations could be a slippery slope.

“I think Supreme Court nominees aren’t going to be off the table either, I don’t think legislation is off the table,” Sekulow said. “I think what Harry did today was use the nuclear option and Megyn, when you use a nuclear weapon there is mass destruction.”

He said Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, Obama appointees considered to be very liberal, could seem moderate in comparison to future appointees in other federal courts.

(Yikes!)  s_shocked-15

“The president said he wants to remake the federal judiciary and you can imagine the image in which that is going to be remade,” he said.

However, Sekulow said the Democrats’ move may backfire, because Republicans will be able to do the same when they regain the majority in the chamber and there is a Republican in the White House.

“The fact of the matter is they need to play tough too because it is good for both, this is not a one-way ratchet here,” he said.

Arizona GOP rebukes John McCain

john-mccain-lord-of-the-tarp1

The word “rebuke” means censure — an expression of severe disapproval or criticism.

In the United States, censure is the public reprimanding of a public official for inappropriate conduct. Although censure does not carry with it any particular legal consequences since it does not rise to the level of disciplinary procedures such as fine, suspension, or expulsion, censuring or rebuking a public official nevertheless is a serious matter because it reflects on that individual’s reputation.

Matthew Boyle reports for Breitbart.com that on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, by a 24-13 vote, the Legislative District 26 Republican Party in Arizona passed a resolution to formally rebuke Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for abdicating GOP principles in helping Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) secure votes to approve several of Obama’s controversial nominees.

The resolution states that “Senator John McCain unilaterally negotiated with the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to secure Republican votes necessary to pass a number of controversial Presidential nominees,” including:

  • Gina McCarthy for head of the Environmental Protection Agency, an environmental bureaucrat who supports anti-job/consumer policies”;
  • Richard Corday to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFRB), an unaccountable, unconstitutional agency created by the Dodd-Frank legislation”;
  • and “Thomas Perez as Labor Secretary who has a known record for abusing power as Maryland’s Labor Secretary, handing political appointments to Big-Labor bedfellows.”

The resolution states that McCain “provided the votes necessary for the confirmation of the above nominees,” and his “’deal’ was nothing more than capitulation to the Senate Majority Leader, giving him everything he asked for. Senator McCain claims in defense of his actions, that they were taken to prevent the Senate Majority Leader from ‘going nuclear’ and illegally breaking the Senate rules to pass these nominees.” But McCain’s activity contradicted GOP principles and “the position of Legislative District 26 Republicans is that senators should call the Senate Majority Leader’s bluff and force him to get the votes necessary from members of his own party.”

The resolution says that given those facts, McCain must “cease deal-making and negotiations for Republican votes that undermine the Senate Republican Leader.”

The resolution also argues that because of McCain’s work to help Reid and Obama secure confirmation of those liberal nominees, “the conduct of Senator McCain, is unbecoming a Member of the United States Senate, weakened the Senate Republican Leader, and is hereby strongly rebuked and condemned.”

In an email to Breitbart News, Matt Papke, the third vice chair of Legislative District 26 Republican Party and a candidate for Tempe City Council, calls McCain “the poster child for term limits.” Papke writes that McCain’s “back room dealings, insatiable war drum, and eroding base call to question why this man is our Senator. It is my hope that Senators McCain and [Jeff] Flake work to reestablish their relationships with the boots on the ground members of Legislative District 26 Republicans.”

This latest rebuke comes on the heels of the Maricopa County GOP blistering McCain in recent web literature, and his increased distance from Republicans in the state, including the House GOP delegation.

RINO in crosshairs

Way to go, Arizona GOP! Ten thumbs up! :D
