40% of U.S. adults (incl. 11% of Dems) not sure if Obama is American citizen

army-officer-quote-on-obama

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on July 16-17, 2014, finds that whereas 60% of U.S. adults think Obama is an American citizen, as many as 40% or 4 out of every 10 do not believe their president is an American citizen, which of course violates the U.S. Constitution’s Article II.

Of those Americans who are skeptical of Obama’s U.S. citizenship:

  • 23% outright don’t believe he’s a U.S. citizen, including:
    • 41% of Republicans, 21% of unaffiliated Independents, and 11% of Democrats!
  • Another 17% aren’t sure if he is a U.S. citizen, including:
    • Over 20% of Republicans and Independents, and 7% of Democrats.

The survey also probed Americans’ belief/disbelief in other conspiracies, including:

  • 32% of Americans believe President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by more than one shooter.
  • 24% or one-in-four adults are convinced that the U.S. government knew in advance about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and did nothing to stop them.
  • 20% of Americans believe that a UFO carrying space aliens on board crashed near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947.
  • 14% think the U.S. faked the moon landing.

One interesting finding is that in general, men are more likely than women to believe most of the conspiracy theories.

UFO blasts Taliban camp in Afghanistan?

UFOIn March 2014, a U.S. Marine in Afghanistan took this video of a mysterious unidentified flying object (UFO) blasting a Taliban camp to smithereens.

The video, allegedly shot sometime in March, was uploaded to YouTube on May 9, 2014, and instantly went viral, collecting 750,000 hits in just a few days.

The video, showing a strange triangular UFO in the sky, reportedly was shot by a soldier standing next to a stationary armored column.

A split-second later, huge explosions erupt as the mysterious UFO hit the purported Taliban camp, sending up plumes of smoke.

After the smoke clears, the cameraman zooms in to shoot a close up view of the triangular-shaped aircraft, which looks unlike any known U.S. military drone.

UFO1KGRA radio shows the video is a hoax, created by blending two separate videos into one:

  1. A video of a purported UFO over Virginia, USA, released on October 10, 2013, which is also a hoax.
  2. A video of an explosion in Afghanistan, without any UFO, taken in October 2007, which has been “mirrored” or flipped, with the armored vehicle now on the right side of the screen, instead of on the left:

Sadly, KGRA’s debunking video has only 2,439 views as of my writing this post, which goes to show human beings not only are gullible, they actually prefer to be bamboozled instead of know the truth.

What’s that light on Mars?

On April 2 and April 3, 2014, photos taken by a NASA camera on the Curiosity rover on Mars caused quite a stir among UFO enthusiasts.

The photos show what appears to be a bright light on the horizon.

Here are some pics of the mysterious light on Mars (I’ve circled the light in yellow):

light on Marslight on Mars1light on Mars2light on Mars3

Carol Christian reports for Chron that the photos became news when ufologist Scott C. Waring posted one on the website UFO Sightings Daily on April 6.

Waring noted that the light shines upward, as if from the ground, and is very flat across the bottom: “This could indicate there there is intelligent life below the ground and uses light as we do. This is not a glare from the sun, nor is it an artifact of the photo process.”

NASA imaging scientist Justin Maki points out that the bright spot appears in single images taken by the stereo camera’s “right eye” camera, but the spot doesn’t show up in images taken less than a second later by the left-eye camera. In the two right-eye images, the spot is in different locations of the image frame, and, in both cases, at the ground surface level in front of a crater rim on the horizon.

NASA has given three explanations for the light:

1. Maki said in a statement: “One possibility is that the light is the glint from a rock surface reflecting the sun. When these images were taken each day, the sun was in the same direction as the bright spot, west-northwest from the rover, and relatively low in the sky.”

2. Another possibility is that the bright spots are sunlight reaching the camera’s image sensor through a vent hole in the camera housing, which has happened before with Curiosity and other Mars rovers.

3. Yet another possibility is that it’s a cosmic ray striking the camera’s detector (whatever that means).

Where’s Waldo? Umm Malaysia Air MH370?

Folks this get’s stranger by the day. They are now saying it was hijacked, steered off-course and could have reached Pakistan. This has got to be hell for the families.  I ask you keep the families in your prayers . I have a feeling they are not telling all they know. My other question is “cell phones” I mean they had to have rounded them up really quick as there has been not one text, call, nothing.

What do you folks think happened? I’m leaning towards..sfun_abduct2 sfun_abduct3

Satellite data shows hijacked MH370 was last seen flying towards Pakistan OR Indian Ocean as investigators search pilots’ luxury homes and reveal one had home-made flight simulator

  • Officials confirmed missing plane was hijacked by one or several people
  • Could have turned off communication system and steered it off-course
  • Now believed plane could have flown for another seven hours
  • Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak refused to confirm the reports
  • Investigators working to establish motive and where plane was taken
  • Both captain and co-pilot are now said to be under investigation
  • Police raided the pair’s luxury homes in upmarket Kuala Lumpur suburb

Investigators say the missing Malaysia Airlines jet was hijacked, steered off-course and could have reached Pakistan.

A Malaysian government official said people with significant flying experience could have turned off the flight’s communication devices.

The representative said that hijacking theory was now ‘conclusive’, and, as a result, police have raided the luxury homes of both the captain and the co-pilot.

The last known position of MH370 was pinpointed as it headed east over Peninsular Malaysia. Radar pings then suggest the plane could have then taken two paths along 'corridors' which are currently being searched, which are a fixed distance from the radar station in the Indian Ocean (left)

The search operation has now been focused on two ‘corridors’, one which extends from  north west from Thailand to the Kazakstan-Turkmenistan border and the other which opens out into the southern Indian Ocean.

Countries in the plane’s potential flightpath have now joined a huge diplomatic effort to locate the missing passengers, but China described the revelation as ‘painfully belated’.

While Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak refused to confirm that flight MH370 was taken over, he admitted ‘deliberate action’ on board the plane resulted in it changing course and losing connection with ground crews.

The plane’s communication system was switched off as it headed west over the Malaysian seaboard and could have flown for another seven hours on its fuel reserves.

It is not yet clear where the plane could have been  taken, however Mr Razak said the most recent satellite data suggests the plane could have headed to one of two possible flight corridors.

It is not yet clear where the plane was taken, however Mr Razak said the most recent satellite data suggests the plane could have headed to one of two possible flight corridors.

The last radar contact was made at 8.11am on March 8 along one of the corridors, seven hours and 31 minutes after take off, but the plane could have deviated further from these points.

U.S. investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the passengers are being held at an unknown location and suggest that faint ‘pings’ were being transmitted for several hours after the flight lost contact with the ground.

NASA has also joined the international search operation, analysing satellite data and images that have already been gathered.

Malaysian authorities and others are urgently investigating the two pilots and 10 crew members, along with the 227 passengers on board.

Today, a police van with a large contingent of officers inside passed through a security gate at the entrance to the wealthy compound where father-of-three Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah lives with his wife Faisa.

Four plain-clothed police officers were also, reportedly, seen at the home of the other pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid, 27.

Both pilots live in the upmarket Kuala Lumpur district of Laman Seri, about an hour’s drive from the city centre – and each was visited today by a team of detectives who arrived in a white ‘people mover’ vehicle.

The homes are substantial and are, said one resident, typical of high income earners.

It is believed a team of search specialists entered Shah’s house and spent two hours searching for signs of foul play, before moving into search the co-pilot’s home a short distance away.

The New Straits Times reported last night that before police turned up at Hamid’s home, his two brothers arrived there in a Mini Cooper, believed to belong to a friend.

They hurried into the house and remained there for a short time before hurrying away in the same car, taking with them transparent blue plastic bags containing clothes and toiletries.

Hamid’s father, Abdul Hamid left with them. An hour later, the plain clothed officers left the house carrying two brown bags.

The concentration by police on the homes of the Captain and the co-pilot adds to suspicion that one – or both – of them might have had been responsible for the plight of the aircraft.

However, if it was diverted into the Indian Ocean, the task of the search teams becomes more difficult, as there are hundreds of uninhabited islands and the water reaches depths of around 23,000ft.

The maximum range of the Boeing 777-200ER is 7,725 nautical miles or 14,305 km.

It is not clear how much fuel the aircraft was carrying though it would have been enough to reach its scheduled destination, Beijing, a flight of five hours and 50 minutes, plus some reserve.

Experts have previously said that whoever disabled the plane’s communication systems and then flew the jet must have had a high degree of technical knowledge and flying experience.

In Shah’s house a flight simulator has been set up and is understood to have interested police following up one line of investigation – that he had used the equipment to practice making his real-life Boeing 777 ‘invisible’ by turning off all communications.

Rest of story below.

CIA admits mysterious Area 51 exists

Area 51A satellite image of Area 51 from 2000 shows dry Groom Lake just northeast of the site. (Source: Wikipedia)

Area 51, aka Groom Lake or the Nevada Test and Training Range, is a remote detachment of Edwards Air Force Base located in the barren desert of southern Nevada, 83 miles north-northwest of Las Vegas. (Edwards Air Force Base itself is located approximately 22 miles northeast of Lancaster, in the western Mojave Desert in Southern California.)

Situated at its center, on the southern shore of Groom Lake, is a large military airfield. The base’s current primary purpose is officially undetermined; however, based on historical evidence, it most likely supports development and testing of experimental aircraft and weapons systems. The intense secrecy surrounding the base has made it the frequent subject of conspiracy theories and a central component to unidentified flying object (UFO) folklore. Although the base has never been declared a secret base, all research and activities in Area 51 are Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).

Long the object of obsession of UFOlogists, they now finally have a break. After years — decades — of denial that it even exists, our feral gummint is finally acknowledging that Area 51 exists, but isn’t saying what’s inside the mysterious military installation.

The Associated Press reports, Aug. 15, 2013:

The CIA is acknowledging the existence of Area 51 in newly declassified documents.

George Washington University’s National Security Archive obtained a CIA history of the U-2 spy plane program through a public records request and released it Thursday.

National Security Archive senior fellow Jeffrey Richelson reviewed the history in 2002, but all mentions of Area 51 had been redacted.

Richelson says he requested the history again in 2005 and received a version a few weeks ago with mentions of Area 51 restored.

Officials have already acknowledged in passing the existence of the facility in central Nevada where the government is believed to test intelligence tools and weapons.

Richelson believes the new document shows the CIA is becoming less secretive about Area 51’s existence, if not about what goes on there.

Although the CIA now admits there really is an Area 51, it is still shrouded in secrecy. I searched for “Area 51″ and “Groom Lake” on Google Map, but got only this blanked and blurred-out image (I added the red arrows and labels).

I then searched for Nellis Air Force Base, a unit of which is the Nevada Test and Training Range (aka Area 51), and got this Google Map image (click to enlarge):

Wednesday’s Chuckle.

A Mexican (an undocumented Democrat), a Black (a documented Democrat), a Muslim and a Redneck were walking together on a beach when the Black stumbled over a bottle in the sand. He picked up the bottle, rubbed the sand off it, and a Genie appeared.

@@_animated_genie_1_

“I can only grant four wishes,” the Genie said. “Since there are four of you, you may have a wish apiece.” Pointing at the Black, he said, “Since you found the bottle, you may have the first wish.”

The Black thought for a moment then said, “I wish for a fleet of ships so that I can gather all my people and take them back to our homeland, Africa .” Poof! It was done! Thousands of ships appeared on the skyline.

The Mexican said, “I weesh for enough Cheby peekups to take all my peoples back to our homeland, May-he-co!” Poof! It was done! Row after row of Chevrolet pickups appeared on the beach.

The Muslim said, “I wish for a hundred thousand camels to take all of my people away from this horrible country loaded with infidels so we can live in peace in Muslim countries and serve Allah.” Poof! It was done! A hundred thousand camels suddenly appeared on the beach.

animated-gifs-camels-033

Turning to the Redneck, the Genie asked, “And what is your
wish?”

The Redneck watched as the loaded pickups began moving toward the border, then looked out to sea and watched the loaded ships sailing out into the sunset, then he looked at all of the Muslims getting on top of the camels and riding off.

The Redneck said, “Just give me a Bud Lite. It doesn’t get any
better than this!”

OK, So I’m Thinking This Guy Is Nuts. Daredevil Nik Wallenda Crosses Grand Canyon

Yup, He's Certifiable

Yup, He’s Certifiable

Daredevil Successfully Completes Tightrope Walk 1,500 Feet Above Gorge Near Grand Canyon

———————————————————————————————–

LITTLE COLORADO RIVER GORGE, Ariz. (CBS Las Vegas/AP) — Daredevil Nik Wallenda does it again.

In an unofficial time of 22 minutes, 54 seconds, Wallenda crossed a quarter-mile tightrope 1,500 feet above the Little Colorado River Gorge near the Grand Canyon.

Wallenda paused and knelt twice to get “the rhythm out of the rope” and murmuring prayers to Jesus almost constantly along the way. His stepped slow and steady, but jogged and hopped the last few steps.

“Thank you Lord. Thank you for calming that cable, God,” he said about 13 minutes into the walk.

The stunt comes a year after he traversed Niagara Falls earning a seventh Guinness world record. He used the same 2-inch-thick cable he used to cross the falls, only this time he didn’t wear a safety harness.

The Discovery Channel broadcast Wallenda’s walk on live television after 8 p.m. EDT on Sunday with a 10-second delay. Wallenda wore two cameras, one looking down on the dry Little Colorado River bed and one facing straight ahead. His leather shoes with an elk-skin sole helped him keep a grip on the steel cable as he moved across.

Winds blowing across the gorge were expected to be around 30 mph. Wallenda told Discovery after the walk that the winds were at times “unpredictable” and that dust had accumulated on and around his contact lenses.

“It was way more windy and it took every bit of me to stay focused the entire time,” he said.

Wallenda is a seventh-generation high-wire artist and is part of the famous “Flying Wallendas” circus family — a clan that is no stranger to death-defying feats and great tragedy.

His great-grandfather, Karl Wallenda, fell during a performance in Puerto Rico and died at the age of 73. Several other family members, including a cousin and an uncle, have perished while performing wire walking stunts.

Nik Wallenda, who was born a year after his great-grandfather died, began wire walking at the age of 2, on a 2-foot high stretched rope. He grew up performing with his family and has dreamed of crossing the Grand

French high-wire walker Philippe Petit had that same desire and set up a cable above the Little Colorado River, but Navajo officials said he never went through with the stunt and left his equipment there only to be taken down recently by Wallenda’s crew.

“I don’t understand why he didn’t,” Wallenda said. “It’s a site that works, makes sense. He clearly failed at it, so I want to do it successfully.”

Petit didn’t return messages left by The Associated Press.

Before the walk, a group of Navajos, Hopis and other Native Americans stood along a nearby highway with signs protesting the event.

The stunt was touted as a walk across the Grand Canyon, an area held sacred by many American Indian tribes. Some local residents believe Wallenda hasn’t accurately pinpointed the location and also said that the Navajo Nation shouldn’t be promoting the gambling of one man’s life for the benefit of tourism.

“Mr. Wallenda needs to buy a GPS or somebody give this guy a map,” said Milton Tso, president of the Cameron community on the Navajo Nation. “He’s not walking across the Grand Canyon. He’s walking across the Little Colorado River Gorge on the Navajo Nation. It’s misleading and false advertising.”

Discovery’s 2-hour broadcast showcased the Navajo landscape that includes Monument Valley, Four Corners, Canyon de Chelly and the tribal capital of Window Rock.

“When people watch this, our main thing is we want the world to know who Navajo people are, our culture, traditions and language are still very much alive,” Geri Hongeva, spokeswoman for the tribe’s Division of Natural Resources, said before the walk.
