Please pray for Dave

UPDATE (Jan. 14):

Dave finally returned my calls last night. He had been resting – sleeping a lot these past few days. He wasn’t getting sleep when he was in the hospital, so when they discharged him home, he slept for days.

He’s grateful for the prayers from y’all FOTM’s prayer warriors.

UPDATE (Jan. 7):

This morning, I tried to call Dave at the hospital but was told they don’t have a patient by his name. So I called and emailed Dave’s sister-in-law.

I just got an email from her that Dave was discharged from the hospital yesterday and is resting at home. When he feels stronger, I’m sure he’ll get on FOTM to give us the news himself.

Thank you for all your prayers!

Four days ago, on Dec. 30, 2013, I had asked for prayers from FOTM’s community of prayer warriors for our beloved Dave.

This is an update and a renewed request that you pray even harder for him.

On Dec. 29, Dave’s brother took him to the hospital because Dave was alarmingly weak.

Tests found that Dave was severely anemic; when he was admitted to the hospital, he had only a third of the amount of blood that he should have. Since then, Dave’s had transfusions of six pints of blood.

He also had a lot of fluid in his mid-section. When the fluids were drained, it was discovered that he had had more than 10 lbs. of excess fluid, which can be attributed to Dave’s diseased liver. That condition was discovered the last time he was hospitalized, just before Thanksgiving.

A number of tests have been done, the latest being a colonoscopy, but the doctors still don’t know what led to his massive loss of blood.

In the meanwhile, Dave caught a cold.

He desperately wants to go home, but not until his doctors find out the cause of his severe anemia.

So I’m asking you all to pray even harder for Dave.

Thank you, and may God bless you and your loved ones in these trying times,

  9. Praying for Dave…advise his family to feed him gently cooked organic grass fed liver with onions and garlic, vitamins: D3 15,000+ IU/day, K2 500+ mcg/day, magnesium/Zn supplements, food-grade Diatomaceous Earth (2 tbsp in a glass of water 2x/day), and cooked {meaning: over stovetop with 1/2c tumeric to 2c of spring water and add water as needed and cook for 7 min, it will become golden paste} organic powdered tumeric (1 tbsp) and add organic powdered ginger (1 tsp) to organic anise tea. Sounds like a lot to do but once these items are put into motion they will help his liver/blood/immune system heal. I stress organic because it is less taxing on the liver. I pray he heals quickly and is back home ASAP.

  22. I just called Dave. Still in the hospital. All the tests turn out negative for bleeding, so they still don’t know the cause of his massive blood loss. In the meantime, they are concerned that his cold may turn into pneumonia. Good grief.

So please pray specifically that Dave doesn’t get pneumonia.

He is sounding better and stronger than a day ago. If his cold doesn’t deteriorate into pneumonia, hopefully the hospital will release him home in a day or two.

I read to him some of the comments y’all wrote, to boost his spirits. Dave is very touched and grateful for your prayers and your kindness. He is looking forward to returning home and reading all these comments himself. :)

    • Thanks for the update, will pray for him.

    • Dearest Brother Dave, to be under such horrendous attack, tells me that you are a very special and important warrior in our Lord’s army. You must still have many lives to touch and who knows how many souls to save. Fight off these fiery darts from the enemy with all your might. And remember besides prayer, sing His praises and glorify God at every opportunity. The Bible tells us that demons have to flee when they hear praises being offered in the name of Jesus. May God bless you and keep you especially now in your hour of need.

    • Thanks for the update Boss. :)
