Constitutional attorney: Department of Homeland Security is Obama’s standing army

Dr. Eowyn:

The extent and scope of the DHS’ lethality and surveillance are even worse than what we know — much much worse. Coming from a constitutional lawyer, this should be taken seriously and widely disseminated to your Facebook, Twitter, and email lists.

Bloggers have been sounding the alarm on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for some time now, but our alarms are ignored by the establishment media.

Writing for Texas’ Journal Friendswood, a reputable constitutional attorney is joining the chorus.

John W. Whitehead is a constitutional attorney, the founder and president of The Rutherford Institute — a non-profit organization dedicated to the defense of civil liberties, especially religious liberties, and human rights — and author of A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State(SelectBooks).

Below is Mr. Whitehead’s article, “Has the Dept. of Homeland Security become America’s standing army?, ” for The Friendswood Journal, June 16, 2014:

    This is terrible indeed. And since the president is so fond of his army of jihadists, who’s to say who will be wearing the uniforms and driving these monsters through the streets of America. Perhaps some of the same guys we’ve seen beheading Christians in Syria will be knocking on American doors at 2:00 a.m.

  3. Nitpick Larry’s comment:

    Yes, the DHS is President Dogpile’s personal militia. And that is something that we should all be very concerned about.

    And yes, Standing Armies have a way of turning on the people that they’re supposed to be defending. But we’ve had a Standing Army for many years. It’s called the U.S. Army. Theoretically, the moribund Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the use of the military in civilian law enforcement.

    Not to put too fine a point on it, but the article is really about the taxpayer-funded personal militia of the POS — I mean POTUS. Notwithstanding that one bit of sloppiness, Mr. Whitehead’s article is spot-on.

  4. Well, I would say we’re screwed.

    -But most all here already know that.

    For those of you that don’t, well, I suppose it sucks to be you, I guess.

    Then again, ignorance is bliss, for a little while, anyway.

    Then reality hits you right in the schnoz.

  5. The Feds gave one of those gunboats to the local Police Dept. here in Elko,Nv. too. Not too impressed with it-they’ve already had to call a tow truck to get it un-stuck while practicing in a field.

  6. Great photo that serves a powerful visual punch for the cognitively-blinded:

    Excellent article, too, by Whitehead that I’d read elsewhere a few days ago. All his articles are very well written & to the point like a dagger. In this one he certainly covers the entire gamut of Police State USA. Chilling.

    However, the guy has a flip-flopping shady background:
    –A member of the secretive CNP from at least 1982-1998 (the last year the secret member lists were leaked);
    –He was previously anti-homo in the Clinton years but has since done a flip to pro-homo;
    –He was (still is?) hooked up with “kingdom dominionists” (those who think men should set up the Kingdom of God vs waiting for the Lord’s return when HE sets up His OWN rightful Kingdom);
    –He wrote an “Act” re religious persecution that would be under the Int’l Criminal Court & Int’l Law (I guess he knew sovereign nations w/their own laws were on the Out-Go), etc.

    1. In alphabetical order, so scroll down to near bottom for “W,” Whitehead:

    2. Even more details here re Whitehead:

    3. Compare Whitehead’s earlier anti-homo stance at this link (vs his later pro-homo stance as in above two links):

    Bottom Line: I don’t know what to make of the guy. It’s hard NOT to like a good writer; he says all the “right” things. But I keep both eyes open re him just the same.

    • Good grief. :(

      Thank you for the info, TPR.

      However, Whitehead’s DHS article should be read and evaluated for the accuracy of its facts and soundness of his judgment — about both of which I do not find him to be flawed.

  7. No Joke about this. They hold drills Nation Wide. Any where they can intimidate kids like school and College. Media has them under the radar. Put a fully dressed one beside a fully dressed Soldier and ask your self why this Ninji is more secured and ready than our Military!

  8. Anyone have an idea when Obama is going to use his army against we the people. It makes me nervous that he is waiting so long to make a move. Wonder what he could be up to?
